The Motels location is good, it’s a short walk downtown and by foot it takes you about 30min to oldtwon Sacramento.

DISGUSTING! Black Mold in the ceiling of the bathroom! I mentioned it to the front desk! they said oh ok I will let maintenance know. Place looks as if they haven't cleaned it on years

We walked into the room, and it smelled horrible. Opened the fridge and it smelled horrible and had water all over inside, It seemed like the room had not been used or completely cleaned for a bit. It had already used soap inside at the sink. The beds were so uncomfortable, so we tossed and turned all night. The next day their breakfast was not ready until 7am. It was horrible coffee with we felt spoiled creamer 2 pieces of fruit for a three story motel, a little bit of pastries.

It was convenient from the Amtrak station. There were places to go nearby. I was told I would get ground floor but got 2nd floor.

It was pretty quiet, room was ok but I felt the need to clorox wipe it down. The price was right and was walking distance to the convention center.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel, with nothing to complain about. I especially loved how conveniently close it was to downtown Sacramento. Honestly, I liked everything about my stay. The Econo Lodge provided a wonderful experience, and I was genuinely happy with it. I’m already planning to return soon.

Parking at night a weird guy showed up out of nowhere and tried to talk to us twice. Also i was charged twice.Also so many cockroaches. Toliet didnt work lady at counter was rude when i checked in she kept asking for my card and i said the rooms paid for and now i am charged twice this place is worse than some tweeker hotel

We had to shell out additional money to pay for another hotel. We went though Expedia to ask for refund, the properties refused. Stay away from this place.

Location was great.

Parking around the building felt secure, the bed was comfortable and the table and fridge/freezer were nice. Shower worked well and the A/C worked so well we got cold. WiFi was decent Some of the settings on the microwave didn’t work and it was close to the bathroom. The elevator worked but the lights on the buttons didn’t.

The check in was fast and easy and the location was right downtown. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My complaints are that the heater did not work at all. Not hot, cold, up down… anything. Luckily I brought my own blanket. The room smelled like smoke and there was even an ash tray on the bathroom counter. I think they also rent by the month because the family next door was yelling and screaming at their kids until late and it sounded like they had been staying for awhile. The kids were VERY loud. Lastly, there was a cockroach on the wall when I got out of the shower. It was definitely a roach because I took a picture and my phone looked it up. I don’t usually complain about any place that I stay but I will definitely not be coming back to this hotel.

I was tired and this place was the closest to me. Very ghetto. Run down and old. The soda and ice machine did not work.

Pretty good location in downtown Sacramento. Arguably an underrated city--as long as you understand it's California and the bad comes with the good. There was no notice about a time I had to get there or it's too late, unlike other hotels who have given me instructions on what to do when checking-in after-hours. After looking around the deserted front desk and being thankful the winter's night was more moderate than what I'm used to on the east coast (merely cold instead of a punitive freeze), I called the front desk and was greeted by a rude "hello?" by someone who forgot they were charging $90 for a motel that was still open. I explained I was here to check in and he eventually came to the office and checked me in. Either some sort of mechanism should've been provided to check in after-hours, a clear notice should've been provided that there is a limit to how late you should check in, or some sort of customer service standards should've been upheld. Either stay at the desk, have a sign saying "please ring a bell" or even "please call" so I'm not worrying if I will have to spend the night on the streets, or at the bare minimum answer the call by apologizing for the confusion and try to be helpful.

Wish the TV was a smart TV however it had a good amount to watch.

Sacramento has a bad homeless and drug situation typical of most liberal cities so walking at night probably not recommended for some. Staff was great. Big rooms, basic accommodations including fridge and microwave. 16th street is busy so some noise. Stayed here before, would again.

The next day we reported the issue to the lady in the lobby, she told us they would take care of it, came to find out later that day they did absolutely nothing! No spray or traps were laid, so i would NOT recommend this place!!!

Affordable and clean but needs some updates. My biggest complaint was how loud the bed was. The cushion sits atop a metal frame and any movement makes a horrendous sound.

The hotel is walking distance to mid-town, so it was convenient for me. The guy working the front desk was friendly and accomodating.

The staff is friendly and the price is unbeatable. My room looked exactly like what I expected from the online photos. I wasn't looking for anything fancy or elegant, just clean, comfortable, well-maintained, affordable, and conveniently located. This place checked all the boxes. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was dirty, the floors looked liked they hadn't been cleaned, I saw two cockroaches in the room. The kleenex only had 2 left in the box and the bed was super hard.

There are several bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. If You are in town for a game at Sutter Health Park like I was it's a 10 to 15 minute drive. 30 to 35 dollars to park depending on where you want to park. Also, you can take public transportation for 5 bucks to the park and 5 bucks back. Would stay here again.

I had an event in Downtown Sacramento. I like the location and was not planning to hang out at the hotel much. I like that it was reasonably priced and a mile from the event. They had hot coffee in the morning. This served my purposes beautifully.

out stay was great, untill the staff was pounding on our room door at 3:30am, really loud. apparently the room beneath us bathroom was leaking and they wanted to see if ours was too. we just found it so rude and scary for them to do that so late but they did apologize and the staff was pretty nice overall. great stay overall.

When I requested towels, I had to explain why I needed two towels. One for me and one for my wife. Lady manager was extremely rude. Pay the extra money, don’t stay at this motel. I was quite impressed with the EconoLodge in Sacramento on 16th Street. I just needed a place to sleep, shower and head to the courthouse in the morning. The room was clean, smelled nice and was actually quiet. The registration was quick and staff friendly. Shower had great pressure and I left thinking I could stay there again if the need arose. Oh and thirsty towels. They could have been a little bigger but dried very well.

The room was filthy. The bottoms of my feet turned black after walking on the floor: barefoot for about 10m. The room was dirty. There is no weather stripping aroundv so so there are huge gaps under and in the side that bugd cm walk right in. Soda machine is also broken and took $4 from me

The room was small and dated, but it had every convenience I needed, like: a microwave, a TV, a refrigerator. The room was clean and the temperature was good. The floors squeak a little and I was able to hear the person above me occasionally, but overall I would stay here again in the future.

This hotel has not been properly maintained and clearly has not invested in any kind of noise-proofing whatsoever. I'm not a particularly light sleeper and I couldn't sleep a wink due to the noise in this hotel. It sounded like absolutely everything happening inside and outside the motel was happening right there in my room. The room smelled strongly of disinfectant; I'm glad they clearly cleaned the room, but the smell was very strong and didn't dissipate. It was clear they had poorly plastered over cracks and dents in the walls, the mirror in the bathroom was cracked and everything, other than the flooring in the bedroom was old. On the upside, the guy who ran the place was nice and let me leave my car in their parking lot for the day after I checked out as my office was walkable from the motel.

The unit had all of the required things, the staff was very nice and helpful, but the room was perhaps the smokiest physical room I've ever set foot in, hence the star discount

This place is my go-to when I have to stay in town for work. I will continue to stay at this Lodge.

So the positive first...It was close to my event, it hdid some repairs it would be a 3 star hotel. Now it is barely a 2 star. ad an elevator so i didnt have to climb stairs, it looked like they had recently replaced the floors and the room over all was clean. Now for the bad. There was mold in the shower, the bathroom door had pieces of it missing around the door knob, like someone used a crow bar to break it open, the shower curtain was stained with something that looked like blue ink and the room generally was in need of some serious tlc. Basic clean motel, and quiet on the Saturday night I was there. Very good Italian deli down the street, where I had a nice lunch.

First off, the room was full of mold and was not clean. The shower was full of someone else’s hair. I have several photos to prove this. The gentleman at the front desk (Mike or harry, I can’t remember) said he’d talk to his GM about a “discount.” I’m sorry but this room needs to be fully refunded. We had two kids with us, one being autistic with immune system issues. If she gets sick now, this will unleash a whole new set of issues. Additionally, you can hear every sound from outside as if the door is open. In fact, you can see daylight through the door….and there are homeless people walking all over the property causing issues.

I booked a room online and when I got my confirmation email the date was wrong so I called to hopefully remedy the situation but, they said they would refund me and cancel the room so I can get another room which they said they had. Nope, no room was available and they never paid me back. Never going here again.

Room bed and shower were all clean. Reception was timely and friendly.

Had we known it was surrounded by homeless we wouldn't have stayed. Lobby was locked had to ring the after hrs bell. The bed springs dig into your back the room was nasty and need serious updating. Went to get breakfast door was locked again. Was there at 7:15 am. Minimal if any food. Check in lady signed for me before i could do anything.

It was decent for the price and had everything but terrible sheets it was cold and the sheets where not helping and the front desk lady wasn’t very friendly but they accomdated us for four days and said we couldn’t get another room after 4 nights not sure why but there are way better places to stay for the same amount. Very close to the bars and clubs though which I liked!

Also, the room was cold and the heater is not working becuase supposedly "the temperature in the room is controlled" so no way to turn the heat on during the night. I

Light mildew in tub caulking. Nothing a 10% bleach couldn't handle. Friendly and receptive staff. Great stay.

Had a decent time at the Econo Lodge. It is close to the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center and many good restaurants. One example of a needed upgrade is the electrical outlets were worn out so that my devices would fall out. These cost very little to replace. The TV was old, small and poorly placed for viewing. TV was not important for us; for others perhaps more important.

The bed was comfortable. The room was kind of shabby.

I requested an accessible room and it was unavailable when I got here. The staff seemed surly and annoyed that I decided to stay here anyway out of fatigue and desperation.

The price was reasonable and the distance to the Sacramento Convention Center was convenient (about 6 city blocks). It is an older facility that has been upgraded. The room was clean.

I like the staff services

Let me start by saying the staff seemed friendly. The bed was so hard and squeaky that EVERY time my body moved in my sleep it woke me up. The orange juice was so spoiled I almost threw up. There was a homeless person who started a fire in the alley next to the motel building. Holes in bathroom door and walls. It was really old and needs updating.

Beds were basically like sleeping on a board. The room walls need a cleaning/paint job. We were glad it was only one night...

If you don't care about cleanliness, don't care about bugs, etc. then this is a decent place.. but in this day and age, cleanliness is by far the most important part of ANY hotel experience. The ONLY nice thing I can say about this place.. the front office male staff persons, were both very apologetic for bothering us constantly about the parking issues, and when we did need help, they smiled and gave it their best. The female front person was absolutely rude, never smiled and seemed super annoyed that she even had to be there. It was just sad.
