Great stay , great location, in general great stay

THE HOMELESS/UNHOUSED POPULATION right outside the hotel was a huge takeaway from our Sacramento experience. The hotel itself was nice but it’s very congested with suspicious activity from the Arco next door. There was definitely a couple of people driving under the influence and people asking for money if you walked through the Arco. One night they had a bonfire on the sidewalk! I would never recommend this location to anyone. Nothing happened to our car or belongings, the hotel itself is clean and maintained fine. Our keycards failed twice on our 3 day stay and we had to replace them to get into the gated parking and our room. Inconvenient but it happens. I would not book here again.
- 4/5
The property is a little dated but it is nicely kept and clean. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The bed is comfortable and the property overall is ok. Breakfast could use some upgrading. Eggs and sausages everyday.
- 5/5
Room Was cleaning staff was nice gated parking
- 1/5
Rooms has bed bugs , pillow has blood and some foreign substance stains. They don’t do good job on cleaning sheets or pillows. They claim smoke free property yet whole lobby, elevator and floors smells like marijuana. Front desk lady is unprofessional, she was standing outside talking to her boyfriend while I was just waiting at the front desk for long time while no one was around. I would not stay here.
- 4/5
It was renovated and the rooms are clean and nice.
- 3/5
The room was very clean as well as the property. However the surrounding area is sketchy due to homeless hanging out at the gas station next door. Parking is behind a gate and very tight and not enough spaces for each room. Breakfast was your usual and was good and well stocked. 2 hours after checking out we realized we forgot a phone charger in our room, when we called and gave our last name and the room number we we’re in the lady that answered the phone said she could not find us in her system, even after telling her that I checked out with her two hours prior. She contacted the housekeeper who was cleaning our room and was notified that there was no phone charger left, which was a lie. I know it’s just a phone charger, but it’s the moral that someone found something and kept it knowing it was not theirs plus supposedly she still could not find my reservation and was even questioning if we stayed there. Also, FYI, the beds are fairly small. I believe they are doubles so it’s rather uncomfortable for two adults who are a little on the heavy side to comfortably sleep together. Overall, it was good for our two nights stay for a baseball tournament however, we will not be staying there again due to the homeless and filth outside of the hotel.
- 4/5
Room was spacious and clean. Parking is free and gated, but you need a room key which was good based on the area. Staff was helpful, letting us know you needed your room key if you are coming back into the lobby after dark.
- 5/5
This property fit us in last minute (after leaving an awful reservation down the road). Was so helpful in getting us set up. Knew we were leaving early for a flight and made sure to have the coffee ready for 2am. Also put together a bowl of pastries for us to take when we left in the morning even though the breakfast doesn’t start until 6am. This place was absolutely phenomenal.

I come here once a year to work a huge Crossfit festival at Discovery Park. This hotel is right next door to the street entrance for that park. The rooms are huge, as are the beds. A general breakfast of eggs / sausage / waffles / cereals await you at 6am, and the hotel is honestly a gem for the money. The only downside of this hotel is that it’s next door to a gas station where an abundance of homeless people hang out. Not sure why. The hotel does have gated secure parking. The hotel is an absolute killer for what i need for 5 days. The only downside is completely out of control of the hotel, and more of an issue for Sacramento PD / politicians.
- 4/5
Breakfast was great! The pool had a bit of debris in it but was still fun for my 12 yr old. Room was clean and comfortable. A little noise from people late at night but not bad. There are a lot of homeless people roaming around the area which makes it feel sketchy. Fortunately they have gated parking area which certainly helped. Wish CA would clean up the homeless situation. If it weren't for that I'd give it 5 stars.
- 4.5/5
Staff was great Having to pay for water from the market place fridge, as in it wasnt a vending machine
- 4/5
Area is very dicey and our relatives didnt like the fact that we were staying there - they didnt feel that it was safe. The parking lot is gated and they do lock the front doors at night, but we were fine. Breakfast was so-so; waffles, muffins and bread to toast. Those funky powdered eggs. There was also yogurt and some fruit and cereal. I liked that I could get coffee and creamers at all times of the day or night.
- 5/5
Hotel and room were clean and bed was very comfortable. 10/10 will stay here again. Location is a medium-sketchy with homeless people gathering at gas station next door but no negative interactions with any of them. I did appreciate the gated parking- felt extra safe.
- 4/5
Rooms were comfortable. The mini fridge was broken and would not close all the way and there was a towel layering the bottom shelf for some reason. Breakfast area was good with waffle makers, cereal, eggs, sausage, and toast options. Overall it was close to what we wanted and worked for the 2 nights we were there. I probably would not stay again though.
- 5/5
Quiet, clean, well managed, safe, off street parking, great breakfast variety, quiet efficient air conditioning, friendly and helpful staff. I will stay here again if possible when I'm in the area.
- 4/5
Clean, gated parking, close to the airport. I felt safe which is always a concern when looking for an affordable place in an unfamiliar city
- 5/5
The whole team was great from check in to checking out. Room was spacious and clean. Property was maintained by the grounds keeper.
- 4/5
Room service came and took all of our towels and didn't leave us any in return.

- 3/5
Hotel was clean but in a bad location. Daytime staff was great. Night staff were noisy. Doors slamming all night, loud talking kept us awake for the first two nights. After complaining about the noise it was quiet for our last night there. Breakfast was good.
- 3/5
It was okay. We had to fight to get pillows for the sofa bed, and it wasn’t secure at all. We kept finding the key entry doors propped open, even late at night.
- 4/5
The only complaint we had was we were on the bottom floor and noise in the hallway around 3 in the morning which wasn’t appreciated. Next time will request an upper floor.
- 4/5
Good breakfast
- 5/5
I loved that from the moment I walked in, the floor smelled amazing! Front desk lady was so nice and friendly. She recommended Joes Crab Shack and we loved that. The room was clean and the breakfast was delicious!

Very good
- 5/5
The breakfast was awesome. The pull out couch was utilized and better than expected. Beds were more comfortable than our next hotel that was twice the price. In a sketchy area but cars are gated and I wasn’t worried. Will stay again, especially for the price.
- 3/5
The room itself was spacious and relatively clean. The bathroom is nice too. But we were not greeted in a friendly manner by the young lady at front desk. There were also about a dozen homeless people roaming around right by the gas station next door. If you’re looking for luxury and safety, this isn’t it. If you just need a bed for a night then it’s fine.
- 4.5/5
The location, affordability, and warm breakfast offered. The parking was tight for check in.

- 3/5
The room was okay to stay in but parking was extremely limited and had only compact spaces. When we got there at night there was almost no parking available. The area where this hotel is located is also ghetto there was a lot of homeless around. The hotel is good for a last resort option. It is on the cheaper side you pay what you’re getting for. The company of the hotel is not bad but the area makes it bad. I would not recommend if you drive mid to large size vehicle. The location was okay it was close to the freeway and other places.
- 4/5
Room was semi clean. Parking was nice that it’s behind a gate but spaces were very small. Shower was terrible. Low pressure and uneven hot/cold, plus the shower leaked. Breakfast was nice. Staff friendly.
- 4/5

We didn’t have breakfast rooms were clean and a/c worked overall it was great for a quick night stay
- 5/5
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we had questions. The room was clean upon arrival. Additionally, the breakfast was delicious. It was the classic breakfast food, but great if you were looking for a quick thing to grab. Overall, the experience was fantastic!

The property was solid enough. Worth the value. I was curious about the “neighborhood,” warnings on the reviews. The area isn’t all that bad, there is some transient traffic. But the parking and property are secure enough for it not to be an issue.
- 4/5
The hotel staff and breakfast were very good. The area around it was kind of scummy but inside wasn't bad-room was decent and clean, breakfast was fresh and good and luckily the parking lot was gated.

Yes
- 4/5
Clean room and interior. Outside is typical downtown Sacramento. Graffiti, trash, and drug zombies hanging out at the adjacent mini-marts and living behind the property on river banks.
- 4/5
The breakfast is good, the room was clean and comfortable. It is within walking distance of downtown if you don't mind walking in an industrial area and over a highway bridge. There is a nice clean little fitness room. My only complaint is that the elliptical machine in the fitness room does not work. That is my preferred exercise machine. If you included it in the photos in promotional materials, I think you should keep it in good order. It is dishonest to represent that it is there and then not have it work.

The swimming pool was nasty I will NEVER stay in that place again!
- 3/5
Hotel room is alright Staff is friendly
- 4/5
Female staff very kind.
- 4/5
Downsides- the neighborhood is not amazing, definitely wouldn’t hang out around the hotel at night. Parking was a little confusing, and the front desk person got irritated when I asked questions. TV was pretty glitchy. Maintenance person did come in, though, and more or less got it working
- 3/5
The hotel was fair. The breakfast was typical processed foods. Staff was kind and helpful.
- 3/5
Breakfast was good. Clean, area was too busy and felt unsafe at times due to homeless people. Gated parking but homeless still hung out in parking at night and early mornings
- 5/5
Upon check in, staff were amazing!! They knew how to handle business and conducted themselves professionally.
- 4/5
i dropped my wallet in the corridor and the staff kept it safe and tried to contact me about it. Thank you!
- 2.5/5
I like the staff there, they were nice and attentive. Next to homeless encampment, next to gas station, loud street, doors slammed all days of the stay, water turn valve for shower was barely holding on and hard to turn, restroom door swayed towards entrance door, ac did not kick on when needed.

Overall, a very nice place. Very clean, nice amenities, friendly staff. The surrounding neighborhood is a little sketchy, but not too terrible. Limited parking but secure.
- 4/5
Rooms comfortable and clean. Breakfast good
- 5/5
The room was big the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was hot and had variety. Would stay again.
- 0.5/5
Hotel was of fair quality. Nothing could have been done about the location. Homeless encampments within a hundred feet blowing campfire smoke over and through the hotel and into the rooms. I should have known better than to stay in that area. Homeless people everywhere creating a toxic environment. Now I know. Never again!
- 4/5
Very good
- 4.5/5
It is quiet. I always enjoy my stay here. They have completely redone the rooms. Its clean and quiet.

It is a smaller hotel. There are homeless people outside everywhere and you’re in the same parking lot as a gas station. Basically the location is actually good for downtown. It’s very very close like 1 mile our window in our room did not shut and lock so that was a concern of mine, but fortunately nothing happened.
- 4/5
Located perfectly close to downtown Sacramento. The neighborhood is a little rough with unhoused individuals visible from the parking lot. Motel 6 is across a four lane street with interesting individuals coming and going but once your car is parked in the secure parking lot and you are inside, there are no problems. It would not deter me from staying again for business purposes.

We checked in, we went to the room and found a crawling friend in the room. My son stepped on it , I grab a tissue and picked it up and took it to the front desk. We were told there was nothing they could. Hotels.com took care of this.
- 3/5
From check in and through the middle of the stay there were shenanigans. The extra $10 charge for another car park. The television wasn't working then the remote wasn't work the staff wasn't friendly
- 5/5
Nice staff, Clean room

We came by train. Took a taxi where ever we went. Did not go to shop.

We Couldn't take a shower at any time due to the smoke alarm going off from the steam, we had the fan going in the room and bathroom so that was a bit of an inconvenience. Homeless encampment with barking dogs right next door and was quite annoying all thru the night. Bright light from gas station next door were shining thru the closed blinds had to use a hair clip and other items to keep them closed. Pictures on the website don’t portray the outside environment as it is in real life. If I hadn’t already payed and didn’t have tickets to a basketball game with my son I would have never stayed there but I wasn’t going to ruin his night.
- 4/5
Some noise in the hall from teenagers.

Was nicely cleaned and bed was comfy. It was a quick overnight stay. When I arrived, I was a little worried about the area but there is a secure place to park. It is adjacent to a AM/PM which can be either sketch or convenient!
- 3/5
When we first arrived, the girl at the front desk wasn't very nice. Perhaps she was having a bad day. Two phones in the room but niether worked. We had trouble with the TV remote. The gentleman behind the desk when we left was very nice though.

When we first walked in, the man working behind the desk treated us amazing. He was talkative, funny, and just all around pleasant. He noticed we had one king bed for my mom and i, and my 8 year old, and upgraded our room to teo beds no extra charge. He put us on the 3rd floor at the very back so it would be quiet, and wouldnt have anyone above us since it was booked. The room was spotless, the housekeepers were so helpful, the breakfast was outstanding. We ended up staying 2 extra nights. I cant say enough good things about this hotel, it was such an amazing stay.

The room was updated and modern, and the breakfast was decent. Overall, not a bad place to stay.
- 5/5
Great spot and very clean and quiet
- 5/5
Sheet had a stain but room was clean. Breakfast was fresh
- 3/5
The location was less than ideal because the surrounding area housed many homeless people. Cars at the next door gas station also played loud music throughout the night. We appreciated the fenced-in parking. While the room itself was tidy, the hotel smelled of weed in areas and felt dingy.
- 5/5
Perfect for a quick overnight stay. Everything was great
- 3/5
A lot of noise in the hallway the majority of the night.
- 1/5
Front desk was friendly, area
- 2/5
Was not good crap was coming out the bathtub drain front desk said nothing they could do unacceptable.
- 5/5
The room was great, tge staff was great. I think they must have just updated it. I would recommend it and plan on another stay.
- 3/5
The room stink and we had tpnswitch pillows cause they smell their was a coffee stain on the wall the blinds had stains
- 5/5
Manager at front desk was very kind and considerate!!
- 5/5
Nice, clean and quiet, which is amazing next to a freeway and and am/pm. A couple of blocks from the Discovery park, one of Sacramento's crown jewels. Nice, friendly staff, comfortable room and a decent breakfast buffet, also a short ride to downtown, old town, even a King's game (tho you won't find many Gems there this season, by the home team anyway). Will definitely stay next time I'm in the area.
- 5/5
Clean room friendly and friendly staff only complaint was the surrounding area was sketchy with people and the smell of cigarettes was strong but overall experience was fine no hiccups
- 4/5
Simple and good facility.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff and great breakfast buffet.
- 3/5
Unfortunately, the hotel itself seems to be in decline. We were told check-in could be as early as 3 p.m., but after a busy holiday weekend, we decided to arrive after 4. The front desk associate apologized profusely while explaining that our room needed more time to be cleaned. She offered to call or text us once the housekeepers finished, and suggestions of places to visit in Old Town while we waited. We understand things happen and the hotel associate did everything one could reasonably expect of someone in her position. Much of the hotel seems in need of repair and finer attention to detail. Our room did meet most of the reasonable expectations one would have for a budget hotel room, and I appreciate the extra effort to leave the towels on a playful bow shape. However, other things were missed: an odd stain on the door, and several more on the walls. I managed to get most of the stains with my make-up remover but the one on the door should come off with cleaner. The linens, from the towels to the pillows, were clean and functional; however, they were not particularly comfortable and I did not sleep well as a result.
- 5/5
Room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was great.
- 5/5
Check-in quick, room and facilities clean, staff friendly. Parking easy, too. No complaints, and would stay here again. Housing-insecure individuals in the area but felt safe during my stay.
- 4/5
Sketchy area.
- 5/5
Good room n staff

The rooms are clean and the front desk personnel was great!

Very clean room. Staff very nice. Breakfast OUTSTSANDING. Woman who was keeping things going at breakfast was incredible.

The hotel staff was very friendly and the lobby was nice and clean, our room was perfect and the location is great very close to Old Town.
- 5/5
yes......

The building was aged and the surrounding area was not as plush as the downtown but I would stay there again as the staff was friendly and rooms were clean. Thanks
- 5/5
The room was very clean, staff were very friendly, breakfast was good, and parking was free.
- 4/5
Nice and clean room. Jash from the front desk was really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
The staff member who checked us in was very welcoming and friendly, not to mention just generally upbeat. We appreciated his helpful advice. The room was clean, comfortable and the heater worked well! Breakfast was great! Would stay here again!
- 4/5
Kind of a shady area, but it's a decent hotel. Rooms are very spacious & the people at the front desk are kind.
- 3/5
The hotel is pretty basic but clean. It is in a sketchy part of the city, with a gated parking lot. I'll probably stay elsewhere next time.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Did some research to find this hotel bc my typical hotel was 3X’s more than usual the weekend I was in town.
- 4/5
It was a nice, very clean place to stay and I had no issues. The only minor inconvenience was that the bathtub plug didn’t work, and I enjoy taking baths. Other than that, everything was great.
- 5/5
We had a very comfortable stay at this Comfort Inn, nice staff, and it was economical!!
- 3/5
There was mold and crumbs on the bed. The bathtub drain very slowly. Loud car noises at 2 AM for half an hour. The cleaning crew was very noisy at 6 AM. When I asked to move rooms, the receptionist said they are fully booked without even looking.
- 5/5
Yes very clean staff was amazing
- 4/5
Clean and well stocked
- 5/5
The Hotel is worth the price. Very quiet on the 3rd floor and private gate parking lot was nice.
- 3/5
I stayed just one night at this hotel. The room was okay, but the property overall felt outdated. The comforter and linens were very worn, with threads coming loose, which made the stay less comfortable. It served its purpose for a short stay, but I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
- 5/5
We stayed for 2 nights, and Would stay again! It was clean and had lots of towels and wash cloths! They had a variety for breakfast: cereal, scrambled eggs, links, fresh fruits, muffins, bagels & toast. Parking is an issue. Limited and VERY small spaces, even for a compact. Got a ding on my new car...
- 5/5
The most comfortable hotel bed weve ever had by far. Breakfasts was nice as well. 100% will stay here again.
- 5/5
Staff was great, friendly and room was clean
- 3/5
The staff was nice. The room wasn't bad (nice to have a small couch and table to eat at rather than a desk or nothing at all..), and the bed was comfy. Could hear every step from the room above, and a lot through the walls, so not real quiet. Area around it was not good; many transients and nefarious-looking hanger-outers Tents just past the fence out back where you park. Was close to downtown tho and cheap-ish, so, ya know...

The staff was so welcoming and helpful. The hotel was well kept and clean. I would stay again!
- 2/5
Didn’t realize the beds would be so small and the room wasn’t very big no where to sit. Definitely getting two rooms next time. Also the gas station right next door has homeless people sleeping on the side wake with trash all over the place. One good thing was the gate to keep people out of the parking lot. Also the fee to have more than 1 vehicle but oh well.
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Linens were spotless. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful! I stayed less then I thought I would at hte property but I would absolutely be back if I'm ever up here again. Great stay

The rooms were ok, seemed clean. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. The area around the place is pretty sketchy. Not exactly a feeling of safety. If the area was better I'd pry stay again but I'm not a fan.
- 5/5
Room was very comfortable.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. It took about 5 minutes to get checked in.
- 5/5
The room was very nice. I enjoyed my stay. I would definitely return.
- 5/5
Great staff. Great location where I needed to be.
- 4/5
I loved everything about the hotel i will be back to stay again prolly sometime
- 4/5
Efficient rooms, nice staff
- 5/5
Things I want in hotel that deserved 5 stars.. 1. Very comfortable bed and bedding. 2. Excellent water pressure in the shower. 3. I stayed 2 nights and all staff members were pleasant, informative and professional. 4. Even though the room showed some wear and tear, it was very clean. 5. The a/c worked perfect. Even though my room was near a gas station, outside noise was not a factor. If you're a normal joe like me and looking for a good nights rest.I highly suggest this hotel.
- 4/5
Really appreciated the staff providing breakfast earlier than usual for triathletes and their families heading out for Ironman California--even after the electricity went out for a few hours in the middle of the night!
- 5/5
Everything was very clean. Spacious room. Excellent location. Walking distance to the Old town. Friemdly and professional staff.
- 4/5
Toilets did not flush well - property itself very nice but neighboring properties not so nice
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room, but a gas station next to hotel ruins everything ))
- 5/5
The heater was sufficient. It was a cold night. The front desk personnel awesome. I didn’t have the breakfast (slept late). Room nice and large. Clean. They provided extra towels. Hot water is hot 😁
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff and free breakfast
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff were friendly. If I could recommend getting better black out curtains that close all the way would be awesome!
- 5/5
I just felt unsafe because I don’t know the area, there was people/ homeless walking Very close o the property and gas station we arrive late evening and left early morning 7pm to 4am staff was excellent rooms great and the walk from lobby to room was excellent clean and cozy. Thank you for the hospitality.
- 5/5
Closed parking area was very convenient
- 3/5
I liked that it was close to downtown, but there is a lot of homeless people close by. They also advertise a hot tub and there is not one.
- 5/5
Shops were close. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
Was not the same description as on the app. Smaller, not as nice. A/C only keeps the edge of the bed that blocks the air, cool. The rest of the room is HOT.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean and a larger size. The neighborhood was questionable but the hotel property felt safe. There was a gated fence around property and parking. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. My kids loved the choice of a big or smaller waffles. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying again if we are in the Sacramento area.
- 4/5
Yes
- 4/5
Breakfast was surprisingly good! Room was clean and had everything we need. Parking lot is secure and we felt safe during our stay. Quick drive to midtown Sac. Cons: The unhoused are getting worse in this area, and it saddens me to see. It is a societal issue and these people deserve better. I never felt unsafe, but I was saddened to see the condition of many of the folks in the area. If you are coming for a romantic get away, this is probably not your best choice, but it is very clean, has everything you need, and we will likely come here again.
- 5/5
Exceptional value. Pleasant staff.

Breakfast was great, especially the waffles. Room was very clean.
- 5/5
Great stay. Private parking and close to major highways
- 4/5
Food was not good but not many complimentary buffets are
- 1/5
they were so unprofessional they were getting mad at me because the key for the room kept de activating they were getting mad at me like it was my fault if anything I should be mad they gave a key for my room number so somebody else while my gf was showering they opened the door this is terrible
- 1/5
I think they should state on their website about their very limited parking area so we are not stuck having to drive around and paying other hotels to let us park in their lot and have to pay an extra fee. This is by far the worse hotel experience I’ve had and specially by being from out of town and not being familiar with the area. I will never stay here again and I do not recommend it!
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly staff!
- 5/5
Good
- 1/5
Dead cockroach in the bed. Bed was terrible-my back was sore for five days. Bad area-lots of homeless share the streets and next door. Never again.
- 3/5
Property is in an unsafe neighborhood.
- 3/5
It was clean and secure and the staff was good. However, the area around the property is terrible, with many homeless people. Overall, the property is good and the parking area is small and crowded. The staff charged an additional $100 deposit upon checking into the hotel (for incidental). Still, it has not been refunded to my account even after successfully checking out (without issues) 5 days ago. I asked them why. Staff said it may take up to 7 days to issue a refund. However, I believe it should be refunded automatically after checking out. Waiting for a few more days to make a complaint.

Comfortable bed, wifi not Working at night just in the morning
- 5/5
Great check in with Troy. Thank you
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
The hotel is okay, but the location is not the greatest. A lot of homelessness and hotel accross and next to gas stations.
- 5/5
The property was clean and well kept. The bed was pretty comfortable. The room was clean, and the area was quiet even though there was a highway close by. It was pretty close to events and downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.
- 5/5
I stayed 2 days at this property, it is conveniently located, and close to a fabulous Mexican place. Everything was very clean and the breakfast options outstanding. The best was that, i forgot my kindle in my room ( i was there for a medical procedure at UC davis) i called a few days later about it, and they had it. It was sent home to me ( at my own expense) which is understandable in perfect condition. I would absolutely stay here again. Plus they have gated parking so it feels safe. The staff was also outstanding.
- 5/5
Calmful and clean, I love it this hotel
- 4/5
I would given a 5 stars for the staff and Service but the one of the night shift person is not friendly and rude. He should not be working in a hospitality industry.
- 3/5
I was going to give a 5 stars for the staff and service but on the night shift person is not friendly at all. Should not be working in the hospitality business.
- 3/5
AC was broken and was leaking water onto the floor. Stay was too short to say anything, though. Area is a little rough and room is not bad.
- 1/5
The check-in was awful and staff is rude. The phones in the room don’t work and there’s a $200 deposit which I’m hoping they don’t try to scam me and try to say it was me. We told the front desk the phones don't work and he said that's normal…
- 3/5
The staff was nice, the surrounding areas was dangerous, a lot of homeless trashing the sidewalk
- 4/5
I like the gated parking lot. But I don't the homeless people who hung around the surrounding of the hotel.
- 5/5
Comfortable place and close to our venue
- 5/5
Great room and great location! Close to DOCO and the Convention Center.
- 5/5
Near downtown, and acceptable price. it was good for me
- 5/5
Nice staff, nice room, safe gated parking.
- 5/5
The hotel was very conveniently located and had great access/egress by freeway and local streets. Check-in was quick and easy and staff was polite and friendly. The morning breakfast offered many options (sausage, eggs, yogurt, cereals, bread and bagels for toasting and a waffle maker), with coffee, juices and water. Checking out was quick and easy too. The room was large, and had lots of seating in addition to the bed. Mini-fridge and a microwave rounded out the amenities. A very comfortable stay!
- 5/5
In Sacramento for a convention. This hotel was amazingly clean and up to date.
- 4/5
reasonable place to stay near downtown area.
- 2/5
We had dinner planed and my hisband disnt even let us leave the room highly disapointes
- 3/5
Ok for one night. Bed was comfortable, but room was dingy. Hair in the bathroom, no Kleenex.
- 4/5
Check in person must have had a bad day
- 5/5
Very spacious and comfortable
- 4/5
Nice quiet stay.
- 5/5
Nice place for a somewhat sketchy neighborhood
- 5/5
We landed in Sacramento early, we asked for an early check in. Staff was able to accommodate us (thank godness because it was 98 degrees outside) The front desk staff was Amazing! The room was very spacious, we got a king bed, it was so comfortable. Loved that it felt like our own studio with a couch and coffee table. The clean was very clean! The breakfast was delicious!! Thank you for making our stay great! Walking distant to Sutter Health Park, we walked to the A’s game! Everything was perfect, will definitely stay here again!!!
- 2/5
Parking is a nightmare. Spaces too small even for a midsize SUV. Car got sideswiped and the cameras don’t see the whole parking lot so we couldn’t get any evidence. Homeless and trash are all over the front as you enter and make it less than appealing. Very loud place to stay, also. Heard the elevator and the stairs each time they were used. My recommendation would be to drive on into downtown and find a place to stay there.
- 5/5
I will recommend this place.
- 5/5
Great staff !
- 2/5
Wouldn’t go there agsin
- 5/5
Quick, efficient and friendly
- 5/5
The beds were very comfortable.
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
While the property is‘downtown’ Sacramento, it is not walking distance to any other neighborhood. Perfect for close to I5
- 4/5
The Comfort Suites Downtown for great inside, clean and quiet, however the neighborhood seemed sketchy. Fortunately there was a gate around the parking area to keep your car safe.
- 2/5
Nothing what I expected. Lotta homeless people around. The property was really poor.
- 5/5
We stayed in the family suite, it has enough space for my family of 4.?Hot breakfast was very good and satisfying. Not the best downtown location but Overall great experience.
- 5/5
It’s a quiet hotel. It’s close to the freeway, but there is no freeway noise. It’s close to downtown Sacramento and great restaurants.
- 4/5
Decent place for a night. Not the best surrounding area, but property felt safe and had gated area to park. Staff was great and room was very nice. Breakfast pretty decent as well. A good mid-tier option for the area - not the best, not the worst and priced about right.
- 3/5
Ok and close to travel to downtown Capitol but pretty seedy area...Not a place to walk... Very nice staff.. Breakfast was ok... probably would it stay or recommend to anyone..
- 5/5
Centrally located. Rooms are very clean. Staff friendly and accommodating. A little award upon arrival only 2 spots in front, however once you're checked in, you use your room card to access a gated parking lot. Breakfast offers eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, english muffins, fruit, juice, cereals, etc. Room offered 2 sections bed and sleeper couch, and price was very reasonable, no complaints.
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast and an excellent Mexican restaurant two doors down.
- 1/5
Sadly the property was located near a Homeless Shelter and there were unhoused people all over the area. There were even people in the secure gated area of the property in the bushes surrounding the parking lot. We canceled as it’s a very unsafe area would not ever stay there.
- 5/5
Hotel is a gated property 2 blocks from Discovery Park. Perfect location as far as distance goes. The block has a colorful cast of characters hanging out at the Arco gas station next door, but the parking is gated and safe, and the hotel is quite lovely. The hotel has a continental breakfast, which is actually pretty good, and the rooms are very nice with good a/c.
- 5/5
The beds here were outstanding. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Good front desk support
- 5/5
quick and easy check in with friendly staff! also room was very clean! :)
- 5/5
I had read the reviews and even though it was in a place where homeless are all around I felt safe and I did worry a little bit about my car but it was just fine. The desk clerk was very nice and let me use the bathroom before I checked in which I was very appreciative of. Got checked in and went up to my room that was very clean and neat. The bed was so comfortable and I was able to find things to watch on the tv. The shower was very nice and refreshing I just wish the air conditioner was a little more accommodating but overall I had a very pleasant stay. Thank you.
- 4/5
Hotel Beds were great as were the pillows. For a one night stay it was fine. Area is a bit sketchy at night. We walked during the day from hotel to old town and baseball stadium. We took an Uber back. It was fine.
- 4/5
A good choice for a budget stay in Sacramento. Decent space in the room, but beds are only double size. The pull out was handy. Good hot and cold breakfast items in the morning. Easy walk along to Old Sacramento, but wouldn't walk in the other direction due to vagrancy. Not the hotels fault though.
- 3/5
As you get off the highway, the property is surrounded by homeless transience and destitute. You park behind a semi secure gate, but anybody can walk into the parking lot. The staff was disgruntled and not very polite.
- 3/5
We did not realize how unsafe the area around the property was. Also, the room was not thoroughly cleaned.
- 3/5
Did not share that there was gonna be $100 room deposit. On top of what was already paid for. The exterior pictures don’t show the deplorable conditions of the out outside area.
- 4/5
First time here and very nice, quiet at night, adequate breakfast, clean
- 1/5
I will be posting the pictures on my Facebook page and youtube.com.
- 5/5
The service is friendly, clean and reliable. I would stay here again. The complimentary breakfast is very good.
- 3/5
This hotel is not downtown. There are homeless people all around. I walked to McDonald's because the only other food was convenience store food or Denny's which had no cook! McDonald's was closed at 7 pm because it's too dangerous to be open later. I had to walk under a bridge where men cat called and others were smoking crack. Cops were frisking a half naked guy. But my hotel room was pretty good, clean, quiet. Still. I had hoped to walk to a restaurant and have a nice meal. It's not downtown.
- 5/5
It’s a comfortable quiet place to rest. Very clean room. Free breakfast included a plus.
- 5/5
I had a great experience at this location! Big thanks to Ryan at the front desk for the excellent customer care, your warm welcome made a difference. I also really enjoyed the amenities, especially the jacuzzi and gym. Looking forward to staying here again!
- 3/5
the a/c barely worked
- 3/5
Close to event
- 4/5
Convenient for freeway acces. 15 minute walk to old town sacramento but a vagrancy problem on the route.
- 3/5
The rooms are clean but the condition of the hotel is on the older side. The front desk service was great. This location was in my travel budget.
- 1/5
There was blood stains in the towels, the rooms are not clean. Floor was dirty and there was a lot of dust in different places.
- 2/5
Front desk attendant is pretty unhelpful and dismissive. We called to ask about how to operate the TV and he cut my wife off mid-sentence and said “press OK twice” and HUNG UP. Doesn’t really effect us but twice as I have been passing the front desk the phone was ringing and ringing and he was out front vaping.
- 5/5
Fitness center
- 4/5
stay was ok
- 3/5
Very mediocre at best. Hotel is in a very very bad area. Room had an odor, towels in the bathroom had stains from who knows what. I don't believe the rating listed is accurate at all.
- 5/5
Very pleasant stay at this Comfort Inn. I’ll definitely select this location again for my next visit to Sacramento.

We came in on Amtrak Coast Starlight at 700:am and after arriving at hotel, the check in person found an unused room and asked if we wanted it for an super early (no additional charge) check in. And she told us a little about the area too. Nice folks.

After reading reviews I was nervous but our stay was fine. Clean room and public areas, breakfast was normal hotel one. Parking is gated so safe. Very convenient if you are going to events at Golden 1 center. Easy to just Uber they're and back so you don't need to worry about parking there
- 5/5
Very nice and pleasant stay. Thank you for your hospitality 😊
- 4/5
Many homeless around and noisy
- 4/5
Good motel for a quick stay in the capitol city.
- 3/5
Really loud. People partying late. Stair doors slamming throughout the night. Staff was super nice.
- 5/5
Property was clean, staff very nice. Our room faced a gas station so it was a little noisy, but was not a terrible experience.
