    The room was alright. Out of date sure but for the price it was fine. Someone painted the room and they couldn't pain. It was on the sink and even on the comforter, dried of course but still. The bed were super comfy though. The breakfast was as minimum as they could give u. I didn't even bother going down but my wife did

    I booked a downstairs handicap accessible room because I struggle with stairs. I got there and was told there was no bottom floor rooms or handicap accessible rooms. Will never stay there ever again. Very disappointed!

    Quiet. Not sure why the lady wanted to change my reservation. I booked 3 rooms. 2 rooms king size the 3rd two queen beds. Changed it to 3 with 2queen beds and charged me an extra $90 in cash. So not what I expected there. They were remodeling so I would assume they didn't have what I booked. Total over $500 could have went somewhere nicer.

    I was charged a $50- deposit, which I was NOT told about prior to booking. When I got there I was told "I'd get it back upon checkout", then when I checked out, I was THEN told I'd get it back "after the maid checked the room", I waited til later at day at the next CHECK IN TIME (3PM) & THEN I was told I would "get it back in 3-5 business days"...so, I waited the 5 business days, called back to get my deposit, and WAS THEN told to "call back in the morning to speak to the manager". I called 4 times the next morning and NO ONE answered, so I left a voicemail which NO ONE returned! I then DROVE to the hotel and asked to get my deposit and was THEN told that I "had to wait 7-12 business days for my deposit". I waited the TWELVE BUSINESS DAYS, then DROVE BACK to the hotel and was THEN told I now had to "CALL MY BANK, TO GET MY $50- BACK!!!" Had there been an issue with the room, they would have said so,from the beginning, but they KNEW I didn't leave it messed up in ANY WAY...THEY SIMPLY WANT TO SWINDLE SOMEONE!! I LEFT THAT ROOM IN PRISTINE CONDITION- all towels were gathered up and left on the counter for them, ALL trash was thrown away- to INCLUDE the bar soap & I EVEN SCRUBBED THE SOAP DISH FOR THEM, SO NO ONE WOULD HAVE TO DO THAT!- NOTHING WAS LEFT IN ANY OF THE DRAWERS OR THE FRIDGE OR MICROWAVE, ONLY ONE OF THE TWO BEDS WAS USED W/EXCEPTION OF THE TWO PILLOWS, BUT OTHERWISE THE 2ND BED WAS STILL ENTIRELY MADE & UNTOUCHED!!     Easy access to everything nearby It was being renovated so some of the days we were woken up early by construction workers in the room across from us with power tools. Also the stairs to the second floor rooms are very sketchy and seem unsafe/not up to code

    Staying at this motel left a negative impression, they charged me extra money without explaining why. I wrote to the motel a week ago, but there is no answer. We did not damage anything, although there were many broken things in the room. I don't recommend staying here.

    This app and the internet says the pet fee is $15, but when you check in they charge $25. I reserved a single, but was given a double. The room was gross to say the least. It looked like some grease or sort of bodily fluid/waste was smeared on the walls. The clerk was so concerned about me not smoking in the room (i don't smoke), but it already stunk like cigarettes in there. Those are just a few things, but there was more issues. No pride in running a business was shown in my experience.

    I had my dog with me and also Expedia online was $15, hotel charged $20. When I went to the desk the man became argumentative and just dismissed me when I showed him the actual reservation and told me to call Expedia and get a refund ( non-refundable when booked) and it wasn’t his problem. When Expedia called them directly, the female claimed the man ( owner) wasn’t there. While their children were playing video games on the large TV that I could see from the check-in counter. What terrible management/ownership of the hotel. Terrible people

    To start off the staff/ owners were the most rude people I've ever dealt with at a hotel but i was prepared for it based on the previous reviews i read about the place but also the bathrooms were super dirty. Furniture in the room were beat up. Bed was alright but but the staff should learn to treat people well.

    Clogged shower drains. Couldn't shower. No toiletries in shower. Owners want $250 if you want shower in another motel. Only two Towles. Spoiled, mold/stale & expired breakfast that would give food poisoning. Owners would treat you like homeless if you complain about anything.

    I won’t stay here again. There were no tissues in the room and the toilet paper was one ply so not much to blow your nose in. The pillow was hard, flat and smelled like used oil. The AC was good, I froze!

    Tried to check in to my 2 queen NON SMOKING room that i booked and the owner rudely yelled at me and said that they don't even offer non smoking rooms. I proceeded to show him my booking of a non smoking room and he proceeded to yell at me. I then of course demanded a refund because that's not what I paid for and he refused and told me I had to go through Hotels.com to do so. Almost 2 weeks later, I have been denied my refund. Stay far away from this place and booking through this site. It's not worth saving a couple dollars and will cost you in the long run. I can only image what the rooms at this place would've looked like with somebody like that in charge.

    When we checked in we asked for a first floor because neither myself nor my husband can climb steps ( I have severe COPD and my husband has a bad leg and can not carry anything up steps) she said they didn’t have any but she would double check. She then told us it would be $ 20 more for the first floor. Our room was paid for in full already . Then she said it is $ 20 in cash that it would be more to use a credit card . We had no choice because we have been driving for 12 hours. We do not recommend this place . It stank because no air was on bathroom is dirty.

    We picked the econo lodge for a budget stay, as we were only in the room for a few short hours. The gentleman at check in was rude, and refused to give me a receipt—he was more worried about how many people were in my room and if we had a pet. Breakfast offerings were meager, but not of great concern for us. The biggest issue was my daughter waking up to a beetle crawling across her face. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

    Rented two rooms for an overnight stop on the way to the beach. Rooms were dirty. And when I say dirty, I mean blood/bodily fluid on bathroom light switches and doors. A fast food bag sitting on top of a lamp. TV in one room didn’t work - didn’t try the other TV. I grabbed a washcloth and soaped it up, wiped down switches and door handles, told everyone to not touch anything and went to sleep for a few hours. If it wasn’t after midnight, we would have left, but we were too tired from driving. This hotel should not be allowed to operate under such unsanitary conditions

    Stayed in area to attend a renaissance faire. The Econo Lodge appeared better than most of the hotels in the area. It was clean but old. The staff was friendly and helpful. Can’t say that it was worth $60 per night.

    Room was great. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. BUT they charge a $50 security deposit when you check in, and it’s been 12 days and they still haven’t returned mine. We left the room in perfect condition, nothing damaged. Can’t get in touch with the manager. So just be aware of that.

    Then they got mad about having a little bit of food on a towel. My 1 year old is learning to eat so she’s a bit messy but they really got mad about that. And after my 3rd day there I also had 1 more day left on another reservation and they would not let us keep the same room we are already in. The beds were okay, but need more pillows. And the door safety lock was broken. And the mircowave made a sound like it was going to explode. And also dirty water backed up into our shower somehow. And for 5 people they only gave two towels.

    We could not get a hot water in the bathtub. It was only warm. The AC was noisy. The bed was supported by a frame that gave noisy sound when we moved around on the bed. Lastly, the breakfast was only until 9 am. Not even coffee was available.

    I asked for my money back so we could go elsewhere and he told me that it was non refundable. When I told him that I booked a wheelchair accessible room and they gave it to someone else he told me that I should have called after booking it to make sure that they didn’t give it to someone else. So my boyfriend had to carry my daughter up 2 flights of stairs to get to our room as they didn’t have elevators. The room was gross and the beds were so uncomfortable. I would never go there again.

    Be aware that you will immediately be charged as much as an additional $100 "security deposit" when you check in, which may not be refunded for up to 5-7 business days. The toilet seat was broken, the refrigerator leaked, the window treatments were missing. Numerous scrapes on the walls and furniture. I took photos of everything. I suggest that you do the same if you decide to stay here.

    Definitely could have been cleaned better and stained sheets . The guy at the front desk was very rude when checking in and couldn’t get extra towels. The area had stores and food close enough to walk was quite at night. The beds were very comfortable and tv and Wi-Fi worked great so it was cool for the price

    I booked this hotel for my son and his friend. They were on a theme park trip tour and headed to King's Dominion. This hotel was close, so we chose it. I pre-paid the room. When they arrived at 10PM, the clerk said they had no reservation. They had the confirmation and called hotels.com who said they did have a reservation. Hotels.com even called the property. The clerk kept saying "no, no, no". I knew they would be arriving late and that is why I pre-paid. Obviously, the hotel gave their room away. After an hour and a half on the phone, hotels.com got them another room about five miles from the Econo lodge. Hotels.com paid for the second room however it really annoyed me that I had to pay Econo lodge because I could not get a refund when my son was denied the room. I am guessing the Econo lodge got paid double for the room. My son was exhausted and should not have had to deal with not having a room after it was prepaid!

    The front desk gentleman was so very kind and friendly. The hotel is backed up to woods which I can tell they are trying to clean up to probably help, but the doors have a slight Crack in them which I think allows bugs in. The room was fairly clean but a few things that bothered me was there was dust and bugs in almost every corner, I had to kill a wood roach, when I pulled down the curtain dust and dead bugs came out, there were copwebs in the room and some old hair in shower, I had to pull a ton of hair out of the drain to stop the tub from flooding. You could hear slamming of doors and thuds randomly. I'm glad they had security cameras and good outside lighting. For the price it was a very decent hotel and I loved having a fridge and microwave and air conditioning for such a got weekend. I can tell they are trying to make improvements to the place and I would return for the great rates.

    They claim they didn’t receive my reservation, had to paid again, the look it okay but not enough linen. The bed was king the sheets were full and very thin, not enough pillows. When I call around 10:00 pm for service and to complain about noise from the room above no service a message answered they were out for the night, but at 1:30 am they woke me to tell me that finally found my reservation and woke me up. They need better management and more linens. I was uncomfortable all night 😒😕

    If you are looking for an inexpensive, clean place to stay for the night this is your place. I was quite impressed with how clean this place was outside and inside. They had a small breakfast downstairs of cereal, bagels, etc. The staff was very pleasant. Overall impressed especially considering this was one of the cheapest hotels in the area.

    This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I was traveling with my two young children and we didn’t arrive until about 11 pm. Check-in was fine. The woman working at the front desk was friendly. We got into our room and tried to turn on the AC and it didn’t work. I called the front desk and because of a language barrier, I wasn’t sure how this was going to be resolved. I only knew I was supposed to wait 30 minutes (for it to start working or for her to come look at it, I wasn’t sure). After about 20 minutes, I called back to clarify and she said she’d come look at it. She couldn’t get it working either. She offered us a refund. I asked if they had any other rooms. She said she didn’t think so but she would double check. She called and said they had a room. We packed all our stuff up and were about to walk out of the room when she called back and said the room was only one bed which would not work for us. She offered a refund again and I thought she meant we could stay but she would compensate us. I obviously accepted the offer. She called back a few minutes later and asked if we were going to check out. I said no, obviously, as I had nowhere else to go at 11:45 pm. I accepted my fate and put my kids to bed. The air started working around 1 am. I was in the shower and the woman at the front desk knocked on my door and scared my 10 year old. Then, our phone rang and I’m assuming it was also her. Remember, this was after 1 am. The room was fine otherwise.

    I stayed one night to split a 10 hour drive by myself. The bed was comfortable and the towels were soft and absorbent. This hotel had everything I need to get a good night's sleep. The room was cool, dark and quiet! The price was awesome too! Definitely a place I will return to!

    I give a five star for the value over price, many things are better than what I expected, clean and spacious rooms with fridge, microwave, quiet and functional AC/heater. Location is close to 95.

    Great quality for the price. Breakfast was a packaged Honey Bun and coffee but i didnt expect much for breakfast for the price. Owner tried to accuse us of having pets when we didnt said he saw us in his camera having two cats??? Nope didnt travel from Bc canada with cats!

    The listing is totally fraudulent. We booked a room with 2 King Beds. The desk clerk, Sam Patel, claimed no such room exists, they are all queen beds. Even worse, the room he gave us had only full beds. He lied directly to our faces and said they were queens but refused to actually go to the room to look. When I asked for the manager's contact info he refused to provide it and threatened to call the police. Sam Patel is a rude, disrespectful liar who cons his guests and treats them like dirt. Do NOT stay.

    The desk person was nice enough, but the room was not clean. There was a bug inside the coffee maker and the AC stopped working in the middle of the night. Thankfully it was just a night passing through, but you definitely get what you pay for and I’ll try to splurge on a higher price if that’s what $80 gets me. Yuck.

    Didn’t work and immediately had to walk back to the office to get another card . So once I Was able to enter the room I was hit with the stale stench of cigarettes and Mold. It was a heat advisory day and was also hit with no ac. I guess they save money by turning it off. But the heat was almost overwhelming.I did find the unit and turn it onto max. We left and came back the room had finally cooled down. I will also Add that I used a chair to safely secure my door as I found out when I went to lock it the door was missing the piece to actually lock it . The room did seem “clean”. I did check bedding and did noticed ripped skirting . Back if bathroom door was dirty. The hair dryer looked like a fire hazard. Wont stay here again. Also free breakfast was not breakfast more so honey Buns and packaged muffins.

    Lack of hot water water was dirty in the morning that got bad hot water heaters. Obviously. They need to replace their hot water heaters or at least have them pumped get the sediment out of them. Other than that the people that worked over very nice and the room for a nice and clean.

    The only thing I disliked is that the TV had no news channels (Fox is mainly an opinion channel), only a "news mix" six-channels in-one-picture, a thing I had never seen. Almost all the other channels were shopping or televangelist channels. (It was a Sunday).
