room clean and very quiet
- 3/5
Hot tub water was not hot enough . very noise from the cars driving bye. For how much it cost it wasn't worth the money.
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
The room was clean, the property was charming, and the inn keeper was very nice! Location is great for running springs and snow valley!
- 5/5
Clean room, amenities where amazing friendly staff
- 5/5
Cute cozy cabin
- 5/5
Bryce and Gary at the front desk were exceptionally helpful! I arrived during a snow storm and Gary helped to secure a cabin that was cozy with a fireplace. Upon check out, Bryce ensured that I was able to get out of the parking lot by clearing off my car and shoveling snow from behind my car.
- 5/5
Great customer service! I will definitely be booking again.
- 5/5
The staff was really kind at check in. Lovely and quiant lodge that was conveniently located near a breakfast spot, dinner spot, and cool pizza place. We stayed here and enjoyed a great ski vacation close to Snow Valley Mountain Resort. The rooms were great, clean, and had all the right amenities for our family stay. The kids loved the pool and jacuzzi to finish up the night.
- 5/5
Very good stay
- 5/5
Adorable and lovely place, very clean as well. 10/10 experience.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay!
- 1/5
The rooms are full of bed bugs!
- 4/5
Clean room, convenient location, nice affordable stay for a trip to the mountains. Only complaint was hearing yappy dogs nearby.
- 5/5
Parking was easy and short walk to our room. Room was a bit cramped but had everything we needed, all amenities were provided. Bathroom was amply spaced, great shower and large mirrors surrounding. Room smelled very cabin-ey and was clean and welcoming.
- 1/5
Staff was very rude upon arrival and leaving. I had to cut my stay a day short because of personal issues and asked the front desk would it be possible to pay only for the one night stay. The front desk said “we only do two night stays” and I responded by saying “I’m having unexpected issues and have to leave early”. He responded by saying “that’s what they all say”. I took it as it was said “thankyou”.
- 4/5
Overall the place was good, front desk was very nice. The place was cozy, the room we stayed in had a special key to lock the door from the inside due to a prior visitor that had broke it. It’s a glass sliding door. The key they provided us with unfortunately did not lock it from the inside, we couldn’t get it to lock. So we ended up sleeping with the door unlocked. Room service didn’t make it back to our room I had to go up front for towels and the iron. I would probably stay there again but diffidently in a different room.
- 5/5
My room was spacious and comfortable. Lots of available in-room amenities: coffee maker, fridge, iron & ironing board, tv, WiFi, microwave. The shower worked well and the towels were plush. The bed was very comfortable. I sat out on my deck every morning and had coffee to the pleasant sounds of the mountains and forest. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a very nice stay.
- 5/5
Great place to stay if you need more than 2 beds in the room.
- 5/5
Marvelous and cozy! Rustic charm! Great owners!
- 3/5
The bath tub was very dirty. Carpet needed to be vacuumed
- 5/5
We love staying here! It’s our 3rd time and cabin 112 is a new favorite! Clean and had everything we needed.
- 5/5
Have stayed here several times and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were snowed in as we slep and the next morning worried about how to get out the steep driveway in and out of the property. The people in front made the mistake of stopping near the top and got stuck. The manager (owner?) and son rushed to their aid and worked in the snow to get them out. They instructed me (no chains) on how to do it and it worked like a charm and out we went. The room was comfortable including the beds except for the metal skirt around the bed which made noise when you moved too much. The indoor pool and spa are nice and kept up. Nice relaxing stay.

Nice
- 5/5
Location was great. staff was super helpful and friendly and there are plenty of restaurants that you can walk to.
- 5/5
This is a wonderful place overall. The staff was really friendly.
- 5/5
Amazing place! Awesome staff! Clean friendly great location!
- 5/5
The staff?(maybe owner) is kind and knows what I want.
- 5/5
Super cozy little room. Had a good stay.
- 4/5
Our stay was nice and quiet. The staff were friendly and provided good service. Check in and check out were quick and easy.
- 4/5
Great environment, but cleanliness within the room was lacking.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet and comfy.
- 4/5
Beautiful place , i stayed at room 111 and had a nice stay while i was there.
- 5/5
Clean, romantic place. Felt like a cute little apartment
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at Giant oaks lodge. Our room was small but it was comfortable, clean, and close to restaurants. We will definitely consider coming back. The lodge has indoor heating pool, which is something we want to try in the next visit.
- 4/5
a relaxing stay, the cabin is clean, easy parking, close to store. i like the naturesque vibe in the mountain. the desk guy is nice but looks so serious. worth coming back.
- 3/5
I came with my 3 children hoping to enjoy our first Ne Year away from home. Check in was super fast and easy, however they have very limited parking. I would suggest they have assigned parking spots since it is a super small lot. I stayed in room 106 which says there are two king size beds and there is just one with bunk beds. Walking up to our room, we realized the room was already unlocked and open which was a little unsettling walking into. The room was not cleaned well. Floors were not swepped, there was some type of residue smeared on one of their chairs, and a (clean) strip of toilet paper was left on the bathroom counter.
- 5/5
We loved staying at the lodge. The room was big and very comfortable and cozy. Well furnished with a nice tv, fridge and microwave. Bathroom was roomy and well stocked - nice towels! We received a very warm welcome upon arrival and excellent treatment during our stay. Would definitely return.
- 4/5
We loved it, very clean and quiet I recommend it
- 5/5
Great little place. This place has a little coffee maker/fridge/microwave, skylight, usable wifi, and a wonderful wood decor. I liked the attention to details such as forks, plates for us to use, along with paper towels. Will stay again with the fam if we are in the area
- 4/5
It's cute and quaint. Very cozy, perfect for a family
- 2/5
The room was so dirty it looked like it hadn't been swept, vacuumed or dusted in at least a month.
- 5/5
GREAT
- 5/5
Really, really good place. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 3/5
The room wasn’t completely clean when we checked in, we had to borrow a vacuum to clean up debris left from prior guests. The staff lives on premesis but nobody actually staffs the front desk. You have to ring a doorbell & bother them anytime you need something. Since the pool is under lock & key anytime you want to use it you must sign up & ring the doorbell & get the key & the staff just doesn’t seem to want to be bothered. Nobody was rude, but for what seems like a small family run business they don’t seem very happy to be there. The place would be so much better if they would just allow everyone to use the pool without the hassle. Oh and they leave their dogs in a fenced area outside all day & anytime someone walks by the bark like crazy. So forget trying to take an afternoon nap between activities.
- 5/5
Check-in hassle free.
- 3/5
Room was dirty. Shelf with coffee pot had dust thick enough to write your initials. Outdoor furniture was too dirty to use. Floor in bath and sink area was dirty, Towel used to wipe it came up black. Bedside lamp was broken, socket hanging off base. Owners little dog yapped constantly day and night. One and done, never to return.....
- 1/5
I alerted the office my first morning and asked that they clean the room while I was out for some meetings before 11am. When I got back, nothing had been done and the gentleman at the front desk just said that he had alerted his cleaning crew. I had to work from the room for the rest of the day, so I told him it was too late. The cleaning lady did come by and was very apologetic and very kind, but the gentleman at the front didn't seem to care at all. I hope that this was just an oversight and the room accidentally got skipped for any cleaning beyond fresh towels and sheets, but still, I will not stay here again.
- 4/5
Excellent value for money. Convenient location for Snow Valley. Bit of a drive for Snow Summit/ Big Bear, especially if a snow storm hits.
- 3/5
The inside of the hotel room was adorable but was cold. The fireplace was an electric heater but did not generate enough heat to warm up the small room. Bring your heaters. There was not enough parking in the parking lot. Add more parking and another heat source and our stay would have been pleasant.
- 5/5
Thank you Bryson for taking care of us and accommodating our oversize parking needs.
- 5/5
Great amenities, close to everything in the city, fast convenient check in.
- 5/5
We had a great long weekend here. The kids had fun with our hour of the pool each day (each room can book an hour to use it). Not all the walks were scooped initially, but more were cleared each day. Parking lot is a bit tight. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The heat was via the fireplace (controlled by the thermostat). So the bathroom stays chilly (especially if you close the door). It was nice to have three beds (we had a king and a full/twin bunk beds). Just a note, the bottom bunk is tight. My kids couldn't sit up without hitting their heads. It was too claustrophic for all but one of us to sleep there. There are mirrors covering the top half of two of the walls. The mini-fridge had dedicated freezer (and ice trays) which was handy. Huge TV with good channel selection and a DVD player. Warm bedding and nice pillows. Thick bath towels. And a full size garbage can. And floor towels were provided for keeping the wet snow from boots making dirty puddles.
- 4/5
But it is comfortable. Amenities provided: good size fridge, microwave, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion. If you want to use the pool, you need to sign up in the morning. We didn’t get to use it. Oddly, they only allow one room at a time at the pool. It was supposed to be for the pandemic, but for some reason, that still is the policy.
- 5/5
This is one of my favorite places in Running Springs! If you want to ski Snow Valley, it's perfect! Technically it's not a 5 star with room service, spa facilities, club house. it's 5 star in experience! They do have a pool and jacuzzi. That is a little basic, but again, it's the experience. Very cute touches like mood lights under our TV, fridge & micro in a compact area, and closet that is well equipped.

The fixed shower head is not the best with small kids.
- 5/5
Not only was the room organized in such a way as to maximize every inch, but there was thought given to every inclusion, from the right amount of cups, coffee, ice, paper towels, and information about the area. The staff was VERY kind, and the amenities (the indoor pool and hot tub) were absolutely perfect. Thanks so much, we WILL be back!
- 5/5
Wow is what comes to mouth first when I want to share about my stay here... this spot is a gem!!! I love the rustic log-cabin-like feel to my large and accommodating room. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom large and clean and the fireplace as well as tiny kitchenette made this room the most magical lovely solo getaway for me preparing for an intensive professional retreat, including using it as a workspace with all of the varied comfortable seating options. Highly recommend this place and would love to return!
- 5/5
The place, the pool, the cleanliness
- 4/5
Great clean cabins/room. Friendly service.
- 5/5
this was a weekend stay.. staff was friendly and we were surprised how cute and clean the room was.. we were so happy to find ice in the mini fridge (since we bought room temperature sodas).. only thing was there was no iron or steamer.. but hair dryer was awesome!! Highly recommend.. we were happy campers here
- 4/5
lobby 's small portable home ice makers. Also shower water is so strong I had to put a washcloth around head so it wouldn't peel off my skin. TV should be mounted on wall across from beds for better viewing.
- 5/5
The 3 bed spa lodge room was large, had a balcony and all the amenities to make it feel like a nice living room. The large TV had an incredible amount of satellite stations. The large fake log fireplace was controlled by the room thermostat and provided a cozy atmosphere. We found a microwave oven, a refrigerator, a coffee maker and even paper cups, plates and plastic cutlery! A few small glitches such as a faulty toilet shutoff valve and the fact that the hot shower valve was installed in reverse were in our opinion no big deal. The room and bathroom were clean and the whole 2 night experience exceeded our expectations.
- 5/5
Everything was great. The owners are very attentive to any needs. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Loved it here - cabins were well kept and very cute - staff was great - would highly recommend for a stay out of the way
- 5/5
Quiet and convenient, friendly staff.
- 5/5
The room was small but clean. It was nice for a rustic mountain lodge to stay for skiing
- 5/5
Staff was nice. I’ll definitely go back.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly, the units have all been updated and are cute. They built in seating bars, microwaves and mini fridges which was nice. The pool & hot tub were indoors, heated and only one family at a time which was very nice. Both families that rented had room heating issues which made the stay a little uncomfortable. The wall heater in my room simply would not go on, and my friends heater was a fireplace which was not very easy to figure out. It takes a very long time to warm the room, but eventually in the late evening it warmed for them. My room however was very very cold. Parking was great and the hotel is very conveniently located next door to a great equipment rental store for skiing, and down the street from a wonderful breakfast spot. Overall it was good with only the heating issue.
- 5/5
Very nice accommodation. Looking forward to visit again!
- 5/5
Room looks recently renovated. Lots of amenities and shelves to put stuff. Mini fridge coffee a nice big bathroom. Looks better than the photos, too. Staff has been attentive and friendly so far.
- 2/5
The room was freezing and I have a baby. My family was freezing we were all wearing coats and stuff inside just to stay warm. Only a couple hours later, did they tell us to change to a room with a heater. Then it was much better. But we were not able to enjoy our evening because we were freezing an they weren't doing anything about it. At least we were able to sleep comfortably because we were finally given a room with a heater.
- 5/5
Great place, near skiing, restaurant as well.
- 3/5
Pros: Staffs are friendly, check in is easy. There’s a restaurant and gas station right next to lodge. There’s kitchen inside cabin, a must have when travel with kids, but no dishwasher. Love the fireplace gas heater. Kids love the indoor pool and spa. Bed are comfortable. 3 TVs. Full size fridge, microwave, toaster, stove, coffeemaker, pots and pans. Cons: there’s only 1 bathroom for 7 people, and shower and toilet are together, that means when someone is taking care of business the others cannot use shower. And when there’s 7 people, the waiting can frustrating. And it takes a while for water get hot again for next shower. And I don’t like shower head. the water pressure is so high that it is actually painful when water hit body. There’s no dishwasher. I noticed the mugs and cups are very dirty, have to wash them manually. Finally I got tired of washing, just used disposable cups instead. There is mini market , pizza restaurant and Mexico restaurant across the road. But you can’t get there by foot. It is a busy road, not safe to cross. So we took the car just to cross highway, kind of annoying.
- 5/5
The room was nice and worked well for my one night stay.
- 5/5
I like the sap tub and the fireplace.
- 1/5
The room was smoke-saturated. It was supposed to be a non-smoking room. It was the only room remaining and i did not take it, bc i have allergies to cig smoke. My 7 year old son and i had to drive down the mountain in the blowing snow at 10:30pm and go home early. VERY disappointing....
- 2/5
We couldn't sleep at night when the heater turn on and off like a pinball machine. Its winter btw!
- 3/5
Rather than that, it was ok. Considering been at the mountain during Fall, the heater needed to be working.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 5/5
Super cute and charming place. Friendly early check in. Will definitely return when back in town.
- 5/5
Very nice room, its a diamond in the rough
- 5/5
It really is a perfect spot to stay in the mountains. The room was nice and cozy, and it is close to the town, so you always have something to do. The staff was super friendly.
- 1/5
nothing
- 5/5
koi in adjacent pond. Quiet environment. Room walls soundproof ! My room was updated nicely. Plenty of towels. Good beds. Cons: Spa needs re-surfacing. Week earlier, our room was Not updated and was dark and dingy. So ask for updated room! Trees are pretty, but drop sap - suggest parking in open area.
- 5/5
Clean, Fresh, close to Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear
- 5/5
Clean and taken care of. Staff was extremely friendly.
- 5/5
Beautiful setting, nice cabin feel, very comfortable. Would definitely consider staying here again. We were very lucky to have found this place.
- 5/5
Great bed and outdoor sitting area.
- 5/5
It's so home-y and cozy! I love the rooms, they're super cute, clean, ours had a fireplace and a bunk bed which was fun. The pool and hot tub are fantastic as well. Love this little hidden gem!
- 5/5
Very few options to stay in the area outside of an Airbnb and most travelers will get all that you would need at the property. Let me add...clean! I can't overstate that!
- 5/5
Stayed here on Memorial day weekend in Room 106
- 5/5
Great place. Home and wonderful atmosphere
- 4/5
There was never anyone at the front desk, constantly having to track someone down when needing something. Also no communication between staff, one says we can check out late then 5 mins later a different person calls and tells us we need to pay for another night if we want to stay longer.
- 3/5
The room was very comfortable and as large as a small apartment with all the necessary amenities. However, there is no sound proofing between the units. At 2:30 AM, a family checked out of their room. It took over 45 minutes and during that time the children screamed, the parents yelled at one another, and everybody continuously slammed doors. There was no lodge representative to tamp down such behavior. Needless to say, the rudeness of the family coupled with the lack of any control by lodge employees made what should have been a quiet night in the mountains, a bad night altogether.
- 5/5
Excellent property and very convenient to Other activities. Front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. Property is clean and has a fantastic old time charm.
- 5/5
The room/bed was comfortable, we liked the cabin and the layout, much better than where we stayed last year. Something to watch out for... We had a little trouble finding the motel at night as the signage has "Giant Oaks" written very small and "Running Springs" much larger. So we drove past twice thinking it was a different motel called "Running Springs Motel". Loved the pool and hot tub on property so great to have that for the kiddo.

- 5/5
Our second time here. We enjoyed it very much. Stayed in 114 again. It’s nice to have the living room to relax by the fire, a kitchen to make breakfast, and a separate room for my the kids that has a bunk w/ a full bed on the bottom and best of all the extra room has a neat loft with a ladder that leads to another full bed. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool while it was 20 degrees outside.
- 5/5
The cabin was totally upgraded and clean. Parking right outside our door, cute compound of little cabins. Nice man at check-in. We didn't use the pool, but noticed ping pong tables as we left.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean and convenient, would definitely come back! My family loved our little lodge and look forward to the next time.
- 4/5
Again, overall a very nice room but the bed makes me have second thoughts about staying again.
- 5/5
Super clean! Convenient location! 5 miles away from snow valley and ski rentals next door. Definitely come back for next Ski trip!
- 5/5
Comfortable, comfortable, comfortable. Perfect getaway place for peace and quiet.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay here at Jan, 2022. I definitely recommand this place.
- 5/5
This is my 2nd time booking this place & would do it again,,feels so cozy .
- 5/5
Lovely place to stay with perfect room configuration (#11 is our favorite) which was cozy and quiet and made for the most perfect getaway weekend.
- 1/5
We never got to stay the night. The area lost power that day. Despite not having any light or heat; the owner refused to refund any part of our stay or offer a credit. I was traveling alone with my two young children who’s safety I could not risk by staying. Callous and rude and unwilling to work with us.
- 4/5
It was a very nice rustic mountain spot.
- 5/5
Nice and clean
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 4/5
The room was very clean but very small. We were 4 people total and had almost no room besides the beds. They have bigger rooms but I’m not sure how they make their decisions when make these assignments. Everything else was fine besides having no room to move.
- 5/5
great place & great service!!! we loved staying here, thank you.
