WoodSpring Suites Round Rock-Austin North

This was my husband's and mine first stay with Wood Spring Suites. The staff was very helpful and answered all of our questions. The room was clean and very basic. There was a regular size fridge and a two range stove top, and a laundry basket. The towels were minimal with two bath towels and a wash cloth and floor mat, but no hand towels. We asked for extra towels, but were told we had to return our current ones, which did not help give us any extra towels. There was no hair dryer in the room and apparently none to be given out when requested. The washer and dryers worked with a few out for commission. The property allowed pets which brought forth all sorts of interesting smells going down the hallways. This is an extended stay facility, so do not expect the same service as a motel.

After checking in I go to my room, it smelled like old food. Used the bathroom, toilet wouldn’t flush. Laid down, AC unit sounded like rocks in a blender. Got up this morning used the bathroom, took the lid off the commode so I could manually flush. Get in the shower, the floor is literally cracked and broken in the tub, almost busted my a..

Under construction, have the work crews clean up wjen they are done for the day. Dont leave glue on the floors where guests have to walk.

Nice quiet place slept pretty well

This hotel is bare bones. Room was clean. However, no amenities. No breakfast. No ice onsite. Only allowed two towels in your room at a time. Bed was a metal frame that creaked every time you moved. No blackout curtains. A/C unit was extremely noisy. Pillows were super flat. It will do in a pinch, but I'll never stay here again.

This hotel is nasty. Stains on the ceiling, floor, towels, and wall. I immediately started calling other rooms but everyone was booked due to all the activities going on. I would never stay here again.

- cheap - Clean for the most part - Adjustable A/C - stores such as QT, Waffle House, and Dutch Bros within walking distance Cons: - Room service only happens once while staying there - Our fridge didn’t work Overall I would definitely stay again.

The front desk lady was amazing. She was so helpful even under the stressful situation. The manager on the other hand was horrible. He was sending messages through her, but never speaking with customers himself nor was he at the location and he was the one randomly canceling rooms. There were only 2 big and 2 small towels in room that sleeps 4. We had to buy our own towels. It stated they had the option for us to purchase pots and pans but that was not true. In order to use the stove, we had to buy from store as well. The room smelled stale, shower head had a crack in it and water sprayed everywhere. Overall the worst experience I've EVER had with a hotel.

The room was in bad condition when we got there, they had left the window open so when we got there the windowsill and floor were wet. The entire building has a horrible smell. Abigail i think is her name, who works night shift front desk, is probably the rudest, most unprofessional, and vile person we met during our 4 days in TX. Southern hospitality does not exist at this location. Not to mention for some reason the toilet wasnt flushing, so we thought it was clogged, asked her for a plunger and she said "someone must have it because it's not here", so I asked if they only had 1 plunger in the whole building and she hung up on me (calling in from my cell because the room phone wasnt working). Never ever again.

It really is an amazing stay! I did a staycation so it was good to just decompress

We were in town from Houston visiting for my sisters surprise 60th birthday party My husband went to the front office to ask for at least the hair dryer and they said they did not have any. Sadly and quite furious I had to leave for the surprise birthday party with wet hair in 34 degree weather and naturally freezing. When we returned back to the hotel there no one in the front desk it was completely closed and the floors were completely dirty with dry mud all in the front entry

The room was absolutely filthy. Dry food in the sink, grime in the toilet, no shower curtain. There were no bed sheets, no pillow cases. Dirt all over the floor. Smelled like a 12 pack of cigarettes. Window was wide open when I walked in. Genuinely the grossest hotel I have ever seen.

Waited 15 mins in the Lobby to get checked in. Bed coverings had stains and the bathroom towels had brown spots and stain. The other guest were noisy throughout the night. I believe the young lady at the front seat was asleep or preoccupied and that’s why our wait to check in took the time it did.

Very efficient room. The full sized fridge was nice. The pillows were not good and the towels were few in number. But this is a good no-frills option.

there was nothing i really liked. the tub was slippery and my daughter nearly hit the toilet getting out of the shower due to slipping, i nearly slipped getting out of the shower. towels were dirty, beds were super firm and very uncomfortable. our room was near a light on the building and there are no curtains just blinds and room was not dark enough to sleep. front desk closed at 10 so i had to make sure i had my key also front desk did not open until 9am. so i had to make sure i was fully checked out by going back to the hotel after i left.

Part of my disappointment is my own fault because I did not research the hotel before I booked the room. However, this hotel provides little to nothing as far as amenities or basic things you’d expext. I found one bar of soap but nothing else. I could have at least used a blow dryer. There was downstairs in the lobby, but nobody told me so I went without!

The facility said that it was smoke free our whole floors smelt like a cigarette bomb lit off. Causing my husband to wake up in profusely puke for about three hours. Had to re-book for a new hotel that morning.

I liked the kitchen and laundry room. I had roaches come out while I was cooking! I understand roaches can breed fast so I'm not judging.Just hope they get bait for them .The bathroom light was motion censored so it kept going out while in the bathtub.

Good location to where I was going (kalahari resort) Parking was good. Food nearby was good (though I did not eat there as I am low carb.. Waffle House is very NOT low carb. Hoped for 1st floor but was not available There was a police interaction with one of the guests, this is NOT a problem of the hotel but at this price range it is more likely especially at a long stay hotel.

Upon entering it appears to be a pleasant place to stay. The scent is inviting until you get past the front desk through the door leading to guest rooms. The halls are filled with every scent imaginable( marijuana, pets, body odor, various food odors etc.) Even after housekeeping has done what they call cleaning it’s still never quite a pleasant scent left behind. Not sure what cleaning products they use. But it definitely misses the mark. If planning to stay for an extended period I would bring your own sheets, pillows, towels etc. The towels & sheets provided are dingy. Rats have been spotted outside property on the ground & crawling down the blg. on several occasions. I just did everything I could do to make it my own… provided my own niceties ( towel, sheets, pillows, fragrance plug ins, shower gel, etc.) to make it feel like as much like home as I could as it was the most reasonably priced for the long length of time I needed. On the upside, room was spacious, loved the kitchenette ( provided my own pots & pans) & laundry room is a nice size with newer washers & dryers. I washed mainly in the morning when the washers had just been cleaned by housekeeping as a lot of the guests are construction workers with extremely dirty laundry. Price is the most reasonable in the area if you can get past the other obstacles.

Immediately upon exiting the elevator we smelled a musty, mildew smelled. When we entered our room, it smelled of fresh paint. Later we realized they had apparently tried to paint over mold in the bathroom. It still seeped through though and was visible. The woman at the front desk was very nice about the situation but she could only do so much. We are still waiting on the refund from the 2nd night of our stay.

Easy access to surrounding areas and an HEB down the street for groceries. It’s pet friendly and was my main reason for the stay. Maybe I missed the pet fee during reservation but I didn’t see it listed and I was charged extra upon check in that I wasn’t expecting. The hotel had a pet smell but that’s to be expected. There is a dedicated pet area outside with poop bags and a trash can. Rooms are on the smaller side (I had a one queen bed room) but include a kitchenette with a full size fridge and microwave. No kitchenware at all to cook with though. Not even a fork or spoon or dish towel. AC worked great! Wardrobe/closet area was fairly small and in the open but is functional. Walls are kinda thin. I could hear alarms and tv’s on and the people above us walking around. If you’re not a hard sleeper you may want an end room or upstairs room. Towels are thin and I had to request a new set since they didn’t come around and clean the room the next day. Hard to reuse if they’re still wet from the day before. It was a two night stay so I’m not sure if they only clean every couple of days. Coffee was available in the lobby but not in the rooms. Also, no toiletries except one small bar to wash hands with. The front desk people that helped me on two different occasions were nice.

Maybe I missed the pet fee during reservation but I didn’t see it listed and I was charged extra upon check in that I wasn’t expecting. The hotel had a pet smell but that’s to be expected. There is a dedicated pet area outside with poop bags and a trash can. Rooms are on the smaller side (I had a one queen bed room) but include a kitchenette with a full size fridge and microwave. No kitchenware at all to cook with though. Not even a fork or spoon or dish towel. AC worked great! Wardrobe/closet area was fairly small and in the open but is functional. Walls are kinda thin. I could hear alarms and tv’s on and the people above us walking around. If you’re not a hard sleeper you may want an end room or upstairs room. Towels are thin and I had to request a new set since they didn’t come around and clean the room the next day. Hard to reuse if they’re still wet from the day before. It was a two night stay so I’m not sure if they only clean every couple of days. Coffee was available in the lobby but not in the rooms. Also, no toiletries except one small bar to wash hands with. The front desk people that helped me on two different occasions were nice.

Every time I left the room or used the elevator there was a different smell present. It was very disconcerting. Furthermore the late night check in process was asinine, and could be streamlined.

I had to check out 5 days early because my mother had passed away. I called a few days later to talk to the manger to give me a refund and he told me to call Expedia. He was incredibly short with me and was clearly not wanting to help me but I understood because I booked through a third party. Expedia called him and asked for the refund and he refused. He clearly was never going to give me my money back for the 5 days I DID NOT stay there. The only saving grace was that the front counter girl was professional and nice. This is and extended stay but if it’s a non-refundable stay they should tell people that before they book!

Upon arrival, I was greeted with an empty reception area. Not a soul in sight. I thought, perhaps, the staff were attending to other matters and would return shortly. But minutes turned into a half-hour, and still, no one showed up. Frustrated, I decided to try calling the number provided for after-hours contact. What a joke. I dialed and waited. And waited. And waited some more. Forty excruciating minutes passed, and not a single person bothered to pick up the phone. It was as if this place had been abandoned altogether. Left with no other option, I had to scramble to find alternate accommodations at 11 PM in the dead of night. Let me tell you, finding a decent motel at such an hour is no easy feat, and it's an experience I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. To call this level of service unacceptable would be a gross understatement. It's downright disgraceful. The utter lack of professionalism and basic courtesy displayed by the staff is appalling, to say the least. Save yourself the headache and the hassle. Stay far, far away from this motel. Trust me, you'll thank yourself later.

Stop nickel and dimming people. Charging for plates bowls pots pans silver ware and 3 dollars a day for towels is ridiculous. And I would do something about the weed smell around the hotel and the fact that the beds are not secure and move when you lay down or toss or turn and hear the neighbors bed banging when they move!

The water wasn't as hot as i would like it and the room fee changed when i got to the hotel from 53 on the website to 64.

The night shift check in bald black guy is very rude and not helpful at all. I was going to stay for a week and just his attitude and the way he speaks down to people made me leave and go to another hotel 20 miles up the road.

The property was serviceable and met our needs. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The smoke alarm in my room went off twice in the middle of the night.

Bed was very itchy unfortunately did not sleep well at all. Was a really big weekend in Austin, so this place also wasn’t cheap. Not worth it all and would never stay here again

First off they charged the incorrect card even though I sent in a credit card authorization form. They didn't clean the room for 2 week stay and never got clean towels either. When I went down to ask about the explained they don't clean the room until you leave. People were just leaving trash bags outside there door.

We’ve never been in an extended stay that had NO amenities such as dishes, pots and pans. They want to sell them to you. $30 for single service ($60 for 2 boxes for 2 of us), $40 for box of pans! We were there for a week and had to go buy everything. No hand towels, they charge you for getting clean towels everyday. Floors were dirty in room; feet/socks black. When I checked in and expressed the disappointment at no dishes, desk clerk says “we do things different down here.”

I wish they provided shampoo and conditioners in the showers. However, other than that it was great! Clean and neat, safe and quiet!

The general manager "Sam" makes guest feel welcomed and sees their needs are met. Property is well maintained and kept very clean. Thanks to Sam and staff for another pleasant stay in Austin.

Could hear stomping and noises above our room. Room was clean enough but other areas of the hotel were not. No hand towel.

Decent clean hotel - no frills. Bed wasn’t super comfortable because t by no means bad. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and guest were a good group for the price range - nothing seedy at all. I’d call it a Junior Holiday Inn Express with a fridge.

The front desk attendant was rude and acted like I was inconveniencing him because he had to stop watch tv to check me in. The bed was hard and wobbly. My blinds were broken.

I loved this hotel for the kitchenette. It was perfect for my needs. I could easily hear people talking isn’t he hallways and loud stomping from the floor above. Other than that it was great and I will definitely use again.

Easy to get to hotel and quiet stay. Only stayed for one night and it had all that I needed to get a good rest.

Great property. Clean and nice interiors. Good staff. Lot of parking. Walkable QT mart. Easy laundry.

There was a horrible smell in the hallway. The carpet was filthy. I had to go your and buy cleaning supplies. The floor in my room was sticky. I purchased blankets, towels and pillow’s because I didn’t trust the linens. No bathroom amenities like soap or shampoo. Wouldn’t be there 3/4 of the time so I made it work.

I personally prefer the lack of interruptions by housekeeping. Appreciated lobby coffee with decent decaf. Slightly disappointed no business channels on TV but not a big deal.
