Reviews
Guests have mixed feelings about their stay at this hotel. While many appreciate the cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff, others express disappointment with the parking charges, noise levels, and lack of breakfast options.
- Clean and comfortable rooms
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Parking charges are inappropriate and misleading
- Noise levels from other guests and housekeeping are disruptive

No complementary breakfast bar! Our Starbucks breakfast for came to $250. Really disappointed in no amenities- if you wanted to use a pool - had to go next door to the Fairfield Inn! Plus - hotel was so hard to find - and - entrances and exits - had the go only 1 way (right turn) go for blocks to turn around... poorly planned!

It was located perfectly for us since the surgery center my husband had to go to was just about 3 minutes away from your hotel. There was nothing that we didn’t like.

They do add charge an additional $12.00 per night for parking.

Our room was very quiet...that's all I ever want, a quiet room with a comfortable bed. I got both of those at this property.
- 4/5
We were only staying overnight but were able to appreciate the cleanliness of the hotel and the room, how central it was, and how friendly the staff was. They do charge for parking (which surprised me), but it was not a lot ($12.00).
- 5/5
Only thing is when I booked, it said breakfast included but there was no breakfast. Overall very nice stayed.

Super clean and recently renovated property. Close 5-10 min drive to The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino if you are planning to see a show. Plenty of parking and close proximity to restaurants and shopping centers.

The staff was very kind and the room very clean. My one complaint would be the toilet was very small and low which is not great especially for older people like myself.
- 5/5
We had a short and nice stay. We were in town for the Basketball tournament. The property was neat and clean. Since we had to leave early in the morning for the game, Starbucks downstairs was an easy to go option. Their service was good but I felt that they should have more employees at that time. There were just two girls and they were trying their best starting from taking orders, making drinks, prepping to go food items and handling items to everyone. It took us 20 min to place an order. But, overall great stay.
- 5/5
Clean room, polite staff. The breakfast bar was a little slow, but okay.
- 1/5
There was a huge centipede that fell out of our bath towels. I told the desk and even had a picture of it. They really didn’t even care. When something that big falls out of my clean towels I definitely am worried about it.

The staff was great, but there’s a couple things that bothered me. The $12 a night for parking, that needs to be included in the price when booking. It’s ridiculous to charge for parking for a paying customer, especially 12 dollars a night, that’s wild. Also, there was red tape up at the entrance which made getting in and out difficult with luggage. It seems like an older building, but it was still a nice stay. I would recommend the one at the galleria, it was more modern and cleaner. This one would be great if it was significantly cheaper than the aforementioned one.

The only issue was there was a dog staying in a room near us and it barked constantly. And the smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night. We had a volleyball tourmament and needed to get a good nights sleep and we were continually woken up.

No breakfast included, would have had to pay for parking if there wasn't construction going on.

Additionally, both my husband’s and my room keys stopped working, so I spoke with Brittany. She promptly provided us with an alternative room away from the construction and issued new keys that worked properly. Brittany was extremely helpful and kind, and she significantly improved our stay at the hotel.

Will be a good facility eventually. If I had known the entrance was under renovation, I would have reserved a different location. BTW it was raining, and we had to walk our luggage in the rain. Otherwise, nice staff, clean rooms. small bathroom (what happened here?). Overall okay.

They gave me a quiet room away from the construction. There is construction going on and pictures were not showing that. I wouldn't have booked this place if I had known about the construction.

Breakfast menu was limited microwave food and expensive! Housecleaning didn’t refresh room. Construction of entrance. Property should be required to inform guests of construction. Old hotel, could use some updates.

Check in was fine, the gal was very nice. Wasn’t aware there was construction going on. Breakfast should be free as well as coffee. Coffee maker had a part missing so couldn’t make coffee in my room. Hotel wi-fi password didn’t work, would probably not stay again.

normally we have no issue staying at this hotel but last time we went there was blood on our sheet which is gross, we asked for a comforter and she brought up a fitted sheet instead which doesn’t help, we were cold the whole entire night.
- 3/5
We don’t eat breakfast so no problem there, but all they have is a “bistro”in the morning for a fee. Coffee, the room has one regular and 1 decaf. You are SOL if you want another until 6:30am where you need to buy it. Parking, $12 a night??? I don’t remember that mentioned when I made the reservation. We didn’t have to pay that fee because of ongoing renovations. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
- 2/5
Not happy about that Property under loud construction that lasted until 5:34 pm
- 1/5
I didn't stay at this Property because when the reservation was made the pet disclosure was not told but upon arrival they were under construction and the pet fee was more expensive than the price of the room and I was not going to pay that ridiculous amount for 1 night.

Courteous staff, clean room and comfortable bed. Though the front of the hotel is currently under construction, the back patio area was wooded and pretty.

My room was clean. The staff was incredible! They always greeted me with a smile when entering the hotel. I had left an item in my room and realized it once I was at the airport. The hotel staff found my item and held onto it until I made arrangements to get it home.

Great stay, clean homes. The only down side is tiny fridge and no microwave. It is hard because we are traveling with young kids. Just seem like every decent hotel room these days have these amenities, surprised when they are not available.
- 5/5
Great hotel! Close parking. Safe neighborhood. Nice grill and bar. Super comfy bed.
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly and very helpful!!
- 3/5
My experience was when I arrived late at night, after a plane delay, there was no parking anywhere And then the toilet broke.. Breakfast was good but very expensive. The location was good-centrally located to a lot of activity with freeway access, shopping, etc. Overall, it’s just an average experience for a place to sleep. Not truly outstanding nor truly bad just an average place to stay. That’s my personal experience and thoughts about this particular location. I will say there are other Marriott properties that exude beauty and excellence-this one not so much.
- 3/5
It is a nice property. Staff is courteous. We had two pillows that smelled of not so nice body or hair oder so it questions the detail to cleaning. Fortunately there was a clean extra pillow in the closet.
- 5/5
Traveling with my sister who is currently going through chemo. She does not have an immune system, sanitizing and cleanliness is important. She put on her gloves and wiped down every single surface including the bathroom with her Lysol wipes. We were impressed, not a trace of dirt or dust. Food selection in the dining room was great. Yes, she was given sani wipes so we wipe down the table and chairs to enjoy the food and margaritas. Later to sleep in the comfortable beds made the stay most enjoyable. The front desk and dining staff all very friendly.
- 5/5

No swimming pool and no breakfast and also charge for parking lot what kind of what kind of motels are they charging for a parking lot Motel 6 better trade you better than this
- 3/5
I reserved a handicapped accessible room. They put me on the 3rd floor down a hall way. It was extremely inconvenient for someone with mobility issues and a service dog. The shower was a tub/ shower with a rail and not easily accessible for handicapped as it should have been a roll in shower and on the 1st floor. They advertised an available breakfast but failed to mention, for purchase only.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Awesome stay will always go back.

I was advised of the pet fee and was charged more and was not refunded a night due to having to leave a night early for an emergency. Staff was not helpful.

- 1/5
2) Parking was horrible. a) You charge 10 dollars and there was no spaces available. 3) The fire alarm goes off in the morning and is so loud your head hurts. The front desk tells us to evacuate. The alarm is from the 3rd floor and we are on the first floor. Ridiculous. There should be a refund for waking us up in the morning for a false alarm system.
- 4/5
Great stay 2 night stay. Great location, near Sunsplash and Galleria. Clean room. Friendly staff. Only issue was the AC was loud when it kicked on at night. Luckily our little one slept through it. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything was great until our check out experience. The woman at the front desk was extremely disrespectful and off putting. I've degraded in my entire life.

Nice hotel and lovely area near the river. Too bad they didn’t provide free breakfast.
- 5/5
Location was great cause it was by so many good restaurants and activities for the kids to do. Downside is there was no microwave in the room.
- 2/5
This property is old . Didn’t feel or smell clean . Dark and dingy room . Very old furniture , very dark in room , just felt very off . The area felt unsafe . I would not stay there again at all and for the price could have stayed somewhere much nicer . I do not recommend

- 3/5
The rooms are great but the air condintioning shuts off automatically sometime in the evening so sleeping is very uncomfortably warm. Also, I could find anyway to close the second drapes to prevent morning sun coming in early.
- 1/5
Requested quiet room on the top floor and was told by Brittany that no rooms were available on the third floor for another 45 minutes so I left and waited in my vehicle until 3pm although I was feeling ill Checked in at 3pm then learned as I entered the room and it didn’t have a microwave so the hot food I had purchased that became cold while I had to wait 45 minutes could not be warmed up as it had turned cold I was too weak to return to the 1at floor to use a microwave I paid 176 for a room that advertised a microwave but had none To add additional discomfort, all night I kept hear doors slam until I checked out the room the next morning I really need a full refund asap!

My room was not ready upon arrival. Staff was not very accommodating
- 3/5
The hotel is decent to stay but at the price of 250/night it's too expensive. The conditioner was not replenished and the light in the bathroom didn't work properly.
- 3/5
Because I booked on Hotels.com, we were unable to receive complimentary breakfast and parking. I wish the website did not include this gals information when advertising.
- 1/5
I have stayed at least at 6 hotels in this area for past year and this is the worst stay we had. Book any hotel but not this one so you have peace, rest and up charges, parking charges and bad customer service.
- 3/5
Was disappointed in amenities. No microwave in the room only in the lobby. Many items in the room were not in good condition. First room was not very clean and smelled terrible. No working ice machine on the third floor. In general not what we are used to for a Marriott.
- 5/5
The front desk receptionist was super friendly and helpful. The room was really clean and the beds feel comfy
- 5/5
Sweet front desk girl Had bottle opener for me at front desk Hotel room detail simple and cute. Clean, nice dimmed lighting. Smart tv i was able to connect my phone to it. Great view from big wall window. Good smell and great amenities. You know it’s a simple hotel but everything about it was great. The price was great too for two beds for me and my little son. we’re so enjoyed it on New Year’s and so glad we chose this one. I live in Roseville in the city of a hotel we’re just going through transition of a housing and I needed a place. I’m happy I chose courtyard. Also beautiful Christmas tree in breakfast lobby area. Theu serve starbucks as well
- 3/5
I am used to staying at places that have the amenities that offer free breakfast, no chatge for parking. Have tea in your room. This place charges you for everything. I have seen a few hotels do this. Its sad that we are moving away from customer service in the way of hospitality. Unfortunately, this will not be recommended by me.
- 4/5
clean comfortable room. guest upstairs was noisy, stomping around past midnight
- 4/5
My only problem was that the beds are very hard & the bedding is squeaky?? And not soft.
- 5/5
Great service. Lady at bar was working the kitchen as well. She was solo back there.
- 4/5
This hotel is nice and the staff are very friendly and will accommodate special requests. Rooms were clean and the beds are very comfortable. Because it's located off the main street, it's very quiet and safe.
- 5/5
Friendly and professional staff!!!

The room was fine. Was charged for parking which I found cheezy. No water in room. No fresh coffee offered just hot water in the lobby.

My mother and I visited your hotel on Friday, November 8, 2024. We weren’t familiar with the area so we consulted the reviews. Besides, how could you go wrong with a Marriot? When we checked in the receptionist was very courteous. As I told her the following morning the beds were very comfortable, so we were very satisfied. The reason for the one star rating is as follows: When we returned in the evening, much to our surprise the room had not been touched. The bed wasn’t made, the trash wasn’t emptied and there were no fresh towels. When I went to the check in desk I was told that was their policy. No fresh sheets unless they were requested every other day. No mention of what their policy was regarding towels or trash. Also. the receptionist (different from our original one) was very rude, saying we were notified of this in our welcome packet. I showed it to her and of course there was no mention of this. The manager offered to send housekeeping to clean the room but it was so late by then that we were not interested. I have stayed in many hotels including several Marriots. Some hotels do inform you (usually with something written in the room) that the sheets will only be changed every other day unless you request a change each day. But the bed is still made up. Nothing is ever mentioned about no housekeeping at all! The rudeness we encountered regarding our complaint was unwarranted and we would never stay here again!

- 4/5
Very minor, personal issues: the little 'sofa' in the room is angled awkwardly and I was facing the ceiling if leaning back, couldn't watch tv that way so I had to sit up with no back support. Fiance wasn't bothered, he is tall and could see the tv fine leaning back. Parking lot could use extra lighting (at least two overhead lights weren't working) and I think the parking fee is quite high for a quiet area like this. Most hotels like this typically come with free breakfast - I knew ahead of time this one doesn't (later found out the one next door does). I also think for over $200 a night, perhaps real glasses and coffee mugs would be a nice touch. Door was knocked on before checkout time, but not hours before as I had read in some reviews. They don't have a pool but said we could use the one next door, not an issue but I didn't feel like walking across the parking lot in a swimsuit and chose to sleep a bit later instead. Other than that, the room was comfortable, slept well on the bed. It's quite firm but we like firm beds so it wasn't an issue for us. Loved the check out time (noon) which is a little later than many places. I wish I got the staff names for check in and check out, both ladies were very pleasant and both in / out process was smooth and quick.
- 5/5
The room was beautiful and very comfortable.
- 3/5
They charge for parking which was not disclosed on list by Expedia. Would’ve chosen a different hotel.
- 2/5
This is the 2nd time that they gave us a "handicapped" room, which we did not request or need. This room #229 was very dangerous and would not qualify as a handicapped room. The tub was slippery, no safe way to get into the tub. Should have been a free standing shower. The room was dirty, the bed was not made correctly and it smelled like mildew.
- 3/5
Clean, the bed and pillows are comfortable.
- 5/5
Hotel is close to other hotels, food places and sunsplash. About 10mins from top golf, about 20mins to thunder valley. Family friendly hotel. Will return again.
- 4/5
Quite and close to Galleria Mall
- 5/5
Everything was good, the door wouldn’t open when I scanned my key you had to shake the door and rescan in order to get it to open!! Other than that my stay was fine.
- 4/5
So ridiculous hotels charge parking at these places. We choose to stay at these particular places and get thrown a stupid parking fee on top of it.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect and very clean. The front deck staff was very nice and even gave us a recommendation for dinner. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
It is a pleasure staying at this hotel. The lady who checked us in at the front desk was very professional, friendly, and helpful. We arrived on Saturday, August 31, in the afternoon. She welcomed us with kind words and provided good information to get around. The hotel is clean, nice restaurants nearby within walking distance. The room is quiet and comfortable. Nice bed and clean sheets. Everything is working including the TV, air conditioner, refrigerator, etc.
- 4/5
Average hotel but nice staff
- 4/5
Everything was great with one exception. We were not aware of the parking fee of $12.00.
- 3/5
I don’t like surprises if you go to charge me to park put that in your prices the clerk asked me. Do you have a car? Give me a break
- 5/5
Great place to stay for a couple of nights while in town.
- 5/5
I would say the only thing th bothered me that was that I was unable to turn the air conditioner unit up or down or off so I finally just had to end up unplugging it because it was so cold and it was very stuffy in the morning when I woke up so I plugged it back in and it took a while for it to turn on.
- 4/5
Overall very nice, new facility. The only downside for me was no one turned over my room so I had to dump my own trash.
- 5/5
Great hotel clean and many conveniences.

Beds are THE BEST!!! Very clean, great staff. Perfect for a soccer tournament weekend.

I liked it all, my A/C didn't work, but I was told the system is old. The engineer came out and fixed it

I was taken a little aback by extra costs but our overall experience was very pleasant.

While I did not like the $12 per day parking fee- all other portions of the hotel were very clean and accessible. Lots of dining options and well maintained

- 4/5
Bar staff was not very hospitable. The gentleman from what I found out later shift was over, I would not have gone over to the bar had I not been told it was OK to ask him. It took him less than 30 seconds to walk around to the other side and hand it to me. Parking was terrible.
