Rosarito Beach Hotel

Very uncomfortable bed.

They ruined our New Year's Eve. We got shocked that the room is so outdated, the bedding so old and dirty, towel in the bathroom so filthy that we didn’t want to take shower.

The view is amazing but doesn’t make up for the really depressing threadbare room with chipping paint, dusty floors and tiny hard beds. I’m sure this was a great hotel in decades past but now it’s a sad reminder of the glory days.

I checked in, which was fine. I got to the room and found out they'd given me a ground-floor room, overlooking the jungle gym and children's playground. I booked the ocean view room in the Coronado building. When I went to the front desk, they advised me that the building was closed for renovations. They moved me to a second-floor room in the same building.

The service staff is poor. It took us nearly 45 mins to check-in, and we got room at the Pacifico tower, which is the new building and the views to the ocean is great. The room itself is average for the price. Had issues with the bath tub plumbing and they said they would dispatch someone.. no one came. Bring your own bath shower gels as what they provide a substandard soap and shampoo. The restaurant at the hotel is also average, step out and you have better options at the Papas and Beer and other restaurants

Did not get the high tower room as it was in maintenance… heating was not sufficient…

We stayed in the Pacific Tower, 1 Bedroom. Fantastic view of the Ocean. We had a few minor issues that were taken care of right away. The service was great here. The Restaurant serves amazing food & the bar next door has a 2 for 1 happy hour.

Nothing to rave about. Staff and restaurant waiter were very courteous! The hotel restaurant has freshly made tortillas.

Room is outdated, beds are extremely hard, time to replace mattresses, too much noise is heard, from the top room and the traffic in the hallway at night.

The room for sure has seen better days. Cold tile floors, old outdated furniture, very hard bed and uncomfortable pillows. the only positive of their standard room is the great view of the beach and the wharf. The service is outstanding in all areas. Great bartenders and front desk staff The rooms just need a lot of work.

The room needs updating, there was nothing there to make you feel that it was a resort, I guess the ocean view is supposed to make up for all it lacked, I was not impressed, there was a lot of history to it and that's why I was curious to go there but I won't be going back.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Our stay was in early November and unfortunately, the weather was cool during the day and cold and very foggy at night. These suite rooms did NOT have any heat, although the room AC fan was on constantly and could not be turned off. I am 5'8" and the toilets seating height were for much shorter people. Also, the toilet seat/cap would not stay up in either bathroom. Guest parking is a challenge. However, dining was very good. It's biggest plus is the location, by the beach and next to various shops and restaurants. The lack of heat in 60F weather is a primary reason for the 3 stars.

It was okay the restaurant was great and the staff was very accommodating and very nice. The bedroom was clean and housekeeper brought extra stuff to make bed softer but very old and the bathroom sink/mirror was tiny.

Everything was great, the only suggestion I have is getting bigger TVs for the rooms.

Convenient to everything we wanted to do check-in was a breeze, which was shocking as I’ve seen huge lines in the past. Room was good and we’ll certainly consider booking here once again in the future.

The pier is currently damaged so not entirely accessible. The rooms were not very clean, there was food left in our fridge and also a full trash can. For the amount being charged we expected a bit more care.

Guest bathroom had a very slow drain. Sink would fill up with water. Light in master bathroom did not work.

The beach view was very good ,romms are clean spacious the staff very friendly the rooms just need more coffee and more sugar.

This place was very old. The curtain rack felt down the shower water drain clogged, the beds blankets old n ugly one of the light lamps unplugged, the balcony door didn’t close very well and you can hear all the music coming from the beach and the customer service terrible only 2 people were very kind from the from desk Nathania and one of the bartender. We will never come back to this hotel

The beach view is amazing and the breakfast was pretty good as well

Old not updated hotel

The resort itself is beautiful. They have lots of amenities and things to do right outside the room. However, we stayed in Playas Tower and the room was very outdated. The futon couch was short and springy. The television was small and the bed was not very comfortable. It’s a nice stay if you don’t plan on staying in the room much.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The staff are extremely helpful and kind. Definitely recommend. Lots of shopping around and food within walking distance.

Clean room excellent view and very secure

The hotel is older, but you can’t beat the price for a room with an ocean front view. Even though the hotel is older, everything was still clean and my girl and I had a wonderful day.

Rooms were clean and very nice. A big issue here is that only two elevators work with one broken down. The elevator for parking lot is also broken down. We did not get any water bottles neither. The pools were nice but we had no waiter help us on the pacific tower side. We actually had to move to the other pool in order to get served. Place is nice but little details can be improved.

Very quiet, upscale at a resonable price. My hotel suite was like an apartment or condo at what you can pay for a small room at some hotels.

We’ll try the tower building maybe the beds are better there.

I’ve stayed at Rosarito Beach twice a year the last eight years and they never disappoint. It’s nice, it’s clean, beautiful beach views and great food.

The check-in process at Rosarito Beach Hotel was very slow, and the elevators were often extremely slow or out of service, which really affected the overall experience. The property itself feels outdated and in need of upgrades. Unfortunately, these issues made the stay far less enjoyable than expected.

Very nice hotel

Very disappointed when I booked the Internet showed one building and a newer room . They put us in a older building with a very old room very outdated.

Exelent beach view

On our first night, there was a power outage that we didn’t have AC 10pm-0345am. It was rough! I loved that there’s 2 different pools to chill at.

Didn't like they were out of electricity and water

No water on the beach area rooms 213 and no Ac on 209 tower for the whole day electric problems and still check in in all customers lie about it

Place is really getting old and many things don't work.

The place was ok somewhat outdated, i chosed this place because of the pictures on their website but its not what we got, that was the thing i disliked the most. Overall was it bad no would i want to stay there probably not but it was cheap since i went during the week

I fancy and I love this resort. We’ve been here second time in a few months and we stay in the tower on the 10th floor beautiful view great restaurant great food waiters everybody on properties very kind and helpful. We went for two days and stayed for four when we’ll be back

We liked the location and things to do there. We were very disappointed with the 2 jacuzzi being very dirty water and temperatures were Luke warm and Jets were very low pressure.

Not our first time staying but everything has improved. Our room seemed cleaner and newer. Ate in the restaurant two nights and food and service was excellent. Loved their 2 for 1 drinks in bar. Keep it up because we will return.

Rooms are a little outdated but we spent most of our time at the beach during the day and pool at night. Kids 6&9 had a great time. Will definitely be returning.

Great location. Older hotel that needs updating

Location was good and lots of shops around and places to eat. Hotel needs an update looks run down. Beds are hard as a rock felt like I slept on floor. One of the pools looked dirty. Lots of history to the hotel.

Alway ok...but had to take our large amount of luggage to our room. I had to push my own cart. No bell hop or assistance. No one asked. We changed rooms from the coronado (outdated and hard beds) to the pacifico tower, again i had to push my cart from one side of the hotel to the other. No help no offer. We kept the cart during our stay. At the end of our stay we took the cart back to the lobby the clerk said we could have been fined for keeping the cart. Next time it may stay in the parking lot.

Stayed here with my husband and my three young boys. We had a really good time. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I only took away one star because I feel like the property can do a little updating on the facilities. Other than that, everything was great. There were many restaurants and shopping at a walking distance.

What we liked was the location, Center of Town was ideal. Didn’t like, Building being 101 years old. Beds & TV almost the same age.

The staff is very helpful. There are many things to do, in and around the hotel. I was going for one night and decided to stay for another night.

The location was great easy access to beach, pier and food, pool was dirty and left a blue tint on sons white shirt means they threw some dye in it.. main thing is jacuzzi was not working was luke warm which should be hot.

Rosarito Beach Hotelhas great amenities and is only 20 mins away from San Diego. No haste with traveling far but has the same vibe as Cabo at a lot cheaper rate. Will book another family vacation here in the near future.

I reserve the hotel the reason was they have electric charge but they were fixing or broken I was very upset and worried and couldn’t find another one to charge muy car I have to return very quickly battery was getting low

This hotel is extremely run-down, dirty, and has a strong, unpleasant odor—almost like a dump. We requested to change rooms, but the one they offered was just as bad. Even the housekeeping staff admitted that the rooms smelled, blaming it on the “new curtains,” which didn’t make sense. We do not recommend staying here. When we asked for a refund, the staff refused to assist us. We ended up leaving and booking a room at Marina Coral instead—a beautiful, clean hotel that we highly recommend.

Everything is at walking distance, staff is amazing, but Difficulties sleep due to hallway and outside noise.

Rosarito beach hotel is surrounded by beautiful plants and nature. The check in and checkout process was quick and easy. We stayed here for 5 days. It is conveniently beach front with many restaurants. On the 3rd day we did encounter a rat in the hall way that ended up making it inside our room. Personnel immediately came to assist. The rat was not found, which made the last 2 days there unpleasant for myself and my family.
