WHAT A GREAT FIND!!! This was one of the best nights of sleep we've had in a hotel! Check-in was great, the room was very clean and the bed.... WOW! So comfy! The shower has the best water pressure! Truly one of the best hotel stays we've had- and we travel a lot!! Thank you for a great stay!! ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️

This was a great find on our trip!! Super clean and we were able to back right up to the door to unload our bags. The diner in the same parking lot was a plus, and gas station across the street was great for fueling up before getting back on the road. We are traveling with a dog and were able to get a room in the back near a grassy area to let him out. We travel a lot and would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a clean and quiet spot to stop for the night.

I had an outstanding stay at Walnut Inn Roland and couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room was exceptionally clean, fresh, and well-maintained. It’s clear that the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work. The bed was comfortable, everything was spotless, and the entire property felt safe and cared for. One thing that really stood out was the generous parking. There was plenty of space, making it easy to park and access my room without any hassle—something that’s becoming harder to find these days. The owner deserves special recognition. Their dedication to providing an excellent guest experience is evident in every aspect of the property. You can tell they truly care about their guests and take pride in running a first-class establishment. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with amazing staff, convenient parking, and an owner who genuinely values customer service, Walnut Inn Roland is the place to stay. The rooms were exceptionally clean and very modern. The bed was very comfortable and everyone was very nice that worked there. In its location it’s just across from the casino if that’s your thing. It was quiet and the cost was very reasonable. If I were going to be back near Fort Smith, I would definitely stay here again. The big advantage is that you’re only 5 miles west of Fort Smith yet you are outside the traffic and hubbub of the town. It it’s convenient it’s clean. It’s reasonably priced and it’s comfortable. It’s really all you could ask for. There was an issue with the electronics on the door about my card, being unable to activate. The manager tried to fix it and couldn’t and then the owner tried and also couldn’t. Unfortunately, I spent too much of my evening involved in this. I believe the proper decision would’ve been to move me to a different room so I could enjoy the reason I booked the hotel in the first place, which was to be in Fort Smith. However, I was detained for literally hours until the issue was resolved, even though I asked to just be switched to another room. I do not understand their motivations for not moving me, but I feel some anger about that. The electronic failure was not their problem. It’s a modern system, but the management decision not to move me was inappropriate and didn’t give me the time to enjoy my evening like I meant to do so I did not stay another night. There were very few rooms occupied that night so really no excuse would’ve been acceptable to me for the decision the owner made that night and no one cared about me request to move rooms and enjoy my evening. Decisions were yo benefit the hotel not me.

The Walnut Inn is very new looking - I believe they have recently renovated the hotel. Everything was very nice and clean. We will definitely stay there again when in the area. I don't think that they offer breakfast. Everything was good.

My wife and I stayed here overnight for a concert. No frills here, but clean, quiet, and comfortable. Great place, especially for the price. Eat at the diner next to it, the food is good. I had the catfish. I'd definitely stay here again.

Both check-in and check-out were very quick processes. The room was super clean and updated with a very comfortable bed. The noise level was great as we didn't hear any other patrons. The property had nearby amenities within walking distance like a delicious diner and a casino.

The room was fine. This is a noisy location. Truck stop right next to it with trucks coming and going at all hours. No breakfast but with a diner next door.

I love the new renovations. It is so much nicer and very accommodating. Loved that check in is at 1:00 and check out at 11:00. Wish they would have breakfast. But, it’s understandable with a restaurant right next door.

We didn't have the breakfast Shout out to Nora! She cleaned our room and made us feel welcome, like we were staying at her home. Loved the hotel cat too. Pillows were not the best and the blanket on the bed was a bit thin.

A new or renovated hotel. Clean and comfortable. A bit noisy due to the highway nearby. The air conditioning is not very well. The door to the bathroom does not block the light switched on inside the bathroom.

We were pleasantly surprised. Seems to have been recently renovated. Nice people and a good spot to stop, right off the highway. There is a diner next door and a casino. I do wish however that they didn’t place a couple of guys with a noisy dog right next to us when there were several empty rooms. Shower pressure was great! I would have appreciated a bit more substantial towels however.

I only stayed a few hours but my stay was very nice. I was so comfortable and at ease I actually felt rested enough to finish a long drive relatively comfortably.

Air conditioning was fine as was parking and staff. Next door was Four Star Diner-this was beyond excellent especially the sweet tea. The room was clean but the door separating the beds from the bathroom area was not working correctly.

This motel is very basic but delivered with what is important to the traveler. Very clean room and grounds which is evidence of pride of ownership. No frills but tremendous value. There is no breakfast but who cares. There was a great diner one minute walk across the parking lot. Coffee service in the room was a Keurig which is better than most. I would stay again. Two story motel without an elevator. Could be an issue for some.

One of the nicest rooms I stayed in in a long time, clean, the staff was nice, the bed slept good. I would recommend this hotel if you want a clean room, good location. I will stay here again.

The house is well maintained, very clean, nicely decorated, plenty of space to spread out!

Room was OK but deadbolt on door would not lock. Check in clerk complained abut online bookers taking too much $$$.

I was solidly, surprised by the quality of the room, the value, the friendliness of the woman at the front desk. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable. I did not expect to find this. Literally, the only thing is that there is a truckstop across the way, and there is a fair bit of truck noise. But once I fell asleep, I didn’t even notice it.

There's a diner next to the location, and it was amazing. Two out of 3 of the staff I met were amazing. I enjoyed talking to them very much. Also, the rooms were very nicely remodeled, and the water pressure, I will miss it. There's a casino across the street if that's your thing as well. One out of three of the staff I met was rude, nosy, and I just did not enjoy her presence. Also, the mini fridge had rust on the bottom of it and the room's walls need to be patched and painted also some stains on the bedding

The property was very convenient, right off of Hwy 40. Check in was easy and staff was very nice. Rooms were very clean, had everything we needed. Restaurant right next door! There was nothing not to like.

The parking is directly out front of the hotel. The checkin clerk Renee was wonderful. She checked us in easy and explained everything and was super nice and accommodating. We had a 26' moving truck as well as a trailer hitched. And they accommodated the space we needed for parking. It could have been because it was a slow day as I didn't see any spots specifically for tractor trailers but there is a lot and gas station and casino that we saw many tractor trailers resting at that is a one minute walk across the road. We were pleasantly surprised and the modern and obviously recent updates of the hotel. The shower pressure was amazing. My husband forgot to see if they had the name of the shower head. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were okay. The room was clean and modern. The bathroom was all new. We went to the park on the other side of the bridge and the Marshall memorial museum. We had dinner at the casino across the road. And we had breakfast from the diner on the other side of the parking lot. There was friendly police presence. Spoke with a couple of the officers during the last day who were super nice and friendly. The whole experience was much better than we could have imagined. I hope the owner gives Renee a raise and promotion. You don't find such hospitality like hers anymore. What a gem.

The bed was comfortable, room was clean- I loved not having carpet in the room!!! The room was well kept and looked beautiful. We make a point to stop there when we pass through that direction.

This was our second time staying at this facility and it was just as good as the first time. The entire staff is polite & accommodating. They allow pets ( with a daily fee & refundable deposit ) We will use this inn anytime we are staying overnight in the area.

We stay at the Walnut Inn every time we travel on I-40. It is the perfect stopping point for us. They are pet-friendly and the rooms have been recently renovated. Being right next to the casino is nice too. No matter what time we arrive the casino grille is always open with incredible food. Service is very good as well.

The place was quiet but not the cleanest. Doors and light switches have not been cleaned in a long time. It is located right of the freeway making it convenient.

Excellent Value! Large, comfortable room with everything I needed. (There was no hair dryer in the room but they gave me one to use for the duration of my stay when I asked) Immaculately clean.The bed was great. The room door opened to the outside instead of an interior hallway which I don't usually care for but I felt very safe here. A little road noise but not bad. I made two special requests at the time of booking and they were both met. Very attentive and eager to please staff. I will definitely stay again. Highly recommended

We booked for 4 people and there was on 2 towels in the room we ran out of toilet paper. They didn’t bring us any clean towles

This property is perfect for visiting family during the holidays. We stayed three days and the entire stay was quiet & very relaxing. The staff and owners were all very friendly. They are next door to the 4 star restaurant and the food there is absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to stay there again next month for Christmas.

Clean room, great shower

The hotel was the best. No complaints at all. The only problem I have is I booked this room for my husband, but when he got there, he had to pay with his credit card since they didn’t have anything in the system from yall. When I found out about this the following day I called the hotel, and they said they didn’t receive anything from yall til 2:30 and he checked in at 1. I, for some reason, assumed that when I hit the button on my end that it went directly to the hotel. Now I have a charge on my account for something he had to pay for with his card, and he had to pay a lot more. So, where do I go from here?

We love the location of this property. It was recently remodeled and is very cosy. Decent cost and walkable to the Casino. Very nice staff and very accommodating. Pet friendly.

Everything was fine; it served our purposes making a 2000 mile journey quite well. The only drawback was an 18-wheeler parked close to our room. Refrigeration compressors made quite a bit of noise throughout the night.

Walnut Inn was impeccably clean. Seems recently renovated top notch. Beds are comfortable. You can back up to your door to offload luggage. Lobby and grounds very well kept and appealing. Diner is in same parking lot. Gas station across street. I-40 is short distance. Close to downtown Fort Smith but still feels like you’re in country. We booked room for family visit. Booked initially for 3 days but when I saw room and location booked for full week.i never got tired of our room as it was twice size of most hotel rooms.

I spent a night as I was driving through to my destination. The place looks fresh and recently updated. The housecleaning personnel that I interacted with were friendly and cheerful. It seemed to me that there is a lot of pride in the way they keep the place clean. I would definitely consider a stay here if I'm in the area again.

Location was excellent. Staff was good and supportive but the room were not very good, they were clean and tidy but amenities in room such as some light were not functioning. I had to figure out how tv will work, tv remote was not wotking and the managing staff was not available. However, after some time I figured out and then the stay was smooth. Not bad…. But not excellent, it is stayable (if that is a word 😉).

Very nice hotel, would stay again...

Hotel was nice and clean, and newly renovated. The room was spacious and chic. Customer service was great, we needed an iron to press a dress for a wedding and front staff gave us an iron to use. Check in and out was very easy. It was perfect for a one night stay for the wedding that we attended.

Check in was quick and efficient. Room was spacious. One bed had stains on the bottom sheet. Sheet appeared to be clean, just stained which was off putting.

The hotel was clean and easy access from the main road. It looked like the whole entire hotel was refurbished. I was concerned about the quality of the hotel before I booked it because the price was so cheap but I decided to go ahead to book after I read many good reviews. The room was super clean and the bathroom was designed functionally and decorated very simply but neat enough. There was no complementary breakfast but the desk person said they are working on it. The only thing if I may complain was there was no hairdryer.

This is a great value for the money. The two rooms we rented were clean and spacious, and customer service was good. The relatively quiet setting, location next to a good cafe and gas station plus its close proximity to I-40 and Fort Smith made it ideal for my business trip to the area. The only downside was the apparent inability to open the window or set the air unit to receive fresh air. I would definitely consider staying here again.
