My wife and I stayed here in March for the NASCAR race in Martinsville. 1850 plantation house with lots of old American charm. My wife and I found the place to be super clean. We stayed in the Conspiracy - the bed was very comfortable, the standup shower while small had great water pressure and good hot water. High quality towels here, no cheap stuff. Not a lot of frills - it is a Bed no breakfast, they do offer some snacks, soda & coffee. There’s not a lot of nearby food options or things to do but if you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful place to rest this is it! We will be back next spring.

I loved its proximity to the concert we came for. The house was beautiful and the rooms were clean and well maintained. I think the upstairs (including the stairs) need to be carpeted to help with noise.

Enjoyed our stay- second time staying here (attended Harvester show both times). Enjoyed breakfast last time which is no longer included but they do provide a discount at restaurant across the street if you stay at the inn. Would come back !

The pictures don’t do justice. Beautiful place, large room and private bathroom. Bryan was a great host. Note that it’s a “bed, NO breakfast”, but there’s a little burger place literally across the street that serves a tasty and reasonably priced breakfast.

I enjoyed staying at the Early Inn so much! Brian was a wonderful host. The room was beautiful and took me back in time! It was in walking distance of several places including The Harvestor where we saw the show. There was a great restaurant The Rocky Mount Burger Company! So much more. I highly recommend The Early Inn.

This is a beautiful, historic property located within easy walking distance of the Harvester Center, where we attended a concert. Our room was expansive, beautiful and comfortable. Why stay at a hotel when this historic home/inn is available? We are soooooooooo glad hotels were booked and we had to stay here! Thank you, Brian, for great, friendly check in service, and ensuring our stay was GREAT! Everything was WONDERFUL! We loved everything!

Bed No breakfast with meh snacks. Location great right across the street from the Harvester Smelled like fabreze was sprayed on the bed This could be very toxic to people. Also there were no blackout curtains and a large transom where the room was lit up like the full moon

Suggestion: Arrive during daylight. It’s tough to find the little driveway in a dimly lit street. Not very tech established for plug in’s, so bring adapters. The property also owns the “Burger” location across the street which they give a $5 discount for breakfast at the location, opens after 8:30am though.

I arrived to an empty building. There was a note with a key. My bathroom was down the hall and not connected to my room. The front door to the building remained unlocked with no one there for any type of security. I woke up in the morning and still, no one was there. I needed to check out early due to a weather emergency back home but I had to leave a note on the kitchen table and have yet to receive any receipt. Won’t go back. Very impersonal and uninviting

Beautiful grounds and house. Our schedule did not permit us to eat breakfast there, but the room was great! Bathrooms are modern. Would stay again, especially if we had time to eat the 8:30a breakfasts.

WOW, We both loved it. It was just like being at home. We got lost on our way, I called and the nice lady helped us find our way to the entrance. She stayed on the phone until we found it. WOW. Then we got there, a man gave us discount for eating at nearby burger place. Food was great. (gave separate review). The next morning, we had choice of coffee, juice, lemon cake, pound, variety of fruit and yogurt. We loved the entire stay. Beautiful rooms, big bathroom. Thank you to the owners for making our stay such a wonderful one.

On top of that it was seriously the quietest place Ive ever stayed. Only minor gripe is the super soft bed but thats probably because I sleep on a firm bed at home. We booked last minute while traveling along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Lucky for us they had cancellations that opened up a room at the inn. One of the better experiences I've had anywhere. The historic residence has updated conveniences (like the heated floor in our bathroom) and is decorated in a way that you really do feel at home, comfy and upscale. The innkeeper and chef, Agnes, was welcoming and friendly. We were there on the weekend, so we were treated to homemade sage sausage, along with eggs, bacon, toast and coffee, tea, and juice, in the morning. We had dinner the night before at a burger joint across the street, also owned by the same folks who run the inn. Good, quick food there as well. There are 10 acres of grounds that the inn sits on, but the house itself is close to town and the road, but the entrance road is a bit hidden. Guests are welcome to use the library and other common areas.

Perfectly located next to Harvester and convenient to restaurant and highways including the Blue Ridge Parkway. Beautiful piece of history, civil war and mid-century, preserved. We felt privileged.
