Homewood Suites by Hilton Rockville-Gaithersburg

I was given 2 parking passes and was not notified that it was $10 a day per vehicle for parking so I had a $20 charge the following day. That was not mentioned anywhere.

Breakfast was good. Building was nice. Loved the decor. Staff professional. Suite was comfortable. The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom sconces were dirty. $10 charge for parking was an unpleasant surprise.

I was here for a tournament and it was a great experience for the kids. The laundry machines and swimming pool (and breakfast) was perfect for our needs as a traveling soccer parent.

Return visit to this location. Quiet, convenient and great breakfast.

Hot tub was out of service and pool was very dirty Staff was helpful but did not give very much information upon check in (what time was breakfast, where's the pool, housekeeping notes, etc.) Rooms were clean, house keeping comes every other day so don't accidentally miss it by putting it the privacy sign out on the wrong day Coin laundry was convenient and clean Parking was easy

Quiet, comfortable and clean! I wish there was a magnifying mirror for the bathroom and I wish you could close the heavy blinds to block out all light. They were stationary and we only had sheer curtains over the windows. We like it darker. Even without those two things, one of the best rooms we've stayed in.

Room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I had everything I needed. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend this property and will stay again on a future visit.

Parking was abundant. We found a spot close to the entrance. Breakfast was included. It had a variety, including hot items, cereal, toast, and oatmeal. A bit more hot item options than 4 would have been nice. Staff was professional and friendly.

I liked cleanliness. Overall, it was comfortable, affordable and accessible to many restaurants and the interstate as well. The breakfast had a great selection and was very good. The young lady who checked us in did not mention anything the hotel offered.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay. The room and property are pretty beat up, but everything functioned well and was good for a single night stay. Parking is free and easy.

The room booked had a nice fireplace option, and the breakfast was nice. (Wanted to give some good feedback too.) When checking in, I was told that we would not be interrupted by the Carbon Monoxide detector checks, b/c they would happen after we checked out. Oh, what did we get in the morning, a knock on the door, even though we had do not disturb, for a carbon monoxide check. UGH. Communication is a key part of customer service. All of this could have been avoided if the right communication would have happened. 2nd time I stayed here, and unfortunately, will probably be the last. Very Dissapointing Homewood!

My room felt like home. I could have stayed more days. Plus the room was on the main floor. Made it easy to shop/ return w/ sopping bags, go to breakfast easier.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and it was very quiet. The only cons were that there was no blackout curtains to close to keep out the sunlight in the AM if you wanted to sleep in. Also the breakfast was not that great and it lack variety. I would stay here again even with those cons mentioned.

My Suite was excellent. The room as always is very clean,handicap friendly, bed is so comfortable,no noise. The front desk staff is very professional, friendly and quick to respond to your needs.

Met the usual expectation of clean and spacious. I went with the room picked for me and should have chosen mine during online check-in. We were by an employee door and it seemed next to the banquet room with wedding music. Also not sure if it was the HVAC or some other reason but my asthma and allergies kicked up in that room. Staff were great. The coffee and breakfast were great

My husband I had a great stay at Homewood Suites Rockford/Gaithersburg, Maryland. We stayed a week while visiting family. From the front desk, breakfast staff and housekeeping crew we were greeted in a professional and personable manner. The included breakfast buffet was the typical hotel breakfast with the addition of tortillas and rotating choice of fillings. This area was well stocked with hot and cold food. The room and hotel was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area

Enjoyed my time at this hotel. This was my second time staying there with my family. Unfortunately,the pool was closed for servicing during our stay this time around. You can tell it is an older hotel that has been well managed. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spacious. They also have washers and dryers available for use at a fee which is really convenient.Cabinets and china may have to be updated at some point. Breakfast is simple. The ladies who manage the breakfast area could be warmer to some customers. Some of the front desk personnel were so welcoming. Shout out to the Congolese gentleman who usually does nights and to the African lady( I didn't get their names-sorry) . Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This property was BEAUTIFUL, clean, and quiet! I was extremely impressed with how nice and spacious the rooms were, parking was ample, and there is a wonderful plaza full of restaurants right behind the hotel! There was not much staff presence (the front desk was usually empty), but the staff was always very helpful and kind! :)

We had a large King suite. It felt like an apartment not a hotel room. Staff was very nice and helpful and the hotel has a deal with grubhub so ordering food was super easy and quick!

The buffet was really nice - had a taco themed breakfast which was pretty cool. Front staff and workers were very thoughtful in their process. The area is filled with restaurants and shops, and not too far from the metro for easy city access.

The elevator was not working when I was there last time and still not working. The wait was about 15 minutes for the elevator and the breakfast was about to close. So I suggested that if the elevator is not working to allow guest have breakfast and have breakfast open for another half hour.

Great option because prices in the DC area way too expensive. Free parking and free breakfast a plus. The pool was great with good hours as well so that is a plus for me. Great dining only 5 minutes away by car.

We needed a convent comfortable place near our medical center for surgery. The place was so clean, staff very friendly. Loved the pool and workout area. The breakfast was excellent!!! Highly recommend!!!

Never got to stay there; got pneumonia and tried to cancel via Expedia but could not reach a live person; also tried to cancel via hotel directly, who said only Expedia can make the cancellation. FRUSTRATING waste of money.

The accommodations were very pleasant and comfortable with a fire in a huge fireplace and the breakfast was more than adequate. The staff keep everything stocked with fresh food and it was GOOD. I’m normally not a breakfast person but I actually went back for seconds. The muffins were awesome. Turned out to be a nice Valentine’s getaway just 2 miles from our house. We also enjoyed a pleasant meal in the Hilton Garden next door.

I have stayed several times at this beautiful hotel. This time I was given a room overlooking the trash dumpster. If the area had been kept neat this would been acceptable. However the area was always a mess. I witnessed employees throwing garbage at dumpster. Some garbage would fall on pavement and not be picked up!

Beautiful and cozy room! We felt like we were in a furnished apartment rather than a hotel room. The gas fireplace was very nice and gave the room feel like being at home. Comfortable furniture, clean kitchenette that included dishes and cookware, and a full size fridge! Only thing missing was an oven. My one and only complaint was the lack of hot water in the bathroom. It was room temperature at best. If we're in need of a room again, we will definitely book it here.

On the surface this looked like a really nice hotel. The staff was also very helpful. Unfortunately, more maintenance needs to be done. The heater in our living room area was "out" when we arrived. An employee reset it if for us but by morning it was out again and quite chilly in the space. The fireplace-which was one reason I chose the hotel because it was our anniversary was broken.

Everything was good except the washroom smelt like an open drainage and the exhaust wasn’t working properly either. They tried to move us to another room but that room’s washroom had the same problem so we choose to stay in our room and bought a perfume to spray in the washroom.

I enjoy this hotel and stay here whenever I am able.

I have stayed at this hotel many times with some visits lasting a month. This time it just struck me that the hotel is showing its age. The window ac units are incredibly loud. They would wake the dead. The sliding door on the closet kept falling off the track. Doors in the kitchen area don't close all the way. Small items except for the ac but I will be looking for another choice before the spring visit.

My room selection was misleading on Expedia.com and wasn’t enough room to fit my family. My family and I decided not to stay the night at the hotel. The hotel front desk employee wasn’t very friendly and just blamed Expedia.com. It’s unfortunate that I’m an Honors member.

The stay was great the staff was good I just wish they had hot coffee which I look for at a hotel and the water was turned off right before check out which was annoying and they didn’t give any accommodation for the inconvenience. But other than that it was a good stay.

Everything was good, but breakfast was limited No pancakes and waffles offered. But, was delicious what they offered. Room door and pool keys were Working with several tryouts. Most of the time I had to be bailed out by pool goers. Overall it’s a great place to stay

This is my 4th time here in this hotel and when I am in this area to work again, I will be staying here. The breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful. Lots of parking space and many things to do, eat or just relax at around the area. Beautiful seating area on the main floor. A 5+ for me.

The only critique I can give is that the room was a little dated. It was clean enough that it felt good despite it being older.

The hotel itself was fantastic but the pool was a letdown. It had so much chlorine in it that my eyes were burning just being in the pool area.

The woman in the breakfast area (not sure name but she had a five year old?)-was absolutely above and beyond lovely. All the staff was great. The elevator broken and the hallways hot but that was not their fault . Every staff member we encountered was fab.

We stayed for 3 nights while visiting family and taking the train into Washington DC on two of the days. The room was nice, with 1 king bed and sofabed for my son. I liked the shampoo, conditioner & body wash containers inside the shower and lotion on the counter. Beds and pillows were clean and comfy. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding! scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, waffles, the usual yogurt, fruit, breads, bagels & muffins but they also had a daily special of breakfast burritos you could assemble with pork or chicken, eggs,tortillas, different sauces like a cilantro crema and it all looked homemade by the ladies in the kitchen. The pool and hot tub looked nice, but we got back to the hotel too late each night to use it. The hotel was near the Shady Grove train park & ride station so that was convenient. Used laundry room and that was fine too. Only issue was they were resurfacing the parking lot that week and made parking very tight some nights. But they gave plenty of notice about it so we knew ahead of time. Overall, very nice place.

Very disappointing that they repave the parking lot and leave no parking for customers and make them pay at the garage across the street.

The room is next to an exit and the elevator so it’s noisy in the morning and late evening. The happy hour thing is only on Wednesday, not other weekday evenings. The hotel is clean and in good condition.

One problem is that drapes are not have dark drapes. I can’t sleep well during the morning because of bright!

In the suites, the shower/bath tub areas were very filthy looking, eventhough, it was probably a surface issue on the bathtubs it should be addressed since it hinders the cleaning process and looks gross. The drawers in the bathrooms were unusable and gross. The kitchen was a nice feature if it were kept up. Needs cabinet cleaning and refinishing or some inserts to help keep it clean. Sliding mirrors in the closet were broken keeping the doors from sliding open and close. The dressers smelled and transfered the smell onto my clothes. Should’ve kept them in my suitcase even after cleaning out the dressers.

Fortunately there was no issue -

The property overall and the room I stayed in were excellent. The staff and management were courteous, helpful, and very accommodating. Unfortunately, the pool was being serviced and only available on the last days of our stay. Ordinarily, this would not be an issue, but with an active 9-year old looking forward to a daily swim, this made our stay just a bit more challenging.

Great rooms, clean, spacious, modern, comfortable. Breakfast items rotate so not exactly the same every day (example rotation between sausage links, sausage patties, and bacon) which is a nice touch. A very good dog-friendly location!

The Buffett for Breakfast was very substandard, I ended up paying $60 for breakfast at their restaurant which was in the same building. I think that was intentional and very sneaky. Never staying there again.
