    Breakfast (for which we paid $10 extra) was mediocre and underwhelming: eggs, sausage, muffins and mediocre coffee. No yogurt and very limited fruit selection. If you have a car, I suggest skipping breakfast at the hotel.

    Not pet friendly. I’ve stayed at this hotel, perhaps 100 nights or more, and perhaps they have always been taking $100 pet fee. But, it’s the highest pet fee of any place I’ve stayed. They say it is for special cleaning. But that’s not true. It’s just a way to take advantage of pet owners. I asked at the desk if a pet had stayed in the room before me and was told that a pet was in the room just prior to me. The room looked generally clean. But there were a couple of fruit loops on the floor in a corner, and when I unrolled the bath mat, there was urine on it. I do love the hotel, the staff, the location. And I’m ok with an occasional miss on a cleaning item. But that is not the result of an extra $100 special cleaning done after pets. Essentially, it doubles the price of the room. It’s just taking advantage of pet owners. They should not call this place pet friendly, instead perhaps just honestly say they treat pet owners poorly. The Cambria in Rockville is similar price, similar location, nice rooms, and actually pet friendly. I feel my IHG membership and many stays here have just been taken advantage of. Again, wonderful staff. It’s not their policy. It comes from above. I’ll avoid all IHG hotels in the future.

    Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Price was right. Some confusion when checking in with regard to parking and breakfast charges. I signed up for IHG so my parking was to be free. Also my reservation indicated that my paid price included breakfast. I was originally I would have to pay half for the parking. Both of these issues were resolved later with help from the front desk.

    Shower is a glass door that only opens from one side. For shorter people this could be a hassle. Twice the shower head fell off and opening the door sprayed water everywhere.

    Stains on flop. Damage throughout the room. Design of all rooms within the hotel have sliding glass barm doors with gaps on the side so if you are staying in the room with someone they can hear, smell and see you while you are in the restroom.

    Ah, you're totally right—sorry about the wait! Here's the draft: I'll say something like, "I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The check-in staff gave no parking or elevator instructions, and we had to figure it out on our own. The front desk was dismissive and rude when asked for help. Our heater was broken, and despite multiple requests, they never fixed it. On top of that, I was charged extra for parking incorrectly. I do not recommend staying here."     We arrived on Friday night staffing was short and check- in was pretty simple except during the day they seem to be more aware. The room was clean as well as the hotel and good for the price near everything. Breakfast for $10 a person was definitely worth it if you get it on Expedia. Parking was not that great and it was $20 a night. Was a decent day with great amenities and convenient to the main attractions.

    The Even Hotel staff is very friendly and professional. We enjoyed a clean room for our entire stay. It is located in good area surrounded by restaurants and plenty of shopping. The parking is actually right outside the front door of the hotel. This is our third visit to the The Even Hotel at Rockville.MD and we are planning on staying with them again.

    My negative experience related to hotel’s personnel, specifically, at the front desk and their staff responsible for payment process. I booked the hotel via Expedia and paid in full my room at day of booking. However, in the middle of my stay (in 10 days from the beginning) the hotel charged my credit card on the file for two times (two days in different amounts). It happened about a week before an end of my stay. When I figured out this, I contacted to hotel’s representative, who said that they have not received a confirmation of payment from Expedia. So, according to this info Expedia is guilty. I contacted to Expedia’s representative and he provide me with all details of process (timeline and events), specifically that the hotel charged my credit card at the very first day of my stay. As it follows from Expedia evidence, hotel’s representative statement was false. Definitely, two hotel’s charges on my credit card have been released, but my feeling about this situation did not change – poor service

    The fist person who checked me in vas very nice and friendly. the hotel is near the metro station but other hotels in the area may be better. They don't clean the room daily. They just come and give new towels without cleaning anything. Even when you ask they do bare minimum. Also some staff are not happy to work there and make your life harder when you ask things.

    I am 5 feet tall. The bed is too high for short people. There should be a way to heat food in the room. Need drawers for items that don’t need to be hung up like socks and underwear. Complementary hot Tea should be available along with the coffee on the main floor.

    I booked a Newly Renovated King bed with walk in shower did not get that. I got queen bed and tub shower with the tub…absolutely not renovated in any way. The sink plug fell off and green rust in the spouts of both sink and shower. I took pictures. I was extremely disappointed. It looked more like a cheap motel room. I have been to this hotel before and did not have that experience of what so ever. I was also charged for the parking fee that was already included in my fee initially. I was so disappointed and I did speak to the front desk gentleman who let me know they don’t have any king rooms or walk in showers. I didn’t want to make a big deal but, noise all night and someone in the hallways with all their stuff. I wasn’t impressed all. I took many pictures of the rust and all the amenities falling apart. I didn’t even want to shower in the room. I try to get away once in a while with hubby. Out stay away from the kiddos.

    The Hotel is generally clean. Staff are hospitable and friendly. It is also easily accessible. The charges that I signed for on booking were varied throughout my stay. I thought that the rates I secure at booking time operate throughout the stay. These were varied on daily basis and I don't find that pleasant. Too many taxes on American services. The breakfast could have been better.

    The tail of thin: Thin toilet paper, Kleenex, and hand towels. Don’t show up to the breakfast buffet late. The food dries up and gets hard. Found cream cheese with mold on it. Inside elevators are dirty and showers need caulk. Toliet seat was discolored and marred-just replaced it!. Had to pay $20 for parking each night-never had do that before.

    The manager, who also checked me in and was always at the reception, is exceptionally wonderful person. He was on point and attend to all of my needs. I also saw him do the same for every customer, great leaders are always in the trenches with teams, he’s a great leader.

    The Even Hotel is very clean. It prides itself on supporting good health, from the fruit-infused water in the lobby, to the work-out equipment in each room, with workout videos on TV. The guy who ran the front desk was very nice (I didn't catch the spelling of his name), and patient, even though he was totally overworked. Not only did he handle check-in, payment and all other "front desk" tasks, but he also took breakfast orders, cooked the food and brought it to the table. And when we objected to a misleading hidden cost, he removed it from our bill. The showerhead in the shower is only the hand-held kind. If you try to use it hooked to the holder, it has been installed backwards, so that it showers onto the wall, not onto the person. Similarly: They have installed the large bottles of liquid hand soap and hand lotion over the counter, but right below the electrical outlet; so, if you need to plug in a device charger with a cube, there is no room. Also: The new shower doors go almost to the ceiling, so there's nowhere to hang a bath towel over the doors, so that you can dry yourself without getting out of the shower. When they design a new bathroom, or other area, they should try it out for a night before doing the whole project. Also: Not all the electrical outlets work. Should be tested.

    At around 8:00 AM, housekeeping knocked on my door asking about room service. It honestly felt like they were trying to push guests to decline service just to make things easier for themselves. Being disturbed that early seriously affected my rest. For a hotel that promotes wellness and comfort, waking guests up at 8 AM is completely unacceptable. Guests should not feel pressured or disturbed while they are trying to sleep. I expected a much more considerate and professional experience. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet that standard.

Being disturbed that early seriously affected my rest. For a hotel that promotes wellness and comfort, waking guests up at 8 AM is completely unacceptable. Guests should not feel pressured or disturbed while they are trying to sleep. I expected a much more considerate and professional experience. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet that standard.

I looked for a bell, walked around and as I was looking up ph to call a young lady came and not even acknowledged how long I had been waiting as I said I was just about to call. The room was nice, no issues. Enjoyed the view that I did have. Was excited about the bike and other workout equipment. As I was checking out I did eat breakfast which I was not impressed with. The waffle was hard and I’ve never had a waffle with Greek yogurt on it. I was expecting in a small cup or bowl. Those reasons were my reasons for giving it a 3 and not a 5

    The room was in decent shape however the glass bathroom door had huge gaps so there was no privacy. The gym equipment was definitely outdated and half the machines didn’t work. It was freezing outside so getting from the 5th floor garage to inside the hotel was a process. Elevators inside the hotel were freezing.

    The hotel was in good condition. Clean room and bathroom with all the necessities. I had multiple issues with the TV. DirecTV would stop working multiple times and the screen would go black. I called the front desk to report the issue and they sent the “engineer” upstairs who showed me how to fix it if it happened again which it did multiple times. The shower head was questionable. Good water pressure but sprayed water everywhere. The floor, the toilet, the ceiling. Also, the hydration station on the floors were out of order so had to go down to the lobby to fill my water bottle each time. Staff was very nice though.

    I went to go check in and the staff wouldn’t let me as I was under 21. I however had a person with me who was over 21 and was the other traveler in my 2 person reservation. I asked if it was possible to add her to the reservation then since she was over 21 and she told me couldn’t help me and told me i had to call a number. It wasn’t the correct number so it didn’t work when I called. When i told the staff this she called someone and didn’t apologize at all for anything. When she got off the call she told me I had to call another number and they would fix it. I called the second number and eventually they said we were good. I went up to the staff again and she said we could finally go to our room and officially be checked in. The staff still didn’t apologize and just said thank you for your patience. It was an extremely stressful situation that wasn’t helped at all with how the staff handled it.

    I was less than impressed by this property. We stayed there for three nights for a high school reunion. The TV malfunctioned for over half of our stay despite repeated efforts on the part of the hotel to fix it. We were given the cost of one night stay as a courtesy refund. For an expensive hotel room, the furniture was shockingly poor. The little wooden closet and the chest of drawers look like they came straight from Walmart. At least the bed was comfortable.

    Clean spacious room, workout area was clean and had enough equipment. Nice hotel staff. The little downtown area is just a 15 min walk away or 5 min by car and there’s even shopping and food options right in the plaza where the hotel is located.

    Love this place, and I’ve stayed here many many times, but on this trip I was charged $100 per pet per night, and that is the most I’ve ever been charged anywhere. It almost doubles the cost of the room. So, unfortunately I’ll need to find a new place to love.

    Beautiful hotel, very quaint love the decor and the staff are fantastic! I will come back and refer others.     I did not like the fact that I had to pay for parking, they didn't offer breakfast, they don't have microwave in the rooms. Poor room service. One housekeeping attempt to open my room while I was still asleep. They have one small microwave downstairs in the lobby But it was very dirty. There was trash next to the microwave.

    Only a few minor complaints. Had issues finding working convenience outlets. The above counter ones directly adjacent to beds were useless, no power. USB's worked, but not the outlets and I have a CPAP. And the shower drained slowly, so would back up a bit if the shower ran long. But overall, positive experience.

    Lots of restaurants and shopping. Food at hotel is pricey and food market is well overpriced. Parts are not as clean as they could be. Parking is free, but you share it with a shopping center or have to use the top layers of the garage.

    Overall cleanliness was about a 6/10. The coffee machine was dirty….thankfully I didn’t use it. The room itself was very basic, with older carpet that triggered my asthma, so be mindful if you have sensitivities. The fridge/freezer unit was leaking water, which made things inconvenient. The TV screen was going out and clearly needs replacing. The bathroom door handle was also loose and falling off, which added to the overall impression of neglect. For the price we paid, I was surprised there was no complimentary breakfast. Parking was an additional $20 per day, which I might have accepted if there had actually been available parking. Each night, we had to drive around searching for a spot, which is frustrating when you’re being charged for it. Also, avoid grabbing drinks from the front desk. We made that mistake and ended up with a surprise $57 charge for just two drinks. That was absurd. Given all of this, I would not stay here again.

    The service was good. However, the shower lacked a grab bar and they could not provide a proper bath mat so it is easy to slip in the shower. The room is spacious but there are no drawers to unpack clothes, and very limited space for hanging anything up. The room seems to be designed for jocks to work out in the empty space.

    The shower pooled water on the floor outside in the bathroom because of the large gap between the sliding glass door and the glass wall of the shower. Also the soap dispenser on the bathroom was poorly installed and was not well attached to the wall. It was clean and the air conditioner worked well. But it is not a luxury stay.

    We checked in late, so we were so tired. My son like to hear the tv when he goes to sleep but when I went to turn the TV on the TV did not work. It gave me a message saying something was wrong with it not connected directly. I called the front desk and they told me that they can’t fix it because no one’s there they can fix it right now. In the morning, I told the lady when I checked out and she said she will tell someone but I feel like they should’ve gave me a discount on my room since TV didn’t work. Overall, it was comfortable, but not accommodating.

    The bed was awesome. The guy at the reception was very welcoming. I found the carpet in the hallway not very clean. The hotel should definitely look into it. The floor inside the elevator needs cleaning too. Apart from that, I had a peaceful stay.

    Hotel didn't have coffee in the lobby - which is practically unheard of. The room did not have a microwave and the towels had several long black hairs in them. Upon arrival, I had to pay for parking each night. This hotel is in Rockville, not downtown DC. Having to pay that much for parking is ridiculous.

    The room was extremely humid and damp. There were puddles on the floor. The smoke detector kept going off so we disconnected it. The luggage carts could be easily moved. No microwave.

    The entrance is hidden a little and can be confusing, but otherwise this is a wonderful hotel. Close to the metro station very comfy pillows and beds. The AC was ice cold, which is a great thing in the heat of summer. Lots of shopping and grocery in the area.

    Expedia took deposit from me and The hotel also charge me more than what I supposed to pay I am waiting for them to return the rest of my money.     Every person on staff was top notch! They wanted to make sure that you were totally satisfied at every turn. All of the staff worked well together to achieve the common goal of taking care of the customer and keeping the property clean and well stocked!     The staff was not nice. No microwave and no makeremover in the room. Dirty bed. The elevator was broken with no sign on it. I get into it and get stuck for minutes before firefighter came to rescue. I do not recommend the hotel

    My biggest concern was the cleaning staff. unless yu request for the room to be cleaned, no one will come in to clean or even empty the garbage. I had 5 nights of stay and my bed was not changed at all. I left the room everyday and came back lake night to a dirty room. It was like this every day even when i went to the front desk to report. i had the worst experience ever in a hotel. The breakfast menu had very limited choices for $19.00, sorry.
