Location. Poorly maintained. Our room key didn’t work several times, and had to get manager to unlock the door with a loop that goes under door. Elevator out of order. Push bar falling off exterior exit door. Bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way. Loud party in next room had to be contacted by front desk several times!! Parking lot too dark at night.

I loved everything about my visit. If I should happen to be in the area again I will most definitely stay at the Courtyard again. There is nothing to say about not liking anything. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a great experience.

There's a small bar/bistro on-site, but better dining options close hy.

This is your basic hotel. The rooms were okay. The bathrooms need remodeling. The bathtub needed some TLC. It was like they re-grouted it, but then left kind of mess everywhere. It "mostly" felt clean, but it definitely had a musty smell when I first walked in.

The room was clean and spacious. The staff was helpful and nice. Even though it is stated that they do not supply free parking, they have a large parking lot that belongs to the hotel, so there was absolutely no reason for them to charge an additional fee for parking. It wasn't a lot, but it was annoying.

The room was diry . Had mold everywhere and when I turned on the water to shower there were little bugs flying around . I ended up returning the keys the same night and ended up getting another room at a different hotel the same night . Angela who was very dishonest stated to me that they would be more then happy to refund me but since I went through a third party I would have to contact them . The next day she lied stating that I stayed there . There is camera footage of me checking out and I have a receipt from the hotel I stayed . So how did I stay in two different hotels the same night . Do not stay here . The staff is rude and dishonest and the place is in horrible conditions

Shower in one of the rooms was nice. Price was good. Was told that they would accommodate my request to have the rooms next to each other, but this was not provided when we arrived. Had they just said they couldn’t from the beginning that would have been fine, but it is unprofessional to say that you will but then fail to do so when we arrive. Also one of the rooms did not have conditioner in the shower which is a fairly basic expectation that was not provided.

We booked and confirmed a king bed and were told that we could only get it for one night So they were putting us in a room with 2 queens. We booked and paid for a king so that was disappointing and they said they can't control 3rd party booking which made us feel that because it was 3rd party, rooms were not fair game. The first room we got smelled like a gym locker room, mixed with mildew and pet odor...and there was a barking dog 1or 2 doors down. We told them we couldn't stay there....I asked if they had pet free rooms and they said no. The second room felt like a sauna. The thermostat on the heating unit said 68 but it felt 90 in there. We turned the AC on but it didn't improve much. They sent an "engineer " to the room and she could not understand the problem...finally my husband was able to communicate so she understood, and told us she couldn't do anything until the next day so to keep the air on. We were not satisfied with that so they transferred us to a third room and that room was on the opposite side near conference rooms , quiet, a little better condition although the alarm click went off the second and third mornings and we have no idea why...especially after turning it off the first time. There is no breakfast included but a Starbucks where you can buy breakfast. The in-room coffee isn't bad but there's powdered creamer and 1 per packet of sugar...seems like a waste and you'd think Marriott Bonvoy would have liquid creamer. Finally the check-in staff was patient, helpful, and professional, but the check-out staff didn't ask how our stay was, didn't thank us for choosing their hotel...and just said " all set" .

Very clean, great location, comfortable bed, great water pressure, sofa in room, and as always with Marriott a great stay. And very good lighting. That housekeeping checks to see if out of room at 10:30 am when check out at noon. We stay up very late and need that time. Although appreciate had a do not disturb sign we had forgotten to use. Also a bathroom fan would be great.

The room was not as clean as one would expect - there was still garbage in the trash from the previous guests, hair on towels, a stain on the couch ottoman. Otherwise, the hotel itself was fine and the staff were friendly.

Everything was clean, but the room was extremely humid and smelled a bit like mold. Apparently they knew there was an issue with the AC in the room but still gave it to me. Thankfully there was another room they could move us to instead.

The bed mattresses were way to soft, nearly broken. The mattress felt like I was sleeping in a memory foam hammock. Uncomfortable for my back. Actually challenging to climb out of.

Staff was polite and courteous but average at being helpful. Location was handy to I-270 and Metro. I stayed three nights and my room was never made up. I had to ask a maid I saw in hallway for fresh towels. My room was also oddly humid. Would probably not stay there again.

Great value, great. Room smelled stuffy/lockerroomish but with the balcony door cracked it aired out, possible because outdoor temps were 50 to 70 degrees. Unfortunately door can only be opened 2 inches and there are no working windows.

In general, stay was fine. Breakfast offered great service and excellent coffee. Room was clean and comfortable. The only complaint was that one night a group in the courtyard around the fire pit was quite noisy until well past midnight.

My bigggg complain is about the included breakfast, it is not buffet, have to order from a set menu, items are good and tasty, the problem is to wait a least 15 minutes for one person to get the order, go to the kitchen and prepare the order, it takes too long and very inconvenient. Then at checkout the breakfast bill is added to the total bill which has to be dedicated. No need for all of these fuss, get more people to serve and make the stay more pleasurable.

I had a first floor room facing the parking lot and I heard cars and sirens all night. Room was outstanding. Staff was great, but the noise kept me awake. Definitely request a courtyard facing room.

The staff here was amazing. They helped set up a pack and play for my nephew, and took extra steps to make sure that we were comfortable traveling with a disabled individual.

This hotel does not look too fancy or exciting from the outside. However, the room was spacious and clean. Everything functioned—TV, shower was excellent, and the bed was very comfortable . The place was fine for us. Clean. Room was cleaned very well. Comfortable bed. Coffee available in the lobby in the morning. Easy entrance and parking. The sign outside is hard to see though. We drove past the place first time around.

This is a very nice hotel and one that I would return to. The accommodations were nice, my suite was spacious and clean and it was nice to have space to move around in the room and a desk to work from. Staff was extremely nice and accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Nice, clean, quiet place for a stay in Bethesda, though a bit far out. It had quick and easy access to the highway on the day we left. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff was friendly, and the bartender Zia was AWESOME. I didn’t at all appreciate the way a large group seated at the bar was spoken to by the night manager- she scolded a group of adults quietly sitting and talking, to announce that the lobby was closing and they needed to move along. This was at 10:15 as I was checking in. I actually had to return to the desk to ask for blankets and pillows to be sent up for our pullout bed, and she was hollering across me & across the lobby, to both other staff and guests. It was rude, and very unprofessional. When I asked for the pillows and blankets, I was told they would be brought up. I went to my car, got a bag, and when I got back to my room, the pillows were thrown on the bed and the blanket was just tossed on the bed. I hadn’t given permission for her to just walk in my room, and I was not pleased to see the careless way the things were just tossed in. They could have been left at the door, or at the front desk. Again, unprofessional. The rest of the staff was lovely however, and I enjoyed our stay.

Negatives: no in room safe, 1st day no room cleaning but to be fair I did have the do not disturb sign out for part of the day; no room cleaning the second day even though I called the front desk & asked, room was cleaned the 3rd day.

Check in took a while, upon check in I was given the wrong style room. I returned to the front desk to inquire why. She said that’s the only room left and apologized. I was then upgraded at no charge. The hotel needs a renovation outside of the lobby. The room was decent for a two day stay. I found a lot of hair on things throughout the room. There were broken entrance doors/ exits. The parking lot was disgusting, there was trash everywhere. The smoking sign made no difference. There was no cleaning done while away. I had to call and ask for towels, the lady was nice.

As usual, the hotel itself is great. Great staff rooms are very clean. Beautiful quiet courtyard. My only complaint is there are no microwaves in the standard rooms. They do have a bar/restaurant there where you can get food however having a microwave in the room would be more convenient. There is one in the lobby, but you have to stand in the corner of the lobby near the front desk and it’s very uncomfortable.

The Bristo/Care was closed in the middle of the day. Not good

We only stayed one night but everything was exceptional. The exercise room was nice and spacious. The breakfast was an additional cost and was provided by Starbucks that was inside the premises. That was a surprise (not necessarily a good one). When I opted to pay for breakfast (which was a good deal by the way) I wish they had mentioned it was provided by Starbucks. Usually when breakfast is mentioned at a hotel, it’s a buffet which my family and I would have preferred. Also, the Starbucks breakfast options were very limited but it was tasty and satisfying.

The property is in ok condition- the major drawback is that the elevator is in the rear corner of the building, making for a very long walk upon check-in. AND, it is very slow. AND, the housekeeping staff use it as well, making getting out upon check-out a competition for its use. Room is small. A good shower, though. All in all, we will probably not return.
