Close to highway so noisy. Clean but needs rehabbed badly. Needs new mattresses and for sure pillows. Would not stay again.

Everyone was very kind at the hotel. Everything was clean. It's obvious that the hotel has seen better days and are in the midst of a facelift so to speak. But even so our stay was perfect.

Location was good. Issues checking in after booking on external website. Needed to sleep before work and received two calls from front desk for a signature. Room had a weird smell.

That being said it is an Econolodge. You are getting a place to sleep while enjoying all the activites of every room near yours. If someone sets their keys on an end table two doors down you WILL hear it. It also is near a main road and will be listening to sirens throughout the night. Nothing is perfect in life its okay for the money when traveling with pets.

Checked in late evening (roughly 11pm) and departed before 7am. Turned in the keys at the front desk. About 7:15, a friendly worker called to see if we meant to return the keys, as we had a second night booked. We hadn't realized, but did mean to turn them in. She said she would leave a message for a manager to follow up with us about cancelling the second night. No one did, so I reached back out. I received a message saying the manager declined a refund. I sent further inquiry and received no response. Disappointing customer service, especially considering the very short stay. The property was clean, somewhat rundown, and under construction in parts. Given the managerial service, I would not recommend, as they seem unlikely to respond kindly to any issues that may arise during your stay.

Guess you get what you pay for. Bed wasn’t comfortable at all with 3 flat pillows. Shower would only get lukewarm. Had no towels in the room. When we called to get towels and rags, staff only brought 2 small towels. My advice is to pay the little bit extra to have a good nights sleep and hot shower.

This hotel is located right by a busy, raised highway. We stayed on the third floor and the noise level was ridiculously bad, even inside the room. It was hard to sleep at night because of the amount of noise. The hallways of the hotel are bright and clean, but the room itself, not so much. Repairs were needed and just done very sloppily and unprofessionally. The breakfast was pretty lame - a couple of types of cereal and a semi-working waffle maker was about the extent (with watered down juices). The beds were very uncomfortable.

I would never stay there again and would not recommend. I wish I could get some kind of refund for the inconveniences, rudeness and not willing to accommodate our needs in a friendly manner.

Econo Lodge was clean and easy to find, close to the freeway. Plenty of gas stations and restaurants nearby. Our room was clean and quiet.

They should have offered a late check out longer than 30 minutes.

The room was dirty. Just overall the hotel looked dirty and not because of the renovations. The elevator was not working. We were staying on the 3rd floor and had to carry everything down ourselves. They just said the elevator stops working often.

People above either were renovating the room or rearranging the furniture all night til after 3:00 am. Staff was nice. Will not stay here again.

My room was absolutely filthy. Everything in the room was grossly dirty except the beds. There was dried vomit on the bathroom door & wall. There was dried urine around the bottom of the toilet. There was hair in the sink, sticky stains on the night stands, crumbs and debri all over the floor from the door to the bathroom. I was beyond disappointed and disgusted. The bedsheet was very clean but had several holes in it. The staff was extremely professional and helpful upon check in but unfortunately I would never stay here again.

The bed was dirty with hair on it, there were ants in the bathroom, and it was obvious the room had not been properly cleaned. On top of that, some of the outlets didn’t work. The entire room felt unsanitary and uncomfortable. I went to the front desk right away to cancel, and they told me they couldn’t switch my room and that I would need to dispute the charge with my bank. I ended up leaving that same night and booking somewhere else. I did not stay here at all. The staff was absolutely horrible. Very disappointing experience.

The staff was very helpful and friendly and I was impressed on how clean and fresh everything was. I am in the area from time to time and look forward to staying again.

Parking was good. I got stuck by the elevator. While i was there the elevator was not in service. I was on the 3rd floor. Made it difficult with luggage.

Stayed here about 4 times over the past 9 months. Always clean and comfortable. For simplicity that is the cheapest but still very comfy and clean I'll come back again soon. They offer a free continental breakfast, but I have yet to check it out. I stay because they are almost half the cost of Holiday Inn and for me just as comfy.

We booked a last minute stay here for a tournament in the area. I wasn’t sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of our room (seems to have been remodeled recently) and the rest of the inside of the Econo Lodge. The continental breakfast was very clean, but there wasn’t a ton of choices. It was mostly yogurt, toasts, cereal, and make your own waffles. All in all, it was a clean and easy stay and worked perfect for our needs.

The staff were pleasant and the spaces were clean, but the overall space is in need of work: crumbling concrete on second floor walkway structure, missing baseboards, rusted drains. Good for a space to lay your head, but nothing I would return to.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament. Kids and bags and every hotel sold out. The staff was extremely kind. They were above and beyong helpful. They let the teens come down late at night and use the hot water in the breakfast area to make ramen. We casually mentioned the microwave wasn't working, they were in the room to fix it in less than 5 minutes and had everything working. I stay at much higher rated hotels but have bever had such friendly service. I would absolutely stay here again.

Overall I've had zero issues. Stayed here 3 times in the past 4 months. It's always been clean and had no issues. For my visits it fits perfect as it's about as cheap as any other hotels and I don't need fancy so it's perfect! They do have free breakfast but I have not tried it yet.

Light outside was filtering through window. Pretty bright, even with black out curtains. Need better curtains to block out light. Had a horrible nights sleep because of the light in room.

We checked in with a very friendly gentleman. Got to our room and had an issue with the bedding. Went back to the desk and he gave us a new room with no problem. The next room had no issues. I mean, the hotel is dated so it's not going to be perfect, but for the cost per night it was just fine! It was clean and comfortable. It was just what we needed for an overnight stay. And it was just a few minutes to the Hard Rock Casino.

We stayed for a week and paid the deposit but have not received it back. We had immediately booked another week right away and was told that we ll would receive the 1st deposit back within 3 days. Well it's been almost a week since we have checked out the 2nd time and still have not received either deposit. Besides that issue, everything else was great!

Older facility, the issue was the guests in the next room very load all night long, outside the door taking smoke breaks and talking so load, also have the door slam shut every 1/2 hour. It was a very poor night's sleep because of this.

The room was clean and comfortable. The Econo Lodge is next to I 94 which made for easy overnight access. Our room was on the back side, and there was no road noise. We parked our car right outside our door. We had our dog with us, and it was easy to use the grassy area across the parking area

Front desk staff at check in was very unpleasant. Spoke to me like i was stupid. I had never stayed at this hotel before and i was asking questions about where things were located and didn't get received well. Will think twice before staying there again.

The temperature in the room, no matter what you set it at, always went back to 61'. By itself. Pillows were hard. I asked for late checkout, instead of 11 checkout at 12N. I am an IHG member and was immediately told no with no reason given. I wanted to explain i worked nights as a nurse and wanted to nap before my 2 hour drive home. And hotel wasnt even busy. Room was decent...paint peeling...chipped doors and furniture. Cable went out, so no tv for 2 hours. Only hot part of breakfast was the make your own waffles. Just not worth the low price to stay...i guess you get what you pay for.

If you have high expectations for breakfast- you will be disappointed. If you are looking for a quality option to stay for the night this is very much worth considering.

My overall stay at the Econo Lodge was satisfactory. The room featured a decently sized television; however, the remote did not allow for input selection, which required me to purchase a universal remote. While there were visible cracks in the sink and shower, the room itself was fairly clean and maintained to a reasonable standard. Considering the price point, the accommodations met expectations — you get what you pay for. The complimentary breakfast was typical for this type of property: simple, but adequate.

The room was in decent overall condition, and it looked like both the interior and exterior had been freshly painted, which was a nice touch. The continental breakfast was standard fare but adequately stocked—nothing fancy, but it did the job. Parking was ample and well-lit, which made us feel secure coming and going. Overall, the property delivered exactly what we expected for the price point. And most importantly—no bugs! That’s always a win in my book.

Room had dead roaches on floor. Guess it’s good they were dead? Bathtub was not clean. Tile in bath was cracked. Toilet paper was the lowest quality money could buy. Two tiny gray bath towels; I can’t imagine the ones they give you in jail are much smaller. Check in is yelling through a bullet-proof glass window and passing your id through a slot like a transaction at the currency exchange. In the bright side, it wasn’t $200/night

The parking was fine we had a clean room and a room with basic cable TV. Yeah everything about the hotel was just very basic nothing special at all . The free continental breakfast was just ok not a lot choices no eggs, no sausage or bagels or anything good just cereal and a toaster for toast and a waffle iron. They also had juice yogurt and coffee of course but that was it. Not much to choose from.

The floors in my room were extremely dirty. I thought it was sticky because it was warm yesterday, but then I looked at my feet after I took a shower and they were discolored. I turned in all the lights and saw just how dirty the floors were. I told them when I checked out and they guy just said “Ok thank you”

Bath outlet did not work-buzzed when you plugged anything in, sent someone to look at it but they said it was working. I have never heard of any outlet buzzing when you plug a curling iron in?

Me an my feance booked a king room here and the first issue was when we went to check in i rang the bell and the front person left me waiting for 5 minutes, then when he finally came up he charged me $50 for a check in fee. Then when we made it to our room the lock on the door was broken and they gave us a different room. The night before we left a junkie walked up to my feance and was aking him if he was with someone else and a bunch of really inappropriate questions when we left the cleaning lady stopped us with a nasty look and asked if we were leaving i think the best part about this place is your able to huck up your gaming system to the tv

When I tried to access the second room, the key didn’t work. I had to go back to the office again, where the manager issued a new key and walked over to make sure it worked. However, when I asked for the new key, the manager responded with, “Do you know the difference between a red light and a green light on a door?” His tone came across as very condescending, which left a negative impression despite his effort to resolve the issue. Once inside the room, I noticed old candy wrappers in the garbage, and the interior looked like it had received the typical “landlord special” — a sloppy paint job with little attention to detail. Outside the room, there seemed to be a large amount of marijuana usage in the surrounding area, which made me feel uncomfortable for much of my stay. The breakfast was also disappointing. It consisted of only cereal, pastries, milk, and water. The juice dispenser was completely empty, and there was no batter available for the waffle maker. Overall, it felt like very little effort was put into providing a decent breakfast.

Older hotel, next to the highway, though noise was not an issue. Lose proximity to drive to Hard Rock Casino. Rooms on 1st and 2nd enter from outside, 3rd floor has indoor access. Check in was through a service window and lobby was closed (7pm) which was uncomfortable and made conversation with desk clerk difficult. Rooms older and could use remodel. Bed comfy. Complimentary breakfast very basic with yogurt, toast, cereal, milk, juice and 1 waffle maker.

It was a decent room. Clean bed but I swear something bite me at least a dozen times while I was sleeping last night. Also the water drainage in the shower needs to be checked.

It was loud all night and early in the morning their workers were up and down the hallway. Also at 1130 at night someone was trying to enter my room they tried myltipul tumes. I had to get up and tell them their was someone in here. Breakfast was plain muffins and ceral. Luckily it was free with points i probably wouldnt stay there again if i had to pay!

I enjoyed my stay at Econo Lodge. As a single female traveler I felt safe and really appreciated getting a first floor room. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. The only complaint I had was whoever was upstairs from me were noisy with walking heavily on the floor. A bit annoying.. otherwise I plan to come back next year when I'm in town. Thank you!

I asked for a room that would be better for a person that was older. Was given a room that had good bathroom safety bars and flexible shower head which both worked well.

A/C wasn't on in room and temp was 84. I could not figure out the wall thermostat. I hadn't needed to do anything previous stay as it was on when I got there. Several calls to desk gave me busy signal so I went back down. I use a walker. He was sitting on the chair with his feet up and immediately said "I told you you could call!" No he did not give me any of the usual instructions when I checked in. Apparently, since I had stayed there once before, a few weeks prior, it wasn't worth his time since the phone call was more important, I guess. When I told him what the issue was, he responded" You were here before!" I explained I hadn't had to deal with it last time as it was already on. He then grabbed a sheet showing the wall thermostat and showed which buttons to use. Perhaps that info would be of more use in the room. As I followed along and repeated the instructions, he became disgusted and angrily said he'd come up to the room. He stormed in, hastily stabbed at the buttons, setting the temp to 61 and then said, "There now you won't be too warm!". Absolutely unacceptable behavior. I am returning to Rockford in a couple months and will definitely not be staying there again.

Front desk was rude when i tried checking in. Gave me attitude. Eventually got it figured out and then they deactivated my room key so i had to go through an entire process to get a new one.

It was ok,not great, no coffee maker in the room,floor was damage,not enough towels,breakfast was poor,instead of a 8.4 rating it should have been 5.8 elevator needs to be updated,needed landscape to be treated an a lot more.

Other than that - nothing else was positive. We got there at 4ish. No one was at the front desk. We rang the bell, it took about 5 minutes for a woman and a teenage boy to came out. No hellos, no smiles, no reception, no eye contact. Just asked if we had reservations. The woman was training the teenager and took a long time processing our payment and room. They did not look up at us. I don't need big fanfare at all but good customer service goes a long way. I am not going back.

I enjoyed my stay in a clean, comfortable stay. Check-in was fast and easy. I liked the carpet-less floors in the rooms. I wish the shower was a bit more powerful, but it was fine. The microwave would sometimes turn off the circuit, but a press of a button, and it worked again. Plenty of outlets for plugging in various items. Lots of lighting options in the room. A comfortable stay. I would stay here again.

Seems like it must have been recently updated. Sink and counters are very nice. Walking distance to a fantastic restaurant called Thunder Bay Grille. I highly recommend after a long day driving.

The lication was perfect for where I needed to be. The hotel is run down with cheap repairs. We found a old, dirty washcloth on top of the shower curtain rail. The towels were barely thicker than the cheap one-ply toilet paper and there was only 2 towels in the room.

We've stayed here twice now for sports events up at Mercyhealth fields. Convenient 10 minute drive if you have early morning games. No issues with hotel. TONS of dining options as well as shopping options if you need stuff. Great location just off the highway. No complaints and would stay here again.

On the weekend we were there, our room cost nearly $200 each. It would have been nice if the breakfast had been a bit more substantial for that price point

The beds were full size, so sharing a bed was not so comfortable. There was no coffee maker in the room. Pillows were uncomfortable.

A very nice facility at a reasonable price. Clean and quiet.

I did not show, I had the wrong date

Comfortable and convenient. Room was clean and easily accessible. Reading about the hotel, it says it has a continental breakfast but it was a minimal grab and go style instead. Not a problem but when that’s what you read, that is what you are looking forward to.

Helpful staff, clean room, comfortable bed, reasonable price

While the room and front desk staff were fine, I absentmindedly left my watch in the bathroom. (Secured around the shower curtain rod). After check out, I realized this and called later that evening. No one had checked in, so Front desk checked the room. She didn’t find the watch, and said the maintenance staff had not found it. She said she could not accuse the staff — that nothing like this has ever happened. But, I can blame them. And, I do.

Friendly people, needs update but good for the price. Beds are comfortable. Safe place.
