While the hotel was clean and comfortable, I was woken up at 130 in the morning by someone having a party and slamming doors/ being loud in the hallway for at least an hour. Maybe not the best place to stay being so close to the casino.

Nice, clean property that’s just a little bit worn. If you like waffles, you’ll like the breakfast. If you’re looking for protein, the egg bites (that you warm up in the microwave) taste better than they look. The woman who was overseeing the breakfast area kept it clean and well-stocked. If you like an extremely firm mattress (hard), this is your kind of place. The king-bed suite was spacious.

Nice hotel with nice rooms and friendly staff. There is a small amount of noise from truckers using air brakes on a newrby road, but not too bad. We were underwhelmed with breakfast selections. Generally a nice hotel and I would likely return.

The room was very clean and a great stop while passing through the area.

Room and public spaces were very clean, although basic. Breakfast was ok, again very basic. I went at a high-demand time, so price was quite high, and consequently it did not feel like a great deal. If room price were under a hundred I would have been completely satisfied.

For this price per night, the bedding and towels were great. Everything else was just adequate. Breakfast was pretty minimal - the best part of it was the sugar-free syrup for waffles. The sink faucet was an extremely outdated, annoying Moen design that had to be pulled out to get water.

Not real fancy but very clean, friendly and a great quiet stay with great prices.

Unless you count yogurt, breakfast had no protein...no eggs, no meat. Instant coffee in buffet just as bad as packets in the room. Otis Spunkmeyer muffins. Only fresh fruit was oranges. Heard one older gentleman say, "they couldn't even throw me a sausage!" The sink faucet in room need two hands and a hard pull to turn on. Loose riser on second floor riser significant safety hazard. Upside, room was very clean.

Breakfast options were good - cereal, bagels, toast, yogurt, fresh waffles and of course, coffee. Breakfast area kept clean and tidy. Rooms were quiet & clean with comfortable beds. Within walking distance to Hard Rock Casino. All the staff we encountered were very nice. I'd stay here again & would recommend it without hesitation. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

The room was adequate but not outstanding. The bathroom was like a closet. To wash your hands and brush your teeth, you had to walk across the entryway. The breakfast was okay, but the person assigned to the breakfast area was grumpy and unfriendly. We didn't feel exactly welcome.

Rooms are well appointed. Good shower water pressure. Beds quite comfortable. The breakfast was disappointing as they have removed better protein foods such as eggs / bacon / sausage and only provide high carb and high sugar foods such as waffles, muffins. Coffee machine and quality of coffee was not great, however, that morning they were bringing in a new machine.

Otherwise the hotel was a good bargain.

Right off 90, very convenient after a long drive. Clean and room had everything, comfy beds, microwave, coffee machine, refrig and shampoo etc. Waffles for breakfast were delicious, plus many other offerings.

There were so many kids yelling and running through the halls. On boy crank called our room twice. In the morning the pool was unavailable. The kids were loud pretty late.

Astro I stayed in on a 3 Day Rd. trip home. Because it was so mild outside. It would’ve been lovely to have an outside sitting area, but that probably doesn’t happen very often.

However, the property itself does not reflect the quality of the staff or the Wyndham brand. The hotel is extremely dated and in clear need of significant renovation and modernization. With proper investment and updates, this property has the potential to be a very nice hotel, but in its current condition it feels tired and overdue for improvement. One area that absolutely must be addressed is the coffee and coffee machine. The coffee was, without exaggeration, some of the worst coffee I have ever had in a hotel, and the machine itself appears very old and in need of replacement. This is a small but very noticeable detail that greatly impacts the guest experience. Wyndham is very fortunate to have such a strong team of employees at this location. They are doing an excellent job with what they have. Now the company needs to support them by investing in the property, updating the facilities, and bringing the hotel up to the standard that both the staff and guests deserve. With renovations and upgrades, this property could be greatly improved. The people are already excellent now the building needs to match people.

A bit threadbare

I would not stay here again. The room we had was directly across from the elevator and we were awoken a few times from people bumping into our door. Had to be the worst room in the hotel

Facility was average. Fire alarm went off twice in the night but was told it was a glitch.

Needs updating. The doors to the room are flimsy so the rooms can easily be broken into. The only choices for breakfast are cereal and waffles so plan to eat at the Cracker Barrel next door.

I got sick due to an allergy reaction from the room. I don’t know what it was about. I couldn’t breathe I broke out in hives so I had to leave the location so I made a call to Expedia speaking to a representative in a representative told me that she could not reimburse me. I had to ask the front desk at the hotel. I asked the people at the front desk. They said that the manager would have to approve the refund and I did not get a call back from the manager, so I called the manager on Sunday morning and a manager told me they will not refund me because I was in the room for more than two hours. it was a horrible experience. I could not even open my eyes. Front desk said that it’s probably because the room hasn’t been clean thoroughly for a dust in allergens. The manager also told me that the one reason they did not refund me and they won’t refund me is because they had to make do some cleaning in the room because you could tell that we was in the room.

It is December 26-27, and I had to turn the air conditioning (at 69*) on in my room because it was so hot.

They provide the laundry detergent and dryer sheet. A dollar each for the washer and dryer and it was dry within the time frame. Breakfast was very delicious and a huge variety. The rooms were very clean, Very courteous and kind staff. The pool was not available so that was a bit disappointing.; otherwise it was absolutely wonderful.

Went to breakfast at 8:45 am and were told no more breakfast sausage as they all ready put out their daily allotment. What hotel does that?

The room was good. Paige the desk operator was helpful, and was a good representative for late at night, Tuesday 12/2 my cat went to vet early am. My room key did not work (not on purpose!?) I came back, made sure to put tag up not to disturb. I d go peered and had to get ready and leave. Left tag up. I came back and The room was entered and cleaned. Nothing was missing, I felt violated and unable to relax. Supposedly an accident?! Nope, with both occurs g it indicated my room was to be released and not rented 2nd day. Sorry really not comfortable with that happening, have stayed at Baymont before, but may not use agoin.

Room had a weird smell, bed linen was not clean, there was BLOOD droplets on the side of the bed sheets/mattress cover. Changed rooms after I was offered the opportunity to change my own bed at 11:00 pm. New room had NO HOT water in the sink. However bedding was clean and smelled fresh. Was offended that the app offered me a chance to tip after all of this happened.

My car dash lights came on during my visit to Rockford and they allowed me to leave my car for towing, even facilitated that by keeping my keys safely at front desk so i wouldn't have to leave car unlocked with keys in. Also they upgraded my room at no charge when first room smelled a bit musty at no charge , since that would have triggered my asthma. Breakfast was very good as well. Thanks to staff at facility for a very accommodating stay.

This is a decent place to stay. I have stayed there twice now and was good with both times. Next to a few gas stations so we were able to grab energy drinks in the morning and snacks throughout the day. It’s right off the highway and the pool is warm and clean. I will probably stay there again the next time I go to Rockford. And I forgot to mention that the casino is across the street within walking distance so you don’t have to worry about driving. I didn’t get to go there this time but defiantly will next time.

We have stayed at this hotel every so often over the past 10 years. It's always been reasonably priced and quite comfortable; a reliable option for a half-way break in our long trip. They have been renovating to keep things fresh - new flooring in the halls and rooms really helps. The breakfast is good - would be perfect if they had oatmeal.

The first room smelled so bad of urine, it made your eyes water. They did give us another room which was way better but still smelled of urine. The staff is nice

We were pleased with our choice to stay at Baymont for 2 nites. Yes, the room's carpet could br cleaner. The bathroom floor also needed more care. Overall, 5* places suffer some faults. The Friday checkin young lady was less than cordial. Quite abrupt to say the least. You only have one chance to make a good first impression. She failed!

Didnt get much sleep due to another guest leaving all night and letting their dog continuously bark. Probably shouldn't bring a pet if your going to be gone :(

We enjoyed the water park, breakfast & having 3 TV's in our room.

Staff was rude

Rooms were cleaned everyday for the 3 days i spent. breakfast was always hot and refilled regularly. Kudos to the housekeeping, it was way better than the last time i was here. Hoping that there can be an upgrade to the overall facility. Had to take the stairs a couple of times when the elevator was busy, the stairs area needs to be cleaned regularly. Also ice machine on the 3rd floor did not work all through my stay. Overall, it was worth every penny and i enjoyed my stay.

We are repeat customers. Just a great place to land.

Clean - god breakfast

Rooms were nice, but the reason for my review was the 3 tiny pillow on the beds. Not 4, but 3 of the smallest pillows ever

This is an excellent hotel. I travel a lot with a cat and I often get put in a “dog” room. I can tell by the strong smell of fragrance they use to treat the air. It seems to be an industry standard. I recommend they try something more natural. This stuff is a turn off.

Room was nice

I was a little nervous because of the great price, but was pleasantly surprised and will always book here when in Rockford. The room was immaculate with fresh clean bedding and towels. The shower was great with hot, hot water and strong pressure. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice breakfast spread. Delicious coffee. All around a great stay.

Nice, clean and a bit old-stile hotel. The old style air conditioners and fans in the restroom are noisier than newer equipment but nothing dramatic

Clean comfortable room. Breakfast was nice well stocked. My only complaint was the noise from above. Wishing when a hotel is not full that they don’t put people above each other. I know this can’t always be done but lots of early noise from above.

Thoughtful to have my room next to stairway for easy access to let me dog outside. I didn't see a dog walk area. The stairway carpet needed vacuuming. The room was clean. Good enough for a one night stay while traveling.

We were notified of a window replacement happening in our room the next morning which occurred at 7am. Our sleep was shortened considerably by this early work. We requested a refund but management only gave us $40. The response was defensive. If only they had notified us about the work prior to check in- we would have found a different hotel. Very disappointed.

Comfortable beds, clean bathroom, cold AC, nice breakfast selection including hot offerings (eggs, waffles, sausage, etc.), condition of the hallways had me worried but the room itself was good

The Room was immaculate including the carpeting, drapes, and bathroom. Felt brand new! Fantastic Breakfast with so many options, including gluten-free ones.

The washing machines need to be cleaned. Look behind the door gaskets, mold and slime. The dryer lint traps won't go all the way down because of lint at bottom of vent. No guide on tv. Wall outlet next to sink doesn't work. Room cleanliness excellant. Other than that all else just fine.

Better staff. Hotel has been renovated. Way better. Price was perfect.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed for an overnight stay on the way to another destination. Breakfast was pretty good staff was great and overall it was a nice stay.

Good quality hotel and people

Booked non-smoking room and it smelled like smoke. Old ac/heating unit needs updating. Decor was dated.

It is one walking block away from the Hard rock Casino in Rockford. They have several 24 hours travel stops within the same radius of hotel. Self service laundry available on-site. I'll definitely stay there, again.

We liked everything about Baymont. Everything is always good. Staff is friendly. There was nothing to dislike

The hotel was quite comfortable and was within distance to places we needed to travel to for our baseball team. Many places to dine and shop at within a mile or two.

Great place to stay

This hotel gets a higher score because of the location. Tucked in just off the interstate, close to the casino and restaurants. Bed was a king, somewhat comfortable. Bathroom was smaller and has outdated fixtures, but they work. Breakfast was average. Biggest downfall is the ongoing construction/maintenance to the hotel. Nothing like being woken up at 7:45am to pounding and banging from outside. Then there was a guy on a lift right in front our window on the 4th floor. Website should indicate ongoing construction so people know, we did not until we saw the tiny sign in the lobby.

Breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, yoghurt, king-sized oranges, and multiple coffee choices and cereal choices! We will stop here again.

Didn’t use the pool so can’t say about that (it looked nice) but otherwise no complaints about anything. Everything was pretty nice, as expected. Decent area, not far from many restaurants, shopping, movie theater, casino, Hard Rock Cafe, waterpark. Not far from the highway.

Room sheets and bedding were clean, the rest not so much. My room must have had a hole in the front wall somewhere as bugs, flies etc were getting in. There was a strong odor in the room from a room freshener, however this did nothing to cover the smell of wet pets and possible mold. I woke up at 2 am and booked a room at another hotel, cutting my stay short by one night. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

The rooms were spacious. The free breakfast had many options and the eggs & sausage were tasty.

We stayed here after losing power during a storm and were pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious with a large TV, and while we didn’t get to use the pool, it appeared very clean and well-kept. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, which was a nice bonus. The only drawback was not being informed about the $100 deposit until after booking.

Sign in room says clean every three days sheets in my room for 9 days got changed once because I had to ask after four days

Close to shopping and easy to get to

The room was fine. Breakfast typical hotel post-Covid fake eggs & waffles. I appreciated being able to check in & out on my phone. The pool area is moldy & gross. Very hot in there so if you’re not swimming it gets to be too hot to stay in there. The pool itself seemed clean & my family otherwise enjoyed it.

Everything was great, very clean and accommodating. Plenty of restaurants in the area.

The staff was excellent, breakfast so good, and conveniently located off highway.

This property was worn and run down. The carpet was dirty. The bathtub was very slippery and did not drain. No hand rails. There were no eggs at breakfast and the trash was overflowing. Will not stay here again or maybe not at any Windham.

Wonderful hotel for the price. The staff was friendly and helpfu. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms. The carpet in the hallway in front of our first floor room had a bad stain, but the rooms were great. Nice breakfast. The typical instant scrambled eggs were a strange consistency, and the oj was not quite ok, but the bacon, sausage, and waffles were good.

The hotel is very basic, and my room was clean. However, the room was wet. Everything was damp, towels didn’t dry, I had to dry out all my belongings when I got home. The carpet in the room was gross. It made me feel like there is a lot of mold growing under there. I imagine it’s not like that in the cooler months. Price was high for what it was. Close to the new casino which is probably why they can charge that price.

It’s a very nice hotel however, the bathroom tub is old and small, but it was very clean and the tub was very slippery but it is a nice hotel

We got a handicap room with 1 Queen bed. Bathroom need repairs. Smelled musky. Breakfast didn't have much. Coffee machine and waffle machine were nice that was about it.

The carpet on the 4th floor is beyond dirty. Please replace it!! Not the person who checked us in but I called at 5:45pm to inform the hotel we were running late and the woman I spoke with was very rude. She needs some customer service training
