    The best thing about this property was that it was close to my daughter’s storage unit. If not for that I would’ve found another place to stay. First I tried to call several times to inform them that I would be late due to flight delays but nobody ever answered the phone and I wasn’t given the option to leave a message. Upon arrival their system was down and they said they couldn’t check anybody in but somehow they managed to but they didn’t have the room I reserved so they put me in a smaller room with a promise to move me to the correct room once one was cleaned but that never happened. I didn’t have the promised coffee pot and the burners didn’t work which I found out when I begged for a pot to boil water so only the microwave was functional. Then there was the chirping of the smoke detector that went away for a very short time (not even 1 night) even after the battery was changed. Now they have the nerve to try to charge me for what I reserved after I have checked out. In addition there are no drain covers in the sink so you can see all the hair stuck down there and the water doesn’t even get hot. The furniture is all damaged and the curtains cover the vent for the a/c and heat so if you don’t move them the air is directed towards the window. Motel 6 properties used to be a good reliable deal but it seems that the 2 in Rochester are owned by the same person who is just letting them fall apart. I won’t be back!

    I spent two hours online trying to find another place to stay and the cheapest place was $400 which is way above my budget. I ended up driving 30 miles away to stay at an old roadside motel, which has not been upgraded in at least 50 years except for a flatscreen TV. Needless to say, I am pissed off’

    Upon arrival the computer system was down and our booking could not be processed. Not the fault of staff but the problem with the digital age is no back up system like credit card machines in the past, or even taking cash ! We were left with leaving town because every other hotel was booked.

    The service was terrible I never got my rags and towels. There was food left in the fridge. I seen a roach. I’m hustling not happy about this place, I had talked to two separate people about my rags and towels both said I’d receive them. I had to use the pillow cases to dry off. Luckily I brought a rag.

    The hotel was very busy, loud, and crowded. The room that I booked was not available and I wasn’t properly accommodated so I asked to cancel the reservation with no charge/fee since I was not responsible for the hotel not having the room. In turn I had to struggle to find somewhere else to stay during the duration of my visit to Rochester . I also checked my bank account and see that I was charged a fee even though I was told that I would not be charged. I am upset

    Hotel was closed down by the local fire marshal. I was turned away as they said they couldn't offer a room. I eventually had to stay with family and when I called to get credit & make sure my money paid was returned to my credit card I was on the phone for 90 minutes with Expedia....1 1/2 hours!! exactly...no over-dramatization. ..This even though they refused me a room.

    The TV finally got fix, I didn't like check in, waited about 20 minutes or longer. no ice machine, used soap in the shower, wash cloth and towels had big black spots, dirty or old worn towels. crumbs and trash along the walls

    I went to check in around 7 pm and they didn't have any rooms available. Many other people were coming in with reservations and were being told they over booked after being ignored for awhile. I couldn't stay there and they charged me anyway. Scam

    I didn't stay there I was told to leave when I arrived and no rooms for me. The fire alarm was going off. Someone was working on the fire alarm control panel I didn't like booking a room to be turned away when I arrived. I didn't like being told I didn't have a room to later be charged as a no show.     building was run down..expensive for that value..the carpets were not cleamed..tonnes of black hair on my feet that even when i wiped my feet..heeps of dirt n hair where attached to my feet.. and I am a blonde. would be nice to have basic utencils for the kitchen..and couldnt use the stove cuz i didnt have a match didnt have shampoo ..have to bring your own

Also the smell down the hallway of cigarettes and marijuana was too much for us. There was no communication ahead of time about the hotel being closed by the city and studio 6 buying it the week of our stay. There were only 4 staff who were not being backed by leadership or owners. The staff did all they could working 16hr days and still could not keep up with the maintenance reasons it had closed or the cleaning. One of our rooms could never get keys that worked. We booked a king bed and a room with 2 doubles. Both were switched to single queen rooms because that’s all the staff could get to within their limitations. I feel studio 6 has failed those 4 staff members and all of its guests at this time.

    i contacted hotels.com customer service- when i arrived at the time i indicated on my reservation- noone was at the desk , a large sjgn was posted that said " we have no rooms- we are full". There was a phone # listed for emergencies- i called it X3, my call was dropped each time. I waited 20 minutes and no one showed up, then i left. I contacted hotels.com and are awaiting a refund. i was appalled by this establishment.

    Our room was clean, there were virtually no amenities; outside the weekdays during the first shift, there is no staff visible to service customers- problems don’t get resolved until the next morning- maybe; scratching inside the wall (some kind of animal; LASTLY AND NOT THE LEAST- WE HAVE AT LEAST ONE OR MORE MICE IN OUR ROOM- NO STAFF WAS AVAILABLE TO REPORT IT, SPOTTED ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON & SUNDAY.     Yes. The kitchen area was ok. There was no cold water, the toilet wouldn't fill up. My daughter and I had to use a bucket to refill it. Also, people left bags of trash outside the Trash Room. As of next week, this establishment will no longer be in business. I feel terrible for the guests and the staff. Thank you.

    This place is absolutely disgusting. Dirty and rundown. Leaking pipes from the ceilings causing lights to flicker. A lot of dogs that urinate on the walls. This place used to be great until it was taken over now. It might be the worst hotel I have ever been in. It is not family friendly. It is not clean. I will say the front staff was great about refunding my money so I could go elsewhere.

    There were random people standing outside the property smoking weed. While I understand that it’s legal, it doesn’t create a good first impression when you’re pulling up to check in. It made the environment feel unwelcoming and poorly managed. The condition of the property also raised concerns. The garbage area in the back looked like it hadn’t been maintained in weeks, with trash scattered all over. It gave the impression that basic upkeep isn’t a priority. At check-in, I was surprised to be charged an additional utilities fee. I understand that costs like RG&E have gone up, but passing that expense directly onto guests without clear communication beforehand felt unreasonable. Safety was another issue. The emergency exit stairwells were not properly lit, which is a serious concern in case of an emergency. The room itself wasn’t the cleanest, but we made do. However, someone was smoking cigarettes throughout the night, and the smell gave me a headache and made it hard to rest. Overall, this was not a good experience, and I would not recommend this property.

    Room condition was not great. Bathroom door handle was falling off so door didn’t latch. The kitchen hood fan had a sign on it indicating to open a window if you cooked. Very warm at first, but we were able to turn the furnace down. Some rowdy neighbors in the hall. Also the outside entrances from the parking lot had key slots but were just unlocked all night so anyone could come in and out.

    There were no amenties in the room. Not even a coffee maker. Small sign that i saw in the morning that said you needed to get it from the front desk. Too late. The remote didnt work and had extreme difficult in switching the tub to shower. Only got it half way. Clean but very shabby. Obvious that NO MONEY is going back to structural upkeep. One luggage handler i saw was broken.

    The place was really quiet. That was a plus. The only thing that cought my attention was that the hallway floors and stairs where dirty. The stairwell had trash bags the same ones since i stayed thier the 5 days. The lady in front desk never got her name but had a heart chain she was amazing, friendly very atentive.

    When you first walk into the door down a little bit from the front desk, the wall fan is broken, taken apart and super dirty. Not a great first impression. The receptionist told me multiple times it’s a no smoking room even though the whole place smelled like weed, even by the front desk. Walking down the hall and into the room itself smelled like weed and cigarettes. Then the room itself looked like a rundown motel… windows were broken, latches sitting on top of the windowsill, it was cold because the windows were broken and couldn’t close all the way. (It was snowing outside) I inspected the mattress for bugs and found 3 of them. There was trash on the floor under the tables and hair on the sheets. Absolutely disgusting. Then as we were deciding our next move, what sounded like a rat or a small animal was crawling in the ceiling. We immediately packed our things back into the car and asked for a refund. We were told the manager would call us the next day. They didn’t- I called and they did agree to refund but I haven’t seen it yet. After going to the hotel right next door, they let us know it is a very well known place where quality is below poor. Don’t stay here unless you’re ok with dirtiness and bugs.

    When we checked in, we were told all double bed rooms were sold out, when I booked one two days prior to our arrival. They gave us a single room, couldn't comp an additional single room for us, and my wife slept on the floor while I shared the bed with my grandmother. Slept on the floor with towels and an extra pillow given to us. Such a joke!!! Bed sheets, pillows and room smelt like smoke. Hallways to rooms are very sketchy. Neighbors were loud; running up and down the hallway until 2am. Advertised "grab n go breakfast" was an absolute joke, with two bags of heat up oatmeal available with nothing else. Vending machines was not stocked and things were out of order. Water was $4!!!

    The staff was friendly but the building was filthy. Dog excrement on the hallway rug for a day and a half, floors in the room were extremely sticky, there was half a bottle of Pepsi in the refrigerator, the smoke detector was wrapped in plastic, the rooms smells stale and dank, trash outside the building, toilet handle can off(luckily I was able to put it back on), toilet didn’t flush, I can only assume the chain broke. It was not a good experience, we only stayed out of necessity.

    Confusing lay out of buildings, no lobby this way signage anywhere. Park your car and good luck finding that same entrance door. Neither lamp worked in room which i reported 1st night. Nothing done our 2 night stay. Left with harsh fluorescent overheads. Refrigerator door either rusty or moldy didnt use it. The heat/AC unit whistled then sounded like a turbine. The bed was clean, comfortable. The bathroom clean, stocked. It was quiet enough.

    Me and my son checked in around 9:30.That evening when grabbed some dinner grabbed a few other things.Probably got back to the room like 10:40 / 11:00 like about 2:30 in the morning somebody pulled the fire alarm that went off from two thirty to about four the front desk wasn't able to turn it off. The fired apartment took their sweet precious time. If it was an emergency, we would have been burned down. And despite all that , I wasn't able to get my money back ended up with fifty percent credit , and I was only at the hotel forb4 hours before this incident happened

    Check in was easy. The first one they put me in. Apparently the manager decided they didn’t want anybody on the first floor so they switched my room out and I got up to the room and I couldn’t get the door to lock so I went back downstairs to get a different room they gave me a different room. Everything was good with that room it was clean— Staff is always helpful and politethere.

    It was horrible. Loud smoky very active. I've stayed here before and it was nothing like this visit. I definitely wont be staying again. One man had his dog free. I'm not a dog person. I had to let him know that just because you are comfortable with your dog doesn't mean that I am.

    Good luck flushing the toilet. Overall, this property was ok. Not bad, not good...middling. It was quite clean so kudos for that. The TV works and the staff is good. But note that it is quite worn down. I think it's mostly for long term construction workers and that type of guest, so nothing fancy but a roof when needed. However, the button to flush the toilet is on top of the tank and some goofball built a vanity shelf over the tank with about an inch, if that, to get your finger in. It's ridiculous.

    Walking to the main entrance. Several guests outside the door smoking. Get inside. Waited for what felt like forever for someone to come to the desk so i could check in. As im walking to my room the hallway smelled like mildew and smoke. Get into my room. The condition of the room was run down and ran through. The kitchen was especially in poor condition. The toilet water had black flakes floating in it. The room smelled old, and like smoke like the rest off the building. I should have left but i was so tired from traveling. I told myself just get through the night. I got up from laying in the bed. Big black spider in the spot i was laying in. It must have crawled from under a pillow. The next morning i dropped my keys in the box AT 9AM cause nobody is at the desk as usual and i went about my day. TELL ME WHY!!!!! They changed me for late check out after 11am!! I left at 9am ! It is not my fault you check the little key box after 11! If the key already in there at 11 that meant i BEEN put it in there BEFORE 11! I told the manager to check the camera and see my Walking out at 9! ANDDD !! They charged me for over $100 and kept my deposit talmbout i smoked in the room!! I dont smoke ANYTHING or my friend that stopped by to see me. I told the manager your whole building STANKKKk of weed and cigarettes! Charge EVERYONE then! Myself nor my friend did that. Plus, down the hall from me im watching a jump out POLICE team raid a room!!!! DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

I've stayed at an extended stay inn before and had a good experience, THIS stay however, was the complete opposite and we did everything possible to avoid spending excessive time in the hotel due to the terrible condition.

    Overall, the stay was ok. Our room was not ready at the 3pm check-in time which threw off our evening's timetable. Later, the remote control for the TV did not work and it was hard to find staff to take care of the situation. (We ended up getting it resolved the next morning). "Take-away" breakfast was only so-so, but the coffee was strong at least. Comfortable, clean room and bed, nice shower, but nothing exceptional.

    Room was absolutely bare.... if you wanted dishes or even a dishtowel you had to request it and go pick it up. No ice machine and ice trays were empty. Both lamps in the sleeping area were not working and didn't get fixed after multiple requests to change the bulb. A 6 am fire alarm and a non-functional remote control were just some of the benefits. I've stayed at other Extended Stays and been very happy. Breakfast "bar" was coffee, hot water, and a few granola bars and packaged granola. Not even any real creamer.

    Lighting good, lots of plugs, refrigerator worked well and clean inside. Dishes in good shape, but pans were severely scratched. Shower was clean, and water was hot. Beds were comfortable. Floor dirty, sticky, and gritty, plus dried food stuck to floors (I cleaned dried food up with my paper towels, they do not provide paper towels). Dried food stuck to counter top (I cleaned this too). Outside of refrigerator had smears on it, inside cabinets and drawers had smeared dried food. There was room for a table and chairs, but no table. 1 person ate at desk and the other at the kitchen counter.

    Most of the hotel room doors have a crack between the door and the frame that you can look through and see the bathroom inside! A lot of loud, strange people were walking around and standing outside all the exits and in the parking lot. We were given a room on the first floor and the noise above us was so loud, it shook the walls. The shower fixture was broken and the sink drain had no cover so all you could see was the plethora of matted hair and gunk in the drain. The stove top light was on constantly and the screen above it was bent and falling off. The floor was dirty and a light fixture on the ceiling had no covering; just an exposed bulb. The cover sheets were just two thin sheets on top of each other. After complaining to the front desk and getting no help, I called again and asked for a refund because there was no way we could sleep comfortably here. The front desk said she would refund me but “it’ll take a few days.” I don’t even know if I’ll get my money back. She wasn’t even at the front desk when we left, but there was a gentleman who was obviously under the influence standing there waiting, so I just grabbed my daughter and left the premises as quickly as we could! I pray we get our money back!

    I needed to use internet during my stay and it was the dropping constantly. It dropped even when I was trying to upgrade my internet speed. I used my cellphone to have a reliable internet connection. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The grab and go breakfast was good. Cleanness was ok, however, there's some room for improvement. One of my towels was dirty. It was great to have a small kitchen, the fridge and sink were helpful.

    The bathtub had hair all over, the garbage cans were nasty. The rod for the curtains were duct taped to the curtains, the vinyl on the counter/desk was half off. The dressers was uneven had oil spills and a lot of scribbled pen marks, the phone in the room was even nasty like brown and it was suppose to be tan or white who knows. The refrigerator was disgusting, carpet had stains. Burn marks throughout the room including the bathroom. Even the hangers in yhe closet were dirts the chairs had food stuck on them. The inside of the microwave was extremely nasty. It was terrible the lock on the door didnt even line up to lock we had to use a latch. Smelled like cigarettes and weed. Like we knew when the neighbors were smoking. Someones dog pooped and peed right outfront the door we uses to get in and out. It was an awful experience. We also asked for dishes to be sent to our room and was told they were being sanitized but never came throughtout the entire stay! I didnt even bother calling back. Never again

    I want thank Jo Jo for giving an amazing customer service and sympathizing due to circumstances . She made it her business to ensure I had a room to stay that unexpected night I needed ! There are no words to express my gratitude . Daina was another 10 star associate she ensured I was taken care of and that my room accommodations were met . You need more people like them in this world they’re a great asset to your company ! I hope that they get rewarded somehow because of them I will definitely book a stay there whenever need be . There were two other ladies that helped me but I can’t remember their names because I only dealt with them once unlike the other two girls I mentioned I dealt with them more. I do think this place needs to get rid of the inconsiderate occupants and the smoking in that building . My child had to experience that smell everyday which is unacceptable . It almost doesn’t feel safe to stay there anymore . The police were there everyday unusual for a hotel to have ..

    The one positive- location was fantastic! Negatives— room had cigarettes burns in the carpet and smelled so bad we had to go buy fabreeze to just be able to sleep there. There was a homeless person sleeping in an empty hallway. The front desk person gave me a room key (after mine stopped working) without any ID or proof that I was a guest at the hotel. I could have come in off the street, made up a room number, and have complete access to that room. Ton of people outside the front door smoking (in front of the no smoking sign). Just felt really unsafe the entire time we were there.

    This was more like a homeless shelter than a hotel. People live there full time, so at times the smell and the noise was intolerable. I stayed 6 nights, there is no room service unless you stay longer than 2 weeks. Had to ask daily for a roll of toilet paper, and used the same towels for 6 nights. Front desk attendants were nice, for the most part.

    Didn’t really like anything. Maybe the fact that I didn’t see any bed bugs? There are people who definitely live there…and not just for an extended stay. I get that it’s a 2 star hotel. But the whole property needs a makeover, people smoking weed in their rooms, it’s fills up the entire floor, kids running everywhere around the hallways, the kitchenette area was absolutely disgusting, and there’s no breakfast- but I wouldn’t have eaten it anyways…

    I had to wait for more than half an hour, along with other guests, for someone to come to the front desk. It was in the evening, not late at night, and while patient, I was not comfortable with one irate guest, who was already staying in the motel, banging on things in the lobby to get attention. If I hadn't paid online and it said non-refundable I'd have gone elsewhere. The place itself was fine otherwise.

    It was advertised as a really nice Place with adequate amenities. I rented a suite with pretty much no furniture no pots and pans no silverware. They charge me 40 bucks to wash a set of sheets when I had an accident on them. No housekeeping at all. They had to go out and buy a shower chair for me. Very low class hotel.

    Comfortable bed, but avoid this hotel if you can. Very dim lighting throughout the building, not very clean, broken furniture, and there was a musky mildew smell. I have been staying with Extended Stay America for years and have noticed a dramatic decline in quality but this is a the absolute worst I have seen. Absolutely NOT worth the cost.

    Every night there were people outside that sounded like they were fighting, being noisy and obnoxious. The place was a lottle outdated, which really is not a big deal. In my room, the sink leaked, and so did the fridge. The carpet was sticky, and what ever was on in stuck to your feet or shoes. Which was nasty.

    Not a real breakfast as described on website: it was just coffee and snacks, even not provide milk. In bathroom, there was no shampoo, just a small piece of soap. In bedroom, the lamp between two beds was not working. There were no power sockets around beds and table, so that we had to unplug the power of digit clock or TV to charge our cell phones. One of legs was almost broken, that supported the table. There were some visible stains in bed sheets. Overall, it is a terrible experience.

    During my entire stay, no one came to clean my room. Even though I told them several times, they told me that I was on the list and that they would come the next day, but they never did. I had to take care of cleaning the room myself. They didn't take out the trash or bring bags or supplies. Even though it says that you can't smoke inside, it always stank of marijuana.

    Nice staff, good enough property but it was gross. The floors felt sticky and wet almost, my feet were black from walking on them for a few minutes, the headboard had kids’ drawings all over it, there was hair on my towels, the sheets had a couple of stains, etc. if you’re looking for a really clean place, this isn’t the choice.

    Staff are unprofessional and treat customers like crap. Rooms are filthy and equipment is in lousy condition (fridges leak and staff don’t care about fall risks of handicap customers, hair dryer over sink had cord chewed off!). They only “guarantee a bed” not a room type, which is problematic if you need a handicap room. Management complained when they were asked to discount the regular room when the handicap room was unavailable. Management also complained when reasonable ask of providing dishes and towels to room were expected by handicap customers.

    I don’t like that the old GM has walked into my room before checkout time to check with us if we are staying longer when I already paid through Expedia. I’m pretty sure you’re not aloud to walk into a room especially before checkout time. She has also called the room at 1:30 am twice and then came to room and knocked to wake us up on purpose because she didn’t do her job and replace the room with multiple problems that was addressed when it was booked on first day. The old GM just recently stepped down should be talked to for these horrible actions and we should be given something for it but instead we just keep getting harassed because the staff here doesn’t do there job correctly and she talks over you after the mistake has been made nothing was done correctly about the poor communication and horrible hotel accommodations . I’m pretty sure everyone I’ve talked to can’t stand the staff or the hotel as a whole. I’m stuck here because of my temporary life situation but rest assured I’m going to get something for my troubles and expensive living at a less than 1 star hotel. No way should they be charging 600$ a week for this place. It’s absurd

    Convenient and good price; Front desk woman was friendly but I waited about 10-15 to be noticed waiting to check in and I observed other guests standing for long periods waiting for someone to be at the counter; verbalizing their aggravation at how long they were waiting. I needed something a couple of times during my stay and each time had to stand waiting for a period of time that is not comparable to any other place I’ve stayed. I doubt I’d stay here again.

    Crack heads in and out all day all night. Dirty,room was dirty,hallways smelled foul for days,doors not secure,no garbage cans in site anywhere,trash everywhere.
