The property has been restored and is quite nice. Breakfast is amazing!
- 5/5
Breakfast is not complimentary. Too many electric charging stations taking up front parking. Room was clean.
- 5/5
Nice clean room, delicious buffet style breakfast, super friendly staff
- 5/5
Lindsay and Christy are amazing!!! When I first got there I was greeted by Lindsay. She helped me book my room after a failed booking at another location. She was super nice and helpful! As for Christy, she is such a personal person, super kind and friendly! These two ladies are the reason I would go back and stay there.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the room was comfortable. All of the staff were extremely kind. I do not eat breakfast at hotels unless I know I am not going to be able to eat for awhile. This breakfast was the best breakfast I have EVER EATEN at a hotel. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. They eggs were real and not from a carton. The manager was super engaging and friendly with everyone that came through the door.
- 5/5
The hotel itself is not updated.

The property could use some maintenance, but the staff was incredibly friendly (seriously, they knew my name when I was walking down the hall) and the place was very clean. Breakfast was great as well. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
The eggs at breakfast were inedible, the rest was amazing. Nice staff. Clean room. Just avoid the eggs
- 5/5
We were sad they no longer provided breakfast.

Check in : I waited at the counter while staff were outside smoking. I must have waited at least ten minutes to check in. Facility was clean for the most part. Quiet

Un attentive staff and very unhelpful. There were language barriers and extremely unhelpful or willing.
- 4/5
We stayed there for a night. The location is very good, close to a lot of restaurants. The breakfast was good. The front desk staff helped me check in an hour early which was very helpful.
- 4/5
The room was generally clean. Breakfast is not free, charging $12 per person.
- 5/5
Excellent staff at every interaction. Excellent breakfast. The man running the breakfast is very welcoming and kind. There’s bacon every morning. The hotel is near many restaurants. Clean up to date hotel in a very convenient location. We will stay here again the next time we visit Rochester.
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff! Only issue we had was with the keurig in the room, but other than that all was as expected!
- 4/5
it closed 10 minutes early so we had to eat somewhere else. The Breakfast as stated before closed early and personnel were not that friendly when asked about why it closed early.

They seemed short staffed and also just didn’t have the food available. Room was clean. Bed comfortable and the pool was refreshing. Would stay again.
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly upon arrival. Clean and comfortable. There were two things only that I have to comment: First night was very loud at the room next to us, people were yelling and making loud noise from midnight till 3:00am. Then around 6:00am we could smell what the kitchen was cooking, bacon, eggs etc! I do not know if it was because we were in the first floor and closed to the restaurant but the smell was so intense that at that woke us up !
- 5/5
Thank you! I like all !
- 4/5
Very good
- 1/5
Rooms were filthy, breakfast was garbage. No drinks other then coffee. No pool, this place should not be rated 8.2 out of 10 on your page.
- 2/5
This hotel looks a little bit like it's from an old horror movie. Very long dark hallways. We entered into our room and there were splatters of something running down the wall, some sort of white stains all over the bag the blow dryer was in, the bottoms if the doors were all splintered and I could not bring myself to walk barefoot on the carpet. We lifted the mattress up to check for cleanliness and found a used sleep mask. I would not stay there again.
- 3/5
We chose this hotel because there was a swimming pool and we wanted to exercise before we got on an airplane. However, the pool was closed due to a broken heater. Their breakfast was okay but certainly wasn't worth paying for when there's so many other restaurants around. There was a big rip carpet in front of our room. On the good side, the bed was really comfortable and the people were fairly nice. Nice. There is an exercise room with some weights and some treadmills.
- 4/5
The hotel was very clean and in a good, safe location. The only thing that stopped me from giving 5 stars is I paid extra for a room that said it had a wetbar and there wasn’t one. I asked the front desk agent and he had no idea what I was talking about. He said they had drinks for sales, that’s it. Very misleading I would’ve gotten the less expensive room.
- 5/5
Parking was easy. Staff was very kind. Didn’t have breakfast there but will try another time.
- 5/5
For an overnight stay at the Holiday Inn, this was honestly great. Our room was clean and breakfast was an awesome hearty option. Those working the front desk and breakfast were wonderfully pleasant and we were happy with our stay. Will probably come back when we plan to visit the museum again :)

This was a beautiful place on Jefferson Road in Rochester NY. I enjoyed staying there before my surgery at Sawgrass Monday 5/4/2026.
- 1/5
Breakfast was extra and so we decided to pass at $16 a person. Toilet leaked and ran constantly. Halls smelled like Marijuana and pool area not clean. Overall incredibly disappointing.
- 5/5
Clean and the staff was extremely nice and attentive. We’ll be back!
- 3/5
I believe this hotel is only a couple years old, but its public spaces were in poor shape, with worn carpets and foul odors in the hallway. Our room was not as bad though it was modest size-wise. The beds were comfortable. Not too much noise even though we had a first floor room.
- 5/5
We stayed at the Holiday Inn for 1 night. We booked 2 rooms ans both were extremely clean and comfortable. Staff was nice ans the grounds were well kept.

Breakfast is good!! Clean rooms, good bed. The only thing coffee needs is a new one. The problem is that the vent in the bathrooms needs to be fixed. Parking no problem 😊 and like ring bell room with flash good for deaf!

The rooms were clean and up-to-date. The fitness center was perfect for me. My daughter loved the pool however I wish it had been a tad warmer for my preference but other adults were swimming and enjoyed it. The breakfast was fantastic they had everything in this breakfast bar and for someone who eats low carb I loved the fresh berries to go with my eggs bacon and breakfast sausage. And the staff was great, very friendly and knowledgeable. This was a stay for fun on Easter evening to spend a little more time with my son for his birthday before he went back to collage. I just really wanted him to relax and have a good time and seeing him happy and enjoying the amenities made the stay well worth it. The room rate with breakfast included for the 3 of us was a steal. I will absolutely be staying again.

Great getaway for the weekend with my family enjoyed the pool great breakfast and hospitality
- 3/5
Corridors and rooms were outdated and felt old.
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. It was also quiet which is wonderful for a hotel stay!
- 4/5
Yes. Not easy to find a spot but it was easy enough.
- 5/5
Fun little bar with good food, staff was excellent. Lots of things near by to do.
- 4/5
Rooms were fine. Lots of businesses around it, but a little sketchy at night.
- 5/5
Very convenient.
- 5/5
Staff was exceptionally helpful & friendly especially Lindsay at the check-in desk and the bald gentleman managing the breakfast room. - his welcoming attitude was an huge morning boost! Excellent breakfast selections. The only complaint is the A/C unit is very loud when it’s running.
- 5/5
Chris was the most outstanding staff member by far. He was friendly and made clear efforts to great each guest at breakfast, even asking what they were doing in the area and recalling the same information the next day. He kept moving through the dining room taking completed dishes to the trash while maintaining conversations with each table. He was also the same way with other staff that walked in. His friendliness was welcome and his attitude infectious. He’s a rare breed and one of the reasons we will return to the hotel again.
- 1/5
Hotel is ran down nothing like the pictures garbage all in parking lot smoking weed outside staff was rude and charge $10 per adult for breakfast same breakfast at any hotel for free room was deteriorating ceiling had water spots sink leaked water never changed the bedding it’s horrible would not recommend to stay again

Good breakfast, no towels in pool area after asking more than once.
- 3/5
The shower did not drain and there was water on the floor near the window/air conditioner. Sleeping first floor felt like a basement.
- 5/5
BEST BEDS IN ANY HOTEL EVER. I was in a first floor Accessible room, before the construction started and my bed was dreamy. Then I got moved up to 212 and the bed was even more lush. I had excellent interactions with most of the staff, shout out to Lindsey and the night crew, and I loved being able to walk over to Jimmy Johns and Petsmart. Even in full blown winter, the roads were in great shape. I recommend this hotel absolutely. CLEAN PERFECT ROOMS and AWESOME housekeeping.
- 1/5
The pool water was cold, the pool room was cold, there were no towels and when we called for some they brought hair towels/hand towels. A housekeeper came into our room at 8 am scared EVERYONE. I didn’t ask for an early check out! Didn’t try to leave till we told her to get out!

We made a last minute reservation after leaving another property that was in disrepair. The front desk staff went out of their way to make sure i got reward points for my stay and that everything was to our liking
- 5/5
The room was clean, nice view. Also the hotel is very close to many food spots and other places in Rochester. The staff was so professional, I will stay here again!
- 1/5
Morning, after the receptionist noted that she couldn’t assist me. They were polite therefore I was sure to tip them, even though I was almost certain that they were not employees. There was another receptionist behind the counter during this encounter who didn’t smile, or even acknowledge my presence. At 10:30 am, on the morning of my departure, I received a very loud banging on my door, (my do not disturb tag was hanging,) with a woman announcing, “House keeping.” Check out is at 11:00, not 10:30, the parking lot had maybe three other vehicles therefore I know that she was in a rush to get done. I will not go back.
- 4/5
Very good location with lots of shopping and food choices. Hotel staff was very friendly and breakfast was fresh and hot!

- 5/5
Staff were incredibly nice. Fantastic breakfast.
- 1/5
Amenities weren’t available mini fridge did not work and pool was not available. Would have never booked if these things weren’t available for me. I made sure I called ahead as well.
- 5/5
great breakfast!
- 3/5
Overall this hotel is a decent place to stay in the Rochester area. The decor is outdated & front desk staff unfriendly, but for the price, it wouldn’t deter me from staying here again. It’s clean, not spotless and fairly quiet. There is a certain “quiet” area of the hotel which I stayed in on the first day and it was very quiet. The room was spacious with a fridge, microwave, iron, ironing board and blow dryer. I booked a second night and stayed in a different room which was slightly smaller and arranged a little differently, but still nice. Probably the best & nicest deal in the area for the price.
- 2/5
Room was very small, the rolling table wheels fell off right away, the refrigerator made a terrible noise that kept me up all the first night. When I reported this to the front desk they told me they could or I could just unplug it. This left me without a fridge and I had to throw out the leftovers we had for snack. Overall the room was clean. The shower could use some extra attention and bleach. The house keeping staff where very sweet and helpful.
- 3/5
The roller
- 3/5
The pillows smelled. The air conditioner did not cool the room.
- 4/5
Close proximity to my travels.
- 1/5
I don’t usually write reviews but this one needed to be heard. Hotel called me last minute saying my room was no longer available after driving 7+ hrs. I asked what I can do and their response was “get another hotel” when I explained how far I drove he said he didn’t know what to tell me and hung up. Very disappointing customer service. Never again will I book here.
- 3/5
No housekeeping the first three days of the stay and they double booked our room so we had to stay in a suite with a pull out couch
- 4/5
Staff very nice, room not ready at 5:30 in evening. That was my only complaint
- 5/5
Clean room, comfy beds, Bar-restaurant on site
- 4/5
Safe
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful
- 3/5
Housekeeping was lacking. During our 5 night stay, trash was emptied, but towels were changed and beds were made only twice. No replacements were provided for toilet paper, tissues or laundry bags throughout the stay.
- 5/5
Nice
- 4/5
Everything was nice and clean. The pool area was clean. The bar was nice and the bar tender was friendly.
- 1/5
They canceled my reservation without notifying me. I had to scramble at 10 pm on a Friday night after a 5 hour drive to find other accommodations.
- 4/5
In addition, the toilet stopped flushing late in the evening and no one answered the service call. Did not see anyone at the desk when I came back that night so did not walk out there for help. Leaving next day so informed cleanig staff and front desk when we left.
- 4/5
Property was outdated hard to navigate. Staff was friendly but understaffing led to him being overwhelmed with responsibilities there was a birthday party for children going on which was fine but he had too much to do and needed help. The signs don’t really direct you around the building the elevator is small and my daughter is in a wheelchair so it was barely able to fit us both with our one piece of luggage and it opens extremely close to the stairs so it was dangerous then there aren’t any signs when you get off to tell you what’s next so I had to figure out that I needed to go through another unmarked door that wasn’t handicapped accessible to find our room. I had to walk in circles up and downstairs to find an ice machine there is no indicator to show you where it was. The room is outdated and needs so upgrading. It wasn’t clean there was balls of hair in the shower and covering the drain. It’s definitely overpriced for what you walk into. Then I paid extra for breakfast which was the same free breakfast you’d receive at any other hotel chain. A disappointing stay. And being my first time staying in Rochester I’ll say next time I’ll choose another hotel. The area was great because there were so many stores and restaurants and it’s right off the highway. That was a positive and even though the staff member was overwhelmed he was extremely friendly and helpful as well as apologetic. He just needed help.
- 3/5
My entire 3 night stay was ruined because due to a medical emergency on the last night I had to unexpectedly leave my room at 1am and when I returned at 3:45am I discovered I left my key in my room. No one was at the front desk or anywhere in the hotel until 6am despite the online rep stating they escalated the situation to upper management at 4am. After an hour of standing at the desk with no one working, I walked behind the desk to see if I can find someone and found an UNATTENDED SPACE HEATER ON FULL BLAST. So not only was there no employee on duty, it was a major fire hazard that endangered the lives of every single guest. And when I told the online rep this they didn't do anything about it.
- 4/5
Nothing wrong with the property. Bed was comfy and the room was adequate. Only 1 person on duty it seemed like and the counter was often vacant if you wanted to buy snacks or a drink which was inconvenient. Otherwise it was a solid stay.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, a little pricey for what we got. Must have been a very busy weekend.
- 5/5
Close to shops
- 5/5
Bar was not ppen on weekends due to staffing.
- 5/5
Family-Friendly/Traveling alone I am careful where I stay, I felt safe and comfortable here.
- 5/5
Stayed one night but it was very good place
- 3/5
Room was fine
- 5/5
We always stay here when we drop off or pick up our son for college. The rooms are always clean and hotel itself is very spacious. Continental breakfast is complimentary when we're here. Not sure about other times of year. The area is walkable to many restaurants and stores.
- 3/5
The front desk wasn't all that helpful and also the $100 that they hold for up to 30 days, what I was told at the front desk, was concerning when you are on a trip. I have never had that experience. They usually take the credit card in case of incidentals but no one has held it up to 30 days.
- 5/5
Most comfortable pillows ever
- 4/5
Pros: its not far from shopping or restaurants. Its right off a major highway so you have plenty of restaurants and coffee shops to choose from. Wegmans and walmart are about a 5-7 min drive away, while Costco is more of a 10-15 min drive. RIT is a 10 minute ride while U of R is more 15. There is a 5 minute ride either way to the highway and about 10 minute drive to the NYS thruway enterance. The place was overall clean when I got in. People seemed to be chilling all. Overall, for a pregnant mom traveling alone, I felt safe. Room comes with a microwave and a microfridge. There is a chair to relax and one to work. They have guest laundry on-site along with a pool, an elevator and a separate room off the lobby for breakfast. Even with me being near a keyholder entrance and exit, it was pretty quiet. Cons: my fridge worked well overall. My drinks stayed cold but it was broken in a few spot at the top. One of me bedside lamps didn't work, which was fine for me, I just stayed on the other side of the bed but if you are traveling as couple of family, its something to look out for. Breakfast was hit or miss. I booked through expedia, so breakfast was free for me but as an IHG member, they have a notice saying IHG members pay $12 and non members pay $13. Breakfast was hit and miss. I came down at 9am on sat and sun. Sat was good, sun was sparce for food. Its hard to find staff. I would wait 5-7 minutes for someone in the front
- 5/5
The bed was so comfortable
- 4/5
The hotel was fine. Our room was an "older style" room. There were some items that coule use a face-lift. Bathroom soap dispenser looked as if it was just used and not cleaned. Breakfast was not bad for the price.
- 5/5
Clean Environment
- 3/5
Bed was terrible. Rooms & hall ways kind of dark appearance with all the wall papers and dark carpets. Not pleasant looking.
- 2/5
Upon entering the room we found the rug soaking wet. Tried calling front desk but phone was not working. Walked to front desk and was told we could check out and that was our only option. Wallpaper on walls peeling. Very unhappy.
- 1/5
Hotel was overbooked and had to search for new hotel 11 in the night
- 4/5
The staff was rude about breakfast
- 3/5
The lighting is so dark. Hallways were dirty. This place could definitely use some upgrades. I usually stay at the hotel across the street but decided to give this place a try. I’ll go back to my old place. It’s the same price.
- 5/5
Easy parking, Friendly Staff, The building was so clean, pool area was amazing, free cookies, great breakfast ( they need a waffle maker 👨🍳). Great location that’s near all.

Liked everything, no complaints.
- 5/5
Clean, free breakfast,
- 4/5
Good for what we needed.
- 3/5
We thought it was overpriced for this hotel.
- 2/5
Está bien ubicado pero los martes están con hoyos para botar y el clóset necesita remodelación
- 4/5
We had a king size bed and it was way too soft for our liking.
- 5/5
The front desk clerk that checked us in was incredibly helpful. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and quiet.
- 3/5
The first time we tried to check in the woman at the desk was very rude. She never grated us just asked our last name. It was 1:30 pm. Then she proceeded to tell us "check in time is 3pm. I have no rooms because we are short staffed. Come back at 3pm (as she tapped her finger on the desk). We have been full since Wednesday and there are NO rooms until 3pm". It was her tone of voice that ruined our day! We went back at 2:30 as we drove 5 hours and had no where to go. The gentleman at the desk was so kind and that was all we wanted. And amazingly there was a room! The room was average, but we were only there one night. He said the manager would call me and took my number but I never received a call so...take your chances. My daughter stayed at the Hilton Spark and had an awesome experience. We were there for my Grandson's graduation from RIT
- 2/5
No room service. Had to switch rooms.
- 2/5
Second room, in the bathroom the bathtub has some kind of rough texture on the tub and some ants in the bathroom.
- 1/5
Over 20 guests, mostly families with children, were waiting in the lobby with no information, assistance, or courtesy. Some families had already been waiting for more than 30 minutes before I arrived and were still not checked in. When a few guests voiced frustration, the receptionist shouted, “Stop yelling in the lobby!”—a completely unprofessional and inappropriate response. The situation worsened when a man, who appeared to be the supervisor, showed up and loudly announced, “We are trying to solve the problem, please be quiet.” This was not an appropriate or effective way to address understandably upset guests. It was clear that this hotel suffers from poor management and is severely understaffed. I strongly advise against staying here.
- 5/5
Nice place for a 1 night stay. Close to things.
- 5/5
Good job
- 5/5
Great place they even sent a text asking how my stay was thanks
- 3/5
We stayed here a year ago and we loved it. This time staff wasnt friendly and werent informed of the pool being closed as we checked and my kid begged to go to the pool. The room was dirty. Cut our stay early and found another hotel.
- 4/5
Very friendly and overall good experience. We picked the hotel because it had an EV car charger and a bar. The EV charger worked well, but we were disappointed that the bar was closed when we arrived at 9:30 even though it was supposed to be open until 10.
- 5/5
Awesome staff and very convenient stay!
- 2/5
Overall room was clean. Shower head was broken. There was not kind of ventilation system in the bathroom. Pool was out of service. Very under staffed, hard to reach or find anyone working the front desk.
- 5/5
We were in the area for a weekend away. Very nice, clean hotel. Room was very spacious as we has a king suite. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to everything in the city. We would stay here again.
- 2/5
The front desk staff was friendly. An outlet cover literally flew off, burning our charger and cord, staff didn't seem to care and we were not offered anything for the inconvenience. Pool was closed as well. Loud AC which barely worked to cool the room.
- 1/5
Went for a staycation, for the pool and the pool was broken. We were told it would be fixed first thing in the morning, when it wasn’t we went to the desk and they said noon, then it wasn’t and we went to the desk and they said they no longer knew when it would be fixed. Had to scramble to find an acceptable alternative and ended up spending $200 more than we planned.
- 4/5
Near the highway and lots of restaurants
- 2/5
Outdated and loud hotel.
- 3/5
The pool hours were listed as 6:30am to 10pm, but in reality, access wasn’t allowed until 8:30am. That was disappointing, especially for early risers hoping to get a swim in before the day starts. Another misleading detail was the mention of a restaurant—there wasn’t one at all, and the bar remained closed the entire time I was there. I never saw it open or staffed. Breakfast was also underwhelming, definitely below mediocre in terms of quality and options. Staff interactions were hit or miss. Donna at the front desk came across as very uninterested and borderline passive aggressive, which didn’t make for a welcoming environment. On the other hand, Troy was great—friendly, helpful, and really accommodating. Overall, this hotel could work for a short stay if you’re not expecting much beyond a place to sleep. But don’t count on enjoying the amenities they advertise.

Front desk person was pretty unprofessional. The overall room experience was nice and I would recommend this place for comfort. Breakfast was okay, a decent variety and hours.

All good. Friendly helpful staff.

Quick trip to visit RIT. This hotel was perfect!

It took over 3-1/2 hours to get the room I actually booked and I was told at check-in that I could call in the morning for a late check-out and I was denied that even after having issues with my room. I also was unable to speak to a manager either day and one wouldn't call me back when I left my number. Expedia tried to help and was great, but the hotel had too many booking issues for multple customers and I'm calling to speak to a manager Monday morning to get some sort of compensation for the difficulties or I will be disputing the charge for the entire cost of the stay.

They were short staffed that day and we didn't get into our room for up to 2 hours after we arrived at 3:00 pm.

Room was very clean and tastefully decorated. Looked recently updated. Had lots of extra chairs and tables to accommodate takeout. Had all the toiletries we needed and more. Fridge and microwave came in handy.

Everything was great and the staff is wonderful!

Check in was horrible waited 25 minutes and didn’t have the room I ask for the attendance didn’t even know if the room is clean or someone on it no explanation about extra money being held out took my card and told me what room no explanation

Instead of two queens size bed, I got one king bed only. I’m pretty upset. I’d never comeback here.

Besides not having any washcloths in my room when I checked in the stay was good

The entrance to the hotel is difficult to get to coming from the west. I tried to go through the plaza but there was no other entrance. Other than that, it was a one night stay to visit daughter. It was close to RIT. My son also left a dress shirt in closet. We never received a call about it.

The pool was absolutely freezing and disgusting, cloudy water, floaters all in the pool and particles sticking to the walls, pool light completely out of the wall. Zero towels. Tiny rooms. Too many better options around to try this one again.

Unfortunately my stay was far from satisfactory. The check-in process was slow, person at front desk was not friendly. The hotel has clearly not been maintained, the shower head and handle on shower was broken, the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, the ac in the bedroom did not work only ran every hour making it impossible to sleep. Additionally the walls were very thin so all you heard was talking and movement coming from the other rooms all night. The reviews are very misleading, we ending up leaving a day early, we could not fathom staying another night at this hotel. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Went to check in and room wasn’t ready. Sat in the lobby for an hour and went I went to see if room was ready there was 8 people waiting in line and their rooms weren’t ready either. They also only had 1 person checking people in. When someone asked if there was a manager they could talk to they were told he was in a meeting. I call BS at 345 on a Saturday. All the lady saying was she was sorry and they were short housekeepers. And she didn’t know what rooms were clean or not because she didnt know when they update the system. We drive almost 7 hours to get to the hotel only to wait over an hour to check in. Also the pool was closed due to someone ( an employee) broke a light when filling the pool so they had to drain it, clean it and then refill. When I got to my room the refrigerator was t working. I called the front desk and was asked to hold. I was told someone would come look at it and no one did.

Check-in wasn't available until over an hour after specified time. My credit card was charged the morning of my stay, literally hours before check-in. Housekeeping walked into our room as we were unpacking, unaware that the room had been assigned. Pool wasn't available to use.

The staff were all very nice

Very pleased with our stay. We switched from our “regular” hotel in this area, but this is our new one!

The hotel was decent. The room was nice, but our room was right next to the pool and it was loud. Try not to get room right there. The breakfast was good. Hotel staff good during stay. Security deposit at this hotel does not come off at checkout like most hotels do. Just contacted hotel to inquire and staff member was not the friendliest.

Nice quiet place

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. The place was clean and standard BUT the pool was big and warm with plenty of towels and seating. The breakfast buffet was fresh with lots of choices like eggs, French toast, bacon, yogurt bar with fresh fruit, and much more. It was close to all the shopping and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

The property is very old I took my family to that hotel thinking it is good since it has 4 stars supposedly but it is not at all a 4 star, starting that the first room they gave me had the smell of cigar and supposedly it is smoke free and then the second room the air did not work and then the third room again smelled of cigar. The breakfast every day was cold and the cleaning horrible since the bathroom had hairs on the wall of other previous people. Very bad experience.
