Nice room, comfortable bed. No nightlight in the bathroom, and not much ventilation either. Bistro is nice, especially in the evening. Starbucks is nice, but other hotels offer a free breakfast.
- 2.5/5
location room was dirty. hair all over bathroom and towels.

The staff were always so friendly and helpful. Every time we came inside we were greeted, and the brief wait we had at one point at the front desk was met with a maintenance person who quickly got a clerk without us asking. Josh in particular was so kind and went out of his way to assist us.

friendliness, but lack of quiet in bar as people brought their own wine and pizza while I spent 16.00 per glass of wine in an area where others brought food and drink and NOISE beyond belief unbearable noise in bar area with people bringing in their beverages and pizza while I spent 16.00 per glass of wine from hotel. Front desk staff were amazing! I would stay here again simply because of the staff and cleanliness of the room. We did have 2 outlets by the bed not work which caused us to not charge our electronics correctly.

Don't contribute up to 10% on 40lk and staff needs to work 2 jobs to support themselves. Staff is fantastic.

Rusty faucets could use upates.

Food service staff was surly .
- 5/5
Really nice room, staff was nice
- 4/5
The hotel was nice enough, but I guess I’m just old-fashioned and like having coffee available in the morning free of charge. This hotel only sells Starbucks coffee. I wish they would just charge a couple of extra dollars on the room fee and offer free coffee.

The girl that was supposed to make breakfast wasn’t there so they had no breakfast. They changed the sheets on you once every other day so you didn’t get towels or nothing so the two days that was there you get nothing. There was one gentleman there that tried to do his best

Our body wash in the shower was empty

Courteous and attentive staff. Gounds and building were very clean.
- 4.5/5
Upgraded recently. Coffee and food service very limited hours.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and helpful—-room was clean and tidy which is the number one thing we look for when staying at a hotel. The hotel overall was clean and quiet which is what we were looking for. We would definitely stay at this hotel again—hands down! If you choose this hotel you will not be disappointed.

The manager was amazing he came to our room and helped us set the thermostat. He was so kind and polite. He was working Saturday, Dec 13. Please tell him how much we appreciated his attention to detail.

- 5/5
Friendly staff and guests. Clean room.
- 5/5
FRIENDLY STAFF AND VERY HELPFUL
- 5/5
I liked the amount of space in the room, and staff were very accommodating. I didn't hear any outside noise in my room, which isn't always the case when you stay at a hotel, it was great. I also enjoyed being able to use the pool, as there was noone else down there, I just wish the size of the towels at the pool and for the room were a bit bigger, as it didn't cover me.
- 4/5
Pool is discolored but clean. Gym was small but does the trick. Overall satisfied with it though i feel it was a bit overpriced. Staff was all super friendly and helpful (minus the "Starbucks" employee. He didn't seem to like his job and made huffing sounds while waiting for my 3 and 5 year old to decide what they wanted. And it wasn't busy. He was just impatient)
- 4/5
We stay here pretty frequently and always fine place.
- 4/5
Think it’s ridiculous that for $200 a night I still have to buy overpriced crappy coffee from Starbucks. Should have coffee available all morning. Had to drive off site to get a decent cup
- 4/5
The hotel was nice and staff were welcoming. Next time I won’t stay on the first floor, the other guests who wake up super early to go to the breakfast area were extremely loud and woke me and my mother up.
- 5/5
Clean room good air conditioner and friendly staff
- 4/5
Quite secluded area great for a couples retreat
- 5/5
Very clean with a friendly staff. There is a pool and gym but not much else other than their Bistro. If You’ve stayed at a Courtyard by Marriott before, it’s a typical hotel.
- 5/5
The elevator was out of service. Other than that everything else was fine
- 4/5
Smooth, quick, nice person. Elevator not working but didn’t bother us, room on 2nd floor.
- 4/5
Marriott Courtyards are usually pretty good, though some of them are a little worse for wear. The Marriott Rochester East/Penfield looked and felt clean and new. Everyone was very friendly from beginning to end, the rooms were comfortable, and we were able to watch the Yankees game on a comfy sofa in the lobby. What more do you need?
- 5/5
Everyone we spoke to was a delight and we had a lovely stay. Good distance from downtown but set back in a safe and quiet area.
- 5/5
Needed a peaceful night and that is what I got.
- 3/5
Internet connection is terrible. Really annoying to have to pay for breakfast. Most all competitors offer free breakfast. Not even free coffee here. Will not be staying at a Courtyard again.
- 2/5
I've stayed here before and am sad to say it is not the same. The lobby restaurant/bar was closed, you had to ask for housekeeping if you were staying more than a night, the elevator shook side to side, housekeeping knocking pre-checkout time (with a do not disturb sign on the door) on departure day, some of the front desk staff looked like they rolled into work in pajamas, and the general common areas were not nearly as well-kept or inviting as it had been in the past. I'll look for other options next time I am in town.

I loved the hotel where it was located beautiful area.. Away from overall 5 stars was the bathroom was really small
- 5/5
The weather was not good for me , I m not used to snow. I was indoors. The staff was outstanding they made me want to come back to visit them.
- 5/5
This is a well-run hotel I’ve stayed at twice now and will stay at again in the future. The only minor hiccup was being unable to connect the GoogleTV we brought with us to the hotel WiFi - the staff had never had this question before so couldn’t help - but that’s hardly a blip on the radar. Good service, clean and quiet stay, easy to find.
- 4/5
My stay was great. Only real issue was the fridge in the room wasn’t working and we had to throw away our left over food. Told the front desk and they seemed like they knew about it.
- 3/5
The beds are hard as a rock we felt like we slept on the floor.. and the pool was ice cold but other than that it was good
- 5/5
Staff was exceptional!!
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable and extremely kind and helpful front desk ladies. Will definitely stay again! Thank you!!
- 5/5
Donna at the cafe was so sweet to my girlfriend and I. Very friendly and helpful. We were in town for a funeral and not feeling our best. She cheered us right up. Top grade customer service and kindness. Thank You! We will be back.
- 3/5
Stayed there specifically for resto/bar but oh well👎
- 2/5
We had ants in the bathroom....the pool water was far too cold for an indoor pool and needed to be vacuumed...the room and beds were fine. The bistro wasnt open....no cook....we live in east rochester and looked forward to our staycation for months...dissappointing..also no towels at the pool for our morning experience
- 5/5
quality expected for that price and from courtyard
- 5/5
Great place for an overnight stay. Generally have good luck with mariotts
- 5/5
Really nice hotel. Every one of the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
- 5/5
Really clean and good condition w/ easy access, convenient, and _excellent_ front desk staff.
- 4/5
Lovely up to date hotel, conveniently located.
- 5/5
I stayed for several days and was in a beautiful and quiet room. Everything was clean and very comfortable. My flight out was rebooked a day later and they were very accommodating for an extra night. I'll stay here again!
- 4/5
The check in did not go smooth. I had reserved a king assessable room. When we fist went, I was told it wasn't ready. Then came back and got to the room and it was 2 queen beds. Had to go back down, they said I had reserved the 2 queen assessable and that they don't have any king rooms that are assessable. The website shows it does. I didn't have my phone to show her, so I brought it back down to show her I did reserve the king, then she came up with another excuse. They did put us in a king, not assessable and it was nice and we made it thru the 2 days. Just wish they would have had it right. The place was nice and clean.
- 2/5
The AC was directly over my bed.. The AC was directly on my head all night. i got so sick. The charging spots by the bed did NOT work. they only had one outlet by the bed.. no other options to charge.. The internet didn't work.. This hotel stay was NOT relaxing at all .. I was here for work. .. wouldn't recommend.
- 5/5
Quiet location with easy access to Route 490. Many nearby restaurants and a beautiful creekside park with walking trails (Channing Philbrick Park) only one mile away. Staff here has always been friendly, and rooms are impeccably clean. No better hotel on the eastside of Rochester!
- 5/5
Very friendly
- 5/5
Was very clean. Room is well designed for maximum efficiency and comfort. After a 6 day trip staying somewhere different each night, this Marriott gets my highest overall rating. It is convenient to the highway but in a rather secluded spot but only 10 minutes by car to get to great areas with great restaurants and shopping.
- 5/5
the staff are really accommodating.
- 5/5
Parking was easy. Big pool. Great refreshments. A lot of room space and awesome tv for streaming. Shower was awesome! Staff were patient and wonderful. Would come here again for a future wedding!
- 5/5
Parking is limited.
- 5/5
Excellent property with friendly staff and good light dining option. Only criticism is that bathrooms should be freshened with clean towels daily and trash emptied.
- 5/5
Pleasant stay
- 5/5
This is a lovely reasonably priced hotel. The room was spacious and in great shape with all the necessities. The staff was extraordinarliy pleasant. I did not sample the bustro but it looked great. I would stay there again with pleasure.
- 5/5
Free breakfast would make the hotel ideal.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and we were very comfortable during our stay. The only complaint I have is that there was only one elevator which was very shaky, and also there was no hot tub (as advertised). Everything else was great!
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Awesome
- 5/5
Very clean, modern hotel with a great staff. I felt ver comfortable there.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had an issue with the sink and maintenance was sent to room immediately.
- 3/5
The front desk staff are excellent . Recommend they change their cleaning policy and tidy up the rooms every two days and change the sheets every 3 days . Also recommend they remind the Bistro staff that guests ARE paying guests and rudeness should not be entertained at all
- 2/5
The first room that we stayed in had a leak in the ceiling, the second room that we moved to had a broken air conditioner.
- 5/5
Very pleasant stay for 3 days with friendly staff.
- 5/5
clean, and comfortable, very nice vibe as well

Cleanly facility with decent pool
- 5/5
Spacious room, comfortable pillows, bed, and couch. Coffee and tea in room. Best-designed shower I have ever seen, complete with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in bottles attached to the shower wall right where you need them. (No more wasteful little bottles.) Delicious breakfast options (for a reasonable charge). Plenty of parking. Wooded setting. (Careful driving in: I've spotted deer and once, a fox!) Very accessible to all things Rochester: 20 minutes from downtown. To top it off, the staff are friendly and proud of their work.
- 5/5
Very nice property.
- 5/5
Only complaint is that breakfast was vastly overpriced

Excellent hotel and staff. The room was very clean with every amenity imaginable. I highly recommend to anyone traveling for work or leisure.
- 4/5
We had a lovely stay and everything was great! They were not very accommodating with early or late check in. They weren't sure if our room would be ready by 4:00. Guessing it was an uncommonly busy weekend.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful!
- 5/5
Great customer service and clean hotel.
- 5/5
It was very convenient to what we needed
- 4/5
We stayed for 2 nights. Spent very little time at the hotel. It was clean and comfortable.

- 5/5
A bit pricey but otherwise a positive w

They had pretty decent reviews so we chose this specific Marriott hotel to stop off at on our trip from New York to Toronto. Well we were quite disappointed. The place was nasty. Old and desperate for a renovation. Smelled like mold. Long black hair in shower. The bottom of the toilet was filthy. Dirty shower curtain. The curtains were stained with blood, as was the bottom of the bed. Just nauseous. After taking a really quick shower in flip flops of course, I closed my eyes and went in to bed without looking. No doubt the linen was dirty but I just did not want to see. The bed was really uncomfortable and old and the linen smelled musty. I will definitely not be returning here or to any courtyard by Marriott for that matter. Their one saving Grace is that the staff at the front desk is really friendly and nice
- 5/5
The Starbucks was a disappointment. For what the room costs. How about a free cup of coffee. The room coffee sucked. Also staff was unfriendly
- 5/5
Great experience! Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They made our stay a such pleasure from check in to breakfast to checkout. At the end of the stay the manager even gave our children some snacks for the road. They did all the little things that you remember. Would recommend staying here and if we are back in the area we will definitely stay again.
- 4/5
The bathroom light are super intense when using them at night! maybe have a lower lumen set for night time usage
- 5/5
The bistro was very expensive.
- 4/5
I highly recommend. Would stay there again.
- 5/5
Nicest hotel I've stayed in
- 5/5
The staff was terrific the accommodations were great. The only issue I had was that the bed was not very comfortable.
- 3/5
Pretty standard travel hotel experience, my only wish was for the hotel to serve breakfast.
- 3/5
Toilet clogged prior to arrival. Staff unsuccessful at clearing
- 4/5
Very nice
- 4/5
They called at exactly check out time and were reminded that we had to leave. I informed that that we were leaving within minutes. 15 minutes later they knocked on the door and kind of chased us away . I actually got the feeling that the parson that knocked on the door, wanted to escort us down and out of the building right then and there.
- 3/5
Convenient location, and that sums it up. Otherwise it’s like staying at a car dealership on a highway…which is exactly what it is.
