Convenient location to University of Rochester

I never liked staying in Rochester’s hotels due to the aged condition in general. Got lucky this time though, hotel is newly renovated with new carpet both in the hallway and the room. The room, though small, looked very clean with new furniture. Can’t really comment on the surrounding environment since I only stayed one night.

This property is under renovation. There is no microwaves in the rooms. There is only one in the hotel in the lobby.

Easy parking. Booked 2 rooms and they ended up on different floors, unfortunately they were unable to move my parents to the same floor.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Every staff member was incredibly warm and welcoming, and it was clear how much they genuinely care about their guests. Throughout our stay, we were met with kind greetings and thoughtful service, which made the entire experience feel truly special. Highly recommended.

The staff was courteous, room clean. We enjoyed our stay as always. The pool is the big draw for us. We had a enjoyable time swimming, reading, and cuddling.

Everything was great except for the beds. They were awful.

The room was a little rough. There was no ventilation in the room, no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so after leaving and coming back to the room, it felt stuffy and smelled dank. The cable worked but we were unable to stream as advertised. Maintenance came to have a look but it couldn't be figured out and arranged to have someone come the next day. Not sure if they did - there was no communication and still no streaming available. The beds need updating, as they were a bit sunken - not Marriot standard. We were there three nights and the one time housekeeping came, they brought towels and emptied our garbage, that’s it. No replacement of ammenities, no beds changed/made, no vacuuming. We found this strange. There was some renovation occurring on the exterior when we stayed and there was a note in the room explaing the process including hours of the disruptions: 7am-4pm. Our last morning we wer awakened near 6am to an extremely loud scraping of some sort and a large dumpster being left outside our window/sliding glass door. We were on the main floor. It was nice to have a mini-fridge not mentioned in the hotel descriptions, and access to a microwave in the lobby was nice. Not sure I’d stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel booked through Expedia! Check-in was smooth, the staff were welcoming and friendly, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The amenities matched the description perfectly, and the location was convenient for everything I needed. Overall, it was a stress-free and enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely stay here again.

The hotel was nice and clean and I would stay there again. It was a convenient drive to our destination. However, they need more staff in the Bistro. The wait times for food was ridiculous.

This property was undergoing renovations but it was very quiet. The only thing that I would suggest is to have a mattress pad on the bed. Because there was no pad the bottom sheet kept coming undone. But on the other hand the beds were very comfortable. It was a large room with a love seat that was great to have in the room. The pool was large for a hotel and it was an added plus. Also Starbucks in lobby was convenient.All in all it was a great stay and reasonably priced but imagine that prices will go up once renovations are completed.

Book to stay paid for everything only to find out that they tried to charge us $250 extra for each room on top of what we paid already and then when we asked for a manager because nowhere on the website nor on frequent questions does it say anything about the $250 I was treat with disrespect and rudeness I highly recommend people going somewhere else and only person that was understanding and respectful was KOJO the receptionist

Finally an acesible room that truly was in every way. roll in shower withdetachable shower head bench, plenty of room for wheelchair. high toilet bars whereever you seemed to want one. flat egress directly to outside for emergencies. i have had too many rooms in other nice hotels where the bathroom is misrepresented.quiet,back from the main road but easy access to everywhere i wanted to go in the rochester area.beds were comfy too. whenever traveling to the area in the future i will be staing there.

This property was close to my sister’s house. We were happy to have somewhere to go and shower and relax at the end of the night and get a good night sleep. They switched out towels for us, but that was it. We stayed three nights.

Hotel is on the older side but you can see attempts to update and maintain.

Rooms were dated and our slider door to exterior was screwed shut. Found out upon departure the exterior doors on interior courtyard rooms open, Would have preferred that. Pool area was nice, clean and stocked with amenities for use and comfort. Main lobby was very nice. I’ll repeat it again. The staff was very friendly, front desk, food service staff and housekeepers. Would stay again but would ask for interior room with usable sliders/balcony. I’m sure staff would have changed my room in this stag if I thought to ask.

The hotel's staff were very nice. Sometimes we had to wait for service from the staff such as in the bar and diner because no one was behind the counter. The room was very comfotable and clean. We would definitely recommend to our family and friends.

Fairly clean, but very dated decor and fixtures. Very dark throughout the common areas, as well as my room. Several areas in various states of construction or repair. Exercise room, was nearly unusable by more than one person at a time for strength activities. Was expecting much more from a Courtyard by Marriott.

For the money I was disappointed. The pool was small, the gym equipment was broken and if you wanted to eat you had to pay extra. The climate control was off and when the ac kicked in it was super loud. More what I would expect for a motel at half the cost. Also dirty gloor in bathroom

In regards to the Hotel Services, there is no coffee station in the main lobby. There was a very small coffee machine, 1 cup, in the room, however it was broken. The "Starbucks" hours, as well as food service, had very limited hours during the day. Happy Hour started at 5, I believe, but again, had limited items that could be ordered. Apparently the kitchen was limited to when, and what they were able to cook, as unbeknownst to me, and not listed on Expedia, the hotel kitchen was under renovation. I will never use Marriott ever again, considering my experience with Charles, who is supposed to be a manager no less. I am a Marriott's Bonvoy Member besides.

It is close to RIT. Nice place, but the little things were not there…food was bad but was an outside vender. Kind of I par with Denny’s but expensive. Fitted sheet didn’t stay on the bed each night, no extra blanket and coffee in room was bad…and no free coffee outside the room. The courtyard needs newer coffee machines. That was the deal breaker. I had to expend my stay at another equivalent hotel, and the food and coffee and bedding was glorious. The small things made the stay ‘just ok’

Property needs remodeling. Spotty TV service satellite kept cutting out Wi-Fi being disrupted. Bathroom was old, tub needed reglazing.

Cleanliness has slipped at the Marriott Hotels the last few years. The walls are still thick (quiet) and they still provide a quality mattress.

Room had stained draopes and bedcover, stained carpet in public areas and thge entire building apeatred not well maintained.

Courtyards are always a dependable choice. Clean, comfortable, well appointed and friendly staff.

They were great to let us check in early. The lobby looked nice and up to date. The room had a weird smell, not sure if it is the cleaning chemicals or what, but it wasn't pleasant. The rooms were okay. But could go for a paint job and deep cleaning.

One of the best rooms I've had.

This was a decent stay for two nights. Rooms and washrooms were clean. However, the hotel seems to be a little dated. The neighbourhood was really quiet which was good. It was also convenient having exit doors close to the parking lot so don't have to walk to the entrance to get out.

Cory at the front desk was so nice to accommodate us way earlier than the check in time.the room was clean with a tidy ironed sheet. The bed is comfy and within close proximity or around 10 minutes to good restaurants in the area like Jackrabbit. Highly recommend and will go back when visit Rochester soon.

OVERALL GREAT

I put in a claim dirty sheets n mattress full of blood n stains..

Room had a strong smell , carpet was wet, AC was very noisy and did not work well. Informed the front desk about the smell and requested change but they refused due to hotel being full.

Very clean and quiet. Great friendly staff and comfortable beds.

The staff was nice, but we discovered a wet, used towel on the back of the bathroom door. It was rather disgusting. Also, the bathroom has no vent, so it is a humid mess which never fully dries.
