    The room was clean, but my towels were stained. The beds and covers were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was simple. The only thing I didn't like was they had a sign saying that they would charge you 10.00 if you took food to your room. Who doesn't get their breakfast and go to their room when they have children?

    Clean, comfortable, and our room in the back was quiet, which was a surprise, given the location. Our first time in Roanoke, so driving around was not easy, although GPS helped us find the place.

    Every thing was about empty when we got there about 9 AM for breakfast. I ate a yogurt and my husband made a waffle for himself. All the eggs and bread were gone. No one was monitoring the kitchen. All the furnishings were old and looked terrible. The couch was so old and dirty looking I did not want to sit on it. Even the wooden furniture had been beaten up and did not look inviting enough to use. Even the coffee pot in the room looked ancient and looked dirty and had a bug in it. The window was so dirty you could barely look out.

    No much. I’m 74 my partner is 73 and we were one of the first people there. They made us climb stairs with our luggage. The bed was fine but the little love seat was filthy. I wouldn’t even place my suitcase on it. It was stained and sticky from humidity. See above

    Close to downtown The staff was rude. The room had mold in the bathroom. The pillows smelled like sweat. There was damage to some parts of the room. I still haven’t gotten my deposit back. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for a better hotel.

    The staff was very accommodating and helpful. I left my watch and charger behind and the hotel contacted me to let me know. I would recommend this hotel to others and will likely consider staying there again in the future. The only negative was I could hear the people next door and they were being load.

    Location was perfect for me, right off the Highway. Staff was pleasant. Room was large and comfy. Everything was in working order. (Fridge, Micro Wave, and TV). No facial tissues, no plastic cups, tiled part of the floor was sticky and you could se shoe tracks, you could tell cleaning was rushed, including the way the bed was made. Very sloppy. This was after a major snow storm and that might explain some things, but the parking lot was not cleared at all and walkways leading to entrance were Iced over.

    I am a healthcare worker at a hospital near by and I was required to be at work. I love an hour away from my job and needed somewhere close by. I spoke with 2 separate individuals on the phone at the Hotel and asked both if their lot would be plowed and the road leading to the hotel would be plowed to ensure I could get to work. Both stated that their lot and the road were plowed. Needless to say- neither were. I had to floor it to get out of my parking spot and then slid all the way down the road in front of the hotel. Several people were stuck on the road when I tried coming back from work. I was there Sat-Tues and neither were touched that entire time. I also booked the hotel online for $220 total. There was no disclaimer about a refundable fee. The morning of check in I was charged $75 and then upon arriving for check in was told I owed the $220 plus a $100 refundable fee. I was charged almost $400 to stay. When asked why the $75 was charged the front desk stated it was due to there being so many rooms being booked and said it was refundable. When asked why the $75 couldn’t go towards the other $100 charge the front desk stated that it was already in the process of being refunded. When asked for a receipt they only provided the $220 room charge and claimed that they don’t do receipts for the refundable charges.

    I was there a totle of 4 nights. On the third morning found bed bugs in the sheets. I notified the front office they switched our room and immediately put another guest in that room without checking it out or having an exterminator come in to spray. Would definitely not go back there.

    Everyone was so nice.. Well the shower leaked..microwave didn't work good and fridge wasn't very cold..and you had to walk up stairs to get ice..which was hard been handicapped..and carpets left you with black feet..carpets need a good cleaning.

    We arrived at the room and I began working on my computer. My wife went in to shower and dress for bed. My wife came out a few minutes later and said the toilet seat was not attached to the commode. It was late and we were too tired to change rooms. I was careful when I seated myself. I took a pic and showed it to the desk clerk the next morning.

    We just needed somewhere affordable to sleep and take a shower after a long day of being out in the heat and sun. As soon as we arrived to our room we could tell it had not been cleaned. There was chocolate (or we hope it was chocolate!) all over the tv remote. Someone else’s used soap was in the shower. One of the wash cloths was brown and dirty. And when we pulled back the blankets someone else’s hair was in them. I was not able to sleep due to feeling like everything was gross.

    I didn't get the room that I booked. There was blood stains on the sheets and ink stains on the comforter. The attendant was notified and she did change the sheets and comforter in a timely fashion. They gave us the bare minimum of towels and washcloths there was no hand soap in the bathroom.

    B) charge me a 100 deposit which was never returned and he refuses to speak with me about it. C) Tell me that the room I had reserved wasn't available and moved me to a smaller lower class room yet still charged me for my previous room (30 dollar difference). Overall I was stereotyped, overcharged, lied to on several occasions and ignored. I RECOMMEND NO ONE STAYS HERE FURTHERMORE IT SHOULD BE DESTROYED OR SOLD TO A GOOD OWNER. If i were capable of hiving this place negative stars I would. My lawyer is currently looking into this and I expect to go to court soon.

    When we first entered our room, it had an unpleasant odor. The lounge chair had stains on it and one of the legs was either loose or broken. The refrigerator was not very clean. The shower had mold in it. I was very disappointed in the condition of the room.

    About the only thing going for you is our bed was comfortable. The rug look and smelled dirty. We wouldn't even take our shoes off until we went to bed. The chairs in the room had stains on them. Holes in the curtains. The commode seat was ready to fall off. The shower had mold growing in it around the railing. The towels looked like they were not washed. If I had seen that before my shower I would have went with out. After reading the sign when they were going to charge if stuff was missing we took pictures of everything last night and this morning.     The bed was good. The AC worked. But the room was seriously under par, carpet scuffed through down to the flooring, the back of the bathroom door had mold, not just a little, about 1/4 of the whole thing.There was a chair in the corner that was completely raggedy with the stuffing underneath showing through. Maybe it was supposed to hold your suitcase because there was no foldout stand. The breakfast was reasonable. Hot options and lots of variety. When I go back through Roanoke, I will definitely look for something else.

    I booked a room for three at Quality Inn Tanglewood. I arrive to check in do all the stuff needed for the room and when asked.how many people I said I booked the room for three he said no we only do for two and any more will be an extra charge of 15 dollars per person per night. I was a bit aggravated at that point considering how far I had drove. I said yeah well whatever paid the extra 30 dollars. Then I asked if I could get an extra key card he said yes for an additional 20 dollars I said no forget. Other than that everything else was great. Will I ever stay there again no would I recommend to anyone no, because most people have more than 2 people traveling with them.

    Overall a good value. No frills but basically clean and quiet in a convienent location for a reasonable price. Room was spacious with comfortable bed. Bathroom was big with a separate shower and tub. Shower stall did not get hot water. Some of the towels coud be replaced. Other than that everything was adequate. Would stay again.....

    The customer service was good!! We did enjoy the breakfast food! Negative side was our restroom had long hair and snot on the shower walls. It was a non smoking king room but smelled like cigarettes and weed. Unfortunately, I was in town for my sister’s funeral; so I was sad and in a disgusting restroom!! I couldn’t sleep at all!!

    It’s a 2 star establishment so we didn’t expect much. The beds are pretty comfortable and they allow pets for a small fee. We were in a pet friendly room so maybe that’s why it wasn’t as clean as we would like. My son’s feet were very dirty just walking around on the carpet. Everything else was wiped down and clean for the most part. Basic amenities available.

    First room didnt have a working dead lock so they moved me to another, which I was thankful for because the back of the building where the first room was felt veey sketchy. Bathtub was stained (dirty?? Given there was hair in it) so i didnt shower even though the purpose of my one night stay was due to the power being out in my home because of the storms. There was also a small hole at the bottom of the room door due to decay. I didnt see it until the next morning when the sunlight came through. If i had not been exhausted and needing to get a toddler to sleep, I would have went elsewhere.

    This is a motel--doors to rooms open to the parking area. I really prefer to stay away from this kind of property and would have booked elsewhere if I'd realized this. That said, the room itself was really nice. The king bed was very comfortable. And the room and bathroom were clean. The staff was very nice and handled a difficult check in ahead of me very professionally.

    Clean except wall next to waste basket in bathroom. Staff friendly. Great continental breakfast. Easy access and close to where we were going. Handicap shower curtain let water onto bathroom tile floor which was very slippery. Staff seemed responsive to comments.

    The staff was wonderful. The front desk clerk was cheerful and personable and truly cared about how our stay was and if we were comfortable. Our experience up til that day was starting to make a very l bad experience into the worst. We were in town because our daughter had been transfered to the hospital here and needed brain surgery and a lot of intensive therapy before we would be able to return home. It was scary and very stressful and he was so attentive and kind. He helped make a very unpleasant situation a much more bearable one. And for that I will be eternally grateful. I'm not sure if I ever caught his name but if I did I can not remember which is too bad because I'd love to reach out and tell him thank you. He really really made a difference in how we were able to cope with what she was going through.

    The only thing I have positive to say is that the ac was fantastic! Poor lighting inside unit, carpet was filthy, one shower was gross, the other flooded the entire bathroom into the next room. Put a do not disturb on door. Housekeeping still came in, and didn’t even change sheets where I had spilled soda. Breakfast was pitiful as well. Will look for something else if I need to go to Roanoke again.

    Bed kind of hard. Place is really clean. Bathroom showers looked old, but not dirty. Light around sink not bright enough to see. Check in was easy and staff really nice.

    I had absolutely no issues with the property until housekeeping came around in the mornings. They would knock and you would say, “I’m in here or “we’re checking out shortly,” but she would still use her key to get in. Wasn’t sure if she would catch you in a compromising position or not or you would be changing clothes or not, she would still use her key to get in. Other than that interruption, I had no issues.

    The front desk person was in a altercation with a customer with the police on the phone.the front desk person was racist with the male customer and tried to pull my sister and I in to the disagreements we then left .and went to another holel I tried to call and cancel and the front desk person was very rude to me

    The room was pretty gross from a cleanliness standpoint. Old shampoo bottles in shower, trash had not been taken out, bathroom had noticeable grime everywhere on the floors. The worst though was the super odd man who worked the front desk. I would not stay here ever again.

    Have stayed here so many times as Roanoke is my hometown and I’ve moved a few hours away. There’s always been a kind of “you get what you pay for” situation with this hotel but it was awful this time. The sheets and bedding had stains, the bedside table was missing a light and there were hardly any towels. Not to mention I was lied to and charged $100 when I prepaid for the room through here with PayPal. Planning my next trip home for Christmas and do not plan on staying here.

    I enjoyed staying there. It was overall very good. There were some draw backs but I can't complain. The hotel was overall good. I think some minor updates would be good. But for the price and location made up for that. I was pleasantly surprised by breakfast in a good way. I will stay here again.

    There was no hot water in the shower. In the bathtub the water faucet had to be nearly turned off to get hot water. The front desk did not know the room numbers or layout of the hotel. The grass looked like it was mowed last year. The front desk cleric looked extremely bothered to have to answer the phone and check people in. If this was the last hotel in Roanoke, it would be better to sleep in your vehicle. Choice Hotels needs to require many changes or change the name of this hotel to Zero Quality Inn.

    It is located near a mall. The bed linen was dirty, the microwave & fridge dirty & smelly. The room was not clean and as such I had to request a refund. The refund provided did not match the amount I paid.

    This was my third and last time I stay there, The non smoking room stunk like an ashtray, the floor was not vacuumed the bathroom was just plan dirty. There where cigarette hole's burned into the comforter and when I replaced it they gave me ones with blood stain's. Bad real Bad
