This hotel is under major construction and remodeling. Expedia doesn't seem to know. We had plenty of choices of hotels to stay at in this area. We would not have stayed here had we known about the construction.

The property is completely under construction. Not one floor, not just the lobby, basically every floor. The site does not tell you this. Nothing alludes to it before you arrive. They are renovating the entire lobby; you can't use the front door, which is fine, but they're also renovating every area of the hotel that has tile. Dust everywhere. Crews are working late into the night, including on the weekends. We were on the 5th floor and could hear people dumping tile debris all night long.

Quick service...simple check-in and check-out. Excellent room accommodating 4 guests.

I chose to stay at this hotel becuase it was supposed to have a restaurant and bar on site, but the hotel is having major renovations so that wasn't an option. The staff was fine, and the room was nice. My second night I smelled cigarette smoke for part of the evening, which I hated. I didn't cause any issues, so I just dealt with it. I was very disappointed they didn't have a bar because that was why I chose to stay here in the first place. I could have saved some money staying elsewhere, and next time that is what I will do.

They did have breakfast out but nothing else. Rooms were clean. Bathroom faucet was loose. Bathroom door takes up way too much room and opens in. You have to perform gymnastics to get around it. People at check in were nice and helpful.

Hyatt is always an outstanding place to stay.

• The "Ambiance" (Construction Zone): Nobody warned us that the hotel was actively being gutted. The lobby looked like a hazardous waste site, and our room was directly beneath whatever structural demolition they were doing. The drilling started at the crack of dawn and didn't stop all day. Forget sleeping in, having a conversation, or relaxing. I’ve stayed at quieter construction sites. • The Bathroom Biohazard: When we finally tried to escape the noise by taking a shower, we found a literal science experiment growing in the bathroom. There was black mold caked along the shower grout and crawling up the drywall behind the toilet. It smelled musty, damp, and dangerous. When I brought this up, I was basically told to just not touch the walls. • The Hostile Front Desk: The staff here must be trained in active hostility. No apology, no empathy, just pure attitude. Management clearly does not care about their guests or basic health codes. Save your money, save your lungs, and stay literally anywhere else

I called ahead to see if the amenities such as a pool and restaurant were at this location I was told yes and upon arrival what was failed to be mentioned was that the place was under a total renovation and the amenities were out of service. The housekeeping didn't even make the beds. Also on the last day of our stay I came back to the floor my room was on and it was blocked off with plastic and the floor was torn up . I took the stairs and the construction workers were breaking up the floor right outside my room it didn't stop for hours ,at 6 I went down to request a different room that was away from the noise . First I was going to be put further away from my family but after asking again for a better accomodation I was them put in a room that was both near my familys other room and away from the noise. Also the breakfast was served in the office space with minimal food options. There was a shuttle service that was helpful. There is also some issue with my points not showing on my hyatt app.Overall the room was decently clean and the shuttle helpful, staff was nice but everything else was a big let down.

Should have been made aware that the entire lobby area was under deep renovation. Breakfast in meeting room. Room was next the elevator - noisy! Room so small. Shower and toilet so close. Least favorite hotel rom design ever! Not worth $265 - !!!

Clean large updated rooms. property was under remodel when I stayed but I’m sure it will look great once finished. I wasn’t impressed with breakfast, extremely limited so that is something that definitely should be improved. Lots of parking space.

Hotel is under renovation. Check in desk was 2 tables side by side with exposed wiring. Floor removal going on in Lobby. Concrete dust in the air. Breakfast served in a converted meeting room If there was a "under renovation" warning under description I missed it. I have stayed st Quality Inns in better shape.

Was not disclosed the entire property would be under renovation. Breakfast was in a meeting room. I think the staff did a excellent job considering the conditions of having the entire first floor under construction. Just disappointed we where not told what we was walking into!

The hotel manager was super nice and had great customer service. The pool was not opened and did not say that when booking-bummer. The front of the building was kind of chaotic and had construction going on but couldn’t hear it. One of the workers was kind of rude but the hotel manger was super nice and sweet-loved her.

The room was very spacious with the exception of the toilet/shower area, very tight fit. Would have found a microwave in the room very useful. There was construction in the lobby area that was very loud. Appreciated being on the 4th floor away from it.

This hotel is under construction at the moment. We didn’t know that before our arrival. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was completely remodeled. The only down side to our stay was the air conditioning unit was so loud in the room neither of us were able to get a good nights sleep

I didn't realize they were in the process of renovating the lobby and the pool was closed.

The breakfast was good.

The lobby was under construction which was not relayed before booking. We were “locked” out of the side entrances as the door fob was not working. There is a corner in the bathroom of room 211 that had water damage and looked like it hadn’t had any attention. The room only had one small trash can, in the bathroom.

Great staff, easy check in/out. Room is always in great condition, up to date, and clean. Breakfast is very good with options and freshness. Great place to stay, also very convenient to the airport for early flights.

Disappointing

I wish I knew the gentleman's name who greeted us & gave us awesome recommendations on what to do & where to eat. The breakfast was fresh & a wonderful assortment to choose from (thank you for making it 'free'). Our room was very large & very clean, the views of the mountains were beautiful! The shower pressure was great and water hot. My ONLY COMPLAINT was that the pool was under construction and it was NEVER STATED ANYWHERE, except the front desk after check in. This was one of the reasons we stayed there and the female clerks were sorta rude and said it was stated on their websight...FYI, IT ISN'T!!! My Only recommendation is my room needed another trashcan or 2 & a slightly larger fridge would have been helpful. If I am ever in Roanoke again I would definitely stay there!

First floor bathroom shower floor was disgisting. Black mold on floor and wall tiles. Bathroom lighting was very low hard to see. Outlets near bed didn’t work. Lighting in room was terrible. Bathroom shower and toilet areas was too small. Bucket in middle of isle walkway to catch leaking from ceiling. Hotel vans parked in front entrance blocking both sides of entrance. Couldn’t get car through to load or unload vehicle. Pool was under repairs. We were not notified until check in. When checking out the front desk person was in breakfast Lounge getting a bagel. Had to wait for her to come over.

Very clean hotel, beds were very comfortable, the water pressure for the showers is freaking aaammaazing, the staff was nice there is a small bar so u can order food and drinks till 11pm,there is a pool and a fitness center however the pool was currently closed due to maintenance over all we would definitely visit this location again. The bathroom is so small you can barely turn around in it. A larger person would have a very hard time due to the door opening towards the bathroom and it being so small. No microwave in the room

This hotel is lovely the rooms are very spacious, comfortable and clean. The location is great, right ooff the highway and surrounded by many places to dine. This hotel has contracts with Airlines and the best rooms are held for flight crews. When I arrived there weren’t any rooms available that wasn’t by an exit door so the first 2 nights I didn’t get much sleep. When I requested to change I was put in front of the elevator so I specifically asked for high floor not by the exit or elevator. The lady that accommodated my request was a little annoyed nonetheless she made it happen. Coming back to Roanoke after being in larger cities it’s always a travel back into time.

We stayed over night and this place was perfect for my family and I. The room was spacious enough for the 6 of us. The breakfast was fresh and had a good selection of items. The staff was super kind, respectful, and accommodating. If we're ever in the area again, we'd definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was good, felt more homemade. The rooms are nice and quiet. Shower in room was poorly updated and held water in pan and did not properly drain. Also the king room I was given had no microwave. Apparently only certain rooms have microwaves. Half the channels on the TV didn't come in.

Very clean room and common areas. They don’t have a gym on site but you do have access to Gold’s gym which is nearby.

Best breakfast buffet I’ve ever had at hotel. Sadly we weren’t feeling well after eating at local hot chicken place but the hotel is hands down a great place to stay. Beautiful spacious room with a view. Comfy couch and very nice bathroom. The shower has great water pressure. Very clean. Very nice staff. Highly recommend.

Location was great, close to shopping and dining. Flexibility of parking larger vehicles, boats etc in adjacent parking lot. Staff was great, breakfast was nice, and beds were comfy. Pool was not open, although they did have option to go to local golds gym for free. Just was an inconvenience

A perfect stop for our road trip! The hotel was clean, spacious, and ideal for a family of five needing a comfortable place to rest for the night. The location was excellent—conveniently close to stores, gas stations, and a variety of restaurants. It made for an easy and enjoyable evening stop, giving us time to relax and enjoy some family time before getting back on the road the next morning.

Breakfast could have been better. A waffle station would be great and the coffee is like water. Would not choose breakfast here but would definitely stay again.

The room was ok but don’t stay in one right outside the elevators, was noisy all night. Staff didn’t remember to schedule my shuttle ride to the airport.

The location the breakfast and staff were amazing As always this is why I continue coming back to this location It's advertised on the web and in booking that they have an indoor pool. They do have an indoor pool however it is non operational indefinitely. You have to leave the property to use a gold's gym pool down the road.

There was a bug in my room, when I was moved to a different room I came back from dinner to find a bug on the door of my new room. I was extremely uncomfortable and concerned by seeing two bugs in the hotel /

Location was convenient. They have a mall nearby and many restaurant options. Toiletries( e.g wash soap bottle was empty) were not provided. The hallways were not cleaned regularly. Coffee filters and other items were not refilled in 2 nights stay.

Unfortunately I was not able to stay because I was considered a local and they don't rent rooms to locals even though it was a whole winter storm and the roads were in terrible conditions. They still told me I couldn't stay. Basically just drive on the road and hopefully not kill yourself. Insane

We did not have a phone in our room. I tried to call the front desk with my cell, but I kept being sent to voicemail. As result I had to go down and get towels. No outlets on the right side of the room. I had to plug my cell on the other side of the room. Only 2 outlets, no UBS ports.

That was one of the main reasons we booked. We got a King room and they gave us one on the first floor a couple of doors down from the kitchen. Our room reeked of bacon most of the night as they did breakfast prep and the HVAC sucked the cooking smells into our room. Normally that wouldn't bother me but the greasy smoke smell was super thick. Also, the bathroom was the most poorly designed ever. The toilet and shower were basically in a closet and you had to practically stand in the shower to open the door. Check in time was at 3 and we were there at around 3 and went to our room. There was a maintenance guy in there caulking around the edges of the floor. Why right at check in? The floors were laminate and had not been swept or mopped apparently; I wore socks thinking they'd be clean and my clean socks were wrecked walking to the door and back. The bed was super uncomfortable - like lying on plywood with a little polyfil on top. I was expecting more from the Hyatt brand, I'll be honest.

Great, large rooms and delicious full breakfast with hot and cold items. The indoor pool water was freezing even when it was 80 degrees outside so that was a bummer… if you offer a pool you really should invest a little more to turn up the water temperature but that was the only issue. Restaurants in the area to dine out at too.

The hotel was super convenient and quiet. Excellent condition room and lobby. A great place to stay in Roanoke. Terrific breakfast too!

The room i was assigned shouldn't be assigned to anyone it was beside the elevator and a lot of noise. Everytime it was going up or down the noise was like inside the room.

The check in staff was terrible. Booking was wrong and the manger was very rude and inconsiderate and refused to refund my money I had to go all the way to Hyatt corporate to get my money refunded. Will never book at this particular location again

Overall it was a nice stay. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I paid extra for a high floor king but ending up staying on the 3rd floor. I would like to think all rooms would have the same amenities except for bed size and floor preference. But the high king that I paid extra for, didnt have drawers, a microwave, a safe, or a tub. The room I was moved to had everything except the tub. A family member stayed 2 rooms down on the same floor. They had a 2 queen room with a tub, but no safe or microwave.

Breakfast was available at 4:00 am before 6:00 am flight. Friendly staff and airport shuttle were great. Very clean and nice room, also quiet.

Conveniently located, and many dining options within a short drive from the hotel. My only complaint is that the pool was not heated and was VERY cold.

Clean, friendly staff, however pool was out of service in a 4th of July weekend. Thankfully I booked through Expedia and I was refund a night and for the inconvenience they credited me $ on my keycard.

Friendly staff, conveniently located to the mall, restaurants, and airport. Free shuttle from and to the airport. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable.

We came for the pool which I was told when we arrived it was closed for repair. Said we could use golds gyms pool. Took us there that was also broke. Staff was very helpful and had great customer service

There’s a pool & gym & the breakfast was wonderful! The hotel is conveniently located near lots of restaurants & it’s an easy off & on the freeway for all the explaining we did.

I made a reservation there because of the pool and when I got there the pool was not available. No compensation no sorry from the staff no nothing just can't use it. Nothing mentioned on their website. Very disappointing. No AC in the elevator. It was 100° outside so inside the elevator was 100°

Property and room was clean. Plenty of parking. Staff very friendly. Breakfast options very limited. When I tried to order from the restaurant they have they didn't have what i wanted to order food or drinks. (So i had to pay to have food delivered and pay delivery fees)The pool was unavailable- did offer for me to go to Gold's gym (but honestly thats not the same) Yet with these not available i still had to pay full price for room and never even offered a discount due to these inconveniences.

Everything is good. Travel to Roanoke for a family reunion. The only thing was it was six of us traveling and they ran out of towels.

It was convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. We had to wait for 10 minutes before the hotel clerk came out and then theh ralked so low I coildnt hear them. I am hearing impaired and people that work the front desk should speak loud and clear

We stayed for a baseball tournament. The overall experience was good. My complaint is the room had lots of pet hair on the floor (could see on our socks). Also pets were allowed in the breakfast area near the food, which is disgusting!!

The Hyatt Place met our needs for our latest trip, any concerns we easily and expeditiously resolved. The staff was professional and on their job. Will be booking again.

Was great nice and clean but paid online and did not inform before hand that you have to be 21 and the pool was closed.

Was nice with spacious rooms. Unfortunately i am uncertain whether i will return. The staff was okay. When we first arrived at the hotel, the staff was great particularly Hannah. She was very welcoming, hospitable and professional. When we existed and returned to the property, she would always greet us. However the evening staff was not as welcoming particularly Joey. When returning to the property he questioned us as if we were not supposed to be there. Mind you he saw my daughter and son in the gym the night before. He had the same nasty attitude. My daughter asked him a question regarding gym hours. He answered with a nasty attitude like she was bothering him. The complimentary breakfast was horrible. They ran out of coffee and oatmeal. The powdered eggs tasted like powder. The houskeeping cleaned my room one time during my entire stay. I requested housekeeping twice. The first day of cleaning was good. They changed the bedding, exchange dirty towels for clean ones and emptied the trash. The second day, they gave us fresh towels only. They did not remove the dirty towels, take out the trash and left dirty coffee cups etc.

I booked this hotel mostly for the indoor pool and it wasn’t open during our stay. I asked when they thought it would be reopened and was told “I have no clue”. This was supposed to be an anniversary trip and we were excited to get to swim.

I initially I thought booking 2 Double beds meant 2 queen beds. Once at the hotel the room we received was a King and a sofa bed. Not a problem but a little misleading. Hyatt Place upgraded us to a different room which was wonderful. Unfortunately they did not have a 24 hour airport shuttle which was a bummer.

The place was great and clean. The pool was out of order whilst I was staying there. The free breakfast provided by the hotel was very lackluster. Overall would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay!

Overall stay was ok. Been disappointed that the pool was out of service and that was one of the reasons for the hotel.

Convenient location to airport. Comfortable room.

The only downside was the elevator, which was quite slow, but it was manageable. We will definitely use this place again. Thank you!

I believe the property exaggerated the square footage of the room. It stated that the room is over 800 square feet but it’s not. It may not be more than 450 square feet

We had a double queen room that was large and clean. However, this room was strangely designed with a tiny room for tub and toilet that was hard to maneuver in. You had to move need the tub to close the door when using the tub. There was another area in the room that had no real purpose where the refrigerator, microwave and safe were kept. Also the safe was not bolted down and can be carried away. This room had no real furniture but 3 boxes used to hold the safe, microwave and refrigerator. And lastly the room didn’t had a hair dryer and none was available at the front desk.

Property was in a location where there was plenty of shopping and restaurants. However, the bathtub would not drain, bed sheets were ripped/torn, and the restaurant was not open except the continental breakfast

It was a wonderful stay, Hannah, at the fron desk was so very kind and went out of her way to make me feel special as she learned that my husband had just died.

Cons. I requested a room with a king sized bed and bathtub. The first room they placed me in, where fairly spacious, had full sized bed. Maybe it was a queen at best, but absolutely wasn't a king, not even a California king. The bathroom was a handicap accessible bathroom where there was no separation of shower and the rest of the bathroom. So I went down, let them know I didn't think it was the right room, explained why it wasn't correct and showed them what I requested in my receipt. Told them it didn't matter what floor it was on. Kept me on the same floor, said the only other room was by the elevator, which really didn't bother me. This room was half the size as the first, same sized bed and still no bathtub. It did have an actual shower with sliding doors, but the bathroom was maybe only slightly bigger than the elevator itself. I didn't care to keep going up and down to get this resolved so I gave up at this point. I was down there to visit a good friend and attend her wedding and didn't want to waste time getting this fixed.

This hotels location was near shopping mall and restaurants. I appreciated that it was so clean in the lobby and my room. Would stay here again.
