Dog relief area was located right next to the hotel but there was more mulch than grass.

This Hampton Inn is so much more than you would expect from a Hampton Inn and it’s so convenient. Thank you again!

I highly recommend this hotel. It is safe, beautiful and comfortable in a fantastic location. It is much less expensive than the other downtown hotels and may be nicer. Breakfast and coffee are good. Rooms are spacious and nice. Bathrooms have everything you need along with lighting and water pressure.

The hotel itself is very clean. Our room was spacious, and the shower was nice and big. The bed was comfortable. Hampton Inn breakfasts leave a lot to be desired, in my opinion, but that's not this hotel's fault. You are within walking distance of bakeries and breakfast places. If you have kids, they will probably be happy with the waffle iron and sprinkles. This will be our first choice next time we are in Roanoke.

However, from about 11p-4a I was woken up repeatedly by people making very loud sexual sounds for hours on end which illuminated the entire area. Luckily my kids weren’t with me, but as a mature adult it was the most classless distasteful experience I’ve had at any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I called the front desk a few times when I couldn’t take it anymore and got no answer. Will be awaiting a response from the management team. This ruined my entire trip I decided to drive all the way back home 3.5 hours exhausted vs extending my stay for the full weekend due to this experience.

The hotel was fine. We were in the accessibility room, and it was ok, but the box spring of the bed was broken and there was only one trash can. I did tell them about the box spring when we checked out. Hopefully it gets fixed before the next customer.

The property was very clean. The customer service was excellent. The receptionist met. He was very helpful and communicated well with what I needed it. He is greatly appreciated. It was easy to find the location of the elevators and the other facilities in the hotel because they were labeled. My husband didn’t like that the mattress in the bed was firm, and the pillows were too soft. Everything was good to me.

The room is very nice. However, no one to help with your luggage and we had to wait close to an hour for a luggage cart upon our arrival. Then leaving we were stuck on a broken elevator for an hour. I will say the staff was awesome that got us out of there. We are so grateful to each of them. I live in Roanoke and my friend was in from out of town. I wanted to treat her to a special stay while she was here. It was between Hotel Roanoke or Hampton Inn. I wish now I would have picked Hotel Roanoke because of the amenities. The room at Hotel Roanoke was not much more than Hampton Inn either.

We discovered that Roanoke offers Fourth of July fireworks on July 3, so we took advantage and went for a two nights day. Great location, lots of choices for food and overall a great experience.

The Property itself was great and staff was excellent. The town has a clear drug problem and sadly they deal and hang outside between the space and Starbucks. Outside of that a great stay!

Location was perfect with the market being across the street! The only thing was the beds weren’t that comfortable (too firm) and the hot water was not that hot… just warm enough but definitely not for someone who loves hot showers. Other than that, this hotel was great. We had a mountain view balcony room and it was spectacular!

Breakfast could of had a greater variety and an overview of hotel security would have been helpful. (not explained that you needed to use your key in the elevator to reach upper rooms of the hotel. There were no trays to carry breakfast foods to the room. Not everyone desires to eat in the breakfast area.

Great stay. Check in was fast with unload/loading area right out front. Parking garage beneath had plenty of spaces. Location was convenient to walk to restaurants & local market within minutes. Staff were all friendly. Room was spacious and updated.

It was fine. Had participated in the No Kings protest and the hotel was near the protest site with good and reasonably priced parking. Ate at Fortunato for dinner which was perhaps a 10 minute walk.

The rooms are not well kept, carpet squares are down in the rooms and most are coming up, mattress was very uncomfortable with lumps, shower drain clogged and room had musty smell, PLEASE instead stay at Hotel Roanoke which is BEAUTIFUL, classic and SO WELL maintained and also very convenient to located in Roanoke

Location was absolutely perfect for the Blue Ridge marathon weekend. The parking was validated with my stay, all staff were very polite and courteous, and the room was clean! All elevators were working, and the breakfast selection was good each morning. Thankfully, this hotel is located downtown and convenient to restaurants, coffee shops, boutique shopping. Elmwood park is across the street which made for an easy walk to race day, packet pickup, and concerts.

The hotel was within walking distance to what I needed. Check-in was easy and it felt safe. I liked the added feature of having to use my keycard before the elevator would go up to the rooms. The room was very spacious and met all of my needs. The free breakfast was also nice.

Great hotel with super continent attached parking garage. The only downside was I had to walk out of the parking garage and around to the front of the hotel pulling my suitcase in the rain to go in. Seems silly to have the garage right in the back but no direct entrance to the hotel. But other than that, the hotel was nice and clean and breakfast was very delicious.

I was then assigned a new room that overlooked the street but still didn’t have a balcony. At that point, I was too tired to go back downstairs to sort it out again and decided to let it go since it was only a one-night stay. Later, I discovered that the curtains in the room wouldn’t close completely. Despite my best efforts, the three curtain panels wouldn’t stay in place, and I ended up spending the night with light shining into the room. It made for an incredibly uncomfortable night and poor sleep. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times when visiting Roanoke for business and always had great experiences. This time, however, I was disappointed. My room was not as I reserved, even after requesting the change, and the issue with the curtains made the stay unpleasant. I’m hesitant to return after this experience.

Enjoyed the ease of choosing our room and using the phone as a key. The connection between the hotel and the garage is a bit wonky and the pet area is just some grass in downtown Roanoke (not separated which is a bit weird). We did not speak to an employee during our entire stay (felt automated which again is not terrible).

Only downside was a staff member who should not be in any customer facing role except maybe collections or prison guard. Other staff were fantastic and customer-focused. Robust and tasty breakfast although there are many fine breakfast restaurants. For dinner try Sixth & Sky - superb!

It was great to park the car and leave it until our return home. Everything we wanted to see/do was within walking distance.

My son and I were looking for a comfortable place close to downtown where we could celebrate his arrival, and Hampton Inn was perfect. I appreciated the close by-dog walking parks; my trash cans for dog waste might have been good.

Love the hometown and city life mix of downtown Roanoke Va. The hotel and staff were great. This was our second time staying at the Hampton Inn and we are looking forward to staying again in the near future.

The hotel is in the heart of downtown. Walking distance to everything. We had a issue with the hvac unit and ended up being moved to another room but the hotel was very apologetic.

We have stayed here several times and it is in a great location, walkable downtown & easy adjoining public parking garage. Better than average breakfast and pleasant staff. However this visit we noticed the hotel needs some updating. Nightstand usb ports broken, refillable soap & toiletries missing from bathroom & water damaged cabinet containing the refrigerator. Overall wear & tear starting to show. Will look at other options next visit.
