Lobby area and bar were fine, but the room and hallways smelled like old wet clothes. The smell in the hall was just as bad. Had to open sliding door overnight to help. Dark and dingy overall. Not worth the Marriott price tag by any means. Not a hotel I will come back to. Also, they charge extra if you drive. Really, $5 to park at the hotel Im staying at.

She explained since I booked thru Expedia, like it was a no no, she didn’t Have a receipt. Understandable but the tone was not acceptable. Hate that because u do have a nice property.

Room was spacious with 2 beds and lots of room., and it was clean. The room got too warm in the night, and there was no way to control the thermostat. The hotel charged me for merely parking there. No complimentary breakfast or even coffee. How about just a little coffee? Won't be back!

Loved everything the room was spacious, clean,and quiet. Staff was amazing. I paid cash so since I did i had to put a $250 cash deposit, I did get it back when I checked out but it was less money I had for spending that I wasnt expecting.

quick and easy in and out trip while on the road. Enjoyed proximity to downtown Roanoke -- try Lucky restaurant -- yum. Always disappointing to not be able to have a fresh cup of coffee on early departures. Starbucks not opened and in room coffee was not drinkable.

The best part was Lizzie, who checked me in. I was in town for a hockey tournament and arrived at 1pm for my son's 3pm game, and she was able to get me in early so he could change.

The property and rooms were very nice. The only two surprises were, no luggage rack in my room and the breakfast situation. The room was otherwise very nice and spacious. Breakfast was not included; however there was a breakfast service for a charge. The hotel location was very close to the airport and the local mall. Great location overall.

We just stayed one night and it was clean and comfortable. What stood out was how accommodating and helpful the staff were.

The room was nice and comfortable. The only thing I thought was odd was in Room 215 the toilet is missing a bolt. Which is whatever, but the hole where the bolt should be is lit up. I realized it at night. I just thought that was odd that it is lit up between floors.

We only stayed one night, but check in was smooth and convenient. The room was clean and nicely decorated and we slept very well, not a given when staying away from home.

I didn’t get the room that I paid for and the room was 20 outdated with dirty floors. I will never stay in that location again

Always a good experience. We stay there several times a month. I had an emergency the last time i stayed and the hotel was very accommodating to me and my family.

The property was clean and the staff were polite and helpful. I had not realized that breakfast was not included, so that was a disappointment.

Room was clean. Bathroom could use some upgrades. Commode was quite contrary. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

The mattress in my room was hard and not very comfortable. The food options at the hotel on the property were very limited. There was a restaurant but it was limited and expensive.Also there was no housekeeping done during my 2day stay which led to stacks of trash in very small trash cans in the room.

Wonderful stay! Check in was easy! Room was clean, and bed was very comfortable. It has a bistro on site and Starbucks which is very convenient for coffee drinkers and late arrivals. The airport shuttle service was convenient and easy reach.

Check in was super easy. The young lady at the front desk had us checked in with cards for our room in less than 5 minutes. Room was super clean, bathroom was spotless, mattress and pillows were comfy. We did grab some food (Cobb and Caesar salads) and drinks at the in house Bistro and the food was great after a long day, and the drinks were cold; and our barkeep was super friendly and accommodating. Had a great night sleep and left in the morning refreshed for the drive back Home. We will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

Great spot for a 1 night stay. The property was very clean and spacious. We traveled with teen kids and having a spacious room was a big plus for us. The area around had lots of great dinning options and was nice and quiet.

We spent the entire evening in the Courtyard. Visiting family that has an Autistic child gave us the perfect setting.

Noons at the front desk for long periods of time. Hotel is a dump. Room smelled of cigarettes. Decrepit hotel. Bathroom was dirty. Sliding door required excessive force to open as the door rollers non-existent.

Not a fresh fresh look for me clean but not fresh. It did not sparkle.

Our room was very comfortable and was convenient for an overnight stay. Everything was clean and the lobby/restaurant was extremely nice. We particularly enjoyed the Starbucks in the bistro.

I had a great time at the Courtyard Marriott. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. I especially liked the free shuttle service to and from the nearby Roanoke airport which was very helpful. The van they use for shuttle service could use some cleaning as the seats had stains.

Marriott is beautiful. Clean. Pool and hot tub were very nice. It would have been great if the pool was heated but that was okay. Nice towels were provided. Food at the bistro as very good. Lobby was gorgeous and I had a place to work in the morning. I would have liked more room in the room. Overall, great stay.

We were staying overnight driving from NY to SC. The hotel is close to everything, family friendly, and great price for our needs.

It's very clean there, quiet, and an overall nice hotel to stay at. Their restaurant has good food and they have a little store just in case you need a Tylenol or want a candy bar. You can do everything right there. The pool and hot tub were clean and fun. Seriously, this was a good experience, because I've definitely had some bad ones at other hotels, especially when it comes to cleanliness.

This is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed at. The room was spotless, very updated, and service was absolutely excellent. The pool and spa were likewise sparklingly clean, and everything appeared to be brand-new. The amenities were excellent, and my stay was, too. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone who needs a good night's sleep, and peace of mind.

Very stylish and modern Hotel. The rooms are beautiful. Hot tub was out of order which was kind of a bummer but the indoor pool was nice although not very warm for winter months. Food and beverage option was nice especially Starbucks. Check in was quick and easy. We loved that check out is noon instead of 11:00.

Great place to stay. We always choose Courtyard when in Roanoke.

I stay in Roanoke once a week and finally found a hotel where I felt safe, clean and restaurants not too far away.

It was an amazing stay, wanted a little stay cation for the weekend and the front desk made a point to say that the hotel does not let local people stay. Which confused me on situations where family my come into town. But other than that interaction it was an amazing stay!

I THINK THE STAFF WAS FINE; HOWEVER, WHEN I WALKED IN MY ROOM THE SMELL OF CAT URINE KNOCKED ME DOWN. HOPING IT WAS IN MY HEAD I IGNORED IT AND WENT ON WITH MY EVENING. THE FOLLOWING DAY IT HAD SUBSIDED BUT WHEN I RETURNED TO MY ROOM THE FOLLOWING NIGHT THE CAT URINE ODOR KNOCKED ME DOWN AGAIN. IT WAS COMING FROM THE BATHROOM AREA. I AM IN THE AREA EVERY OTHER WEEK, AND WILL JUST CHOOSE NOT TO STAY THERE AGAIN.

We had an absolutely wonderful Christmas visit! We had two rooms and we spent Christmas together. We really enjoyed the fruit water upfront and we really enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. The room was big enough to accommodate everyone comfortably. Very very pleased. Will definitely stay here again.

The Bistro is the perfect option at the end of the day. Friendly service and satisfying food and wine. Other hotel staff are also friendly and helpful.

All hotels/motels are emphasizing for guests staying multiple nights to reuse the towels and linens. I'm all for that, but these businesses need to supply the rooms with more hooks and fixtures to hang up those towels and washcloths, to allow them to dry for the additional day use. One towel rack that holds 3 tightly folded towels and one hook behind a bathroom door is not nearly enough.
