iT SURPRISED ME THAT THEY PROVIDED FREE 110 V CHARGING FOR MY EV

Motel was a bit hard to find even with GPS. It's at the far end of a winding commercial street, but there was no sign at the entrance to confirm that this was, in fact, Best Western. Otherwise, amenities and breakfast were fine, but the motel itself could use some renovations. In particular, the small indoor swimming pool was located just off the lobby area -- sort of like swimming in a fish bowl.

The room: the carpet had not been shampooed/steam cleaned in a very long time; the caulking at the base of the toilet was partially missing; the acrylic bar on the fiberglass tub-shower came loose when I held it in the shower for stability. Very loud drunken neighbors at midnight.

It was a very comfortable hotel, and the breakfast was very good! The staff was very friendly, and provided extra towels and other items when I informed her I had two kids with me. I had nothing I didn't like about this hotel.

Location to Mall and restaurants were great, Pool was open til 11 which was nice, and breakfast was 1 of best had at a hotel in awhile 1st room had a leaking toilet so we had to switch rooms, wouldn't be bad but ended up being charged for both rooms, waiting for refund in next couple of days

Right from the start Carson greeted us with hospitality and kindness, beautiful person. The breakfast was a beautiful presentation and the lady, was very helpful. Wish I caught her name. Actually it was very pleasant.

Fine stay when in Roanoke. Hotel is easily accessible from the airport and the staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is standard, but room is spacious and has anything you would need for a short stay. Parking is also easy and plentiful.

Two “queen” beds is actually two double beds and the AC unit created a moldy, musk smell the entire trip.

The carpets in the hotel is very old and nasty especially room 120 1st floor smell like pee the further you go. The toilets needs replacement an repair the front desk Sherri said we need to flush better and in between stools. The staff cant fix this situations the hotel need improvement repairs to do it the make ober it need. My covers was very stained they moved us (my aunt 83) from room 120 to 224 after i saw her give guest rooms closer to the elevator after asking she told me it was a booked weekend ( this wasn't sherrie)this time(the black woman whom checked us in. After hr of re moving because 1st room was filthy. Rm 224 was further from exits an no phones working in this hotel an only amenities for 3 are in this room so back to walking again to front desk the next morning so day two now finally some great news roo. 101 but the remove for the 3rd time has reach exhausting , but it was needed due to my aunt, not able to walk well she has a cane. I had to ask for our cookies too never offended.

Had booked 2 rooms with 2 queen beds. The rooms honestly could have been cleaned much better i wiped down the room and the rug was dirty still the ac smelt moldy and the rooms both smelt disgusting, but the bed was very comfortable and no bugs. The staff i encountered was kind and helpful. Tvs had been updated which was nice. Just wish the room was cleaned better. And the smell wasnt super bad deff needed to deodorize the carpet.

They had a nice selection at breakfast. Check in was quick and easy. The building itself was in very good condition, baseboards and door frames weren’t beat up, chipped or scratched. Our room was clean and in good condition. Staying at this Best Western was a great experience!

The hotel needs some updating. However it is clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful with answering questions. The hot breakfast buffet was very good and kept replenished.

It was very clean.. love that you could get coffee, tea, and cappuccino throughout the day. There weren’t any benches outside to sit and enjoy the scenery and you couldn’t watch tv in the lobby.

The hotel staff were very nice, caring & observant. When I got sick in their lobby, they moved very fast and got me the medical attention I needed. The older female receptionist checked on me when I returned to make sure I was OK & if I needed anything. They all went beyond their duties to make sure our whole family was OK while I was in the hospital. We were out of state so we appreciated the kindness. The pool was not available for the kids the first day

It was convenient from I81. That all the pet friendly rooms were together. Our dog is quiet but every room around us a dog would bark and others barked. Made our dog nervous. The room also smelled really bad.

On the downside, the hotel feels pretty outdated, and the carpet in the rooms really needs to go—it felt worn and not very clean. Noise was also an issue, especially from doors slamming. The location is convenient with plenty of nearby stores and food options, though not very pedestrian-friendly. The area had some unhoused individuals nearby, but the hotel itself felt safe. Staff were friendly enough. Overall, it’s an average stay. Good perks, but it would benefit a lot from updates—especially removing the carpet.

We arrived very late and our check-in was quick and seamless.

Very comfy, several places to charge electronic devices, pool water warm, beds very soft Pan handlers (2) in the parking lot, handicapped parking was a bit far ( not too far but a few steps) from side entrance, coffee pot but no coffee in the room. Its ok.

By far this is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. I had to switch rooms because the mattress pad in the room I was originally put in had debri and hair all over it. Housekeeping wasnt available to change the bedding so they made me move rooms. The 2nd room was no better. The sheets, mattress pad, and mattress cover all had huge disgusting stains on them.

The bed was very nice and the breakfast was very good. The TV was inoperable (could not get a signal) and the bathtub faucet had a continual drip that made us keep the door closed due to noise.

This was resolved once a plunger was located and given to my husband so he could fix the problem. We will be looking for a new place to stay. One that has the promised pool.

It was a really nice stay with great staff, soft towels and a really comfy bed which is always a pet peeve for me. The only issue I had was the thermostat in the room was not functioning correctly, but besides that it was an amazing stay! They even had a indoor pool with people actively swimming which was a nice touch if I was in the mood to swim lol Would stay again anytime!

This clean and safe hotel has many dining options within walking distance. Parking is plentiful. We love the 24 hour coffee machine in the lobby and the pool. Breakfast is wonderful. Staff is always welcoming snd helpful. The property is located close to the highway ( but not right next to it) and there is a mall close by.

I had an amazing stay as I frequent this hotel. Carson and Bobbi Jo represent this safe , friendly and welcoming environment for a senior , who could not travel as safely and securely as I do from and to here.

I’m just from the time we got there we were greeted professionally given the keys to our room, the room was very clean and set up nicely with iron and ironing board refrigerator, microwave coffee machine, TV and chargers for electric vehicles. The only thing that I did bring to the concierge attention was an item in the bathroom that fell off of the wall holding the shampoo or shower gel bottle that could fall onto someone’s feet when they’re showering if it’s not attached properly. Honestly, other than that, I say this was five stars hands down, waking up to a hot breakfast was a plus. I would definitely recommend and if I had to come back down to visit family you better believe this will be the hotel for me. I also love the fact that there were shopping nearby and food establishments thank you guys for making my wife and I stay very pleasing.

The location is very remote, though there are options to eat. Pool area was okay, and front desk helpful. Worst part was at the pool and the people who were extremely loud and took up the whole pool then were rude to the front desk worker.

Clearly Outdated. Just completed a road trip through 5 different states, of all the hotel stays this was the most expensive yet worst one we stayed at. And the others were all top name chain hotels also. Probably will steer clear of BW in the future.

I was greeted by a very nice woman. The only problems was my rooms door lock was not working properly. I walked to the front desk to see if they could help me get back into the room and she said to try again and pull up and down and it should work. She said others had complained too. Also I was able to hear the people in the next room, thin walls perhaps. Room was clean. Thanks

Nice location 1 mile from ROA airport. Very near Valley View mall and many restaurants. I paid over $200 w/taxes for a king room and it had a smell, as did the 1st floor hallway. Also, they advertised a pool online and it was out of order. Good place, but overpriced.

The pool was closed, I chose this hotel based on having a pool. Stayed 3 nights and they never cleaned room or offered new towels. The towels were very thin to have to use them for 3 nights.

They had a flood so there were plumbing issues. Our toilet broke 3 times and we were not even there for 24 hours. Half of the outlets did not work. At 3am there were people fighting in the hallway.

Comfy bed quiet dog had a good time breakfast was the same every day but it was hot

Front desk staff was absolutely incompetent and useless. Had absolutely no idea what she was doing. Everything confused her.

Very disappointing. Advertized as indoor pool but the pool was closed when we arrived. We should have received a reduced rate since that was not available, yet the pool was listed as one of the amenities. When checking in, staff was not.friendly.

Nice property. I'll stay again here if I'm in the area.

My husband and I enjoyed our night together while at Best Western Stay plus… When we most likely visit again this is where we will be staying Staff is very nice and helpful….

Room 121 refrigerator did not work furniture in room was damaged not sure how long would not want to sit on it

Excellent experience. My only comment is you must put a sign of your name right at the front of the building. We had trouble finding the building and we had to ask your neighbor Hyatt and he sent us next door to you. Hyatt, Confort Inn, Hampton Inn have their sign. Why don’t you do the same?

Lovely place for our hockey tournament

Place is in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint and new carpets. My only real complaint is they have Sunbeam low-flow shower heads. I took a way longer shower than I should have because I just couldn’t feel clean due to the nonexistent water pressure. Overall, a good hotel for the price.

$20.00 for dog. Recliner type chair in room. The only con was the not very friendly guy in the morning. That didn’t really matter, it was still a very good stay. Also, with hotels.com, I bought the insurance. Might have been a waste of money, but it made me feel good.

Staff friendly. Usually stay here once each year in January. Consistently clean.

I enjoyed my stay here. This property goes out of their way to help you by providing a lot of information pertaining to your stay, once you get there information like access to the Internet, which many facilities and properties do not.

Chrck-in amd the room were great. My only complaint is that there was non-stop noise in the hallway. You could hear people talk, laughing and yelling all night. I did peek out at one point and there were several people in the hall hanging out with the front desk attendant. I wasnt able to sleep due to the commotion.

There was items in the trash can when we arrived, and there was toilet paper in the peepholes. Noise from the dogs since it is pet friendly (not complaining about that, we were aware dogs were allowed, just something to be aware of) staff was rude. Breakfast wasn’t great.

It was decent, close to mall for a shopping trip however after the pool I noticed the shower was luke warm and next morning our tv stopped working, other than that it was great

The staff that night we checked in was not very friendly didn't greet me when I came in seemed a bit irritated that they had to do any work. I was charged a pet fee which I was not aware of at all on hotels dot comit was not listed anywhere this was one of the reasons we booked this particular hotel. The refrigerator in the room did not work, there was trash behind the TV stand, Every time we turned the light switch off that was right inside the door For the main lights in the room,everything turned off in the room This included all lights the TV the refrigerator the coffee the heat. The coffee machine was filled with filthy water and all kinds of grit and grime it also didn't work when I tried to use it after cleaning it. The pillows even though there were 4 of them on my bed which was nice they were all terribly lumpy and uncomfortable the bed itself was very comfortable. Staff the next morning was friendly and the food area was very clean.

We had a mouse about 5 inches long as a roommate!!! Couldn’t sleep was scared to death!!!

The staff was amazing!! Each and every person I worked with was kind, knowledgeable, professional and yet personable. The room was clean. The facility is a bit older, but the team there does a wonderful job keeping it lovely and clean.

Tables top deck top are not cleaned. The blanket Worn out.

The carpet was in a bad state, especially by the entrance. Very strong smell in the room. Sticky surface on the shelves and the coffee machine didn’t work. Conclusion it was not like the images presented on the website.

When my college friends converge on Blacksburg for a game, we stay here. It has some wear and tear and isn’t the newest property, but for the price, convenient location and extremely pleasant staff, it’s a no-brainer for us.

Convenient to everything. Safe area and quiet. Lovely place to stay. Has small indoor pool and cocoa cappacino maker on lobby.

Room was very dated. Tv remote was on the floor under the bed and made me question if the room had actually been cleaned. The curtain handle was leaning against the wall.

Comfy beds in decent rooms - good value for money - overall decor looked tired - some noise overnight from road and pipes above.

The bed was super soft and comfortable and while not a brand new/renovated hotel my room was very clean and well equipped (lots of towels, and a hand soap pump - rare to find even in luxury hotels!). The staff was very kind and free EV charging on site! Everything I want in a hotel room. Very happy with my stay.

Spacious, very comfy bed, definitely recommend. If I ever come back this way I would stay there again. Good hot breakfast too!

Not real bad yet. But showing its age. Room smelled musty. Breakfast was good but they had very few places to sit and eat. They tried to stuff a few tables in small nearby rooms, but it did not work. You couldn't get to half the seats because the room was so small.

Day crew is very nice. Night crew is not nice and makes it seem you are bothering them.

Bed needs replaced . Higher than normal and slanted peak in middle. Toilet must have handle held down to flush . They must know about this toilet because we stayed in this same room 2 months ago . Still defective .

Although this property is not new overall it was clean and comfortable. The only 2 complaints would be the workout room was a little cramped and the treadmill didn't work properly. Also the American flag flying on the pole was worn and torn. My wife told the front desk it should be retired and replaced.

Hotels.com needs to alert travelers when "locals" are not allowed to stay at specific hotels. I live within two hours of this hotel and am considered a "local". My flight landed after midnight and after traveling all day, I knew it wouldn't be safe to drive home. That's why I reserved a room. The hotel had to wake up a manager at 1:30 a.m. to ask if I could stay because I'm considered "local" and we aren't allowed to stay at this hotel. By the time I got settled into my room and then, left in time for check out, I'd spent a pretty penny for a 6 hour nap. Another on- line Booking site alerts locals about hotels that don't take their business, so Hotels.com needs to do the same . I am aware of the situation in my area, but it's not something I need to deal with coming off of a late night flight. What I saw of the hotel was nice and the bed was comfortable, but due to geography, I can't say that I will ever stay here again.

The lady at the front desk was very nice and pleasant.

The breakfast area was tiny and very crowded. It looked like the building was designed before they offered breakfast so they stuck it back in a corner that was not actually big enough. Needs to be redesigned and opened up.

Clean and comfortable room. Plenty of working EV chargers out front. Check in process was pretty slow for some reason and the sliding doors at the entrance are really loud and could use maintenance.

Rooms and bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Very nice hot breakfast with a varity to choose from. Staff friendy. Highly recommend this hotel

It was a good econo hotel. The room was comfy and clean. Though the conditioner needed to be filled. I would definately stay again. The number of electric car chargers was really great. Easily got one. Please install more.

Super clean room and bathroom. Beds were very comfortable. Property is clean and felt safe. I would recommend this one if you have to stay in roanoke.
