We booked this hotel because hotels com said there was a swimming pool. There was no working pool and according to the staff hasn't been for quite a while. False advertising is a huge disappointment.

It was an okay place to stay, there’s not a whole lot of hotels in Rio Rancho. It’s older, our room had some stains on the walls and our bathroom light wasn’t working. Just beware when checking in! I prepaid my stay and when checking in the man up front charged me an extra $160 on top of my deposit. Had to call customer service and they refunded it.

The pool/spa was completely empty and being used as a storage location for spare parts, furniture, and appliances. Some reviews mentioned this but the property is still advertised as having a pool. This needs to change. A side door leading outside the property had to be closed in just the right way in order to lock and was frequently left open and unlocked which is a significant security risk. The employees were pleasant, but not very good at communicating or explaining policies or understanding concerns due to poor English comprehension. Overall, this property does not provide an experience worth the amount they are charging. I've stayed at locations that charge half as much for better quality.

It had decent offerings. Maid service was poor. Some lights with no bulbs, plumbing issues, the towels smelled, the external exit to and from the 2nd floor would not shut completely so insecure and the stairs were a hazard, the lobby was rundown with shabby furniture and there was no elevator.

Breakfast was fine; lots of choices. If you like strong coffee, you won't like the coffee. The room was comfortable with lots of bed pillows, clean towles, sheets, etc. Overall the stay was pleasant.
