The stay was good for the one night we needed. Was very disappointed with the staff on how they handled when we complained about a roach. All they did was give us a spray can and told us to bring it back. They also were very rude when my brother had stopped by for 15-20 minutes

The overnight attendant was helpful. Had to ask for a second room because there was gum and hair riddled throughout the neatly-made bed. Appeared like the room had been used for an hour, if you catch my drift, and resold. In the new room we were kindly allowed to move to, we turned the heat on and smoke started coming out of the AC, tripping the smoke alarm. The attendant immediately burst in and accused us of smoking. He fiddled with the machine for too long before leaving and taking the smoke alarm with him. The bed was extremely UNCOMFORTABLE. The shower handle was broken. We were NOT GIVEN ANY SOAP. You get what you pay for... but there are plenty of other places to stay...

Nothing ... Only stayed one night (booked two nights) at 9am the next day we checked out went to another hotel down the road. Super 8 refused to reimburse us for the second night. This is why we left... Mold infested room... AC no cover with black mold coming out of vent and dead bugs stuck in screen. Bath tub and shower curtin full of black mold Refrigerator/ freezer pink mold inside both Rest of room... No hot water (found out from other guest it was at least 3 days they had no hot water) Mice dropping in room (only found 1st morning) Light shades full of dust Hallways and room had an awful stench Site said breakfast included... no coffee no breakfast

Utter infestation of bed bugs. Staff did not care at all and I had to leave prematurely. It cost me tons of money in laundry and I'm moving so everything I own is in my car. This is absolutely disgusting and can ruin lives.

The front desk staff are ALWAYS kind. It's never a crowded motel. The room we stayed in wasn't well put together. A few things were broken.

I had to buy roach spray because of the number present. Stain on carpet consistent with loosing lunch. Credit card charged 50 dollars for deposit instead of placing a hold.

More like a 1 star property. Scary looking area. Smelled bad right when walking in, like pot smoking and who knows what else. Rock bottom. Stayed alone as a woman for (thank god!) only one night for a conference in the area. Didn’t touch the shower or the carpet. Yikes! You do get what you pay for. Go elsewhere.

The outside is nice and convenient but the room that I had had roaches, the ac didn't cool anything and the microwave didn't work. At least the tv worked. I don't know about the mini-fridge as i didn't use it.

I already left a previous review stating this place is unprofessional. I was kicked out before my stay was complete. I wasn’t given back my deposit either despite there being no damages left to the room, and they called the cops on me even though they were the ones not helping me in my situation. I wasn’t even allowed to retrieve my jacket upon leaving. I was rushed out at night in the middle of a rain storm. I want a full refund due to the inconvenience! I deserve that much after months of giving them my money!

Did not give me my deposit back, kicked me out hours before my stay was complete, called the cops on me when they were the ones being unprofessional and unhelpful. They didn’t even allow me to retrieve my jacket. I want a full refund and/or my deposit back due to the inconvenience of kicking me out at night in the pouring rain.

During our 4 night stay they never cleaned the room and only changed the towels once after I asked for fresh towels. When I asked the front desk for a towel they refused to give me one. The property smelled terribly. Would not recommend.

I have never written a review about a company before in my entire life , so that being said , that should be all you need to read . This place should be condemned. Pictures of the hotel are not accurate , furniture is destroyed , my toilet didn't flush , roaches , blood stains , "white" stains , no comforter . Cops in and out every 5 minutes. Arguments and fights breaking out every night . If I wasn't forced to stay here I would gladly have left

My girlfriend and I came down from PA for the weekend. We checked into our room to shower, and came across a couple things: the water wouldn’t come out of the shower head, and there was a roach in the bathroom. The staff accommodated to get us a new room, but the new room also had a roach. Very unkempt. There were burn holes in the sheets, and the water came in through the window when it rained. Overall, not a good stay.

The check in and out process was easy. The hotel needs a MAJOR remodeling!! There was a weird smell in the lobby/check in area. The bathroom door knob was very wiggly. The desk chair in the room needed to be replaced A.S.A.P.!! It was a black leather chair were the leather had peeled so bad, the seat of the chair looked gray. There was a black shirt left in my room. It is a true roach hotel!!

This hotel was ridiculously dirty and outdated. I had to change rooms twice, not only that, the outlet in my room electrocuted me when I tried to plug in my phone charger, my sheets were dirty, I will never stay at this hotel again. EVER!!!!

We just wanted a place to sleep when we lost power. We found a marijuana pipe and beer bottle caps on the floor. The TV barely worked. We called for more pillows (only 2 tiny ones for a king size bed) and he said they were locked up and he couldn't get them. I never pulled the covers back because I was so disgusted. Luckily our power came back on in the middle of the night so we went back home.

For the price, it's a good stay however the blanket is thin. My only real criticism is that breakfast is not available as advertised. Waffle House, First Watch, and other breakfast spots are close by but remove the breakfast advertising or allow guests to at least get water or bottled juice throughout the day.

This Super 8 is in need of a thorough cleaning. Surfaces were clean, but visible dirt was seen in the corners of the bathroom floor and the window sills. Beds were made but sheets were stained. Mattress was very uncomfortable. I won’t be staying at Super 8 again.

I had accidentally selected smoking, I asked to change it or cancel, I was denied on both. I selected this room in part because it was advertised as breakfast included. When I arrived a sign was up indicating that there is no breakfast. False advertisement. The rooms were old, the location is noisy. I could see the outside through the large gaps between the wall and the ac unit. But at least I lived through it. You get what you pay for i guessi.

Literally worst place I’ve ever stayed. First they gave us a key to a room that was already occupied. Then the room got….. the door had been busted in at some point because the top lock was broken. Floors were too nasty to walk without shoes, sheets were even questionable. How this place is ok to keep running i have no idea.

This property is unsafe and unhygienic. The room was not cleaned, bedsheet had food crumbs, blankets had holes and shower curtain was missing! The entire hotel passage had smoking smell. Breakfast advertised was not available due to budget cut, only coffee served. The only good thing about the hotel was front desk service.

The rooms were filthy. Shower was not clean, nor was the shower head. Furniture was falling apart. Was not dusted or vacuumed. Windows and mirrors needed to be cleaned. You were instructed that our room had 3 people, but not enough towels.

Decent location and price but the sheets were stained, every single bathroom towel and rag had stains on them even a pillow had a stain on it. Luckily I had brought my own stuff. I understand I paid little and got a smoking room but I at least would like for clean stuff. The tub looked like it hadn’t been scrubbed along with the crumbs on the bed and dirt on the floor. Plus the door didn’t even shut the whole way and the dead bolt was halfway snapped off of the door.

staff were friendly and hotel generally clean. however the toilet seat was broken and the tv had no service. friend staying in another room had the same issues. there appeared to be no TV service in the hotel at all.

Definitely not a family friendly environment. Very smokey smell throughout. Could smell marijuana in the hallways. No continental breakfast as advertised. Cigarette burns in the comforter. Rooms smelled smokey even though it was a non smoking room. I cannot rate this room as being satisfactory or average in any way. this was probably my worst hotel room stay in my life.

The place was dirty. Burn holes on the comforter and blankets. Hot water non existent when taking a shower at 9a.m. Only 3 functioning TV channels. Windows held closed with stick in window. No truck parking sign in back of hotel then, family member of owners hotel allowed to park there blocking majority of exit. Staff knocking on the door CONSTANTLY trying to come in during the day.

The room was nice and clean. But the continental breakfast could be better. It was not pleasing at all. Especially, the breaksfast area which is so small.

I was very pleased with the new management at this Super 8. The young man at the service desk was very friendly and made me feel right at home. The room was nice, it looked like it had new carpeting, the bathroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It's an excellent deal for the money and the location is so convenient to anything. I plan on staying there again when I'm in Richmond the first week of Jan. 2020.

Place was real easy to find. The room was clean Staff at check in was very nice. The room did have an odd odor and when we went to check out no one was there which is very odd.

In our non smoking room there were cigarette burns in the comforter. In the bathroom the electrical outlet was sticking out of the wall. Breakfast was minimal and bleak.

The room that given to us is dirty and smelly. We went to receptionist to report this issue. The receptionist gave us another room which is much cleaner than the first one eventhough the bed sheets, pillowcases and towels have a lot of stain. This hotel needs more improvement. The receptionist is helpful.

I have never had to check in a hotel with bullet proof glass very uncool but too late to book elsewhere. Honesty or better description of breakfast would have been appreciated. To me a couple defrosted waffles 1 packet of oatmeal and stale cereal is NOT breakfast. While the folks were nice to many other factors will never have me stay here again and likely never at another super 8 or Wyndham. Sad as I was really looking forward to this get away for a night away after a stressful few weeks

Love staying here

The room was smelly. It was non smoking but the walls and sheets had cigarette burns on them. Everything else was okay. For the price and location I wasn’t expecting five star service, but the employees were really nice. Let’s just say it served its purpose. Bed was comfy and shower was clean, it’s a win in my book with that.

The building smelled like paint or stain. The first room I was put in was not even cleaned and I had to be put into a different room. Someone in the room above us was up all night, thumping all through the night and keeping us up. The windows in the room had no screens and a crack in the window over 12" long that was raised so easily could have broken.

Pleasant front desk check in. Nice remodeled room. Clean comfy beds. Need to get better towels. Overall great value for price.

We stayed ONE NIGHT and checked out immediately in the morning - the fellow? His English was 'doubtful' at best (or so he claimed). Asked for a proof of checking out (so as not to be charged for the other nights we had reserved... he said he had to call his manager... he didn't understand... He called someone who just said YES YES on the phone.. but nothing.. no paper - no receipt. I insisted and refused to walk out without proof of cancelling the next two nights. Finally he tore off a piece of paper (yes TORE IT OFF!) and scribbled CANCELLED and signed "DW" no name - no proof - no title. I'm calling my credit card and blocking... awaiting their 'credit' as they had ALREADY charged three nights across two rooms! RUN THE OTHER WAY!

Well I can totally say you get what you pay for. A fight broke out over night. Someone knocked on my door constantly (I think it was kids) but it made me feel uncomfortable. I will say whatever I asked the front desk to do, they did without complaint. The floors were not clean and there were roaches.

The place was a dump, they called me to see if I was keeping my reservation then when I got there they couldn't find my reservation. The steps look liked they had not been swept in months. The television looked like snow no clear picture, what wifi? beds were hard and the blankets were thin...never again!!

Had a four night stay. 1st night called front desk to let them know the microwave was not working. Had to change rooms on the 3rd night due to bedbugs. Microwave never was replaced or fixed.

when i first walked into the room i noticed that the comforters had stains on them, the pillow case was dirty and one of the sheets on the beds wasn't changed at all. the hotel has a pest problem....roaches to be exsact, and to prove even further that the hotel staff doesn't check behing the housekeepers because i found a half loaf of eaten bread behing the microwave, i asked the reseptionist could i get some clean comforters fro both beds, clean sheets and a clean pillow case, he did comply with my request, but only brought me one clean comforter and one clean pillow case, when i asked could he remove the dirty lineens from my room, he asked if i could let them remain in the room. i was highly upset with the conditions and i did check out to go to another location. Got a full refund of my money, i was offered another room, but I didn't except the off because of the fact if i had seen what i encountered in another room or worse i would have been more upset. The room was very discusting and i wouldn't recomend anyone to stay at this location. I think there needs to be a full investigation, but would not be enformed on when they would have/recieve an inspection.

The room and hallways throughout the hotel were dirty. I had to request that someone come clean the room and they used no cleaning products to accomplish the task.

Under construction, so there are a lot of materials laying around. Room much nicer than when I stayed 2 years ago. Bed is hard and window is broken. But it's otherwise decent for the price

The room itself was nicely put together though. The pictures over the beds were nice and felt some what modern. I guess the biggest issue is cleanliness.

I have been coming to this hotel for months. And within the last month I have had the WORST experience. I have had a male housekeeper enter my room on 2seperate occasions without knocking or any announcement once of which I was undressed and the other I was in bed sleeping. I reported these to the front desk and was told it would be taken care of. Then there was an occasion where I asked for a double room and was booked for a single and once I discovered the mistake was told to either accept a refund and leave or I would have to accept the room no apology for the inconvenience at all. But today was the final straw I woke up to a bed bugs crawling next to my head on my pillow which I have pictures of. When I called the front desk the same representative that confused our rooms previously offered me a refund or another room. After discussing this with my fiancee who paid for the room we decided on refund. When I approached the front desk for the refund the representative was very rude and nonchalant and also took his time and without acknowledging myself got on the phone to call in the refund without letting me know what was being done. When I asked how long it would be he raised his voice and told me he didn't have my card info and the refund had to be done through Expedia. I explained that I would have to come back as someone was waiting on me. I returned in less than 10 mins and the representative had put me on the "do not rent again" list.

This is a hotel just to sleep n run, the beds are very uncomfortable. You get what you pay for, don't look for nothing classy about it. Inside is very dated.

This place was awful. First room stunk of lemons like it was covering up something. Personal hair and excrement stains were in the bathroom. Opened left over soaps from previous guests. Hallways stunk of ethnic food.

The bed was hard and painful, pillows flat, shower walls covered in soap scum, and the freezer in the mini fridge needed to be defrosted. The towel rack was broken. TV remote did not work (the batteries were new, it just would not operate the television), and the volume had to be turned up to near deafening levels to be heard above the sound of the air conditioner.

At a price that was about half what "everyone else" was charging I was very pleasantly surprised to find the staff to be wonderful and the room to have a small fridge and microwave. I made the mistake of not reserving a non-smoking room so this was the first time I have stayed in a "designated" smoking room in decades. The hallway...you could tell it was a smoking floor...but once in the room..I couldn't tell anyone had smoked in it. This is NOT a fancy place, but the location is totally safe, and the price was a very pleasant surprise.
