Friend desk guy was super nice. That was the only thing we liked. There was a died either bed bug or roach smash on the way, no mini shampoos or conditioner were in room no towels or washcloth were in the room, the room was musty, the people in hall ways most the night loud, can of beer left in the hallway outside a door, sounded like someone knocked on door in middle of night or it could have been just those people that were being super loud. We left at 645 am there was no breakfast out! Most places have it out at 6. Overall I probably honestly won’t book there again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great and I was able to rest for my trip but really surprised to see the Wyndham name associated with the facility on-line but not at the location. All in all, it was just not what I expected to experience. I would NOT stay there again.

Convenient waffle house next door. Charged an extra 100 dollar deposit for the service animal of someone staying in the room. Said that i should've put the information in the booking that there was a service animal. I made the booking for 2 guests and there was no questions about a service dog on booking.com. Also, it shouldn't matter anyways. Pretty sure it's illegal to charge for a service animal. Also difficult to hear during check in as they had a thick glass window in front of the front desk with no intercom. The curtain barely fit the window with no privacy screen so if we wanted light and opened the curtains, anyone could look in the window. Only one light in the room worked and all of the towels had odd discolored spots. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

It was supposed to have “breakfast included”. They told us it was not popular and they only have from 6-8 coffee and maybe muffins. It was really a bad joke. Staff was nice and polite. Room was so dirty: sheets, terrible towels, old beds, old furniture, old everything. The room was so noisy. We could hear the closing of doors like bombs and the loud talking of the people crossing the halls, very bad isolation.

This is a warning to families and decent people traveling. Do not stay here. The chain lock was broken and held up by one broken screw. The towels and sheets were stained and gross. The entire hotel smelled like cigarettes and marijuana. There were people wandering the halls and slamming doors. Also, I had the pleasure of listening to a man and woman scream and fight with each other for 3 hours. The single sketchiest night in my life. Run for your life from this place. A disgrace to the chain.

First hotel overbooked so this one at least had a room...Even though the hotel stated a breakfast was included in the price...there was no breakfast offered. There was only coffee and watered down juice. There was holes in the walls. There was no toilet paper holder only a hole in the wall where in should have been. Floor was dirty and outlets were not centered and not enclosed. There were no side table lamps and cords on the floor to the a/c unit. Tv was plugged into an extension cord. Seat cushion on couch was stained. There was no breakfast only juice and cofffee even though the description said Breakfast is included. After being over booked at our first choice hotel and traveling 12 hours for a family emergency, we were left with no other choice but to stay where we knew we had a room.

Back door broken and left open, window didnt lock. I liked nothing about this property. Bed was horrible, tub was clogged, we were on the first floor next to the waffle house, someone was out side our window at 3 am blasting music for over a hr.

Staff was a bit rude and off-putting, the breakfast was just a single tiny muffin and instant coffee, also the rooms could be alot cleaner. The internet is horrible, the tv is old and rustic. The main room light didn't work, the fridge was insanely dirty, the door had a chain lock that didn't work so only lock was the electric key lock, but the door didn't always close properly even when I made sure it was fully closed causing me to constantly check if the door was propped open at night which made me feel highly unsafe.

The staff was very nice and helpful. They do need to learn to slow down when they speak, and work on enunciation. They have very thick accents which were challenging to understand, especially with a glass barrier between them and the customer. The place simply felt run down. It was clean, but it was just old and worn, it needs to be updated. For example, there were no usb ports in the room, there was clearly touch up paint in places that was a different color, the furniture was particle board and showing age. The toilet stopped working on the second day. Worst was the bed, it was bad enough that after two nights of a planned three night stay, I booked a different hotel for the third night and just left. I simply could not sleep on it.

What I like about the property was the rooms was clean. The bathroom was clean. There was no roaches bugs. No homeless people hanging around. The property was neat. No trash on the grounds. They looked nice and presentable. What I didn’t like about the property was the lady at the front desk, she tell you that she’ll give you a discount and then turn around lie and say she didn’t say it ,so that’s what made me not wanna come back to stay another night or week because they tell you that they give you a discount and they don’t, She act like she was the manager for what she said she was.

The front of house woman was insanely rude she refused early check in that her associate granted then lied and said we couldn't get late check out becuUs the room was rented but it wasn't and wanted 25 dollars for late check out even tho policy is 15 dollars. She was harassing all the guests at the hotel threatening them. She was absolutely horrible

I didnt like anything!!!! The 1st bedroom's sheets underneath the blanket was dirty(dirty and hair and stains) 2nd room had blood spots on the sheets which we all know what that meant. Had to sleep in my car, smh. Would not recommendto anyone.

The front desk woman lied to me about charging a $50 refundable deposit fee upon checking in, this is the first time since I’ve been staying at this super 8, I was charged a deposit fee, considering the fact that very same week my friend stayed there and wasn’t charged any deposit fee at all. I have to question her credibility.

I usually don't do reviews but this place was terrible. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets were too small for the comforter and it exposed the plastic on the mattress and it was uncomfortable to sleep on. The water flow was terrible out of the sink and shower. THE TOILET stopped working and when I called downstairs, the guy gave me instructions to fix the toilet myself! He just hung up the phone afterwards and didn't confirm the issue was fixed. Ultimately, it fixed the toilet temporarily. Nobody checked to see if the issue was resolved. Overall the worst places I've stayed.

Well it is what it is. A stay over close to the airport. I slept a total of 3 hours. People outside our room window at 2:30 a.m. did not help matters. Will probably look for nicer accommodations next time.

I always try to rent rooms from the Super 8 Hotels because they are clean and affordable. The Richmond area location was very clean, affordable, staff were great, linen and towels were clean and white not dingy, the bed was very comfortable and it was quiet I got the rest I needed. Only two thing I could complain about was the TV didn't show a clear picture it needed to be replaced and the surprise deposit of 50 extra dollars I had to pay when I arrived at the location which in some cases are refundable and other cases it's not. The extra deposit information should be posted on the Expedia app so consumers can be aware that they will have to pay a $50 deposit plus $25 for each extra person they bring when they arrive at the location. I advise customers to call the Super 8 Hotels location before they book.

Clerk put me in a smoking room where NOTHING worked and had no ashtray. There was no remote for the TV. When I told the clerk he still did not give a remote for the tv. He said he would get me a tv remote, but he did not. Whole place stinks of pot, trash and booze bottles in the corridors. Noisy guests. I do not recommend this place for any reason. I was at least able to get a $78 shower. Pillows might as well have been stuffed with wadded up toilet paper. Management does not inspect the rooms prior to check-in, and housekeeping was sub-par. Hallways were tore up as they seem to be doing repiar work. Pot holes and rubble on bare concrete floors. Felt like I was walking through an abandoned building where you might encounter junkies shooting up in the stairwells. Nothing hospitable about this hotel.

It look like my room haven’t been used in a long time. There was a folk with food on it in the sink drain which was disgusting! My husband had to buy bleach and wipes to clean the room. The key never worked so we had to get our key reset everyday which was annoying and the guy at the front desk don’t speak English very well. I won’t never stay at this hotel again.

The hallways smells like cigarettes. People hangs out in the parking lot smoking hanging around. My first night there, my sheets wasn’t clean nor the bathroom. It look like my room haven’t been used in a long time. There was a folk with food on it in the sink drain which was disgusting! My husband had to buy bleach and wipes to clean the room. The key never worked so we had to get our key reset everyday which was annoying and the guy at the front desk don’t speak English very well. I won’t never stay at this hotel again.

It was ok. The room wasn’t bad at all. I was a little nervous because of the low score but the front desk was very helpful and I felt comfortable in my room.

It was a good stay, the only thing I would comment on is that the halls of the hotel reeked of pot. Which would have been fine but I had my children with me. Other than that it was good, fast easy check-in, and the room was clean. Friendly staff!

Pretty run down property but at least it's close to the airport. Made a last minute reservation and the front desk clerk was very pleasant despite the late hour. Room wasn't in good shape with peeling ceiling tiles, broken fixtures, etc. Wasn't easy to get an Uber to the airport in the early morning, as they don't have a shuttle. Really only good if you're looking for a budget option when all the Richmond airport hotels with shuttles are charging high rates.

The advertise a continental breakfast. Unless you count the stench of pot smoke as a continental breakfast, they didn't have one. There were food wrappers in the room on the floor. The people above the room sounded like elephants trekking through the jungle at 3am. Do not waste your money on this dump.

Staff was attentive and understanding. Everything was clean. Wifi password didn't work, but I didn't really care enough to get a good one. Great economy stay.

Don’t stay here. It’s a dive. Someone tried to sell me food stamps in the hallway as I was checking in. Disgusting place!

One of the lights not working, toilet lid broken on one side. After letting the front desk know about the refrigerator, all was said is ok. Also didn’t like having to give a deposit when I’d already paid online and there was supposed to be no deposit.

This place should not be an option!! Remove it, Hotels.com. The first room we were offered had a broken window that was street level. The light switch did not work (which is why I opened the window to find a stick in the window track; cracked glass pushed partially open with no screen; and bugs entering the room at will). Stains and filth everywhere and smelled awful. The second room offered was not better. That easily accessed window had pvc pipe as a "lock." WE DID NOT STAY. Spent extra money to find a last minute room at a better, safer location.

The building was old and in need of repairs. The staff required a $50 security deposit against room damage, something I have never experienced in my many years of staying at motels. The drain stopper in the sink didn't work and the plastic cover plate on the electric outlet next to the sink was cracked and broken so that the inside of the junction box behind it was visible. I don't believe it was a GFI outlet either.

Just an outdated hotel. NOT worth what I paid for it, room smelled like mold. Ending up only staying about 4 hours out of the two night stay. Close to the airport but that's it. I rarely leave reviews, but I had to with this one.

It could be so much better with just a little effort added. Vacuum the floors! Buy better quality of sheets so they do not hold to every piece of dust looking dirty all the time. Upgrade the towels and pillows and it will be so much better. Looks like the place was renovated recently but poor designing choices were made making it looking tired, dark, dirty and ugly. It was not that cheap so I was expecting little better. No breakfast

It was quiet and clean. Convenient location to Richmond and worth the value. Smoking room. I'd stay again if in the area. Windows were slide open so that's a plus when the weather is nice and cool. Funny desk guy kinda bland was on the phone in his language but not necessarily disrespectful just not friendly welcoming. Door had no top lock. Toilet ran water which got annoying but i lifted the lid and pulled the pump and it stopped had to do it a couple times... but all in all it is worth the rate just in quiet cleanliness and convenience.

The cable to the television was not working.

I booked on line for the first time and they charged me 2 more times for the room. I spoke with them directly the next morning letting them know that they booked me 2 more times for the room and went back 3 days later to show them my bank statement and they said give it 2 business days and it would be fixed. It has been 8 days since I stayed there and nothing is fixed. Time to contact my bank and my lawyer.

I was extremely upset by the service we received from the front desk staff upon it being noticed that I was with my life partner,wife, of whom is also female. The lady at the front desk let us know in her actions and the manner she spoke that she didn’t approve of us being together. We will not be returning!

No light switch as I walked in the room worked. Only one lamp beside bed. Dirty sheets and never received clean ones even after calling several times and talking to the cleaning crew. Sink didn't have any cold water, toilet didn't flush, and every time I blew dry my hair, the smoke alarm would go off. The floor felt very nasty, overall filthy.

It was alright for a few nights

It was a pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and well maintained.
