However: 1. Flapper valve in toilet needs to be replaced. It no longer holds a seal when closed. Toilet flushes continuously. We told staff on our way out. It seems they were likely to fix it and were apologetic. 2. The room had an iron but no ironing board. Looks like closet had a place for one. We used towel on bed as our board. 3. The room has no safe. Seems odd for such a spacious room. No issues but odd. 4. The desk work space had a large power strip which is nice. However, it did not work. We plugged it into every available outlet to no avail. We left it unplugged. 5. The left side of bed had no tech outlet. Odd that only right side had tech outlet.

Restaurant inside hotel closed early.

Parking was expensive and there are much cheaper options in close proximity. I wish that it was clearly noted the breakfast was not included. At a minimum, for the price being paid I think morning coffee should be offered.

Easy access right out front parking/valet

Wonderful stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location downtown. In the evening I just sat in the courtyard and had a drink.

Diamond and Andy were so welcoming at front desk. They explained many things to us and apologized for the problems we had with valet. We were going to complain about the valet and the prices but they explained it is a better deal than going across the hotel to public parking. The room was great. Full kitchen with regular fridge, dish soap and sponge and dishes forls and knives. Coffee maker in room. We felt very safe. Hotel was vety clean. Breakfast was ok. If we had .ore time we would have walked around the area to the local.park and canal walk. Close by. I would recommend this hotel.

The neighborhood is LOUD AT NIGHT, every night. Motorcycle exhaust noises both nights after 3 PM.

They were hosting an event with hundreds of teenagers who were constantly congregating in the lobby and in front of the elevators. They were in the way our entire stay and were extremely loud and a nuisance

The hotel was recently renovated and looks great. Included breakfast typical and ok. Didn't want to use Valet parking. There was a garage about 1 block down. Very convenient to restaurants, capitol square and several museums.

Apparently if you don't show up by 9PM they give your room away to someone else. They did this to me. I ended up having to drive an hour away to find somewhere to sleep. Be warned - a reservation here, even if you've paid in full, doesn't mean they won't give away your room in a heartbeat if they get busy. Horrible experience.

The room itself was very nice, spacious and comfortable. However from the minute we arrived things were chaotic. There was no parking, only a $70 a night valet option. Which was incredibly frustrating. Also the hotel is right across a pub which made things very loud and unsafe for people traveling with families.

Location; front desk staff was friendly The room was dirty. We asked that the dirty parts we saw be cleaned while we were at dinner during our one night stay. It was not done. Later, when setting up the fold out sofa we found a whole area of the carpet that had not been vacuumed. Breakfast was supposed to start at 6:30. At 6:45, it was only partially set up with oatmeal that had not been thoroughly cooked. When I asked about this, I was told, “it was working 3 days before, as if that explained anything. I spoke to a person, who introduced himself as the operations manager and listed the above complaints. Regarding the breakfast, he said they were serving it in a new space. He pointed out the old space - which was farther from the kitchen- so again a meaningless explanation. I asked for a partial refund. He said he would check out the room and get back to me. He never did. When I called for him, I was told that I needed instead to speak with the front desk manager. She indicated that she could put points in my account, but since I don’t travel often, I told her that wasn’t very meaningful. She said she would seek guidance about a partial cash refund from upper management and would return my call or email me within 2 days. She never did. I called one more time and left a message that she never returned.

Everything was really wonderful. The breakfast bowl, the Starbucks coffee,absolutely perfect way to start the morning. Bed was super comfy and water temperature for shower was great. The area was great, so many good restaurants to walk too

I liked the convenience of the location and the size of the room. I also liked that it had a fridge and microwave so we could make our own food. I didn't like having to pay for parking, we also had a hard time giving our Doordarsher directions to the hotel even though they used GPS, we also had a note that said there was free breakfast but we could only find the breakfast bar which you had to pay for

I spent 5 nights at this property and had to ask repeatedly for Housekeeping services. Dirty glassware in the cabinet and greasy fingerprints on the cabinets. They finally arrived on my 4th night after my third request. Suddenly, items that should have been there from the beginning, arrived (hand soap, for example). The breakfast food was below par (fake eggs) and very limited for GF customers. I won’t stay there again (was visiting family in the city).

The property is located in a great area. The state capital building and the historic clock tower are within walking distance. Front desk staff were very friendly and professional. The room was nice. However, the couch cushions and pillows are ready to be replaced or steam cleaned.

Nice hotel in a good location, for one night it was good. Breakfast time in Booking.com should be corrected. It was said that breskfast would be until 10am (usual for a Sunday) but it was only until 9. We and some other guests only got the leftovers.

The room was comfortable and the hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. The staff was condescending and talked to me like I’m stupid. The older guy that was setting up the breakfast was rude.

I have stayed there before but last time there was a door to close off the sofa/coach. My fault I should have asked. Also several lights were out.

The employees are super nice and helpful. The pillows though aren't very comfortable and they didn't have extra pillows to give if you needed extra. Location is in the downtown area. It's kid friendly as there was something fun in the court yard to do.

There is a chance of vandalism in the parking garage but if you use you common sense and not leave anything in sight that could be possibly of value it's fine.

THE BREAKFAST WAS GOOD, THE LOCATION IS TERRIBLE AND DANGEROUS I took this hotel because it was a 4-star hotel and according to it was well located, but it was a bad decision. I left my truck with the valet parking and when I requested it to leave the hotel I found that they had broken the rear window to steal a bag with shoes. So I asked why I should stay in a supposedly good hotel if they cannot guarantee the minimum security of my belongings. In addition to that, the hotel did not respond to the problem, they only said that it was normal for them to break windows because it is an urban area, please. so then I can't recommend that you stay here because the area is dangerous and the hotel won't do anything for you, they stole almost $2000 thousand dollars worth of shoes and replacing the glass was another $1500 and everyone washed their hands

The parking situation is crummy - an extra $32/night for valet parking. There are some other public parking options but those get pricey, too. there is no indoor pool which would have been great since it was extremely hot weather

The woman who greeted us & checked us in was amazing. The valet guy Cliff was too. The room was super clean, the shower pressure great & the bed excellent. Couldn’t ask for more for a place to stay for the night. The restaurant too was good but a bit pricey for the portions we got, so that would be our only disappointment. Otherwise excellent. Restaurant food was good but cost almost as much as our stay & the portions were small to boot.

I loved the stay, it was only shadowed by lack of staffing that resulted in our room not being ready past check-in time and having to take a slightly smaller room instead since we had dinner plans and couldn't wait. Lack of staff also resulted in the bar/coffee area being closed on a Saturday. The staff that was there was very apologetic and lovely.

There was a club night on Saturday that kept me up until 2-2:30 am. It was extremely loud. This seems to be a regular event, so don't stay here if you plan to sleep over the weekend! Parking is not included. I usually love Residence Inn, but this was the worst one I've ever seen. I would never come back here again, and will look at other hotel chains moving forward.

From beginning to end the customer service, price, smile and attention to detail makes me want to go to Richmond even though I have not real reason to. I have travelled in chain hotel several times during COVID and by far this place nailed it. I stayed iin the Savannah Historic IHG the night before and it was dreadful. TYSM for the kindness and expression of true customer centered care.

Hotel staff was superb from the moment we pulled to the valet parking until the time we left. Perfect location as we were there to watch a Nascar race at the track, located 7 1/2 miles from hotel. Easy access back on tobthe interstate. Will use this hotel again next year.

You advertise on your website that this is a pet-friendly hotel which how I searched it. However, Marriott charged a significant pet fee. If this is your idea of pet-friendly then you need to reevaluate your disclosures to the potential patrons. All else was fine but tainted by the checkin shock.

Enjoyed our stay. Was provided with everything we asked for in a timely manner. Good restaurants within walking distance. Needed to be near VCU Hospital for a family member’s surgery and recovery, which was within walking distance also. Kitchen was adequate for fixing meals so we did not have to eat out constantly. Would recommend to anyone.

Location was great but the front desk staff Lindsay was not the best person for that job. First she question myself, my wife and my son, who is 15 years old whether we’re sharing the same room multiple times which was ridiculous. The room’s table counter had one of the legs not properly affixed and the stand for the luggage was broken. We notified the front desk immediately. When we got home my wife discovered that we had been charged for additional rooms even though we paid through Expedia days earlier for only one room with a sofa bed. We had to call the hotel to rectify the problem. We’re waiting on our refund 7-10) business days. We will not be staying at this hotel again

It was an overall good stay, we just needed it for the night for New Years, but we got complaints about being too loud, which was disappointing because it was a holiday!!! And there were other rooms that were louder with music and people going going in and out. Check-In was easy and a very nice welcome. Maybe we just had bad neighbors!

Checked in on a friday night. Could not get to sleep until after 1 am due to loud party outside and loud traffic.

Wonderful location and the staff was amazing. I had a computer crash and they called all over to help me find a solution for my problem.

I booked in Residence Marriott, studio suite because it was a graduation and we had our other children with us but we were moved to courtyard and when we arrived to our room there was only one bed without couch so I went back to reception desk and requested a room with more beds. He changed our room with 2 double and a roll up bed. We ate one breakfast only instead of 2 but at check out they were charging me too. I had it removed and the extra valet parking they were charging us too. I was told that when the hotel is fully book, people who booked through Expedia get bumped first when I asked why I lost the room I booked months ago.

The room was clean and spacious and the hotel was accommodating with my requests. I loved the location and I would definitely stay here again.

Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable except that the temperature was too warm and we couldn't make it go any cooler. Love the full kitchen. Great location and delicious breakfast!

I was very happy at the hotel. Staying for more than a week in a room with kitchen. Pleasant design, very comfortable bed (at least years ago I found bedsd in US Hotels rather uncomforable), friendly and helpful staff.

Wick stop over for the night. The front desk lady was wonderful when we checked in.
