I actually had a nice stay. The workers were professional and considerate.

It was ok but I did get bitten by something during the night. There were a few big ants in the bathroom

The place is perfect for a getaway and it is near an airport.

For a quick overnight stay, this place will do ok. But, I would caution any female traveling alone to stay elsewhere. It is a bit sketchy at night. I do have to say that the staff was very nice and helpful.

My non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke. The bed comforters had stains on them. The mini fridge would not turn on. Mold and black spots on the mirror in the bathroom.

Nothing My door to my room barely shut . I pushed a table up against it the first night. It was supposed to be a non smoking room. It smelled like smoke . The next day I went to the front desk because I didn't feel safe in that room. They switched rooms for me . That one wasn't much better and smelled even worse of smoke . The walls were dirty. I will never stay here again. It looks nothing like the website described.

It's an airport motel so quiet isn't a promise. But aside from the airplanes, it is quiet otherwise. It could use some paint, there was a few roaches... But it's a motel. No bed bugs so we're happy about that. We were only there to sleep so it was good for what was needed.

Nice room friendly staff

The room smelled like someone had rented it out to a homeless person. I rented from you because you advertise you had a pool and didn’t say it wasn’t open. False advertising.

Avoid if possible it was gross

Hot water in the shower didn't work. Dogs were barking. People were loud. Staff were nice. Ac unit was very loud.

The hotel is ok for the price. The room was ok but the person next door was smoking in their room doorway, which caused our room to smell a little smoky. The room didn't have a blow dryer for my wife and they don't include them in the amenities list. This is important to note for my wife.

The smell of smoke in the room was very over powering. The room was a bit dirty. Light-switches were filthy and the floors had food and hair. At least the bed was clean and comfy which makes this room ok for the night. A/C worked good.

Okay - let’s start with - ITS CHEAP and you get what you pay for. Really - it’s as basic as possible but if economy is your priority then it’s fine. It’s located close to the airport has lots of parking. Clean enough and safe.

Front desk staff were pleasant and accommodating when I asked for a room change with an extra bed. The room was a bare bones minimum motel room, but it was clean, and everything worked. AC was good and cold; water was hot and had decent pressure. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Quiet hours were observed by guests and long-term residents. Checkout was a breeze . Overall it was a good experience.

My room was not too bad but the bathroom door lock was broken. The shower door was not the best. The staff was nice but there are not much food areas around. My room had an opening to another room and it was quite loud from the other end and around.

They do not provide “do not disturb” signs so you have to let the front desk know that you don’t want housekeeping or be disturbed. That request was ignored. When I confronted them, they said they would bring it up to the head of housekeeping and gave me the number for the manager. I left a message for the manager but was met with silence. Upon check in, the room clean but the sink was dirty. NO hair dryers are available. The guide on the TV does not match the channels on the TV Plus, the colors on the TV were off (it had a blue ) and there was no way to fix it. The bed was decent but slides off the frame cause it’s just a cheap platform. Water doesn’t get very hot and the pressure is not great. The rooms are definitely NOT soundproof. You can hear (and feel) planes overhead. For a night or two, it’s fine. The ladies at the were very nice although no issues were remedied. Manager Darcell Walker Does not return calls from concerned guests

Bathroom was roomy and neat. However felt so unsafe with stomping upstairs and screaming from women likely being abused. Area felt like a zone for prostitution. Door had space in the bottom which allowed dirt from outside to blow into the room. Heavy scented smoking pervasive in bedroom. Sticker behind door warns to lock both bolts to ensure safety. This is not a place for any children.

An old motel that has not been updated, or even well kept. We sensed that it may also be a "welfare" hotel. We booked it because it had good ratings, but in our opinion, those ratings were inflated. Right at the airport, but not noisy. Easy parking and pets stay free.

Staff was very friendly. Parking was not an issue. This motel needs an overhaul. My room had roaches. I do not recommend this location unless it is an absolute last resort. Definitely learned my lesson about staying at cheap properties.

We didn’t keep our reservation… it was unbearable. Smelled like smoke and was dirty. We were not comfortable staying there so we asked for a refund. We have not seen it yet.

The room I booked was very different than the one we got. There's a ton of more about quiet time, yet all night long people and children were yelling. If you can't sleep through planes flying right over you this isn't your place. Very disappointed, would not stay here again.

My daughter was upset about the pool not being open but I wasn't surprised as it was only the end of March. There was a lot of noise due to the airport which is noticeable but I had no issues with it. I always have music or tv on so it didn't bother us. I wasn't happy that there was no freezer in the fridge because I couldn't keep my ice packs frozen for my snacks during the day. I'm diabetic so I was happy to have a fridge to put insulin in, but I needed the ice packs to stay frozen so I could use them while I was out during the day. That also meant I used real ice to keep my insulin cool on the 10 hour drive home which resulted in a few things getting wet but oh well. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

Property was seemed like apartments not a hotel. Room was dirty and didn’t even have soap. Sink basin was broken through and room smelled of smoke.

My sons felt unsafe which is quite the statement for 2 adult veterans. They stated that the room was fine for the night but wouldn't want to stay longer than that. They left at 2am and continued their trip because of the noise just outside their door at the hotel.

We found the bed very comfortable. No shampoo, coffee, etc. but we were just there to sleep before catching our plane.

Room was fine however our neighbor had 2 barking dogs at all hours. I had to go outside at 11:30pm and shout outside their door to shut those dogs up and I was not the only person standing outside because of this. I will never stay at a dog friendly place again. BTW we have a dog, we like dogs. Hotel has no way to enforce what they call quiet time. Room was nice - clean, handicapped bathroom, mic and frig. a/c. We left a day early due to noise at night and barking dogs. Never again with Motel 6 pet friendly!

The room smelled of stale smoke, and there were only the very basic amenities (not even a tissue box or more than one facecloth). However the front desk staff were friendly and the location was convenient. The property overall was a little run down, and you could hear planes landing off and on all night.

A drunk driver literally smashed into a room and caused a huge scene with tons of cops and fire fighters at 11pm + a huge hole in the building and 2 cars nearly totaled also involved in the incident. Rooms were dirty and smlled like smoke, 2/3 of the rooms i had smlled funky too. Honestly a great motel6 experience. 10/10 would recommend for entertainment, 0/10 for sleeping

Clean room, I didn't like the fact they want everyone staying in the room over 18 to have a photo ID.. my boyfriend lost his and we had already paid for room online, they refunded the money which took days and we had to find some where else to stay. If the person you are with is missing their ID definitely don't stay here or make sure they aren't seen or with you when you check in.

I just needed the room for the night so we could be close to the airport, but I was still pleased with the experience. There was nothing that stands out that made me feel any negative way about the room. It's a cheap room so you get what you pay for, but at the bare minimum it was clean, the staff was friendly, and I felt safe.

I was surprised myself. Is it cheap room so you get what you pay for, but for what I paid for it, I really can't complain. The staff was friendly, and the rooms didn't have any crazy smells or obvious neglect when it comes to cleaning. I just needed it for the night so I wasn't expecting resort treatment, but I'm still happy with my stay here.

This is a very mediocre hotel which seems to have a lot of people living long-term in it. Rooms were noisy, there were parties in the parking lot, and folks loitering in cars, so it wasn't the nicest environment. The staff at the hotel was friendly and the rooms were pretty standard Motel 6 quality, but I've also stayed at nicer Motel 6s elsewhere.

When entering into the room, the floors were dirty. The light switches were filthy. The room had a stale smell to it. The headboard had something all over it, as well as the table as though it had never been wiped down. The shower had hair in it as well as the sink.

There was a dirty wash cloth in my room, I spent all weekend killing roaches, the toilet got clogged the first night, I had to ask if there was another room I could use until maintenance came in the morning. All of the lights and outlets didn't work. The best part of my stay was the quick and friendly check in, the bathroom was a nice size and the bed was comfortable.

I stopped here to crash for the night and was grateful to get a convenient room right behind where my car was parked. However, some patrons decided to have a party and i was kept up until close to 2. There's no sound insulation so you can hear everything happening around, even on the upper floor. I ended up sleep deprived for the long drive the next day.

Everything was doable and bearable until the first cockroach was spotted. Having to kill another one crawling across the bed killed the experience. It really does seem as though Motel 6 locations get their decent ratings from people living there through government assistance.

It is convenient to the airport, but there are other properties that are safer and cleaner nearby. I could see, hear, and smell outside due to a complete lack of door seal. Marijuana smokers seem to be common guests and ignore the no smoking requirement, housekeeping put a clean fitted sheet over dirty ones as evidenced by numerous dirt streaks, boogers, and hair between the two sheets. TV was almost burned out, floors were extremely dirty, air conditioning was covered in mildew. I pretty much took two 20 minute naps. Check in was very blundt and there was no extra info sharing to make me feel welcome.

Studio 6 provided me with everything that I needed for an enjoyable weekend visiting friends. Sharon and Casey were on top of their game. Keep up the wonderful work.

Our room was VERY dirty. There was pee in the toliet when i got to my room and the lid up. Smudges of brown "stuff" all over the bathroom yall. Shower had dead flies all in the floor. Floors were sticky and room stunk like an ash tray. When we pulled up it was 9p. , without exaggerating there was 30 people just standing drinking and carrying on all over the parking lot. Dogs from people loving there just running around. Beer bottles all around. Pool was closed due to people fighting and breaking beer bottles in the pool. Just horrible. I felt incredibly unsafe with my kids there.

There was to much noise at night time

The room was very clean

The door didn't close all the way the walls the whole room had a nasty layer of dirt all.over it.

Broken shower door.

Noisy AC, Poor TV, dirty or fungus in shower.

I had sent a request for a ground floor room and was told they do not honor those requests. There was a young gentleman laying on the upstairs at the top of the steps for two nights now. My husband has difficulty walking upstairs and I expected my request to be honored.

The staff is great. Nice room for the price.

The price was very competitive. However, the location was in a rough neighborhood and right next to the airport. The shower was moldy and the toilet seat was held on by only one bolt. A solid 2-star facility.

Comfortable

The bed is like sleeping on a cot my room was not supposed to be a smoked in room but smelt like a ashtray that burnt my eyes woman at front desk was very nice to try to make better in other rooms but they were just as bad

The staff was phenomenal however there was ashes on my bed sheets and it just felt sticky everywhere in the room. I don’t like complaining because the staff was great but was unimpressed and uncomfortable in my room.

Old property, old hotel

The rooms where not how they looked online. There was infestation of flies in our rooms and it was too noisy. It seemed like it was a hotel and a halfway house. The hotel allows guess with dogs but the dogs barked all night and then one guess let thier dog poop on the ground and did make them pick it up! There was a heavy smoke scent in our rooms and the beds were totally uncomfortable. The floors were laminate floors but needed to be swept and mopped. Cleanliness of the rooms were overall subpart. The shower doors didn't close good so water go all over the floor. We couldn't change our location or hotel because we were bringing our daughter to college and the location was the only place close to her school and everything else was sold out. I will not be back to this location again! The staff was nice to us so that's the only thing I can say that was good about our stay.

The the motel grounds were filthy with trash, cigarette butts, beer cans paper...Etc. would not stay there again.

We got off work late we called the front desk lady said no problem we called again because our ride was on the way again she said no problem got here customer service was excellent and the room was right near the bus stop which makes it easy to go shopping just in case we have bags and we will return again we already booked the room thank you Motel6

And when you have to have a full page, laminated explanation of quiet hours or you'll be kicked out, it really says something about your clientele. If I hadn't already paid for the room I would have left.

Didn't get my money back

Dog was barking at 1:00 am. Room was small and the bathroom was filthy. There was urine on the walls permanently, some mold in the shower and the whole place smelled. There is barely anywhere to put clothes, no place to hang them which is not great, since I did not want to put anything on the floor. I understood that it would be an economy hotel and we got in too late on the first night to do anything about it. Even though I had already paid for 2 days, when I lifted my head from the single lumpy pillow, we packed, left, and did not come back. So ... there went one night's lodging down the drain, but I wasn't going to make my kids hang out in a place where I wouldn't let them shower without sandals on. Somehow it had a 7.4 on Hotels.com, so I will write them and Motel 6 corporate. I might sleep there for free but I paid 80$ a night, and chose to leave because it was terrible.

We checked into what was supposed to be in two bed non-smoking room. It was indeed two beds, but it was definitely a smoking room and even had an ashtray in the room. It smelled horrible, and there were apparently a lot of people that lived in this hotel, the room next to us even had boots and a house plant outside of the door. Lots of people loitering and lots of noise. Would never stay here ever! The very nice lady at the front desk understood and had no other rooms to offer us so he left and went to Candlewood suites highly recommend

It was great would book again

Overall my stay was fine. The property is average but the area is rough. Some random people knocked on my door. I did not feel safe and was glad my stay was short.

Dirty rooms.

This was a very convenient place to stay for my son and I when we visited Richmond to visit Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion (and opted for this hotel by the Richmond Airport as a halfway point). It is literally right across the street from the Richmond Airport. Coming and going was very simple and the area was safe. Sometimes you're going to take a trip and splurge on a really nice hotel. Sometimes you'll book a value hotel and allocate your vacation money on other experiences. For this trip we did the latter and it worked out well. No complaints about this totally acceptable property. We got exactly what we registered for.

Great hotel. Nice check in. Room very comfortable. However the room was dirty and we complained to the front desk on Saturday morning and she seemed she was on drugs because she was some place else when we were talking to her. The floor was very sticky and no attempt was made to clean it

The staff was friendly, courteous, and thorough. My only complaint is the room smelled like a soda can full of cigarette butts and there were cigarette burn holes in the blankets. Everything else was clean, tidy, and functional

Friendly staff

My only MAJOR complaint is the room I stayed in was NON-smoking but the stench of old cigarette smoke was so thick that everything I had in the room smelled of old cigarette smoke when I left, my hair held the smell as well. Also I was there in business travel and they do not have do not disturb signs, I was working night shift and woke up to “room service” knocking repeatedly on 3 separate times during a 5 night stay.

The walls in the room were very dirty. There was visible areas where could tell someone spit on the wall, there was literally visible mucus with a bubble. Also, there were multiple brown smears in the walls throughout the room, that one can only assume to be recall matter. It was so gross!!

Staff very nice and helpful while traveling with my pet.

We checked in with a pet and the lady at check in told me she was finding a pet friendly room and that she was going to place us on the first floor, she states that they had one for us and gave us the room number and keys. The next day I was instructed by another employee that my room was not in fact pet friendly and that I would need to move rooms. She was not friendly or hospitable, and then she proceeded on locking me out of my room and leaving my dog in the room for about 30 minutes until My partner was able to come and get things straightened out. (Side Note) we had reserved the room for additional nights, we provided the card number but the employee stated she had not seen payment only the reservation, that’s how my situation resulted in me getting locked out and her telling me I would need to change rooms. Later she left us alone after I complained and we didn’t in fact have to change rooms. Just a big headache for no reason. All it took was for a conversation and understanding of what was happening.

All motels with more than one floor should have an elevator. Getting a suitcase up many concrete steps is not fun. Lady in office was nice tho.

We stayed here to breakup a long trip, when we got into our 1st room the smell of cigarette smoke was too strong so we called to request a nonsmoking room. Front desk staff was nice and moved us to another room which was a bit cleaner but unfortunately still smelled really strong of cigarette smoke. Overall the stay was fine, it was quiet, it served its purpose. Would be a much better experience without everything smelling of smoke.

Check in staff was friendly. But we reserved a non-smoking room and there was not one available when we arrived. Exterior of building & grounds look pretty bad. But the room was decent.

Disgusting roach infested room with drug activity outside and room smelled of cigarette and tobacco dirty with nasty stains in bed and floors

The area pedestrians are somewhat unnerving, but we had no issues. Police patrol was ample. I would strongly recommend this motel.

pool was broken and it was not said online that it was out of commission we did not find out until after we drove 12 hours to get there, tv had a red line down it, room smelled like stale ciggarettes
