Four Points by Sheraton Richmond

This was our first time staying at this hotel. The front desk staff informed us about the $50 deposit but did not explain any other fees or hotel policies. After we received our room keys, we were told that breakfast was not included and that an additional fee would apply. We felt the communication during check-in could have been clearer and more courteous.

Have stayed several times for dr appointments at the VA for family members, and the property is handicap friendly

Nice clean rooms. Staff was helpful but the front desk seemed busy and had to wait. Nice pool and gazebo with gardenias in the back as well as a wooded walking path behind the property. The path had a pond with geese and herons.

The hotel and their staff was great, the only thing I was disappointed in was that night I went to the dining room to order dinner I ordered for myself and grandson then asked if they would fix my husband a grilled cheese he has cancer so a grilled cheese is about all he can tolerate and and the waiter went to ask the cook and they said NO, so I canceled our order . It doesn't take 5 mins to throw a grilled cheese sandwich together. So i Went to Apple Bees and asked them if they would he said thats something that's not on our menu. But we will certainly do that for you and gave it to us free of charge. So if you stay at four points I suggest you eat at Apple bees next door great food and very accommodating. Other then that the hotel was great.

Staff was so friendly and helpful! Rooms were clean and the parking was great. Loved the free coffee and water in the lobby. Bed was a little too soft and unsupportive. Lighting in the room was harsh and cool. They should consider warm lighting that’s dimmable. Breakfast should be included with the price of stay.

For the past 5 years whenever we come to VA to visit family this is our go-to hotel..The room and the staff is always great.. i paid for a LAKE VIEW room.. Like i've done in the past.. But this time the only view i had was of the TALL TREES blocking the view of the lake.. So with the fact that i PAID EXTRA and my wife being upset about not seeing the lake made this stay a little disappointing..

I stayed in the room. They had a bed that was worn out. The bed is completely worn out and should be replaced immediately. I informed the people at the front desk and they like me like I had lost my mind if you stay in room 223 just know the bed feels like a bed it’s been in someone’s house for 25 or 30 years. Please replace the mattress.

Hotels, beautiful located in a very nice area and the people are very nice. I happen to get a room that overlooked all of the air-conditioning units because that book for Hotels.com and they gave me a very undesirable room.

It was a nice area. Check in was nice and quick. The parking lot could use one more light in case you get in late and have to park all the way in the back. My bathroom could have used a little more detail when it came to cleanliness but overall it was a good stay and decent hotel.

It was in a perfect location for where I needed to be and had a ton of options for food and gas near by. We arrived late night due to coming through after work but the staff was pleasant and nice The water pressure was horrible!!! Felt like little trickles coming down. Hard to get soap completely off. There was hair on the bed sheets and on the towels

I’m not a big fan of carpet inside of hotel rooms because who knows when the last time they were actually cleaned but I do understand that not every hotel has switch to floors instead of carpet. But I do always bring slippers.

Excellent hotel and prime location. We loved the pool. Will definitely come back when the outdoor is open as well. Very comfortable bed and shampoos smelled amazing.

I was attending the VPMIA conference and was treated really well by the staff. Everyone at this hotel was friendly, polite and just all around "good people". The food was great and my room was super quiet.

This hotel is always immaculate. The staff are very welcoming and professional. This is the only place I stay in the Richmond area

Rooms had issues. Toilet was really loose, shower kept clogging. I’m not a complainer so I dealt with it. But not worth the price for the stay.

Disappointed that I paid more than what was promised through Expedia. No receipt provided by the staff. No cameras on the property where it matters most. For instance in and out of the elevator none in the elevator or hallways. It’s a glorified old holiday inn.

Air Conditioning was working excellent; lake view was amazing. the only thing is the sheets and pillow case. they were dirty (like old rusting metal that was wash with it). I asked for it be changes but it was not until I met the housekeeping supervisor Romona. she was excellent and got my pillowcases and bed sheets change immediately. I enjoy my stay especially the walking distance to Applebee's. which had excellent food. my only recommendations are to check the room and inspect the pillowcases, bed sheet before renting to anyone or the person check in.

EVERYTHING!!! This time we ate at the restaurant in the hotel. What a good choice the food was hot, and very good and tasteful. It was 9 of us and the waitress and the chef was amazing. The staff here has always been great. I appreciate the good service. I’ve stayed here before and the staff and the facility has always been pleasant and enjoyable. I’ve never had to complain. It’s in the right radius for the conference that is hosted by UPCI.

However during the week breakfast was made to order, it was delicious, and so was dinner. All staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the last night we found a roach in one of our rooms 😩, so I had to deduct a star! Despite this, our overall stay was good.

The front desk staff was exceptional and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was great value and the waiter working there took great care of us. The pool facilities were nice, as was the gym and the parking lot was massive. Plenty of spots with a lot of convenient restaurants and stores in the area.

The room was really clean, and I loved that it had a small pantry so you could buy a midnight snack without having to go to the gas station. Perhaps you could let guests know that amenities are unavailable at that time before they make a reservation.

The front desk staff was so friendly and all of the employees in the restaurant worked really hard. My only qualm would be to consider using real silverware for breakfast.

I had a very early flight and called the property to ask for their Early Check In policy. Jia was very professional, polite, and prompt. When I arrived, she remembered my name and had a room ready for me (please note Early Check In is only available IF there’s a room available!). the only suggestion would be relining the shower doors for cosmetic reasons. Old and showing wear.

This particular hotel and staff doesn’t function properly together. They didn’t communicate the right information and marked me as a no show after I spoke with their staff on several occasions when I missed my flight the day of checkin. I spoke for 7 minutes to a front desk person regarding moving my days from May 7th to May 8th which she said that’s not a problem being that you missed your flight. After explaining to her I missed my flight due to TSA misplacing my shoe she confirmed that she will make of note of my new check in time and date. The next morning I called to confirm and they act like that had no idea what I was talking about then directed me to call Expedia to have the dates moved because they can not. They I explained that the person ensured me that this was all taken care of. She said no they marked you as a no show but your reservation is still active and that you can call Expedia and have them move your dates for you. Well Expedia mentioned that the fact that the hotel marked you as a no show it activated the stay and that there is nothing Expedia could do. The hotel said that they could give a refund due to the misunderstanding and Expedia follow up with the report. Needless to say today I received and email that through several attempts from Expedia the were unsuccessful in their attempts of communication with the hotel. Therefore they could not secure a refund for the two nights I paid , therefore leaving me without accommodations after my plane landed.

The front desk employees were super friendly from the time we entered and the time we left the hotel! The room was spotless and the beds were really comfortable. It was very convenient with Applebee's Restaurant a walk up the steps from the parking lot! We would definitely stay again.

Rooms are small, spare and expensive for some other "premier hotels". Entry light bulb needed to be changed again no one cared. Only two towels, dangerous shower, no hand rails. Check out was a hassle as needed a luggage cart "we'll see what we can do" was the reply. Received one to see there were at least 6 in the lobby, Restaurant was adequate, bartender friendly.

When we arrived on the first day we were told the water was out but would be back on at 5 pm. We spent the day moving boxes and had a meeting at 6:30 needless to say the water was not back on by 5 pm. We used bottle water to take a bath before out meeting.

The facility was very clean. Beds were very comfortable and there was zero noise. The surrounding area has plenty of foods to choose from and I would stay here again.

Amazing place to stay!

This is an older hotel that needs updating. Grout and edge finishes in bathrooms are stained, carpets are old. Breakfast was basically inedible. Parking is free. They have a level 2 Tesla charger but no CCS.

Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean room great location for restaurants, shopping and the River City Soccer complex. FYI bathtubs are only located on the 2nd floor, all the other floors have showers, if you want to do ice baths between games.

The downside was the busy area with loud traffic at times. Wish we would have gotten a room facing the back. The pond with the geese made for a nice walk and there was a gazebo with tables. The proximity to Applebees was also handy. Lots of restaurants nearby!

The staff were all polite and accommodating. The room was big and it was very quiet. I did get a scam phone call to the room asking me to verify my credit card. Of course I said no and went down to let the front desk know what was going on. My neighbor next door stated he also got a phone call but he hung up. The front desk called the manager, and I hope something can be done to warn customers that this is happening. All in all, despite that event, it was a nice stay.

Was given room 734 & looked great. Before sleeping & in morning I had breathing issues & coughing. I use an inhaler, & breathing was worse. Saw a/c unit had black mold. Told front desk. They were apologetic & got 6th floor room. Clean, very comfy & no black mold. Ate at the restaurant in hotel. Was empty, staff weren’t great and fish & chips was worst I’ve had, like cardboard. Menu was like a piece of scratch paper, but on the bottom said automatic 15% gratuity. At one point I was waiting for my check & no staff around for about 3-4 minutes. After I got the check I asked about the automatic gratuity & employee didn’t know what I was talking about. Before I checked out I also saw I was double charged for my room! They assured me it would come off in 3-5 days. Oh & hot water was not working for almost 2 days.

Room was very clean, staff friendly and loved that we were able to have our dog, food and drinks in a nice common area just outside of restaurant while visiting with family.

The staff at this hotel are the friendliest and kindest at any hotel I've visited in the states. Really felt welcomed every time we walked in the door. The manager even went out of his way to say goodbye, have a safe trip, and come back to visit again. The entire staff should be commended for the hospitality and extra service they all provided to us! We will return

I stayed at this hotel because it was close to a local hospital where my partner had undergone surgery. When checking in, the front desk person asked what brought me to the area and I told him. The next day, as I was leaving and walking out of the lobby to return to the hospital, the same front desk employee saw me and stated that he hoped my loved one would recover quickly. I was so touched and impressed that he remembered me and personal details about me, even though it is a large hotel full of convention attendees. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are lovely, so that would be reason enough to return, but his interaction with me confirmed that I would stay there again (another surgery ahead). Highly recommend!

Needed hotel close to work due to storm. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our water in the city was shut down due to pump failure so we spent a few days here at the hotel. I was already familiar with this hotel and everything was as expected! Clean, great staff and service, comfortable and convenient! Definitely recommend to stay for business or leisure

Hotel itself was great, others guest were extremly loud. Woken up at midnight to slamming doors and people screaming and hollering at one another.

I love this hotel and it is one of my top choices when visiting family in Richmond. The rooms are always clean, the area is great and has plenty of options for food choices and it’s very close to the highway for departure.

Stayed at this location multiple times. This last stay they lost hot water which was not great. Cold shower in late December is no fun. Other visits have been fine

It’s been wonderful so far. The staff are incredibly professional and friendly, and this is truly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

Mold allergy of my partner was triggered. Likely do to poor management of shower facilities.
