Comfortable The lady from front desk, i think her name was Bautista. Bad manners. She gave me my bag, she did not even tell me what the $250 charge was for? Despite the room been already paid for.

We were in Richmond for a wedding, and our stay was perfect! I don't think I've ever stayed in a cleaner hotel, and the staff was very friendly. Having the sofa in the room made it feel extra spacious, and it's a great location. Highly recommend!

While we had requested a King bed, we ended up with two Queen beds in the room. Otherwise, the Front Desk staff was extremely welcoming, Athena took care of all our needs. The only negative was the valet parking that took over half an hour to retrieve our car making us late for our event on Sunday. There was only one valet at 9 am which seemed odd when so many people are checking out.

There are public by the hour parking lots but no hotel parking. The valet parking with in/out privileges was not cheap. I gave 4 stars, but that may be over-rating the place.

We got a deal on Expedia for a super last minute stay due to a hospitalization, everyone was super nice and helpful. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and a good place to lay our heads down after a stressful time.

It was nearby great food options like Downtown Grill. I chose it because of its proximity to the train station, Libby hill, and Church hill.

The staff was very helpful. We were going to ride the Virginnia Capital Trail. The staff was very helpful in keeping our bicycles while we went to park our vehicle at the other end of the trail.

The location of the property is ideal, walkable to many eateries. The staff seemed overwhelmed and frustrated in general. We paid for the added breakfast and the cafe was out of everything, no creamer or milk even for coffee…no breads for breakfast sandwiches & we were there at 8am. I will stay here again hoping this was just an “off day”.

Breakfast staff was excellent and very accommodating. They were pleasant despite working under stressful conditions. Reception staff was also excellent at registration and check out. First rate. The only complaint was that there was no room cleaning even though we were only there for two nights. At least empty garbage and make beds! Otherwise, pleasant stay.

1. No clear instructions on where to have breakfast when having breakfast in your reservation. Front desk failed to provide clear instructions on what to expect at the bistro in the morning 2. Close the breakfast place without any advance notice even after we got affirmative confirmation to have breakfast at bistro the night before. 3. Front office has no compassion or efforts to help the customers when we express our frustration and the hotel lack of communication of closing the breakfast place. The guy said nothing he can do and told us to wait until manager come back 4. Although we communicated to the manager about the expense we spent elsewhere for the breakfast the same day and agreed upon points to be reimbursed, no points were hit our account one week after checking out.

The location is very nice, overall well maintained. However, we stayed there for 2 nights and did not get housekeeping to clean the room despite repeated requests.

We were in Richmond for a college tour and this hotel was perfect for what we were looking for. The rooms are a great size and the staff was AMAZING. If our student commits to VCU, we will ALWAYS use this hotel!

Location, room layout and overall cleanness. Breakfast is not what you expect from a 4 star hotel. Hardly any choice. Only 1 type of bread (white toast) that run out when we came and had to wait 10 minutes to get it filled up. No cheese or any premium ingredients to hope for; only industrial food. In light of this, spending $400 for 1 night appears on the high side.

I always enjoy a Marriott stay. The only thing is, I wished it had better breakfast options to choose from. Otherwise Marriott is it for me.

Everything The fact that I did not go to sleep until 4 am because of the incredibly RUDE guests beside us were slamming doors, screaming, cursing to the tops of their lungs! I tried calling the front desk MULTIPLE times, however, nobody answered the phone one time!! Also, the fact that a shuttle only runs from 7 am-7pm is crazy!

It's definitely one of the more modernized hotel options in Richmond. I do miss their breakfast buffet which was very good and quick to grab a bite.

Freshly made breakfast burritos were excellent just didn’t have Salsa as the establishment was out.

My car was broken into at the garage that was recommended. Because I booked through booking.com there was nothing the hotel could/would do. Meanwhile, others who also had their cars broken into were comped because they booked directly through Marriot.

The hotel is very nice, very clean, and a great location. Friendly and courteous staff. Check in was painless and easy The price. The pandemic is over. Stop with the bullshit high prices.

Of course staff was courteous. Arrived on Sunday night around 8:30 pm and fridge was not cooling. Called front desk and they immediately got maintenance up there and he had to replace it with another. Very efficient indeed. No complaints whatsoever!

Hotel and room are good. Location great. Major construction going on. Hotel didn’t give any notice. Just assumed we’d like to hear pounding on the floor above all afternoon. A heads up would have been appreciated so we could have decided if we wanted to move or deal with it.

Not much No parking or no parking pass given from the hotel . I mean I 220 dollars for a room and no free parking. That's just wrong.

This is a really nice, convenient property. Great staff. The room had limited lighting because it looks into an alley. Notwithstanding, I would stay there again without hesitation.

While my stay here was very short I would like to say that the service by Lenin and Athena was immaculate. They were so sweet and welcoming from check in to check out. I’ll be returning to Richmond in the future and plan to stay here again and hope to see them. I also loved how clean and spacious the rooms were. Everything was great! Just be forewarned if you own a large truck there will be no garage parking available and if you’re lucky you can park on the cobble stone street out front for your stay. Other than that it’s a rough parking lot option and if your truck is loaded with valuables good luck sleeping at night.

Great location , and might return , ac units didn’t cool rooms down as well as other Marriott locations I have been to. However I don’t want to make something out of nothing just became difficult for myself and my wife to sleep good. For a quick overnight it did what it needed, staff was very friendly

I was not advised or aware that there was complimentary shuttle service, even though I advised that I was flying in to Richmond airport prior to check in on the phone. I Could have saved big time on two uber trips to and from the airport on the courtesy shuttle. Staff was friendly and extended late complimentary checkout

Valet couldn’t park my Chevy Tahoe in the lot because it was too tall so I was told to park it behind the parking lot in an unsecure unmonitored dark rundown alley with poor lighting and security. Drug users up and down the side alleys.

The property was ok. I would probably not go back. One of my kids came home with a tick. I did report to the hotel. Also, when we checked in they put us in the wrong room which was an inconvenience. Staff was very friendly but the rooms could be better. I would like a refund if possible.

The only good thing about this day was the valley was awesome. We didn’t realize that we were gonna have to pay extra for a parking garage. The entire time that we were there spent over $50 a day in parking and it was loud noises coming through the vents into the rooms in the early morning hours as well as a pub across the street that was so loud that we cannot sleep

I booked my stay through Expedia and accidently booked the wrong date of 1/11/25 instead of 1/4/25. Realizing my mistake in less than a minute, I changed the date and cancelled the one for 1/11/25. Was charged for both dates. Contacted Expedia and you to ask for a refund and have not gotten any response from either.

Excellent service starting with the valet service the cleanliness of the room the friendliness of the staff and the food was quite good for a bistro

Room nice but the shower has half a door which lets water out and is drafty.

The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was subpar. Looked like an airplane meal just popped out of a microwave. Parking was very expensive. Lack of an employee at the desk to direct out of town guests to sights in the area or restaurants. Rooms not cleaned daily. Area around the hotel was questionable.

Nice hotel

The gym was well maintained. The staff were courteous and awesome. The location is ideal if you wish to walk around downtown Richmond, unless you are adverse to walking uphill. My only issue with the hotel is the Wifi. I tried to connect in my room and could not connect at all.

This hotel is old needs an upgrade. The view from the window was horrible. The view was the garbage center from the building

Nice place! but no free parking. No room service if you stay two day. They just hanging the extra towels no cleaning in the room.

The staff in-person and over the phone was so personable and eager to answer questions and offer advice/help when requested (e.g. dining options, parking, check-in/check-out). The room was clean and elegant with a spacious bathroom, a very responsive thermostat, a mini fridge, a microwave, lots of access to outlets, and a good size television with a full set of channels as well as the option to use your own streaming services or attach your own devices.

Receptionist/hostess Catherine was exceptionally wonderful.

The staff is awesome.

Pleasant hotel in the downtown area however, updates needed throughout the room and bathroom. Lack of mini fridge space was also a disappointment. Unable to fit leftovers in the mini fridge due to the bottle/can design taking up all the room.
