Basically clean. Bathtub was stained. Toilet seat was warped, needed to be replaced. Shower curtain rod was cracked where it attached to both walls. Coffee was good at breakfast. Food was okay. It was decent for one night stay.

Stayed here a couple of times - staff is friendly and responsive. Everything is clean and well maintained- this place is way above average for this class of hotel

It was OK. Not great, just OK. There was a smell in the room. It was almost clean, but not totally clean. Toilet seat was up as though cleaner was interrupted halfway through the job. I asked at front desk about nearby restaurants, but there were no printed copies of your restaurant list available. It was just OK.

Convenient to the highway. Breakfast was ok but there was no coffee at 7:15am (breakfast starts at 7). The ice machine was broken, but there is a gas station right next to the property that was plenty of ice. Rooms were cool and comfortable.

This hotel is an inexpensive option, but has some major drawbacks. The rooms smelled like cigarette smoke and the toilet backed up after one flush; however, the breakfast was good and it was quiet at night.

I loved their hospitality and breakfast. Thr smell of mold and my room bathroom smelled like an old lady who didn't wash properly. Didn't enjoy that smell from the toilet but I sprayed the the bathroom and it went away

The staff was very welcoming. I had no issues checking in. The location was also perfect for a stop over on the ride to SC. It was also obvious that some renovation was done to the room which was good.

We stopped on our way to CT.. The room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfy and the breakfast was decent. The only problem was the rub when we showered. There was no mat or gripping in the tub and no bar inside the shower. Otherwise, a decent stay. Easy off and on to highway.

Overall, clean bedding. We are so tired so we don't have time to check in details but it looks like clean and neat. Locations is close to 1-95 so its easy and accessible to us going to our destination. Air conditioners is great. This home looks like newly renovated. Will recommend this hotel so far.

No ice machine or ice available. The room mini fridge did not work at all. The room and hotel smelled awful. The breakfast was not at all good and all the fruit was badly bruised or overripe. The police frequently cruised the parking lot which was obviously necessary but disconcerting. Would never consider staying there again ever!

The room felt completely filthy, we could not walk on the floor without feeling the dirt under our feet. The bathroom was no better. Room felt muggy and disgusting. There was residue left in toilet from the previous stay.

Everything was clean and working properly. We stayed two nights and it was very convenient to our purpose in Virginia.

Parking lot was a bit beaten up and location felt a bit sketchy but room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offerings were about average for this level of hotel. Could have benefited greatly from addition of toppings for the Belgian waffles.

Our room was big, clean and comfortable. The bathroom had been updated & was clean & well stocked with good towels. We didn’t try the breakfast, but it smelled good 👍We felt that the hotel is good value for the money, and close enough to the highway to be very convenient. We will be back.

I was disappointed by the level of service at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson. Specifically, the Front Desk/Housekeeping staff was unhelpful when I approached them about cleanliness of the room. I expected a much higher standard of hospitality for the price paid. While the location is great, the cleanliness of my room was unacceptable. Upon arrival, I found hair all over the bathroom door, towels, and shower walls. Stains on the sheets, which looked like bodily fluid. Despite bringing this to the attention of the staff, it was not addressed during my 3-night stay. Cleanliness is a top priority for any traveler, and unfortunately, this hotel fell short. I also spoke to another customer who said their room was disgusting as well. Got stuck in the elevator too and nobody helped us. I would not recommend staying here if you value customer service.

Your basic highway stop, complete with the road noise. Nothing special. Smelled musty, could use a good cleaning, but the beds were comfy and good water pressure.

Location was good. Found a long black hair under my pillow. The sheets were thread bare and had no elastic left on the fitted sheet. A mess. The refrigerator made a loud noise so we had to unplug it to sleep.

The breakfast menu was great especially the chicken patty option, not just pork. Most people don't eat pork. Having 2 meat options would be lovely

My only complaint would be the air-conditioning unit ran very cold. I had to turn the heat on to get the temperature above 65, even though we had the thermostat set at 68. other than that, it was great. Comfortable beds clean room.

this is our 6th year staying here, coffee and cookies available at all times!!! The gym was perfect after 12 hours in the car. The ice machine was broken but the desk clerk filled the container whenever I requested. That is the epitome of great service. We will be back!

I am not sure what was going on above my room, but I could hear someone running back and forth across the floor above me. Directly behind the side area where you park, there was someone living in a camper in the woods, and though she was very nice...yes, we actually talked to her at one point, it doesn't give one a sense of safety. For what we paid for the rooms, I will likely not return to this hotel.

Got to the hotel and was quickly greeted by staff to check in. Room was spacey and nicely cleaned and set up. My mom stays in hotels often and is picky and this was her favorite one to date! I plan to stay here for future trips due to our amazing experience with this hotel and its staff!

The customer service was the biggest issue- stuff happens and mistakes are made but, the front desk staff was busier blaming everyone else as opposed to helping us fix the issue and find another place to stay. We were expected to find our own resolution to a problem we didn't cause.

The hotel offers breakfast, but today they did not have hot food simply because the container that keeps the food warm was not working. I wonder how a hotel could not have other alternatives for theirs guests.

The toilet was not working when we arrived on Friday night. told someone at 6:30 am on Sat, was not even looked at. When we returned at noon, I had to say something again and they sent up a guy with a plunger. It stopped working again by Sun morning. No one working seemed like it was their job to address this.

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable The water for the shower was cold. Barely luke warm. The staff member doing the breakfast had an attitude and clearly hated her job. Kept rolling her eyes and sighing while she was cleaning up. Throwing dishes in the sink to wash. She made it clear she was annoyed at people being in there. It was awkward.

When we stayed the staff was as very inattentive. Seemed like we were bothering them when communicating. The hotel had caution tape up and the carpets were pulled up it literally looked like a crime scene.

I found a couple of fresh oranges at the breakfast. And I liked it there was hot tea available in the evening. I like that there was yogurt. And the mattress was OK. The people were kind It was dirty. There was a dirty wash cloth in the elevator the whole entire time on the floor in the corner. The fire extinguisher door was open and held clothes with a caution tape across it. The lobby look nothing like the pictures and had rolls of carpet or something rolled up right in the middle. Always were dirty the carpet should’ve been changed 10 years ago. The bathroom dirty hairs and they’ll do and mold in the tub and under the soap. Sausages were cold. There was no hot water for the oatmeal. The milk did not have a sign on it so you end up putting milk in your oatmeal and you thought it was water. The sidewalks needed to be scraped as soon as the snow is over. They are waiting for a lawsuit to happen. The gas station right next-door has a beautiful parking lot and you could tell they scraped it right away and made it safe. Not this hotel. The sink in the bathroom was ridiculously high. And you could hear that people next-door flushing and burping. The pillows were way way too big. And would hurt your neck. You had a hard time getting the water temperature correct in the shower. And also in the room. At first it was hot and it was hard to adjust and then it was freezing and there weren’t enough blankets. And why in the world are things like boogers stuck on the walls? It’s just gross. You could take a Kleenex and wipe the dried stuff off the wall. This place definitely needs an upgrade and people that pay attention to cleaning everything. And by the way you’re sitting by the bed with the light on and it automatically goes off. And then it flickers back on and terrible lighting.

The hotel has dirty carpet and section with no carpet, and there were carpets piled up in the lobby. There was a tissue blocking the peekhole in my door. Paying full price to be in that environment was not an enjoyable experience specially while traveling with children.

Hotel is in the process of a refresh with new carpet and updated rooms. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Everything worked as it should have. Lots of places to eat within five miles or so.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the rate was very reasonable for a suite with a separate bedroom, and the location was convenient on Interstate 95 South of Richmond. There seemed to be recent renovations within the hotel, which was a nice surprise. We would gladly repeat our stay.

Then the shower fell during my wife’s shower. I discovered the pole was secured with an automotive hose clamp. I thought I was on Americas Funnest Videos. Would NOT return.

The whole thing was a mess. The front staff - rude. The hotel smelled bad. The room was clearly not cleaned (tub dirty, carpet dirty), and also smelled bad. And they charged my card incorrectly and now I have to deal with a $105 fraudulent travel ins charge on my card. Never again!

Everything was fine at firrst until we found a roach crawling on the wall at 4am. I told the front desk and all she said was they didn’t have a roach problem and offered to spray. We don’t want roach spray in the room while we were in there. We just got up and left. The fridge never got cold either.

The bed was uncomfortable, and the room smelled of mold. I had reserved a suite, but that's not what I was given. When I reserved the room, there was about a $20 difference in the room prices, but when I tried to get a refund for the difference, I was told it was only a little more than a dollar.

They put me in room 103. There was a roach. I showed the lady at the front desk. She moved me to 105. Once I walk in, there’s a roach on the table. I wanted a refund she said no and moved me to 228. Then tried to say I couldn’t stay because she played a sound on her computer AFTER I PAID that said I couldn’t stay because I complained about roaches. I explained how ridiculous she sounded and she said I can stay but I have to leave tomorrow. Rude stafff.

Breakfast left something to be desired. But, all in all, definitely would stay here again if needed.

I gave breakfast a 4 ONLY because the waffles were sticking in the waffle machine, even with the spray. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and well-maintained. The staff we interacted with were pleasant and friendly. Rooms were clean. Would stay here again.

The room was acceptable. The bed was comfortable but the breakfast attendant had a horrible attitude. Sucked her teeth huffed at me and made a comment. When I walked up to try to get coffee that was out she mumbled under her breath It was closed for a reason. This is unacceptable. A person like this does not need to be employed in a customer facing role.

Room was dirty upon arrival, stained sheets, trash left in dresser, stained curtains, phone in room didn't work, smoke alarm battery needed to be changed, I was given a battery to change it myself

They have roaches and did not try to compensate us for that only reasonable thing they did was reimbursed us for the next night lucky there was other hotels in the area we ended up at a much better hotel with better amenities and just a little more not much

The front desk staff were very kind and patient and helped me when my room key quit working. Unfortunately the hotel smelled very musty and my room personally smelled like nicotine and piss. There was also gum on the walls. I would not stay here again.

the bedroom. Room was very clean, spacious and bed/pillows were comfortable. There were several small area that look like they were spackled and in need of paint, but that really did not impact our stay. Breakfast was “normal” for a free breakfast. My only complaint was that the eggs/bacon and potatoes were not kept hot. I would definitely stay here again.

This is the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Even the parking lot was swept clean. Breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. Ten out of ten on all fronts. And I felt safe!

It was clean and the staff was nice. Nice options for breakfast on the weekend. The hotel room had a mold/mildew smell. That was my only complaint. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The area was off the interstate but about 20 minutes from the city. The hotel could use some updating but overall clean and enough to stay for the night. Not around a lot restaurants.

Our stay was only one night, but everything was great. The staff was particularly helpful. I do have one complaint, but it doesn't affect my rating. The carpeting in the elevator was pretty disgusting, in the hallways, not so bad, but really not very good. Once you're in the room it's great.

The place is right next to gas station. Check in was good. I walked into the room and it was so musky my breathing changed (I have asthma). So I went and asked for another room and they put me on second floor. Walked in and same thing. Thought it might be me so I waited couple minutes but nope. The air was so moist and a scent of cigarette smoke. I could not stay there so told the front entrance person the issue and I found a way better hotel 20 minutes away and it was less money. I suggest this hotel get some kind of dehumidifier and air purifier for the future guests.

There was a dirty pair of jeans in the closet and a funny smell in the room as we entered. Other than it was what we needed. A place to sleep driving from Orlando to CT

Pictures are a bit rosier than accommodations but still good. Good breakfast.

scrambled eggs were to wet, the coffee was horrible. The rugs in the hallways and the elevator so dirty nothing to look at, should be change. The girl at the counter did not speak good English Our overall rating from our stay .5

Verry Bad smell

The facility was ok. Nothing special and in need of an upgrade. If you need a quick stop off of the highway and only spending the night, I guess its okay. Don't expect anything more than just average and below.

Bad smell in both rooms I tried. I guess it’s coming from AC that definitely needs some maintenance/claning as muld is building up on it.

The breakfast was the standard hotel free breakfast, the bed was comfortable, and it was easy acess to the interstate;however the hotel was not located in the best area.

The breakfast was terrible. The eggs were like powdered , terrible. The sausage gravy was cold. It just didn't meet expectations.

I would not come here again. Front desk service was fine, the room and hotel in general don’t deserve the 8.2 on hotels.com. Issues with the room, door sticks to the point I had to hit it with a shoulder to open the door, the automatic door lock wouldn’t disengage when the card was inserted, the floor was wet from humidity, smelled like mildew, a/c sort of worked, the hair dryer didn’t work, the tv didn’t work, and lastly the bathroom sink drained slowly. Too many things lined up for one room to not be common through the whole hotel.

Nice hotel, needs some updates but clean. There was a landline in the room but no wire to hook up to the wall! Lol Check in was easy and staff friendly.

The room smelled like mold. It was so humid in the room that the floor and sheets were sticky. We spent about 6 hours in the room to sleep and couldn’t wait to leave. We arrived late at night and the parking lot was shady.

Great overnight stay. Room was clean, bed was comfy, and breakfast was good too!

I believe that the hotel could use some sprucing up. The carpets need either a thorough cleaning or replacement. My room had signs of a previous water leak and was poorly patched. While at the hotel a contractor set off the Fire alarm and no warning was given to the customers of work being done and how to react to the alarm.

.Air conditioner was very loud and noisy. We couldn't use the fan in the bathroom because it made a very loud squeaky noise the whole time. I feel we got the worse room in the hotel on June 28

It was a good budget hotel in Richmond near I-95 with good continental breakfast options.

Room and bathroom are very clean and hotel staff are gracious and helpful.. Mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and hair dryer and iron are helpful in-room amenities. Breakfast included in lodging rate. Excellent!

We wrote in our notes that we needed a crib/pack and play but upon arrival they said they didn’t have one available. We had to try and Co-sleep with our baby. This hotel advertised as family friendly, yet could not accommodate a family. The bathroom door knob also kept falling off. The front desk staff was cold toward us and our situation. Will not return or recommend to others with children.

The room was clean & comfortable. The bathroom was clean & well lit.The drop ceiling was rusted & the bathtub needed recaulking. Otherwise, the room was perfect for my one nIght stay. Also the included breakfast was great with lots ofloads of yummy choices.

We stopped here as a layover driving down to Florida. We got to the hotel around 10 PM. The staff was very friendly, we had asked what time the breakfast buffet started the following morning and we were told 7 AM. We got down to the lobby around 6:30 AM and just popped our head in to the room and the person working in the front desk open the buffet for us early so we could eat before we left for our trip.

The reservation was canceled. We didnt find out until we were in town. Reservation was made through expedia. Hotel had no record of the reservation although we had an itinerary #. Not happy with Expedia. We had to make different arrangements.

Overall not a bad place to lay your head for a decent nigjts sleep. Comfy bed, nice office desk area, shower head could definately use a upgrade but overall it was ok.

When we first arrived I became concerned as the carpet and lobby are quite shabby and the elevator carpet is just awful. But upon entering the room we were relieved to see an upgraded, clean, and spacious accommodations Very good breakfast was provided

Great customer service and clean facilities

The staff are friendly, and the facility is decent. There are plenty of gas stations and dining options nearby. However, the only downside was a leak in the bathroom.

When first arrived to the hotel, the front desk associate was more interested in talking on the phone rather than helping me. When addressed, she reported she was taking a training class and continued while trying to help me.
