Room was not very clean, cracks in floor, floor board was dirty, towels had stains. Breakfast was great! Staff was friendly. Hotel just needs to be better cleaned and taken care of.

Abdul who was on staff that night was really cheerful and helpful! Room was clean and spacious, bed was very comfy, and I enjoyed the free breakfast.

Everything is great about this property the staff the restaurant located in the hotel. The ease of parking the location being close to the highway and where I need to go daily. The cost and the best part is always the staff

This is always my favorite hotel in the area, they remember their customers and their preferences no matter what website you book from. There is no other hotel I will stay at in that area their staff make me feel like I’m home away from home.

This was my first stay at Best Western.The room they assigned us at first was not good,it smelled the curtains was clearly dirty and the sheets didn't look fresh. We were going to cancel our reservation but was informed by front desk we would be charged fully.So the young lady showed us another room which was not that much better but we stayed being it was only for two nights.the restaurant food for us was horrible,took one bite of the burger and we left.I personally would not recommend this location.The staff were amazing and very friendly.The pictures on the apps are an illusion compared to what it looks like when you get there.the water was green in the pool,just not a good look for us. I would give a one star

They upcharge you for everything. Being there for National Championship weekend for the NCAA and lax tournament there were no accommodations for players and their families without charging you for every little thing. I would not recommend this hotel in the future if Virginia has the lax tournament with the national championship. Breakfast was sub par at best also.

not in the best area. The shower in my room looked like it needed a little tlc. I did not have the opportunity to use it, but the gym looked well-maintained with a variety of equipment to be used. I appreciated the breakfast that was included with my stay.

Check in took nearly an hour. Come to find out the front desk staff had checked someone else in under my name and reservation. After sitting at the desk waiting for them to contact the customer they checked in under my name and spending 20 minutes going back and forth on the phone with manager and the aforementioned customer I was finally given a room key. The front desk attendant said she had a stressful night which I understand, but the wait was unbearable. Property and room were decent at best, definitely not worth the money and not worth it at all after the very long and frustrating check in process.

Very good location highway is across the street, gas station is basically next door for those traveling, staff was extremely nice and courteous room was clean my bathroom tub could have been cleaned just a little better however overall the stay was good! I will definitely book again!

Everything was real good-staff out front, the sever at the bar in the evening, the room and the food too. The only issue we had was the outrageous noise made by a lacrosse team at 4 in the morning. Not good for a restful stay. Gary

Some of the lights in my room didn't work and there was a rather rowdy group of kids/teens causing a lot of noise near my room after midnight. A lot of channels on the TV didn't work either. My friend and I got in late from working, there was no one at the front desk and there were two guys in the lobby she said that followed us towards our room so we locked the door just in case. Other than that, our stay was fine

We found our stay at Best Western Premier very comfortable. The bed was firm and had big fluffy pillows. The room and bathroom were both clean. We had breakfast in the morning in their restaurant. It was a buffet style, had lots of the typical choices and was well maintained. The only thing I would have like to make our stay better, would be vending machines on the floors. If you wanted anything, you had to venture downstairs to the front desk area. All in all, we had a good stay.

Toilet kept backing up, when turning shower on the faucet was coming out of the wall, linens were very stained. Common areas looked well kept and breakfast was good but the room itself needed updating and a deep clean.

Booked this hotel literally because there was nothing else available with two separate beds in the area - doe to multiple events in Richmond. Will never stay there again. Staff are very nice and friendly but the property definitely can use a lot of TLC. Also - this is the first hotel (and we travel a lot because of sports) that has ZERO free extended stay. Two hours cost me $40 and after that they carve a full day PLUS a a $25 holding fee (whatever that is). And there are not decent eating places around.

We now keep returning there because of Angela. She is very lively, funny and friendly. She knows what we like by now when we come in to have a dinner after a 5 hour drive. She is very open, funny and ready to serve while the converses with us. My guess is that a lot of the guests return because of her. Nothing the I would object to.

The room was fine. The toilet didn't flush. They provided a plunger. We got stuck in Richmond caused by the FAA. Something about a strange smell at ATC. The room worked for they one night stay. The attached restaurant wasnt that great.

Staff were great and very nice. However the overall cleanliness of the property was less than desirable. Unfortunately found what appeared to be a cockroach in the room and overall the hotel definitely could use some updating. But overall price was reasonable and the outside of the two issues I mentioned the rest of the stay was good.

The sheets on both beds had rips in them, the pillowcases had small stains. Surfaces were dusty, smeared and/or had fingerprints. The sink did not have cold water - who wants to brush their teeth with warm water? Not most people. When we returned to the building after dinner last night, we saw a cockroach in the hall. So gross. We will not be back.

I reported it to the front desk attendant and she gave me a towel to cover it. The piece sticking out could not be removed.

The room I originally gotten the tub wasn’t cleaned and had someone’s hair left there. I went down to the front desk and had to switch rooms due to housekeeping not being on site to clean it. The second room I was assigned was great except the front door made a loud noise when it shuts. I had a problem with staff towards the end of my stay. I had communicated with the lady that checked me in and had me switch rooms, that I would like to extend my checkout time to 12pm on Sunday. I was told any time after would be $40, I informed I understood, and she stated she would let staff know. Sunday comes and it’s shortly after 11am, I got in the shower, and moments later I hear someone constantly knocking on the door and also trying to come in. Luckily I had the top lock on the door or else I would’ve been walked in on. I was by myself and as I’m in the shower I start to feel shaky and hoping that they would at least stop. The knocking, pushing, and pulling of the door continued for 5-10 minutes. I rushed out of the shower trying to put my clothes on so I can say something. I finally hear clearly the lady say “front desk” while still tugging on the door. I told her I was in the shower and that I would be down. At this time it was shortly after 11:30am. I made my way downstairs at 11:40am and put my things in the car. I checked out at 11:43am and advised the lady at the front desk that I wanted to make a complaint. The hotel entrance and lobby needs a makeover but overall we were surprised how nice the rest of hotel and rooms were. The lobby was clean but it looked dated and the entrance was just gloomy, not welcoming. The room was spacious and very clean and modern. This was our first stay, we were here just one night but would definitely come back.

saw a coachroach in the property which was concerning. the shower handle and the AC unit cap popped off when i touched it.

The bed was covered in poop. Like someone tried to clean it but it was still there. They offered to change rooms, but at this point I was expecting a full refund.

Good place to stop between Richmond and Petersburg. Free parking, friendly staff, hot breakfast. Room was clean with fresh towels. Easy booking. Price was a little higher than expected for 1 night although it could be due to last minute booking. The room was slightly musty smelling with debris in the closet area, and I woke up to some welts the next day that I reported to management as possible bedbugs. They assured me there were no known issues but they were looking into it. I appreciated the follow up to obtain more information just in case there was something to be fixed for future guests.

Decent affordable option for the Iron Blossom festival. Regular check in is at 3pm. Arrived Saturday at 12:30 to a virtually empty parking lot. Was informed by the front desk that they do not allow early check-ins until 2pm, and there would be a $40 fee for the extra 1 hour. She tried to explain that they do all of the turnovers starting at 11am (designated check out), not staggered as guests check out. Pretty silly policy and explanation. (Vacated rooms were being cleaned all morning before 11am when we checked out). Not as accomodating to arriving guests as most hotels attempt to be.

Thank you for accommodating my family by giving us rooms with an adjoining door. Our room was very damp and had an odd odour. The air conditioner was very noisy. Our second day we asked to have our room cleaned as we left the hotel after the cleaning staff was finished. The woman at the front desk wrote our room number down and we also explained about the air conditioner and the smell. She said she would send the maintenance guy to check it out. We returned to our room after midnight and found that nothing had been touched. We went to the front desk and explained to the gentleman that was on duty. There was nothing he could do at that point to have the room cleaned. He brought us clean towels. We explained to him about the dampness and that the sheets felt wet. He also noticed the smell from the air conditioner. He came back with bedding and a spray to help get rid of the smell. He was very kind and understanding. I’m hoping that when we are booking these hotels through Expedia that we are not given the worst room in the hotel because we didn’t book direct. This trip we booked 4 different hotels through Expedia let’s just say they weren’t the best I’ve ever stayed in. The staff in the hotel were very friendly, the ladies in the breakfast area work very hard and are very helpful.

Walking into this hotel, it initially seemed very nice and clean. However, when we got to our first room, it had a very strong odor of dog urine that was overwhelming. We went back to the front desk, and they kindly moved us to a different room. While the second room was an improvement, it still wasn’t great—there were visible stains on the sheets, towels, and furniture, which made the stay feel less comfortable than expected.

Worst hotel experience I’ve had . The rooms were dirty and smelly. I had to switch rooms cause there was stains on the sheets. I got a new room that was worse . It had a bug smashed to the wall , we paid for two nights an only slept there one. The pool is dangerous , There is an electric junction box wide open with wires exposed , one foot from the pools water so they just put an orange cone on top of it . One splash away from death

It was a good stay. I truly enjoyed it. Breakfast was included. The only thing I did not like was that you could not take the breakfast out of the serving area. Also for it to be a non-smoking hotel, the wrench of burnt marijuana would about knock you out everytime we left our rooms and went into the hallway. It got so bad that it started permeating our room, and we had to spray air freshener to try and mask the smell.

We stayed in a room with two queen beds. The room was a bit noisy, as I could hear every sound from the hallway — footsteps, conversations, and people moving luggage. There were stains on the bedsheets and pillowcases, which was disappointing. The refrigerator was old and tilted, and the microwave was also outdated. The coffee cups were chipped, and there was no hairdryer provided. On a positive note, the free breakfast was decent, offering eggs and sausage, but it lacked a waffle maker and yogurt. It was a disappointing room compared to price we paid.

This was the worst hotel we’ve ever booked on Expedia. The reviews were not accurate by any means. The hotel smelled like pot throughout and the cleaning staff had sprayed massive amounts of air freshener to cover it up. There were roaches in the bathroom, and the AC sounded like a truck engine all night and left all our belongings wet. Additionally, the bathroom had mold and the bedding appeared yellow. We couldn’t leave faster. Will never stay at another Best Western and will reconsider booking through Expedia from now on.

The negatives included finding a cockroach in the bathroom of the first room we were assigned to. There was a musty mildew smell that couldn’t be overlooked. The tub also needed to be repainted to remove brown spots. We asked to be moved to another room and were accommodated but there was still a mildew smell. No complimentary water in the room . Let’s try a little harder Best Western Premiere. I’ve lodged at your brand before and this one was a disappointment.

I came for family event and best western is a quality hotel. Besides four few items missing in the bathroom and one of my rooms. Everything else was great ,bed was comfortable. There was no loudness and I enjoyed my stay.

I got bitten by bed bugs!!! Hotel would only offer one night refund if I removed my review about the bed bugs!! We had a two night stay but did NOT stay the 2nd night because I had so much discomfort from the bites.

The first room we were in had a strong musty odor but because of timing for check in and soccer games I couldn’t do much about it the first day. Desk manager texted us and I let them know that I’d likely request a room change the following day and they were very accommodating. The room also had a pretty musty smell. It was very hot/humid in town while we were there so I’m sure that contributed but there has to be away to cut down on this. It was so bad the first night by morning I woke up with a pounding headache.

The breakfast selection was great as well as the staff. They were super friendly. We had a great and several different room and they allowed use to be right next door even though we booked at different times. Well will be back next year same time

DO NOT STAY HERE. Unless you want freakshow townies asking you for money every time you step out of the hotel. Stay here if you want housekeeping to come into your room but not clean anything or change the sheets even if you are staying more than a week. Definitely stay here if you are planning on cutting your trip short because the hotel sucks - they are just going to keep the money and not refund you a single cent. For those wondering, I had reserved 25 days, lasted 4 and the hotel is pocketing about $3,000. For a really bad experience - definitely stay here.

The stay was good, although we drove 15 hours to there ,we were a little early about 30 minutes they wanted to charge me 40.00 to check in early.i thought that was a slap in face so we waited the 30 minutes.i guess you guys are all about the money you could have cared less what we have already been through.

Adjacent to Phillips Morris. The hotel shares a parking lot with another hotel - all are on a service road. Many trucks in/out. The road is in awful shape (potholes, etc.). There is a Starbucks and Subway. The hotel restaurant does not have enough employees, to keep up with a busy weekend night (neither does the McDonalds next door). Floors are noisy with foot traffic. Kids liked the pool!

So once at the counter to check in I was given a more than expected amount to check in so I questioned it and was told they require a $25 per night incidental deposit but Hotels.com says $50 for the entire stay. So the lady that was trying to check me in made it like its always $25 per night and Im like Im staying 5 nights so basically Best Western missed out on $600 because they could not hold $125

Clean property and amenities. The staff were professional and friendly. The area was quiet and right off 95 south. It’s about 10 minutes south of downtown Richmond. Theres a restaurant at the hotel but I didn’t try out the menu because it was closed because we got there but there is a Starbucks across the street. I would stay there again.

A short overnight stay that provided what we need…a good night rest but the beds were too small for what we’re used to Breakfast was good and staff was friendly!

Allot of traffic in and out all night long. Bedding needs to be burned.

No restaurants nearby. Only the one on the property. My towels had yellow stains on them, which had me very grossed out. I decided to drive 20 minutes to stay at another hotel the following day.

THE PLACE IS GOOD BUT NOT MUCH TO EAT AROUND THERE. THE best thing is that it is next to the I95 highway.

The stay was very good in the room, it was very clean, but I didn't like that at 2 in the morning there were people smoking marijuana outside my door and talking very loudly. The smell of marijuana was very intense and the people were talking very loudly.

Could've been better, My stay in a room with 2 queens one of the beds appeared sat on like it was never made up also when I pulled back the sheets there appeared to be crumbs, also staining on the white comforter. Wish i took a picture and reported it. I was just to tired and drained from visiting my mother whose very ill. I will not stay at the hotel in the future.

Great location and hotel, safe location and right outside of the main city of Richmond. Only issue we had was hotel staff still came into our room to clean it when we had the privacy sign on the door.

The hotel restaurant and pool was not operational. It was a big reason why I selected this hotel. I had a one day visit and I needed a swim to help my medical condition and a place to eat without having to drive somewhere. The hotel didn’t achieve my expectations due to lack of convenience.

Cons: No one was at the front desk upon arrival at around 12 am. We waited for a long time. Hotel is outdated, mattress are old and in bad condition and the bar was closed. The hallway had a strong smell. There were many young people right by my room door hanging out and I felt unsafe. Contacted front desk but no one responded. Not worth the price!

Property was clean, close to the interstate, and has a restaurant on property (restaurant was not open during my visit) Staff was attentive and friendly. There was a large soccer tournament so most other hotels were booked. Im glad I chose to give it a chance. I was pleasantly surprised. My only notice was the tub handle was weird but worked, the water pressure good, and the weird faucet did not impact use. It was like the metal used to connect the faucet was too long, nothing major.

The team took care of everything. My tv wouldn't work. The staff moved me to another room within a few moments.

Overall, the facilities were good. Before check out one of the rooms was having an issue with housekeeping, even though housekeeping was very loud and knocked on the door and announced themselves, but there was some words exchanged by the guests to housekeeping. There was a kid running up and down the hallway for a few minutes on one of the days that we stayed. But aside from all of that overall we had a good day.

We arrived at the location around 1:00-1:30 a.m. and no one was at the reception. We waited for about 30 min for someone to show up and nothing. We ended up sleeping in the truck at a rest area about 20 miles north. I wish there was a notification about last check-in time.

This property was very nice but, I have to tell you what stands out to me is the lady at the front desk. She was so awesome and friendly. She got us checked in and once we made it to our room, she called to make sure we liked our accommodations I’ve never had someone call to make sure we were happy. I don’t know her name but she was awesome!

I enjoyed my stay the hotel was very quiet. Plenty of parking space. The staff was super friendly and professional. I didn't get a chance to try the Mexican restaurant connected to the hotel. I would definitely consider revisiting the Best Western.

How friendly the staff was when I checked in.

Once again my heat/air conditioning unit stopped working in the middle of the night and very loud “adult time” noises coming from rooms on both sides of me literally all night long. I mean have your fun but be respectful of your neighbors.

Upon checking into the first room, I immediately noticed it was unkempt, with hair and fingernails scattered on the floor. I reported this issue, and the staff provided me with a different room. Unfortunately, this second room was even dirtier than the first. The bathroom had hair in both the tub and on the floor, and there appeared to be mold growing in the bathtub.

During the evening was pretty quiet and staff was friendly. Cleanliness of the room was just okay. Stains on the curtains, wall stains, musty stale smell in room. Not the worst hotel, but certainly not the highest quality either. Very middle of the market place. Surrounding area wasn’t too sketchy but wasn’t as nice as I was expecting. People smoking pot in the parking lot when we arrived was a turn off. Probably wouldn’t book here again.

Wi-Fi internet is useless if you are a person who depends a lot on Wi-Fi, look for other options

Very quick overnight stay on a weekend. Check-in was smooth, the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom (shower) was a bit dated, but otherwise a pleasant stay. Would recommend this hotel to others!

First room had a cockroach. It also had an adjoining room door. We heard and understood our next door neighbor’s phone conversation, then their chosen tv program. The cockroach put me over the edge. The desk offered a different room on a higher floor, which we accepted. As we were leaving the manager offered extra points but failed to actually put them on our account.

I found a pair dirty socks under my sheets guess the housekeeper made bed up without chasing sheets if she had stripped bed down she would have found the whole pair of socks

I came around 1.30pm to check in but they refuse to let me in until i pay 40$ or i can wait an hour and half . I ask her if the room is ready she said yes but u cant chevk in until 3pm .

Was good, but before check out at 11am a housekeeper walked into our room after knocking very lightly, didn’t even think twice about the noise. My girlfriend was naked in bed and I was barely dressed. Honestly unacceptable

We needed a room for one night because we were on a long road trip. Our room felt damp and the phone receiver was sticky and smelled of stale beer. The staff was friendly. Not the worst experience, but I would try another place if we ever needed to stay in the area again.

Excellent hotel stay! The front desk staff were friendly, professional and check in was swift. The rooms were spacious, very clean and we had a pool view. There were vending machines with all the delicious snacks. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a quiet, clean and overall wonderful experience!

The gentleman that welcomed me was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. A huge plus was the attached restaurant- excellent service and the food was very good. I will definitely stay when I’m in Richmond again!

The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was not as we expected. The breakfast appeared microwaved sandwiches. The hotel location is in the mosr desirable area. The desk help was very nice and welcoming.

Other sites had reviews that made me a bit nervous, and that was pointed out to me after I had already booked, but thankfully, I didn't experience any of the negative concerns. Again, we had a GREAT stay and I will gladly stay there again!

This hotel was the nbest

Someone was smoking weed in a nearby room. It was so bad that it woke us up & it was hard to sleep from midnight - 4 a.m. I asked for a new room the next day & they did so. I will say that the front desk person I dealt with was apologetic & moved us without hassle.

Clean amd modern with the most helpful staff. There is a easy going Cafe next to lobby if you're desperate. We wanted a nice meal so chose the Southern Tail Taphouse. 10 min drive and OMG, food and live music were amazing!!!!!

The area was kinda of scary but it was clean.
