Clean and spacious room.

The facility was very dirty and only one elevator worked. The elevator had nothing posted about the last inspection. The facility was very outdated and the parking lot was also littered with trash. I would not recommend this hotel.

The location was ok. I was looking for a halfway stop that was easy to find enroute to a farther destination. I chose this place because of the higher-than-average rating on Booking.com and the price as well. Staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel was hard to find despite an accurate GPS--set back about 200 ft from the main road and the only sign for it was nearly invisible after dark--very small and mostly hidden by a tree. The luggage carts were 3-wheeled disasters (designed that way, not missing a wheel). To make matters worse, the porte-cochère apron was poured concrete scultpted to give an uneven tiled artistic texture, but that made maneuvering a loaded luggage cart into the building nearly impossible. Apparently only one of two elevators were functional, and the one that worked was dirty.

Convenient to my location. Staff accommodated me with a 1st floor room Ice machine on 1st floor was out of order. 4th floor where I had to go for ice was very hot in hallway. The elevator made a loud grinding noise when it stopped which was scary.

Breakfast was adequate. Location was good, which is why I booked it. But this hotel needs a facelift. You need to upgrade. The carpet is VERY dated in the hallways. The laminate floors in the room were cracked badly! The bathroom tub faucets were messed up! The sink out in the entry way was inconvenient! No counter space. The bedding needs updating too ... and could have been "crisper" sheets. We stayed in hotels for 3 nights after this one, and had GREAT experiences at all. This was the one bad night of our trip. I expected more out of Best Western

The property was extremely dirty. The floors in my room appeared not to have been washed before I checked in, and the elevator had trash and debris on the floor throughout my entire stay. The lobby also had a persistent funky odor. My room was disappointing. The furniture was stained, the bed was uncomfortable, and the overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I don’t mind an older or outdated hotel, especially at a bargain price point, but cleanliness is a basic expectation, and this property fell short. Housekeeping never serviced my room during my stay. The towels were flimsy and barely usable, and there was no soap in the shower. The only positive was that the hand soap was actually quite nice. The complimentary breakfast was okay—nothing special, but adequate. Even for a budget hotel, this experience was disappointing. I would not stay here again.

I double booked the room and they wouldn't help me change the date, so I'm giving them a poor review. The staff was unhelpful. Overall, the place was average, with a better than average breakfast bar, but I'm still very unhappy about having to eat the other booking.

Breakfast was standard. Everything you would expect. Dead bugs on the wall inside of the room, the smell of mold the minute you walk into the hotel, the smell of mold in all of the hallways, the dirt in the shower... the price you pay for a terrible experience.

Air conditioning not working, the main control didn't work. We discovered that moving the air conditioning cable it started and moving it to another side it stopped, so that way we could use it. No temperature was able to change. The mini bar was out of order, although it was connected and light inside, it never started at any cooler level. We stayed 7 nights, from Thursday to Wednesday, and ONLY 1 day we got the cleaning service, as we requested it in advance for it was scheduled when we would be already checked out.

Room was great! Front staff evening shift was amazing. Morning person didnt once acknowledged me as I checked out. He was the same person who said my room wasn't ready 30 mins before checking in. I understand time frames.

the a/c unit was a mess. the cover fell off and all the filters were filthy. it was loud and had no auto fan, just low and high. i turned it off. which meant i had to listen to the street traffic all night. ice machines out of order. very budge.

This is honestly one of the nastiest hotels I have ever stayed in and i have stayed in some CHEAPPPP hotels. My first room had no ac, and black mold all over the bathroom. Then I got moved and the next room the toilet didn’t even work. The carpets in the hallway are disgusting and the laminate flooring in the rooms is peeling. I never usually complain but I was here for my best friends funeral and it was already a trying time just to be left in the nastiest hotel in Virginia.

The room was pretty clean, but was lacking a shower curtain which we had to call down for. The lack of some sort of blanket or comforter was a bit off-putting for sleep as well. I also think that there their breakfast area was wanting in space.

The room and the bathroom had an odor to it housekeeping the beds were supposed to be queens, but they didn’t feel like they were didn’t look like they were queens more like they look like they were full-size beds the mirror was cracked on the bottom corner all in all mostly the snow and the hotel and then no housekeeping every time we need towels or toilet paper, we have to go to the desk to get it

Bed was comfortable, room was clean, shower was hot and breakfast was good. Only complaints we had was the walls are super thin. You hear everything. Unfortunately we had to say something at 12am when the screaming got worse but front desk was very helpful. The ac worked but was never a constant air flow. It was overall a good stay for the night.

We booked three rooms. Upon arrival, one room was fine; the air conditioning in one room didn’t work, and the door to the third room was unlocked and open with the room smelling like marijuana. The manager was unable to move into other rooms or another best western property, so we booked rooms at the embassy suites across the parking lot and checked out. Lots of hassle and stress on college graduation weekend!

If you just need a bed and are passing through, I guess it's fine. Skip the breakfast, not edible.

After showering, we walked barefoot for just a couple of minutes and had to wash our feet again because of how dirty the floor was. When it was time to sleep, it got even worse: the sheets smelled bad, the bed was completely sunken on both sides, and the pillows were awful and very uncomfortable. On top of that, there was noise all night, making it impossible to get proper rest. To make things worse, they don’t provide room cleaning from Thursday to Sunday, and if you need towels, you have to go get them yourself. I definitely do not recommend this hotel at all.

Checked in and clearly had to have been given the most jankiest room there was @ the hotel and ended up checking out early - Expedia called property for my refund and the property refused to give it to me. Didn’t matter they checked me into a room with ZERO air and an a/c unit that was sparking if anything was moved near it. Do not waste your time!!

First they gave me a room with someone. Secondly I paid for a non smoking room and the room smelled like cigarettes. Then finally they put in a handicap room which I didn't pay for...I was so upset.

The room seemed very dirty. It’s as if housekeeping came in, changed sheets, dusted the main spots, and rinsed the bathroom and sink. The linoleum floor had visible spots that were sticky, the corners of the room seemed untouched, and the bathtub could have used a real scrub.

Room was filthy....the floors have not been cleaned in who knows how long. I went to shower, put on fresh socks and they turned black after walking around for even a second. The toliet paper roll was falling off of the wall in the bathroom. The sink had finger prints all over it. The reviews seemed back and forth, I won't be coming back.

Room was in terrible condition. Floors were ripped up, paint was peeling off the walls, tried to get towels and they told me they had none. No one was ever at the front desk or answering the phone. They also don’t offer housekeeping on the weekends. Our toilet stopped working and instead of coming to fix it they handed my husband a plunger and told him to try that. Do not recommend this hotel.

Area is safe, hotel was OK. Definitely an old property that they have put some effort into such as new floors and furniture, but old stained carpets i the hall. Only 1 working elevator which was extremely slow. Gym did not require a key card for entry, so young children were coming in and playing on the machines without any supervision. Limited breakfast options. Peeling paint in the bathroom and pink mildew on the shower head.

Hotel is dated not up to the standards of Hamptons or Holiday Inns Express hotels.

Our room was adequate. The heating unit worked very well and relatively quietly. The flooring was in disrepair with several boards loose and chipped. The water temperature for showering was only lukewarm. The bathroom sink stopper did not work, There was no hair dryer. The breakfast was disappointing. It closed at 9:30, and we arrived at 8:45. Two of the main items were no longer available [sausage and biscuits]. There was much trash along the parking lot curbs. Based on our stay, the Hotels.com rating is too high.

For the price it was comfortable and quiet for one night. I was alone and saying that it would be tight quarters for two people. Bathroom very small with just enough room for a toilet and tub. Room was clean but there was a hairline crack along the tile in the tub area.

The gym was ok, there were no free weights and it could use a good cleaning. There were no towels available and I don't think a staff member has been in there for a long time. The staff member at the front desk was not very personable. I booked the room in part because the hotel has a pool but when I arrived they told me it wasn't open. I wish I had known that beforehand, that information should be advertised.

This is now my go to hotel when in the area for business. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, fitness room is great, breakfast and coffee outstanding.

The staff was really non present and not outgoing to talk to. The lobby was not clean and had trash laying around. For a non smoking hotel the whole hotel smelled of smoke. The room was clean enough but the floors had not been deep cleaned and right after the shower walking around my feet were black again and i had to wipe in bed just to be clean to go to sleep. Will not stay here again.

We come up for a half marathon race every spring and have stayed at this hotel the last two years (my friend the last 3). We’re pretty low maintenance and really just need a clean quiet place to sleep and shower. Last year this hotel was perfect for that. Unfortunately this year not so much. I don’t know if they’re in a transition with cleaning crew but it was pretty gross. The lobby floor was filthy and sticky and others checking in were quickly coming back to the desk because they were being sent to rooms that hadn’t been cleaned. Our room was made up but dirty. Dirty towels were left in the closet. There was trash and stains on the floor where previous guests had spilled something. The bedding also had stains on it. There was a dead bug on the ceiling and the vents in the bathroom were filthy. On top of that there were loud guests running around slamming doors and talking loudly past midnight. The staff was polite and nice but I will look for alternative options if we come back for the same race in future years.

Place was very clean, room was luxurious with plenty of space, I felt like I hit a jackpot. Unfortunately, there was a limit on nearby restaurants, but that's not the hotel's fault. When I turned on the tv, it couldn't provide me with any channel info so that didn't help me figure out what to watch, but as I had my laptop and tablet, that didn't matter

The main hallway carpet was filthy. Looked like it had not been vacuumed in quite awhile. From gummy bears to tooth pick-floss… the front desk gentleman was not welcoming or friendly in the least. He acted like he wanted to be anywhere other than there. There was no coffee maker in the room although there were K-Cups set out. I moved the chaise lounge to get to an outlet and when I did I found plastic rose petals (not mine) under it so I guess the rooms aren’t swept/vacuumed either. Breakfast was an absolute joke. Mystery meat sausage links, weird looking “eggs”, yogurt from a dispenser… no thanks. Very little bread options (no bagels) and everything just seemed gross. I’d rather of stayed at a quality inn or comfort inn for around the same price.

Person at the front desk said that there is no room service on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which is unacceptable and hard to believe. We were told that it would cost them extra money. We were not told clearly if it was a corporate policy or just local policy for this particular motel.

Room was dusty, very dusty, the tissue box plastic cover shows months or years of dust stock on it. Bathtub had mold on the calked area that could have easily been clean with a good scrub and cleaner (like bleach for example) it just needs some attention.

The location of the hotel was not what I had anticipated, as it is surrounded by car dealerships, which made the area feel less inviting. Additionally, I felt somewhat uneasy about the ambiance and the behavior of some individuals both outside and within the hotel, leading me to prevent my 16-year-old daughter from using the gym. While I understand this hotel isn't a five-star establishment, I expected a sense of safety and comfort that was lacking. I would rate my experience 2 stars; however, I want to emphasize that the warm welcome from the check-in staff stood out positively amidst the challenges. If improvements are made regarding security and the condition of the facilities, I believe the hotel could greatly enhance its guests' experience.

Room was a handicapped room, did not request it, #136. It took 20 minutes to get hot water for shower. Waste of energy. 2 towels and 2 washcloths. No hand towels. Breakfast in morning was not up to usual standards. We have stayed here numerous times. Will rethink whether we stay here again.

Staff was not very accommodating As an essential shift worker, they wouldn’t accommodate a later check out and stated they had no rooms available to extend my stay due the storm. However I went on Expedia and booked another night to be able to stay the next night. They proceeded to say that they never saw the booking and that I needed to reach out to Expedia. I’m thankful for the representative that I spoke to at Expedia for calling the hotel and getting this rectified for me. I then had to speak with the front desk to ensure I wouldn’t have staff knowing on my door and waking me up, and I’m glad I did this as they didn’t link the new booking to my current. Very poor communication and not accommodating.

Things are just not kept up, toaster in the breakfast room, rather than just buying a new cheap toaster, they have two bread slots taped off so you don’t use that side. We had to change rooms, because the smoke alarm was beeping. Our cheap little microwave had a “replacement” glass turn table that didn’t fit for that microwave so made a bunch of noise, I checked it, and sure enough it wasn’t just not put in correctly. The room was not clean. No Shampoos. The staff were kind enough, They just aren’t investing in the place.

The staff was fine, slow check in. Breakfast was about on par with what you would expect. The floors in my room were sticky, fridge was filthy with giant chunk of ice frozen to freezer section, toilet dirty. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything your neighbors say. The bypass door to connect the adjacent room was locked only by a turnable deadbolt, which can only be imagined in the same on the other side. This made it feel unsafe

The 1st room was dirty blood on sheets hair in soap dish. Electrical problems lights and wall circuit not functioning. Toilet was filthy withdried up diarrhea all dried up no water in toilet.had to be moved to room 133. Ni hot water. Very dirty frig night clerk had to come and clean had hair in it. Toilet was clogged handed a plungerby mash and we had to unclogg ourselves. Didnt have a tub in this. I have a medical condition that is helped by warm soaks. So...the nught clerk offered to give us another room so we could get hot water. Now mind you. My husband is a left atm amputee and i have llimited strength. No one offeted to help with the moves.we slept in our clothes got little to no sleep as fan did not maje any noise.ater 12 hours of druving we are supposed to be able to take a shower and relax and fall asleep. Hear it is almost 1am and we r wide awake from playing slum hotel rodeo. I have puctures to prove all theese claims

Rooms are super small, my toilet did not work, I was told to plunge myself! I poured soda down the toilet and to my surprise, the toilet ran as if it was going to overflow! Only great thing was the coffee and the guy that checked me in when I arrived!

The staff help was good. The room could have been better--we ran out of tissue (Kleenex), I could barely turn around in the bathroom, no clock for a wakeup alarm, the carpet in the hall was torn and frayed in too many places. On the good side, breakfast was very nice. Love the pancake making machine!

The bathroom was smaller than the reg best western. And always have to ask for more face clothes when you rent a 2 bedroom and communicated there will be 4 people in the room but have to ask for 2more face clothes.

Room too crowded with furniture, some of it tattered or askew. Worst thing: The heating/AC system is extremely loud. Even when it is not in use, the noise from those in neighboring rooms is intrusive.

I don’t usually write reviews and am not usually harsh in my feedback but this was probably the least clean hotel I have ever stayed in. There were dirty blinds, peeling wallpaper, rips in the wallpaper but the worst things were the dirty pillow cases and hairs in the bathroom. I’m glad we were only here one night as I would have left earlier otherwise. Had we not checked in late, I would have asked to move rooms. This was a shame as the staff were generally nice (except for the woman at breakfast that was rude). If things are ok and dated, that’s not a problem in a budget hotel but a lack of cleanliness is inexcusable.

Had everything exactly as we needed. Nothing special, but nothing terrible. Just a perfect quick little stay. Also LOVED the espresso machine at the front desk

2. Our room was nice, breakfast was sufficient. 3. We couldn't connect to wifi...said too many users. Went to front desk to make them aware. Clerk said no one else has complained. I said I was complaining. No response. We walked away without results.

Building needs some reno, but overall great for the price paid.

Breakfast the first morning was good with many options. The second morning wasnt that great. The bathroom was very small and the AC wouldnt cool off the room below 75 degrees.

Sink plug in my room did not work. HVAC grille was smashed (cosmetic issue only), Only one ice machine working and was not notified so had to visit them all before finding a working one.

Room was not up to my standard of cleanliness. Hair in the shower and refrigerator. Dust everywhere - in the corners, on the refrigerator, around the bed. The AC unit was so dirty and old. Hallways looked unkept and only one elevator working.

I was disappointed in the room because it was small, the bathroom was very small, and the shower head was low. The sink was outside the bathroom; the flooring had a large water damaged area (laminate floor). There was a rickety desk on wheels, and a very uncomfortable desk chair right in front of the TV. On the plus side, I liked the bed spread although it had a few stains on it. Also there are many places to plug in and charge your electronic items.

The beds were comfortable but there was a good amount of mold in the shower and the fridge was dirty. Worked for what we needed but we probably wouldn't stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Very reasonable rates. Convenient location in light of the fact that our car had broken down and we had to Uber it over here. Olive Garden and Starbucks within walking distance.

I stayed here for the Bailey Zimmerman concert and it was AMAZING! Check in was really quick. Rooms are clean and beds comfy. I love how the TVs have HDMI ports, I was able to play my video games. Breakfast was amazing with a variety of hot options, including eggs and sausage gravy. Cinnamon Toast Crunch in the cereal rotation. Place is close to lots and much cheaper than staying downtown.

The rooms were clean but we had to switch rooms during our 2 day stay due to the sink being stopped up and then the 2nd room they moved us to the sink was working, but then it randomly stopped draining. Also, the breakfast is included but the times are not accurate ...on the app it says m- f 630 am to 930 am and the weekends its says its 630 am- 10 am but in actuality it 630 am to 930 am 7 days a week. I would definitely stay again but they ABSOUTELY need to work on the issues with the sinks because brushing your teeth and washing your face shouldn't cause the sink to stop draining water. This occured in Rooms 317 and 318.

The the exterior of the hotel was good, the neighborhood was okay, not too shady. the floor of our room just had a little bit of dirt debris, definitely wore house shoes inside. it was clean overall. one of the mattresses did have some stains on it so I would recommend them changing out their mattresses every so often or adding more covers on to their mattresses before a new person comes into the room. of course the shower did not drain very well. the shower curtain had some dirt on it. but if I only had to stay for a night or two that would be an option for us again. We had a complimentary breakfast and they had good options and it tasted good

Service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was so-so. Long lines and food wasn’t always readily available. Breakfast room needs to be larger as it was cramped with people.

They offered an excellent breakfast buffet. The swimming pool was nice. But the rooms are not very professionally made. The paint job on our room was very poor, but that really did not decrease the pleasure of our stay. It was a nice place and very good internet access, a nice comfortable bed.

Cozy place good for one or two days stay.

Hotel was clean, nice & comfortable. However, a storm came up & knocked out ALL electric on Board St.and the Hotel did not have a backup generator! Still Peter at front desk was pleasant & got us a FLash Light and lights came back around 9:30/10pm. This morning we spoke w/manager who achknowledged they need to have backup generator. Still nice people & clean Hotel. Yes we would stay again.

This hotel was ok for one night. Everything was dirty and old. The hallways needed swept and elevators needed cleaned. Paint and drywall was crumbling in room and bathroom. The staff was NOT friendly or helpful at all. In the breakfast room there were 2 ladies working who were so rude to everyone.

The Expedia reviews for this hotel were good, especially for the price. I took a chance and the hotel is underwhelming. The building is old and the hallways and elevators are dingy. The hallway carpet seems to be from the 1970s. The rooms are toupdated, the flooring is LVP and the furnishings are nice enough. The bathroom was clean, but old. Overall the room is fine, but the hotel overall is not the best.

Breakfast was not good, didn’t restock much. Eggs but then no sausage, sausage then no eggs. Slow on refilling milk, had to ask. Cleaning tables with same cloth they clean the inside of the muffin-bread bin.

I liked everything except when I got ready to get in the bed and the sheets were dirty.

Hallways and elevator were disgusting. Customer service was great. While rooms were mostly updated, some of the work done was far from good. Breafast was decent. I had to ask for bedding for the sleeper sofa but bedding was brought up to room quickly.

Decent hotel - nothing spectacular. Basic rooms but very clean. Property seemed a little older. Staff were pleasant and polite. Safe area with plenty of dining options in the area.

The Customer Service was great

The frist room there were ants. I was reluctantly gaven another room. The second room is just ok. Not especially clean in th back corner with the lamp. The AC did work but very nosiey when starts up and shuts down. Rooms are humid. Need towel bars in bathroom and by the sink. I did have privacy sign up for 6/20 but not for 6/ 21 and not cleaned or new towels replaced.

The room was musty and smelled terrible. It made my clothes smell musty! My coffee maker did not work, they said they would get it taken care of. Checked out early!!

The room flooring was popped up and after repeated attempts to change rooms, duct tspe the floor or being given an area rug, all suugestions I offred, bone the staff did, i laid towels down to avoid tripping. The a/c only made the room damp and clammy, and my guess is they havent bern ckeaned in years. I am absolutely surprised that Best Western would alliw their name to be onba property that is aged, and has a staff that was less custoner service oriented than an alien from Neptune.

You can hear other guests through the walls. No kleenex. Small sink for 2 guests. Good shower. Limited parking. Small crowded breakfast room.

The overall condition of the property was run down. Other than the lady that checked us in everybody else was unfriendly. The guard at the continental breakfast made it clear that she wanted to be somewhere else. The staff cleaning the rooms were very friendly.

We stayed three nights at this hotel, and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel was clean (hall carpet a little dingy). Our room had tile floor which made the room feel clean and fresh. Beds were comfy and the room was equipped with a nice large television. We did not use the pool; however, we did walk out to take a look and the pool and pool area was nice and clean. The only negative is the elevator. Only one elevator was working and it was slow. Overall, we do recommend this hotel and will likely visit again if in the area.

Our room floor was very dirty and other surfaces too. We even found a sock and some trash(cups and napkins) underneath the chair on the side of the bed.

Nice stay. Kids loved the pool. Good location. Breakfast was decent. Could use more hooks in the bathroom, but that’s a minor complaint.

It’s a good hotel for the money

I enjoyed my stay, it was very peaceful.

It was my son and my service dog, the front desk was extremely professional and accommodating.

I have traveled a lot with my son for sporting tournaments. And this hotel is fine for a place to stay. The rates were reasonable, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable and the AC worked really well. I will say that the bathroom is probably the smallest we have ever seen and the breakfast they serve was probably the worst we have seen. But for a place to stay, it is perfectly fine. Don't plan on checking in early as it appears that they have to visually look at the rooms before they can tell you if a room is available early. It was a strange check in process.

The bed and pillows were comfortable though. Between a rock and hard place i could stay here again.

The receptionist was very polite and checked me in rapidly. Also informed me of continental breakfast times. I don’t think I have a dislike.

It was an OK motel - nothing great and nothing horrible. In general the place needs updating but at the same time, it is less expensive than other motels in the area so as the saying goes "You get what you pay for."

Hotel was decently clean. In a nice area with plenty close by shops and things to do Rooms and bathroom were a bit compact and tight. Hotel overall gave more of a traveling for work feel. Doesn’t really give a family hotel vibe. Breakfast was hot and delicious with a wide variety of choices. Wouldn’t mind spending a night or 2 if I’m in the area again

Our toilet wasn’t flushing properly and in the middle of the night, I went to use the restroom and the toilet flooded the entire bathroom and flowed into the bedroom. We had to wake everyone up and move to another room. It was frustrating, but the staff did quickly accommodate us by giving us another room.

First night was ok. Next morning elevator was broken. Only stayed 2 nights and the morning of checkout realized that my debit card number was stolen. O my person it was given to was the front desk at check in. They charged $130+ dollars on my card. Still waiting to hear the from the manager. Never staying there again

One of the two elevators went out of service within hours of our arrival. The employees NEVER marked it "Out of Order". It was not fix during our 2 day stay. Only 1 ice machine was working during our stay.

Never clean the room

The rooms themselves were clean but did need some touch up, needs some caulk around all areas. The gallways were way outdated, need new carpet throughout. The elevators needs some maintenance, and i also saw no certification on the elevators. The security was very limited both access doors were wide open/unlocked. 2nd day i also did not have hot water in my shower. The in rooms fridge smelled bad after 3rd day. Room setup was standard and fine for just a stay and shower. Breakfast pretty much a low income setup. Cereal, oatmeal, & muffins etc.

The only positive was the reasonable price. Everything else was sub-standard.

The front desk staff were great. The room cleaning was not great. The firealarm would go off when the shower was running we had about 10 minutes for a shower.

Decent enough hotel. Does need a deep clean. Very disappointed there is no room refresh. Nothing worse after a long day to walk into your room with no new towels, unmade bed etc. The have 2 elevators but only run one. Not very good when busses and groups come intro hotel. Would not go back.

This is not what I am used to getting with Brst Western. The floor was pealing up and the room had not been cleaned well. There was a Burger King bag left in the room from the last person.

The location was close to everywhere we wanted to go, so that was convenient but room service didn’t come clean our room, the floor had some kind of nasty, slippery film on it, they didn’t have the proper remote for the tv, the refrigerator was leaking and the check in process took forever.
