I have serious food allergies and this is the first hot breakfast I could eat some of w/o fear. They even had almond milk. It may seem trivial, but when awày from home, being able to eat without fear is such a wonderful thing. The staff was wonderful - both night and day staff. They even helped me with my things - I'd recently broken my wrist and couldn't manage on my own. My room was clean and had everything I needed, even a table that slides over your lap at the side chair with foot stool. Microwave and fridge. An actual closet w/ a door and ironing board/iron and several wooden hangers. The bathroom had ample towels, soaps, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and a shower cap. Even a hair dryer. The bed/pillows were comfortable and clean. All in all, I would absolutely stay here again. Simply because of how great the staff was and how diverse the hot breakfast was for those with different dietary needs. I was not there long enough to know about other amenities. I hope this review helps you with your hotel selection.

Room was clean and basic. Fitness room bland. Breakfast ok. Overall ok for the price.

The elevator was also painfully slow. There is some noise bleed-over between floors. We heard running above us every night. The desk staff is not very welcoming. I do have to say that. During check-in the clerk never smiled or welcomes us to the property. Desk staff did not greet people as they came and went. I will say that the kitchen staff was nice and personable and attended to any needs immediately.

Love the 24/7 coffee, always hot fresh, cookies. My dog Mr. Tucker was welcome. Staff greeted him always. Didn't use but pool open till 10pm. That it was time to leave and go home.

The room was very clean and staff ask if there anything she can for us the next day. We were given fresh towels and the breakfast was excellent.

While this hotel is a little bit older than some of the others in the same area, it is very clean and quiet and made for the perfect quick stay as we traveled. It is further set back from the road than other properties so there was no road noise at all. We slept very well. The bathroom was very clean & had good water pressure/temperature. The ac worked perfectly, black-out curtains were a plus, and the beds were comfy and clean. Staff was also very kind and accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Our stay here was excellent. Room very clean, bed really comfortable, breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and attentive. On the road for two weeks now, and this was the best breakfast we had.

The location was good for our drive. Staff at check in seemed annoyed that we arrived when we did (after 9pm). It was humid outside and it felt sticky in the room in spite of the a/c running. I wasn't confident in the cleanliness of the room but didn't bother calling the desk because of the "greeting" that we received at check in. We just went to sleep and checked this hotel off our list of future stays.

I had a room with a window view of the wooded area and the little grass park in the back, which made me feel right at home. Everything was well maintained, and very comfortable felt like a brand new property.

Quiet and walking distance to Cracker Barrel I thought $84. They have a small dog stay one night WAs too expensive and he had metal piece on the side of the frame where you would practically cut your chin wide open.!!!!!

It was clean! That is so important! It was old. I can get over, but the light switches had holes in them, that is a simple fix, and the sheets had holes in them.

I was thoroughly impressed with everything and couldn't find a single aspect to criticize or dislike.

Everything was pretty good. Most of the breakfast was good but the eggs and bacon were less desirable. Overall, can’t complain.

Great place to stay for around 100 bucks. Jets on spa broken but it is indoors which is a big plus

The location was ideal for what I was in the area for. The room was clean and the ac was nice and cold. The staff was helpful when you approached them with questions or concerns. Overall good stay.

This year we came in with a new celiac diagnosis on board. The breakfast staff went into the kitchen and double checked ingredients for us to make sure my son knew what he could have. We didn't even ask! She overheard us talking and just took care of us! We will 100% be back. I'm tired of checking out the other hotels and wasting my money in Richmond Hill.

They did not have a room for me. I had to find a different place to stay.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The sheets had long hair on them. Pillow cases had stains on them. Bathroom sink had gunk on handle and room was dusty. Tape on the back of the remote.

The room was very clean and the staff was w onderful. I had a problem with the TV and was not turning on the hot water correctly and the staff was up to my room in a few minutes to help. The breakfast was excellent too. The TV could have been better. It kept losing the internet.

We were on a road trip and just needed a place to sleep for the night. Once we found this place we were pleasantly surprised at how clean it was. The staff was very helpful and gave us some good, but limited choices of where to get food. No fault of theirs. It is a pet friendly place which made us feel at home but also there were no signs or smells of any unruly pets being in our room or on the property. The price was fabulous and I plan to stay there again next time I take this route on a trip.

The next we stayed and candlewood suites in Fredericksburg for the same money and it was awful. Tv didn’t work, filthy and smelled like smoke. No refund or didn’t care. We travel a lot and we will look for best western for sure.

Staff was super helpful. I was travel with my 77 year young mom who has Alzheimers. They gave a room close to front so mom did not have to walk so far. I will be staying there again the next time I pass through.

The staff, both check in and check out were super nice and accommodating. Got hot water for tea in the morning, water with oranges and lemons at night along with cookies. We couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Spacious room with comfortable bed and pillows. I liked that it had separate sitting area, micro and fridge. Bathroom had tub shower. Tub is plastic with slick, rounded bottom which made showering feel precarious. There were no grap bars, bath mat missing. Carpet in room & hallways has an odor - possibly because pets are allowed. Breakfast was mediocre.

It was dark and tired looking. Mattress was flat and hard, pillows were like sleeping on rocks. No up to date toiletries in the bathroom. Toilet was the lowest ever. Towels were paper thin worn out. A dank sour smell in everything. This is a $70.00 per night hotel. They may as well tear it down and start all over.

The hot tub was not working

Clean rooms, pool is heated as the hot water spills down from the hot tub. Ive seen 6 people crammed into the hot tub and at least 8 people in the pool so its quite popular.

I walked in at 6pm. Asked for a discounted walk in price, knowing the expedia price before hand. Walked back out and booked with expedia as it was cheaper.

The pool was perfect. Not too big, not too small, very warm and the hot tub is perfect. I would have stayed in the hot tub but I was with my 4 year old and she had a great time in the pool. She loved that it wasn’t cold and it was in doors. The rooms were fine, no complaints. Would stay here again.

One suggestion: new mattresses please. Too soft and a bit sunken in. More support is better.

Clean room, building is a bit old, needs some updating but overall acceptable. Bed was comfy, needs new pillows but linens were clean. Staff was friendly, especially the breakfast area lady. She was right on top of things kept everything full and clean. Breakfast consists of scrambled egg, sausage patties, pastries, pancakes, cereal, apples and coffee. They also did have an alternative milk product. Yes I would stay again price is right great breakfast, comfy bed plenty of hot water for shower.

Check in was a nightmare. The hotel had granted my request for an extended checkout, but the front refused to honor it. The front desk also refused to put me in touch with someone who could honor the request. They said it was up to housekeeping, and I would have to check back in the morning. After almost an hour of trying to contact Hotels.com, the desk clerk finally called housekeeping who granted the request. Could have done that at the beginning and saved everyone a lot of hassle. I don’t like last minute surprises, especially those that I tried to work out in advance.

For a quick overnight stay on a roadtrip, it was a great stop. The front desk staff was kind and helpful. The complementary breakfast was nice. We used the pool and hottub and, while small and a bit old, they were clean and usable! The room/hotel itself seemed a little run down from its age and could use some improvements, but for the price, it was nice enough.

When I got there that night the girl who checked me and was very friendly and pleasant. Got to the room it's a little dated. The duvet and comforter had some red stains like blood and the other one had whatever grayish stains on it. People don't want to sleep with stained comforters. The shower head and door pressure was awful. The breakfast was decent, the mattress was decent, for the most part it wasn't a bad stay. The woman in the morning could have been a little bit more personable and friendly. The woman who tended to the breakfast was very pleasant

The room could have had better sleeping pillows; also the carpet needed to be vacuumed. On the next to the last day of my visit, I saw a dead cockroach behind the toilet....not good. All the staff were very nice and accommodating.

The room was very noisy. It was ground floor with a window facing the parking lot. There was a constant rumble from inside the wall separating the other room that sounded like a plumbing pipe. We had just stayed at the Home2 Suites down the road and it was quite a downgrade for a measly $20 per night savings. The breakfast was satisfactory but when the guest left after 9am, several people that did not appear to be guests came in from the street, one of them with a putrid smell, to eat the leftover food that had not been consumed. The staff allowed this. I returned to my room instead of finishing my coffee because it was not a comfortable setting. I am returning to the area on Saturday January 3rd for a two night stay but will look for other accomodations

The hotel was extremely clean, the room was very adequate, the breakfast was what we would have expected, all the staff were very friendly and professional. Night front desk staff Sam went above and beyond. He was there every night that we were there and always greeted us with a friendly smile and didn’t hesitate to stop and have a conversation. Cindy, the breakfast employee was always very helpful. Make sure the food items were stocked and was extremely friendly.

Musty Smelling Room 225. I kept sneezing and sneezing. There was some weird noise like a pigeon outside the window much of the night. The pool was refreshingly warm! The hot tub was crazy hot. The pool is pretty tiny but being warm made it nice. The pool room is pretty unmaintained. Rusty vents and maybe never cleaned floors? Breakfast was about what you expect. Good bacon and pancakes. The Orange Juice was set to a crazy concentrate so you need to add water or it’s really strong. Artificial eggs I’m guessing gave me my explosive bathroom break an hour later. The lobby looks cozy and maintained, but the little pantry room is a mess and the door should probably stay shut. The bed wasn’t very cozy. The fridge is pretty loud as is the AC in our room and the neighbors. A couple times there was an incredibly loud sound like I was taking off in an airplane coming from outside. I don’t know what it was. You really hear lots of noises. The room was repainted with a sprayer and whomever did it got it in the ceiling and didn’t care. The room was a good deal so I would give 3 out of 5 stars, but that’s largely because of price.

All three bath towels were dirty with long hairs stuck to them, and the hand towels had darks stains. The housekeeper walked into my room at 9am in the morning while I was still sleeping. I was SO startled. The room also had a terrible musty smell. It was disappointing that the quality of the stay wasn’t consistent with previous stays at this property.

In need of some updates the toilet is a real shorty and the bathroom fan was extremely noisy. Also it didn’t work hardly at all as the mirror wouldn’t clean. The bed was as very comfortable and we have always enjoyed this location and have been coming for years. Needs a little improvements and care and would be back to normal.

It is disappointing to see the conditions and amenities have gone downhill. There were always warm cookies when we would get there. Gone. The bathroom only had soap for the shower area. When we went to breakfast, that has definitely changed. Not as good at all. Only regular coffee. The yogurt only came out dispenser. Miss the quality it use to be.

Parking was fine, room was clean and beds were comfy…unfortunately didn't get a chance to use the Hot tub.. staff was excellent! Friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn’t give an excellent rating in all categories is that the breakfast was only average. And all 3 mornings that we were there the coffee continuously ran out-in the dining room and the front area lobby… and the hostesses had to be alerted by the guests…

The rooms smelled like mildew and the floors felt damp. Hallways smelled like pot. Beds were comfortable and I slept well but the mattresses were very springy which I don't think a lot of people would like. I have stayed in this hotel about 4 times now. I don't know if the owners changed or what but I feel the quality has gone down and I don't think I will stay there again.

Sam at front desk was very nice. Cleaners barged into our room with their own key at 830am even though we had until 11am to check out. Spa was "out of order" Pool is very very small. Nothing to do in the area. Room cleanliness was mediocre.

We had three children and two adults. They would only give us three towels. The indoor pool was hot and had caterpillars all around it. We only got room service one day. We visit often to Richmond Hill and this is our second stay here. I don’t think we will stay here next time. The check in staff was very nice.

The room was clean and comfortable which is what everyone looks for in an overnight hotel stay. The breakfast was excellent!! Water was hot and pressure great. The only two issues were the toilet is one of those low 14” toilets that makes you feel like it’s for a child and the AC must have leaked because the rug around it was wet. We reported that to the desk. It was quiet being off the hiway and we slept well :)

Overall good hotel. Nothing spectacular but it was not old or gave off bad vibes. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was included. The staff were all friendly. Only issue we had is that we came back to the hotel late (after midnight) and parking was full. I might have taken the last spot. the next morning the entire lot was empty except for our car and 2 others. Would stay here again if I was in the area and needed a spend a night or two.

The Best Western Plus in Richmond Hill has a welcoming lobby and a good continental breakfast, and the rooms are spacious. That said, it’s definitely a budget hotel — my shower showed spray-painted patches from a renovation, the room didn’t feel especially clean, and the bedspreads had visible snags and scuffs. Fine for a quick stop, but don’t expect more than the basics.

I normally wouldn’t write a review for these little things because it’s only a one night stay, but the door to the room has a large gap big enough to put a phone under (we tried) and that feels odd and unsafe. I don’t necessarily feel unsafe in the hotel but things happen in “safe” places too.

It was the only place with a hot tub that we could find. The rooms smell like dirty laundry and there are cockroaches. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was friendly.

Decent for the price, hotel staff very nice. Breakfast could be better (no muffins,milk,yogurt,basic fruits)

The ac wasn’t that good but other wise it was great!

Property was ok. Room itself was dated and filthy. The bathroom fixtures were rusty and it was gross. Would not stay again.

The entire staff was awesome! Super nice and accommodating. Rooms nice and clean as well. Breakfast was also great. Not a huge selection,but for what was provided,it was good.

Check in was great with the front desk. Hotel looks to be in very good shape and hallways are clean. It’s the Southeast, so yes I saw some cockroaches (parking lot) and a millipede (lobby) before getting to my room, but not many like an invasion or anything gross. Room is ok, but musty smelling as the air conditioning isn’t properly removing the humidity, and it could use a few small repairs, like the shower handle. Still, very good for price and happy to have clean linens and smiling greetings after road trip.

It was one of the best motels we have stayed in with our dog. The dog fee was reasonable.

Room was OK but the microwave didn't work and the tub didn't drain - it literally was still full of water the next morning. Fridge was also dirty. Breakfast was average and fine.

Customer service from the front desk was outstanding. The rooms were clean. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend staying there.

We have stayed here manybtimes on the way to Florida however this will be our last. Hotel is now run down and filled with mold. We stayed in room 314 immediate off the elevator stunk like wet floors. Our toilet was clogged upon entering and we had to go get a plunger. Not someone come fix it. The room felt wet, damn and the beds as well

Alarm started going off while swimming. Lady said there was a gas leak and had us get out. Gas leaks aren’t something to use as an excuse or take lightly. Tv also didn’t work. Not exactly ideal for traveling with kids

The staff here were wonderful, though, friendly, and knowledgeable. Also, the breakfast was great and they have excellent coffee. The bed was nice as well: firm and supportive, and they do have excellent blackout blinds.

Look to stay somewhere else. Everything about this place is Cheap. From 1 ply toilet paper, thin towels, musty smelling rooms, very small shampoo bottles, to a sparse breakfast that ends at 9AM, this place is spartan. Although it advertises that it's pet friendly, it stil codts $30 plus tax per pet and you must sign a contract (yes a contract) that outlines about 12 different things that will result in an additional $150 fine (their term, fine). It left me with a feeling that I could be charged $150 after we completed our stay. There are better options to stay nearby.

The front desk seems like do not want to work there. They sit in the lobby alot and when you need something or ask something, they made you feel that you are bothering them.

I didn't like our room. It was loud as close to the front desk (2nd floor) and directly in front of the parking lot. So I would hear the people coming to check in and hear the cars. Also, the front desk person wasn't always there and I had to wait

Also, I don’t agree with the pet fees. I know the fees are there because people can’t clean up after their pets. But, there should be a deposit system. Put a deposit down on your pet, hotel checks the room at the end of the stay and returns the deposit if everything is okay. My dog comes into my room, maybe eats his kibble then sleeps. No damage, no barking, etc. and I’m not the person that does the “fake” service dog thing to get free pet fees. I don’t think it’s right to the people who do have service dogs for a specific reason.

We needed a safe and convenient place to stay overnight on a road trip with our baby. Located close to the highway, easy to find, easy to park, easy to check in. Wasn’t the quietest or most pristine hotel we’ve been in, but it was fine for what we needed. Double room was big enough for our pack n play and there was a bathtub.

Upon entering room, we were met with strong, pungent dog odors. Now, of course we did ask for a dog room because we have have a Shih Tzu. I have never stayed at a hotel where the smell was that pungent for a room designated for an animal. There were stains on the duvet cover. I did inspect the bed and it did not have any hairs in the bed. However, when I went to take a shower, there were two long stringy hairs on two of the bath towels. The tub did not seem like it was cleaned. I did not opt to take a shower here during this stay and I was glad it was just for an overnight as I was going home shortly. I washed up as good as I could in the sink. The faucet leaked too. The room was very damp feeling, musky and stuffy. My clothes took on the smell of the room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone but rather go next-door to the Fairfield Inn. This hotel is very outdated.

1. While at the front desk, the attendant was video chatting her boyfriend. My baby granddaughter was with me and she said her boyfriend “wanted to know if he could see the baby”. Said no of course. He could have videoed her, targeted for human trafficking or worse. 2. We had to have our key reprogrammed a few times. Each time was a new attendant and we were never asked to show ID or anything, just our room number. Anyone could have asked for any room number.

Staff was excellent! The room and beds were clean and comfortable and the Sunday breakfast was very good. Pool and hot tub are starting to look a little old.

Staff was cooking dinner in a crock pot at 10 pm. Both evening as well as the mid shift clerk. Very un professional. No coffee available.

Bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly. The pool is oddly small but nice to relax in and at the time I stayed the spa was out of order. Overall its a good place to stay, I would go back if in the area again.

The bad: dead cockroach on the floor; exercise equipment looked to be vintage from 1982 (possibly from Poland) - almost unusable; keys to room didn't work until at least the 10th try; breakfast (free) was fake eggs and greasy bacon. Will not stay there again.

Hotel was pretty nice. Breakfast was ok. Housekeeping was great. We did have issues with the TV apps not loading due to some internet set up and phone not working. Not a fan of the pullout sofa. I’d stay again nevertheless.
