I would stay here again for business due to the proximity to work. Less than 10 min drive to and from. Close to restaurants and gas though gas nearby is pricey. No issues with safety as far as location and did have free internet but open network. Fridge, microwave, and coffee machine was nice and overall very clean by staff daily. Well lit at night for parking area. No phone to front desk which wasnt an issue for me. No clock in room so you do have to rely on yourself. Minor holes in wall, bathroom door and ceiling tiles in shower need replaced. A good protected internet would be better. Was on bottom floor and after work you could here what may have been kids running across floor so not well insulated probably due to wood flooring. Not sure if they were "live ins" or temp guests but occured nightly 5 days of the week while there. Ice machine was broke and no breakfast bar offered even though the lobby appeared it used to be set up for it.

Apparently "bed sheets (changed on request)" must also be requested by new guests at check-in: there was a lighter under the mattress pad!!! Among the other issues: Wifi did not work in the room; the door has definitely been kicked in (by the police possibly??); there was dried-up used bar of soap stuck to the floor of the shower (btw, there was no plastic shower curtain); one of the doors to the vanity was broken off and stuffed inside, under the sink. Had to put on A/C to cool off the room (it was 74F) where outside it was -5F. They say, you get what you pay for... actually here, you get whatever they can get away with! Never again

The wall HVAC unit did not work properly, the controls didn't seem to affect anything. The unit just randomly very loudly turned on every 15 minutes. But it did not seem to be producing heat. There were no blankets in the room. There was no breakfast, nor coffee. The coffee pot in the room was filled with some disgusting liquid. The lady in the parking lot engaged in dumpster diving was entertaining.

I found it to be unsafe. It looked like a place with rooms rented by the month for transients, which is not a problem except they were sitting outside their rooms and I did not feel safe. My room was filthy, vinyl bedspread that looked like a table cloth. I lifted it up to see the sheets, they were not tucked in and came off exposing the mattress pad that had blood on it in many areas. I went to the office and said I could not stay here. They said I had to contact you for a refund because they did not want to pay the $20 processing fee you would have charged them. I could not get through your phone AI. I kept putting in the invoice# and it would not go through. I would like a refund. Please direct me as to how this can be accomplished.

I think there need to be more focus on the rooms, bathrooms and rugs. I was trying to use the phone to call room service and The phone did not work.

After my thermostat exploded in my apartment I was left finding a dog friendly place to stay with my 14 year old on a school night. Called beforehand they confirmed 50 incidental 10 dog. Arrived and they waived dog fee because shes a service animal. Thought how nice. Then I was the room and realized they had no business charging even the incidental. It was the most disgusting room ive ever seen. Department of health needs to investigate this location. Pictures to follow

Checked in. Got into the room and it smelled terrible and was unclean. Lifted up one of the mattresses and found so much black particles that we were not even sure what it was. Stayed 5 minutes and left. Dropped off the cards and told them we were not staying.

Fast, easy check-in. Room was clean. Bathroom is a little outdated. Cheap deal- well worth it.

asked to speak to a manager... apparently there is no manager, I was told " they just work there, no manager works here". That tells me alot, no one seems to care about cleanliness at all. Needless to say, I will never stay there again. I'm thankfully it was for only one night while passing through town. Stay cleae of this place!!!

The room smelled bad and was extremely dirty. Everything there, from the chairs to the refrigerator to the carpet, was extremely old and needed to be replaced.

We got there, checked in. It didn’t look like the property we saw on Expedia. We got to our room. Went out for supper across the street. Came back to find the bathroom had water all over the floor. We tried to use the phone in the room, it didn’t work. So I walked up and reported what happened. The owner came and looked, bought old worn out towels, put them on the floor. She then proceeded to go upstairs the room above us. She couldn’t find anything. Another hour goes by, went into the bathroom water was still leaking from the ceiling. It looked like it was ready to collapse. In the meantime the upstairs room sounded like a lot of people and children, the children running around. When the owner came back to check the leak we complained about the noise upstairs. She said she would talk with them. Nothing changed she gave us her cell phone number to call if there was more problems. We called again the noise was still going on. She said she would have them move to another room. They didn’t move. We called again at 9:30 pm with the noise and the water dripping. She said she could move us to another room, really! She didn’t offer when we first found the leak around 5:00. We are in our late 70’s and never complain. The noise continued all night. I called her the next day and told her the noise continued all night long. She said she couldn’t help that. I hanged up. I know some people were living there and not renting. I would not recommend this place to stay.

The condition of my lodging was poor. The rugs were filthy and the walls were is disrepair. The stair railing was loose. There was only a light bedspread without a banket. The pillows were flat.

I had the worst experience at this hotel, and I strongly urge others to stay away! 1. Bed Bugs Infestation: next day we woke up covered in itchy, painful bites all over the arms. This is a serious health risk, and management is clearly not addressing the issue. 2. Mold and Filth Everywhere: The room phone was caked in grime and even had mold—disgusting! If basic things like phones aren’t cleaned, imagine how bad the rest of the room is! 3. Furniture Falling Apart: The chairs and couches in the lobby are stained, torn, and filthy. The place looks like it hasn’t been deep cleaned in years. This hotel is a hazard to your health and absolutely not worth the risk. Avoid at all costs! Management should be ashamed of the state of this place. I will be reporting this to the health department.

Bed was of the cheapest quality. Some full time residents with both trash and toys strewn about in front of rooms. People hanging in front of rooms. Men repairing cars in front of rooms. IT’S A DUMP!!!

Strench in hallway that could only be removed by ripping up carpet and repainting walls. Plaster repairs made in room, but left white unpainted 4” areas on walls of room. Arms of upholstered chairs severely shredded by (most likely) cat. Pretty dismal

This hotel redefined for me what I previously thought was possible for a one star hotel. The level of filth was frankly shocking. Everything was rundown, dank, dirty, broken, cracked, smelled bad. I wanted to leave the moment I walked in. I don’t consider myself overly sensitive and I’ve stayed in lots of cheap hotels but this was jaw droppingly disgusting. I wish I had never set foot in that place.

This was the worst room we have Ever had. Had to remove bugs (I think they were cockroaches). Smells bad, carpet & walls and furniture dirty and in need of repair. Floors dirty in the corners and near the walls. Wall paper stapled at seams. Holes in the wall patched but not painted. Moldy and falling apart ceiling. Had a large puddle of water under the bed and AC when we woke up in the morning. I wouldn’t expect such a bad room for the price we paid. I wouldn’t stay here at Any price.

The vending machine was outdated and appeared neglected, with a half-empty bottle of water placed back inside. In the room, the toilet didn't flush properly, and there was noticeable mold on the bathroom walls. The main room walls were poorly maintained, with mismatched paint patches covering old damage. Nothing felt truly clean, and the air conditioner emitted a foul odor, making our stay uncomfortable and unsanitary. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Absolutely horrible experience!! I had a pest control technician knocking at my door at 7:30 AM. With a spray can asking if there was roaches in my room, come to find out.There was cockroaches crawling on the floor of the hotel. It was an absolute infestation. They offered to give me a different room. But where there's one, there's a million there's people living on site full time, absolutely horrible experience highly recommend you stay far away from this hotel!!!

We left and found another place instead of staying. The pictures were incredibly misleading, and this was a bait and switch of a hotel. I've stayed in countless roadside motels and dont care about amenities so long as i have a safe, cleanish place to stay. This wasnt even hourly motel quality.

We stayed one night the first room we checked into smelled of moth balls so strong that it burnt our throats. The only room available was a king we made due. The bathroom shower was black, the sheets had crumbs the love seat looked like it had surgery and to top it off there was a fake eyelash stuck to the wall next to the nightstand

The woman at the reception was extraordinary friendly and helpful.

We checked in and left immediately for a concert 2 miles away. Came back after the concert and the door opened without the key card. Upon inspection the lock was drilled out. Deadbolt didn’t work. There were two cigarette butts on the windowsill, squished out with ashes. The interior room was absolutely disgusting and human bodily fluids were a parent on the bedspread. The windows would not shut completely completely or lock. The room was filthy and disgusting. we called the front desk and they give us a different room. This room was even worse. We went to the front desk to get a refund and leave as we were not safe with the door not even locking, plus it appears that they are renting most of their rooms to the homeless community because they were all outside, smoking and drinking. They couldn’t give me a refund until the room was checked the next day. They said that because the room was utilized for four hours (while we were not there and at the concert), we would not be getting a refund. I called Hotels.com guest services and they were no help either and said I would have to get the refund from the hotel and not them. This room literally looked nothing like the pictures and it was completely unsafe. I hold Hotels.com responsible for renting places in this condition with fake advertising pictures for their customers and then supporting customers in a situation like this. I will be contacting Better Business Bureau for both hotels.com and the hotel.

Horrible experience, went out for the day and came back to find our room door open. Tub was overflowing with water when we showered. There was a crack in the sink and weed smell all around.

Coming in from out of town; the pictures really sell the place. It was sketchy from go. My husbands phone said “permanently closed”. Drove in to see obvious tenants going from 1 from to the next. Out back where we were to stay was decent and some what hidden. But once we got into the room it was a disaster. Dirty, dingy, odors and worn out and stained furniture. NO place for a small family. After deciding we weren't comfortable staying we left the building to find 2 police cars and an ambulance; parked where we saw the residents. All pointing to get the hell outta here. The gentleman who checked me in was very friendly and understanding. He explained what I needed to do to get refunded and once I was actually able to make contact by chat with Expedia; not an easy feat it turns out, the refund was processed quickly. No complaints with personnel at all!

It was very stripped down. No carpeting, metal box frame under the bed. The dresser drawer had been ripped part and poorly put back together. The exterior door to the hotel did not latch. The door to the room had a good 3/4 inch gap between the door and the frame. The door had a large sign that stated"Bolt the door for your own protection."

Arrived at 9:45pm, (check in is 4pm) to be told my room was not ready and to come back. No restaurants around at all. Bad smell in the hallways.

Almost across the road from SUNY Albany Health Sci campus. Otherwise in the middle of nowhere. Closest place to Rensselaer Amtrak, but 35 min walk is too long for most. Decent condition overall. Efficient desk. Plenty of parking. Quiet.

Easy to find. No kindess from the receptionnist. Not clean in public corridor. Accommodation was basic. The AC was noisy. We have to ask for two missing towels. Well located, close to Albany's downtone and commercial area. Correct for one night

The wall was dirty, the beds was ok but the room needs renovation.

The place look decent but the hall way looked dirty and had a strange smell. Some of the electrical outlets did not work. Curtains barely covered the light. Hair dryer did not work.

There were sheer curtains on the window with only narrow side panels which did not close. I was uncomfortable regarding privacy, so I used a clip to hold the side panels together and partially block the view. Also, because the drapes did not close we were awake at first light. Bedding and bathroom were clean.

There were people living on the property. Very weird crackhead looking people. Wouldn’t stop staring at my car whenever I pulled in. Didn’t feel safe there.

Like the review above me noted the smell was overwhelming. I just used it as a place to sleep for a few hours but even that was too long. My clothes still reek 2 days later from being there for 8 hours.

We ended up leaving for a different location about 30 min after arriving. The entire building had a horrible smell (think musty grandparent smell). Mini fridge was so loud it shook the furniture around it. Bed felt like an old metal cot with an even older mattress. The whole front section of the property is for long term residents. The building we were in was in the back corner. The fence that ran along the property line had sections kicked out making it easy for someone to approach from the back.

The owner was courteous. There was a certain odor the minute you walked into the hall. It lingered on my clothes. The walls in the room were filthy. The bed cover was a CURTAIN! Gold curtains on the double beds.

Hairdryer nonfunctional. Only tried on my checkout day so again, not worth mentioning to staff. Website said breakfast included. Needs to be updated. Staff very pleasant, friendly, helpful.

Price was the only good thing

When I got back from the show, there were 2 police cars and an ambulance (this was in the middle of the week). I had to ask the police if I was able to proceed to my room. The next day there was a commotion which appeared to be a heated argument between two residents. Two police cars showed up, and they had a tazer on one of the residents. As i was leaving, three more police vehicles rushed in. So not stay here, despite the convenient location.

Good except transportation.

Our room is in need of some serious attention. The only good thing was that it was spacious and our sheets seemed to be clean. The rest was kind of gross. The two chairs in the room for sitting in front of the TV were stained with so many different things, I couldn’t believe a business would allow them to remain. Same goes for the office chair. The walls were all stained up and chipping. The shower never did get hot and the shower handle all but ripped out of the wall when turning on. Although I still can’t wrap my head around how a business can operate like this…I guess you get what you pay for?

Hotels.com you should verify these Inn before you sale their rooms.

Horrific - non-smoking room stunk, stunk, stunk. Bed did not have a blanket (it's winter in Albany) - just 2 thin sheets, super noisy because the walls are paper-thin. Receptionist insisted i pay $15 pet fee (no fee is stated on expedia) and wanted cash, which i'm sure she pocketed. Go someplace else.

Just spend the extra money and go somewhere you can be comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet but it appears people live in the hotel as you can see the same faces doing daily life errands. Shades held with duct tape, dirty sheets. Charged us $75 deposit and were told cannot smoke in the room, yet proceeded to give us a room that smelled like 10 boxes of cigarettes. Just not a pleasant experience. A shame

The only thing that was clean was the bed. The floors and bathroom were disgusting. There were people in and out all night with dogs. People smoking weed in the building that we were told this was a no smoking building.

Will tell you to check with YOUR bank when the 5-10 business days are up even though they never sent it back! Kids running all over screaming and yelling in the hallways and early in the morning! Went to continental breakfast and was stared at like I didnt stay there and then asked my room # and name rudely. Room door didnt lock, and the 1st time entering barely opened due to broken swing piece at top of door. Floors were not clean, so dont walk barefoot. 3 flat pillows on the king size bed. Definately wont pay for this place again! Scammers!

This place is terrible. There are people living there. They upgraded us to a different room because we aren’t smokers. We had to wait for them clean the new room, which was not clean at all. The floor was filthy, things were broken, tattered and torn. The sink was dirty just under the countertop. The air conditioner was loud, a light turned on and off all night, and the toilet ran periodically all night long. The hallway was filthy and smelled terrible.

This is the worst hotel. Dirty a bunch of kids running around. Theres a truck with a flat tire thats not plated and looks like its been sitting there for months. Thats just 1 truck. There are 2 other cars there also that are off the road and should be brought to the junkyard. Not to mention, I reserved a non smoking room .onths in advance. When I got there there was only a smoking room available so they set us up with that until 6 hiurs later when they can switch me in the original room I reserved. We couldnt stay in the smoking room because it smelled so bad we couldnt breathe. Lastly, we rent the room for our Bridesmaid to get ready for our wedding and couldnt leave the gowns in that room or they wouldve smelled like the room. You wouldve figured they wouldve comped us something but nope. I do not recommend this hotel. Disgusting and owners are very rude

The hotel room smelled like stale cigarettes, they had turned off the water to the bathtub in the room. The linens were stained and even at 2AM there was noise coming from adjoining rooms. I left and got a different hotel.

I did not enjoy the pitbull dog chained in the lobby when I arrived. The next person behind me stayed at the door while I was at the counter and also agreed that the desk clerk doing this wasn't a good thing to do. I am not a dog person, but that is my problem. I'll never choose this location again. I made a comment, the clerk didn't care.

A continental breakfast of coffee, cereal, some carbs (muffins) and fresh fruit was included and available in the front office. The staff was friendly.

Its really a Motel where people even live there. Rugs were disgusting. Bathroom toilet didn’t work properly, shower wall broken. Pillows very old. Comforter not comfortable. It looks like a guetto area. No where clise to eat clean food.

I own my own biz, so I'm a budget traveler. This hotel looks great on the outside, and the staff is efficient. But they have long term people staying at the property (people that can't afford monthly rent), so its a bit sketchy. Also, the interior of the room and linens are really rough. For the price, its ok, but don't stay here with your family.

In area for basketball game in Albany. Booked hotel online. Location of the hotel was in a questionable area. Rooms were kind of old and smelled. A few strange people hanging out in the parking lot and hallway. The coffee maker was in the bathroom! Don’t think I would return.

Nice stay

The staff at this property were really nice, and check in/out was super easy. I would not, however, recommend staying here. I stayed in a room that smelled like cigarette smoke despite the whole building being labelled as non-smoking (I now have to wash all of the clothes I brought with me), there were huge chips in the paint, obvious replastering of the ceiling, dust on the ceiling, hair in the bed, the thinnest blanket of all time, no Kleenexes, no garbage bins, there were stains on the walls, no hot water in the sink, the shower produced water from the tap and shower head simultaneously, there was a huge brown stain on one of the towels, and the safety lock on the door was broken.

My refrigerator leaked. There was no hangers and no iron. The bathroom was dirty. The comp breakfast was disappointing.

It was ok... a lot if garbage around facility. Price was enticing though, especially for last minute.
