Location The room was dirty, and the bathroom was full of hairs. The sink was clogged. I purchased a charcuterie meal for $20 and the crackers were old and fluffy.

Will stay here more often!!!

BAD: Hair on bathroom sink counter. Dirty smeary glasses in bathroom we did not even want to use. Please do better for other guests bathroom cleanliness.
- 5/5
We loved this property, it’s one of our new favorites. Nicki and the crew at the restaurant were especially accommodating and gracious. We will be back. Try one of the suites on the ninth floor, totally worth the money.
- 4/5
Good hotel, $20 to self park? And not a great experience in the restaurant!

- 5/5
Room was clean had everything we needed except for when there’s a coffee pot you would think they would leave you some water? There’s lots of places to sit. The restaurant looked good although we didn’t eat there but we did go to the coffee shop great location, and great parking.

Quiet, clean room. Breakfast was excellent.

Room felt old, lights did not work; door frame and door did not hinge correctly, so it didn’t close properly until pushed hard to shut; shower was not powerful; our window was frosted and didn’t allow us to see out; we could hear people talking easily through the hallway, and doors opening and shutting; hotel was extremely overpriced for a less than adequate stay

This is a wonderful hotel! Excellent service, room was immaculate, stylish and excellent linens and amenities, the restaurant is stylish and good breakfast with a view of the river, I used the Valet service which was spot on, would definitely stay there again.

The Hotel staff was very hospitable. We had a very warm welcome. Were also offered Champagne and Cake since it was our anniversary.
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Bed very comfortable with bright white sheets. Restaurant downstairs has glass fireplaces around the whole patio above the river, which creates amazingly cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Staff added a feeling of warmth and welcoming to overall atmosphere.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel. Good location.
- 5/5
I loved this hotel! From beginning to end it was such a pleasant experience. The staff was amazing, the conditions of the property is top notch, the location was perfect and the food at the restaurant was something we still dream about. It was so delicious without being pretentious.
- 3/5
It’s a pretty basic hotel but nice enough. I was allocated a room with a view of the rooftop and the entire buildings AC units which run all night. Nice surprise one morning to have a man on the roof looking straight into the room. William on the front desk has a real attitude problem for some reason. Valet service was great. Restaurant staff v nice. Housekeeping just ok.
- 5/5
The property was conveniently located. Service was great. The valet service was well run and reasonably priced. The facility was pleasant. Overall, my stay was quite comfortable.
- 2.5/5
Noise from gym heard in our room all day long
- 5/5
This was my second stay at this hotel. It was clean and comfortable and has a fun bar/bocce ball place downstairs. The on-site restaurant has delicious breakfast!
- 3/5
Should be free parking
- 4/5
The location is good. Everything was reopened, but we only stayed one night. You can valet or park but they didn’t tell me that there was a parking fee when I checked in of $20 per night. I got some ticket paid it and it charged me for two nights which is absurd.

The bathroom was all out of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I let the staff know, and they compensated with not charging for parking.

The hotel is nice, but the surrounding area is not very safe or clean. The common areas in the hotel are very well kept except for the pool area. It is in need of a major refresh. Our room is also in need of a refresh, especially the bathroom. The shower knobs did not work well, and the water pressure was almost nonexistent on the regular shower head. Streaming services did not work on the TV. Maintenance came to fix it, but we continued to have the same problem. We had excellent service at the bar. All the bartenders were super friendly and made delicious drinks. The food in the restaurant was tasty also.
- 5/5
Great staff and Hotel
- 3/5
It was alright for a one night stay but I’m just very glad I had Expedia points for a bit of a discount on the price for the night. The original price does not seem worth it for the room we stayed in. It was very small and not super functional for a multiple night stay. No where to really put any of your items, limited counter space in the room. The bathroom faucet was spraying all over the counter. Just seemed like they were trying to be “ aesthetic” when designing the room. Not sure if I would stay again..
- 5/5
Good location downtown
- 5/5
Great place to stay in Reno.
- 1/5
Was locked out of my room for an hour
- 5/5
Every interaction with staff members was excellent. Every employee was very helpful. We had adjoining rooms with one being a suite, and it was perfect. The restaurant was convenient with excellent outdoor dining. During our stay, the hotel was busy with a wedding and other parties, but besides seeing the people in the lobby, we would have never known there were such big events going on. The elevator was fast and we never had to wait long. The floors and rooms were quiet and clean.
- 2/5
$300+ a night and no free internet. I will never st there again.
- 5/5
Thank!
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly. The room was large and well appointed. The bed was so comfortable. We will stay here again.
- 3/5
The room was too small for the price. They didn’t even have a bottle of water in the room for us.
- 5/5
The staff at the Renaissance are consistently kind, helpful and conscientious.
- 3/5
Our rooms were dirty when we walked into them had to go back down to the front desk to get new rooms, had asked for connecting rooms but were instead given rooms very far apart
- 3/5
Pet friendly
- 5/5
I lake all the service and how clean it is.
- 5/5
The hotel staff were very chill, bar was fun.
- 5/5
Was there for a business event and was very happy with the property and its dinning and entertainment options.
- 4/5
I stay here every other week (3-4 nights a month) so while this might sound silly, my core complaint is the coffee machines in the room. No respectable hotel has coffee machines that require guests to run boiling water through single use PET plastic - a known carcinogen and totally gross to essentially get a single use plastic with coffee grains to a near melting temperature. Every other hotel above $250/night has moved to the small nespresso machines that use aluminum pods. I seriously might stop staying here due to this - I'm here for business frequently, wake up needing coffee in my room to start on emails/shower before work and this is a big deterrent. Otherwise, it's a good location, rooms are clean and staff is lovely. This is just one of the more notable things that should be addressed by a high-end hotel.
- 5/5
Pictures don’t do the hotel justice. The spa amazing. The staff friendly and knowledgeable of the area, very helpful.
- 5/5
Best in class customer service. Beautiful accommodations - well appointed room, spectacular restaurant and perfect river front location.
- 1/5
When we checked out one of staff members were not nice and not welcoming. They didn't even smile or ask us about our stay. They questioned a for request email thinking it was coming from me. We felt we were treated as if we re criminals. Not coming back here again.
- 5/5
My favorite place to stay in Reno for sure.
- 3/5
Front desk staff, however, were great Restaurant was above average; somewhat limited menu, but what was on there was very good
- 4/5
Checking in was great as we arrived early and they accommodated us immediately. Rooms were nice, but small. Dining in hotel was good, but didn't like the area around the hotel. Didn't seem safe. Parking not included in stay.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the pet friendly stay at Renaissance. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The spa is welcoming and relaxing. We enjoyed the Shore Bar and the patio by the river.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
We had the BEST stay here. We got an amazing upgrade. Corner room with magnificent views. Every single staff member was professional and kind. The restaurant is really good. You can sit inside or outside with a front row river view. The fresh brioche bread with avocado or made as French Toast was a favorite. If you need to be in that area of Reno, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
- 4/5
Great place to stay. Hotel can be a bit loud based on traffic noise, air conditioner, and other guests. The staff was amazing, the facility was clean and up to date. Only suggestion is to upgrade pool area, looks the same as 8 years ago when I last visited.
- 5/5
Everything was good. We had a nice stay
- 5/5
Great clean and safe hotel. Classy place to stay in Reno
- 3/5
We were also supposed to get a tshirt and we were asked what size shirt we wanted on Friday when we confirmed our appointment. However when we checked out they did it have our sizes for shirts! Why bother asking then? We ended up with tote bags instead. We confirmed our appointment 3 times too-By email, text and call- excessive and annoying. I understand if we didn’t reply but we replied each time!! Then we I tried checking out after our spa appointment the credit card machine wasn’t working after resetting the system 2 times the attendant ended up charging my card manually. Very time consuming as we were had dinner reservations we were trying to get too.
- 2/5
The hotel property was kept very nice. We weren't to keen on not having covered parking. We were also very displeased with the fact that we paid over $300 for 1 night yet had to also pay $19.50 for parking per 24 hrs and Wi-Fi was not included and we would have had to pay (which we certainly did not). We were on the 5th floor. There was one ice machine and one drink vending machine. The vending machine was complety empty. Not one choice was available. The day we were there the weather was in the 90's. We choose to try out the restaurant in the hotel. They had huge sliding doors open to the seating outside. We sat down at our table and quickly realized that it had to have been in the 80°s for inside dining. I used my menu as a fan the entire time we were seated. It was so hot and uncomfortable. We rushed to eat, just to get out of that restaurant. For the price we paid for a one night stay, we certainly figured it would had been more enjoyable. We won't be referring this hotel to anyone we know.
- 5/5
I didn’t like that there was no transportation to and from the airport.
- 2/5
The shower handheld attachment didn't work and the AC smelled foul, like urine. It was most unpleasant.
- 3/5
I was disappointed in this hotel. The rooms were dark and it was not as clean as I would expect from a higher end Marriott. The location is not super safe to walk around at night. But the beds were comfortable and the common areas were good.
- 5/5
Clean
- 2/5
Room was not very clean, and was very used. Hotel could use an upgrade.
- 5/5
Good hotel
- 4/5
We were there for a funeral!
- 5/5
I loved this hotel. I thought the desk clerk was most helpful. He helped me get an uber driver several times, and called a cab company for me. He is?most helpful and knows how to treat tgw?guests. He was on working today, Tuesday, at 12:00 Noon, check out time. He also checked me in on February 29th at around 9:00PM at night. The server's, and day and night manager's at the Shore restaurant are wonderful and gracious. Ruby, my spa attendant, at Refuge Spa gave me a Hot Stone Massage that was excellent. I will definately co e back, and stay at the Renaissance, and will recommend it to other's.
- 5/5
Beautiful property right on the river. They have a really nice lounge where we had the best smoked old-fashioned we’ve ever had. They have a couple of dining options, one has bocce lanes and an arcade, which was super fun with our college kids. It’s downtown, so the surrounding area is a bit unsavory, but the valet personnel keep the riff raff out. All in all we were very happy with the hotel.
- 4/5
Very nice upgraded room.
- 5/5
Trevor at the front desk and Ian at Valet Service were both super friendly and helpful!! The Shore restaurant was outstanding!!
- 5/5
Staff were amazing! Easy to enter property and on site parking. Wish the parking lot was covered, but it was on property so convenient. Decor is modern and lovely with an up scale feel. Room was really nice. Restaurant and bar area was great. Stag were so friendly and food was excellent. Will definitely stay again.
- 3/5
Well good overall but just lacking customer service at the cost levels of this hotel.
- 4/5
Located in downtown Reno close to the City Building, the Pioneer Center, and overlooking the Truckee River, if you want a non-casino downtown stay, this location is good. They have a good restaurant, a huge, very cool arcade/bocce ball/pool tables/game room for all ages. Staff is super friendly! Bed was pretty comfy, just decor was going for posh angler and it was executed well, but rooms are really dark, and carpet was fraying and ripped in a few places. Just needs a little baby facelift.
- 5/5
Excellent Stay! Staff Was Amazing!
- 5/5
Most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Also great shower.
- 5/5
Beautiful property that is well maintained and walking distance to many restaurants
- 3/5
Amenities listed are wrong. I had no bottled water in my room, no room service menu, no alarm clock and no coffee/tea set up.
- 3/5
Drab, dark and spartan. there was nothing inviting about any of the spaces. (OK, the restaurant wasn't too bad.) the main lobby looks like an old subway terminal, and the rooms look like someone with $75 tried to spruce up a high-end prison ward. there was nothing comfortable or relaxing about any of it. The staff were generally polite and friendly, but even that seemed forced (possibly the environment?). Was the designer trying to channel Terry Gilliam's "Brazil"?
- 5/5
I love the cleanliness and the smell! Very clean and staff are very approachable. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
Johnathan was very accommodating and understanding when we needed switch out our room and took care of us immediately. I highly recommend a ninth floor corner suite. Ginger at the spa was also fabulous in getting us booked for our services at the spa when we came in last minute. We had a wonderful stay, definitely will be back.
- 4/5
Cleanliness of the property
- 5/5
loved the hotel, the staff was very pleasant and provided excellent service. Our room was great.
- 2/5
We didn’t like the room given to us. It was overlooking industrial AC units which were noisy in the night. The suite was gloomy with limited lights and seating area was not well organized / not comfortable. Restaurants on property had very limited vegetarian options and restrictive timings. Not much activity to do at the property.
- 5/5
Room and hotel very clean Food was great. And dog friendly! It made our stay just a little less stressful not having to worry about our dog at home. Definitley comming back!! Tom and Suzannah
- 5/5
Staff extremely responsive to all needs
- 5/5
Great location. Very close to Truckee River Walk, Spa was awesome. Bocce place connected to the hotel offered a lot to do for teens and adults.
- 5/5
We like hotel
- 4/5
A nice enough hotel but for the price, they could have at least made sure there was conditioner in the bottle in the shower.
- 5/5
Second time staying here. Bar was nice as was the restaurant. Game area was very fun also
- 5/5
Perfect location
- 5/5
Love the location, nice hotel would stay again. We had a suite and the lack of furniture was strange. need a comfortable chair plus a couch
- 5/5
Great property, rooms and helpful staff.
- 3/5
Walls have strange thumping noises…loud throughout the night. Small beds instead of queens.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, staff is great and helpful, safe since I am a female and travel alone for business. Parking is on the same property and close, parking is monitored all the time. I don't stay anywhere else in Reno. Close to the freeway.
- 4/5
Love staying here while in the Reno area. Great bar and bartenders are amazing. Wish i could say the same for the food. Disappointed with menu and quality of food. But the buttercake dessert was very good.
- 5/5
Great hotel!
- 4/5
We really like this hotel. It is nice and comfortable, the staff is accommodating and there is lots to do in the hotel and close by. We did need more towels😊
- 5/5
The property is gorgeous and the staff were very nice. Dog friendly property which was great and the restaurant on the river is AMAZING! If you go as women alone or a group of women please be careful walking in the neighborhood around the property at night.
- 3/5
Overall the location was great and the staff were friendly. But for paying $325 for a basic room I think it was way overpriced for what it was. We ended up getting the breakfast for 2 during checkout which was $35. We were very disappointed in the breakfast. It was a basic continental (which many hotels would offer for free) the waffles, sausage and potatoes were so hard from being over cooked and left in the warmer-they were not even edible. The hotel was just ok. The bathroom door was just a slider and didn’t even lock which we thought was very odd. We ate dinner at the restaurant and I had an overpriced warm Cesar salad which there was a large piece of lettuce I couldn’t even eat because it was the end of the Romain and very hard. I did mention this to them and they took it off of our tab which was nice. I don’t think we will stay here again unfortunately.
- 4/5
Great staff, clean rooms with plenty of space. Will definitely come again.
- 5/5
We will definitely stay again! Great friendly staff and super dog friendly for our pups.
- 5/5
QUIET AND RELAXING EVEN THOUGH WE WERE IN DOWNTOWN
- 5/5
Everything was amazing
- 5/5
Checkin was smooth & fast with very friendly staff. Our comfy room was clean, uniquely decorated with an unobstructed view of Reno & the mountains. Cool game/bocce ball room & bar. And of course great location along the Truckee River.
- 3/5
No toilet paper, placed us on a floor w an entire baseball team, and we didn’t get the upgraded room w view we requested.
- 5/5
Restaurant on site is super cute
- 5/5
This is the only place I stay when visiting Reno. Had an issue the first night with my room but Ben took care of it the next day. See ya next time, thanks!
- 4/5
Nice room. Clean hotel with good restaurant. Surrounding area a little sketchy.
- 4/5
Nice hotel with excellent staff
- 2/5
I booked a suite room, but I couldn’t have slippers and the fridge was empty. I asked the front desk if I can have two slippers and some bottles of water, but they told me they don’t have any slippers and asked me want some drinks from the restaurants. I paid almost $400 for my room, but they told me I have to pay more to get some bottles of water. And I booked this room because of the bathroom. I saw the great bath tub on the website so I was really excited about it; however, the bath tub was not working right. And the floor was made of marble, so it is too cold to walk. When I go in to the room first, it looked really good, but amenities are not enough for a suite room. I will never come back.
- 5/5
The best hotel to stay at in Reno !
- 5/5
Disappointed that they did not offer WIFI at no fee
- 5/5
super clean, guys at the front desk are great, cleaning staff is always checking up on the room, love the arcade and restaurant. valet was pricey but love the attention to details and fast service
- 3/5
Room was tiny for the $$, the heater/ac was tornado loud nonstop, the door lock stopped working & the bathroom door was too hip for a latch.
- 5/5
I enjoyed the river view, food, and service at the hotel. Will stay here again when in Reno.
- 5/5
Nice clean, and not too far a walk from the Casinos and restaurants
- 2/5
The young lady at the bar apparently was not having a great night, until the next day we visited the bar and possibly she was having a and weekend. We were on there for 3 night for see some concerts but I know I would not book that location again.
- 3/5
Clean, nice property with great staff. Reno is just a dump - between the homeless, drunks, and mentally ill people all around the downtown/approaching midtown areas felt incredibly uncomfortable leaving the property on foot.
- 4/5
We ate there twice and the food was excellent, good servers. We had a partial view. Expected more for Three hundred plus per. The room was nice, but the bathroom door almost took my finger off.
