J Resort

This is our 2nd time coming to Reno, before heading to Lake Tahoe. J Resort is a great place for a 2 night stay for a little gambling and a show. Starting with the room, we stayed at Cedar tower. The room was clean and large. We were on the 10th floor with a city view which was great a night. We had cappucinos at their Cafe which serves Statvucks. The coffee was good and saved us from having to go out.They also have a nice happy hour menu with $3 dollar beers. My only complaint is that our room key (that opened our room) would not work in the elevator. The staff made multiple attempts to make new keys but none worked. Eventually that evening they offered us a new room and comp'd us the first night resort fee. We declined their offer and stayed in the same room since we were able find an elevator that did not require a passkey. This is 5 star review but labeled it 4 stars since some people look at mostly 3 and 4 star reviews like me :)

Excellent hotel, great amenities and really friendly staff

For being a casino, you did not feel like it when you were in the rooms. Seemed pretty newly remodeled and was quite nice.

Clean hotel

The J Resort was a wonderful 1 night vacation. Rooms were nice, most of the staff was friendly and helpful. Had a wonderful prime rib dinner at Hannah's and wait staff was great.

We had a room at the very end of the birch tower (no big deal) long walk from the elevators. But the room Nextdoor were very rude- talking loudly all night and also fornicating like they were filming a porn. Absolutely ridiculous!! Verrry tired today & looking forward to getting extra sleep before work tomorrow.

People use their public WiFi to steal other people’s info

Hotel room very nice! My only complaint is the pillows are too firm and I personally like a flatter pillow, but that’s just me. Everything else was great!

Walked in and the bed we were originally going to sleep on had hairs in it, there was a significant amount of dust in the nightstand and the stand, definitely could’ve been cleaner

We didn't get breakfast and it wasn't offered. I was even looking for even free coffee or continental. There was nothing. However, the staff was exceptional. The valet, the bellhops, and the check-in team were awesome and amazing. They made our stay awesome.

Pool closed at 9:00, which seems too early. All else was good.

The casino area was very lacking. No live craps only electronic. The buffet was very underwhelming. Other than that, great resort.

Love the proximity of this location, literally only 2 blocks from Virginia Street and the RiverWalk. Hannah's restaurant was delicious for breakfast, pass on food at the Express counter just outside though! Rooms were great, getting to the pool was interesting having to walk out the casino entrance and across a small section of parking lot, but still enjoyable. Overall, Id definitely stay here again because it offered great value.

I adore Heather (Hotel Manager) Donna, and the front desk staff! They’re always the best, super helpful, provide great customer service, etc! I love the suite with the soaking tub! Love J Paul’s steakhouse! -So good! Will definitely be back! Great location!

Clean room

This hotel is a hidden gem. It’s new, modern, and close to walk to downtown or the river walk. The buffet was ok. Hanna’s Table was good and the staff were great. Hanna’s Express staff are super rude.

Too many things to list that need improvement...terrible bed, malfuntioning smoke alarm in the middle of the night. Old slots that do not pay out. No beverage machines on gaming floor. Shower door does not seal; water poured out onto floor. Best thing were the girls at the starbucks; friendly, super helpful, great drinks.

Room was clean, modern and new

Natalie at the registration desk was amazing. I was observing her register guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Jessica helped me, it took her twice as long to register people and did not provide all the information that Natalie was proving to other guests.

My wife & I go to Reno once or twice monthly. This is the first time we have stayed a J Resort. What a pleasant experience. Rooms and surroundings were exceptionally clean and convenient. Staff & helpers were very sensitive to guests needs. Value for the rooms were the best we have seen in Reno for many years. What a great time we had and we will definitely look forward to spending many more visits to the J Resort!!

day ago on G Google Overall I might come back room I stayed at the cedar Tower Skyline Suite and my room was okay looking at it but when you really get to looking at it it was dirty couch had a stain the bar stools were dirty side of my nightstand look like somebody threw up and it just didn't get cleaned up countertops had spills on them that were not clean and the ice bucket was very dirty and gritty my phone could not connect to the TV at all and I'm pretty tech savvy it showed me that it wasn't on me something was wrong in that room because my wife's phone connected to the living room TV but the bedroom TV cannot get it to connect now on the other hand Hannah's table was wonderful little overpriced but quality of food was worth it the casino floor atmosphere was perfect location perfect

I like to remodel rooms that are very clean. The beds were very comfortable and my son had a great time in the casino. Everything seemed pretty good. I really didn’t see anything I didn’t like.

The property appeared to be very nice and clean when I first arrived but first appearances can be deceiving. I got to my room and it was dusty, we're talking able to doodle on the furniture dusty. Then when it was time for bed, there was a blood stain along with hair on the sheet! Ewe! The manager on duty wanted me to change the sheets and was only willing to waive the first night fee of the 30 dollar resort fees! Plus the restaurant Hannah's table manager and server were rude! It was overall a nightmare of an experience!

We liked it. Good place to stay.

Parking was great, check-in easy, food at Hannah's Table great. Wish there was printed materials in room about all the hotel amenities and any surrounding attractions instead of having to see everything online. We are older travelers and don't use our phones for much more than calling. If need to stay in Reno again in the future would stay here again.

The room was very nice. The gift store was always closed. Restaruant and bar staff seemed very unorganized and consequently service was spotty. Pool area not inviting and in need of updating.

The place was great. I wasn’t thrilled about staying at a casino (I had some really crappy rooms) but the rooms are all non smoking and whole hotel was spotless. It was a quick overnight stay so I didn’t have time to use the hotel’s amenities. My room was huge and really well furnished.

The staff was exceptional, from the front desk service to the cleaning service, loved having the bathroom and a half in the suite. The suites should have microwaves!

Came to J resort for my birthday with my hubby,and we always.stay here. Staff was helpful and nice. We did have issue with the tv in the room, and the lady ay front desk was very helpful and gave us a different room. I will always come back and stay here at j resort again.

The cold water line was actually hot, as was the hot water line. No cool, or cold water available.

My wife and I found this to be a good stay. Friendly staff were helpful and attentive. Also, shuttle service was excellent. Did not use the restaurants, but I saw the menus. The prices seemed a little on the high side. We walked a short distance to an awesome sushi restaurant though. (Itsavy Sushi)

Clean room and great staff.

Unfortunately, the hotel itself was the only standout. The casino lacked energy, had almost no drink service, and the bar experience was disappointing; despite only two bars on the property, we received no acknowledgment, greeting, or service from the bartender. The property is within walking distance of other hotels, bars, and restaurants, and we would return to stay because the hotel portion offers strong value, cleanliness, peace, and quiet. Even the tower hallways feel luxurious and spacious. However, it’s not a place we would choose to eat, drink, or play.

Always the best value in Reno. I stay here every time I come to Reno for work. Rooms are clean, recently renovated, and the location and free parking are a huge plus.

The first issue was the customer service. The front desk staff was rude during check-in, and I experienced a similar attitude from employees throughout my stay. After returning from running errands, I sat down at a machine for a few minutes before heading to my room. I had a small case of alcoholic beverages with me, which I had just purchased. Security approached me and immediately questioned whether I was staying at the hotel. After I confirmed that I was a guest, I was told I needed to go to my room. The interaction felt unnecessary and made me feel as though I was being treated like a problem rather than a paying guest. What I found particularly ironic was that while security was focused on me, a cocktail waitress nearby was speaking loudly and using profanity without any apparent concern. The property's condition has also noticeably declined. The carpets looked stained and dirty, and the casino had a strong cigarette odor that actually burned my eyes and irritated my sinuses. In addition, the smell of marijuana in the hotel hallways and rooms was overwhelming at times. Overall, this stay was a significant disappointment compared to my previous visits. Between the rude staff, uncomfortable atmosphere, and declining cleanliness, I will not be staying at J Resort again.

Room cleaning was not on included. We had to request for the cleaning. This includes not even changing the bed mattress sheet or blankets.

J Resort is the best in customer service, overall cleanliness, and safety! Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and fullfill my needs with a fridge, dressers, and a desk. J Resort is by far the very best! Prices are reasonable. We won't stay anywhere else!

Very pleasant stay at J Resort Reno. The room was spacious, very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the overall environment was relaxing after a long day of travel. The staff were friendly, and the location was convenient as well. I had a good experience staying here and would happily stay again in the future.

Overall room was clean. Shower kind of sucks. Typical for Nevada. Minimal parking. I almost couldn’t find a spot. Overall, I would stay again.

Daughter told us to stay at the Peppermill since it was our 42 wedding anniversary, The room was 3 times what the J charged so we went with the J Resort, Great call! At check in I mentioned to Vince that it was our anniversary. When we got to our room he had upgraded us to a suite. 1/3 the cost at 3 times the room! I actually gambled because I didn't care losing a little money. Thank you Vince and J Resort! My wife told me she couldn't imagine having a better anniversary!

Pretty big rip. I paid through Expedia. Had to pay $100 extra when I got there non refundable “resort fee”. Yeah that ain’t it you can’t have a pool, and be called a resort cause of it no sir. Should’ve stayed else where for less. Rooms were dope though.

The room was clean but we couldn't sleep at all because of the noise from the elevator. We complained and they moved us to another room, but it still had loud elevator noise. They must have known about the issue. I can't believe they would put guests in rooms like that.

We stay a few days and like that there is a fridge and lots of space to put our stuff.

The room was clean and good sized. Everything seems to be a good working order, it was easy to get to the parking garage. I had no issues during my stay.

The room was near 80 degrees at 10:30 pm when I arrived and the ac couldn't cool the room making it extremely uncomfortable all night.

The room was very clean and really enjoyed the black out drapes kept room dark so I could comfortably sleep.

The accommodations are modern, fresh, and very clean. However, it's hard to justify the $30 resort fee when the property doesn't actually feel like a resort.

Renovation complete in some areas but others are work in progress. The pool area differs dramatically from the image on Expedia. There were only 7 lounge chairs in the pool area and they were well used and dirty looking. All else was fantastic.

The room was lovely and large. Beautiful bathroom. Full size refrigerator and mini kitchen. Our room was on the southern side of the property, close to the train tracks and bright and early a very long train woke us up. I think the northern tower would be quieter.

The view is amazing! The location of the hotel is Central to downtown. I was visiting for the Marguerite to crawl so the location was perfect. The front staff was helpful and so was the bellman. The only thing was that our shower was clogged so the water kept backing up. Other than that, everything was great.

A very nice casino and the hotel rooms were first class. Very nice restaurants and very helpful staff. The price was a bit high, but adequate considering it was one of the nicer casinos in Reno

Clean room, nice staff. Called it a “resort” but it is a garish, loud casino with a hotel inside. Had to walk through the cigarette-smelling, noisy onslaught of the casino to get in or out of hotel registration, elevators, parking. Also, although there were EV chargers in the parking lot, most of the adjacent spaces were taken up by car owners that were not using them.

Room was excellent as was the staff. Having a small microwave in the room is highly recommended.

Nice place paring is a bit troublesome

This is a really nice property. Within walking distance to all the cool places to hang out in Reno. The room was great; updated and very clean. Dependable elevators, great parking and the casino was also very clean. Unlike the old casinos, this one isn't too smoky. We had dinner at Hannah's and it was just so-so. The food was fine, but the price was steep for mid-range quality. One member of our party had a canned beer that was flat. May have happened during packaging and shipping and not be the fault of the restaurant. Will stay here again.

Stayed for 5 days and didn't have room cleaned or new towels for the entire stay. Been staying at this hotel for decades (since 1994) but will book other accommodations from now on.

This place blew me away. I thought the reasonable prices were too good to be true but nope!! It’s extremely clean and very safe, which was important to me as a solo traveler. It’s also conveniently located with stunning views depending on the tower chosen. The staff was very professional and friendly too which was MUCH appreciated. Overall, I have zero complaints and plenty of praise. I will absolutely be back!

Clean Had problems with tv. Spent 3 hrs with them trying to figure it out and then they finally moved us. Lady at desk was real rude to my husband. Spent almost 200.00 for one night and we got in late.

The room was very clean and spacious. The staff was polite and very helpful. We had the buffet and it was not to bad for being a buffet. The next day we had breakfast and the service was slow but the food was good. Overall I will come back the next time I need to stay in reno.

Room door could not open. Had to go back to the front desk and was informed that I had to pull the door and hold it while using the scan key to open it. Additionally, hot water ran out while I was soaped up and rinsing. Annoying and cold. Room was very clean, quiet.

Reno's newest resort and Casino is a pleasant surprise and close to Amtrak.

Convenient downtown location with free parking. We had a nice room with free coffee and bottled water, which is always nice to have in the morning before going on with your day. We had great drinks and food at the steakhouse, where the staff were friendly and efficient. Great value and Hotels.com made it easy to find.

This used to be the Old Sands Casino. They have completely updated it as J Resort. Great Casino, good eating spots and close to everything the Casino district. Friendly and helpful staff, super clean, great rooms with large, comfortable beds. You'll enjoy your stay here.

Suite was super dark, it had lamps but still didn’t have enough light. First part of the suite only 2 lamps one for the living room, and desk lamp. Bar area was dark no light, parking was horrible you have to park in the street because parking garage only goes to 4 and and everything is full. The outside lots are full as well so you park in the street having to pay meter parking

This property is nestled in the foothills of the mountains and is very pretty. They have hummingbirds all around wild turkeys and it’s just a beautiful property to stay at.

Very nicely decorated rooms, comfortable and extra large bathroom. Clean and we appreciated the nice kitchen area. Good location. We don't enjoy gambling, but the casino was clean and massive. Restaurants on site, we enjoyed Hannahs.

Our stay at the J was very good. The entire facility was run well, the food was good, and the resort had everything we needed.

Asked for extra coffee packets and got them in less than 30 minutes.

The shower design was frustrating, had to get in the shower to turn on the water, then to find out there was no hot water, was luke warm at best. Did tell the front desk, 2nd day water warmed up just as I was getting out of the shower. Overall, nice hotel just need to fix the water issues

J Resort was a nice place to stop on our long road trip. The price was great, the room very clean, the beds comfortable. But breakfast was not included, although it is listed on site. Otherwise a very comfortable stay for us.

Never left the resort/casino for anything. Everything we needed was on site! The pool wasn’t open though, that was kind of a bummer. I guess they’re rebuilding it!

It was a really great experience. Unfortunately I had my grand daughters with me. They wanted the pool but it didn’t open until Memorial Day weekend.

The food at the restaurant Hannas Table unfortunately was not good so we had to leave the property to eat . They were a little understaffed for a festival in valet and front desk and bell . The employees working were working very hard and doing their best. The Drifters festival was amazing ! The venue and the chairs great would come again .

The staff was very welcoming and helpful! The staff member allowed for us to check into a room early because we were from out of town! The hotel is very clean and the rooms were super clean and smelled good! An added bonus was the restaurants onsite and gift shops. I would definitely stay again!

The room was clean but we're told we didnt have maid service. We could request more towels. We had to make our bed . No micro wave and no clock. staff were super friendly. we only ate at Hanna's Restaurant. The others were so expensive. We ate out of the hotel. The casino , well you could nt miss it. It hit you as soon as you entered. Then you had to fi d registration. The walk a long way through all the casino to the elevators and your room. Not for the elderly.

1 night stay. The room was clean. Spacious bathroom with excellent water flow. Very clean. I personally prefer firm bed. The bed they had was like sleeping on cloud probably most other prefer. Overall I would come back again.

The property was clean and well maintained overall, however, the bathroom floors in our room were dirty. The beds were ok, we had to request extra blankets as there was no comforter on them. We only had one bath towel and had to ask for more. There is no supervision at the pool to enforce the rules, so there were a lot of kids that where not accompanied by an adult.

The hotel is nice enough, our room was clean and comfortable. We stayed 4 nights and received no housekeeping. There was no information shared at check-in about the need to request housekeeping and no information about the hotel, amenities, restaurant, etc in the room itself. After checking in we never encountered another staff member. The casino was very smoky, even the area that said it was non-smoking. We really just needed a clean, comfortable room as we were in town to visit family and spent little time at the hotel anyway.

The restaurant , Hannas is not very good. Do not go for the prime rib! The Hotel in general is quite smoky smelling, maybe better ventilation? We are non smokers so Im sure this would not bother smokers. We were disappointed to find the pool closed. Read the fine print before going. I guess it’s just a seasonal pool. The staff are good and everyone was very friendly.

Love this place

The room was spacious and clean. What bothered me was the weird smell in the room. It was like smoke and paint. The casino was smoky and elevators shaky. There was only a couple of blackjack tables, no roulette. There was only 1 person working the valet.

One of the best deals I found in Reno recently. I will come back again because my son is attending college at UNR. I will recommend this hotel to others who are looking for a short stay in Reno, Nevada.

Despite all of the negative reviews that I have seen regarding this resort, I had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the use of the self check in was a plus. The only downside is that if you have an early flight out there is no staff present to check out with, other than that it was great experience.

No valet. It was difficult to find a parking spot near entry. The bell person was on break. They had no one to help me. I had to carry luggage myself. Waited almost 15 mins to be seated at the restaurant. Even then no one acknowledged my presence. Ended up not eating at the resort at all I went elsewhere to eat. The room was clean. The mattress on the bed was very lumpy, it was not comfortable at all. I really would not recommend this resort to anyone that I know.

We LOVE this hotel/casino. Great amenities. Helpful staff. We ALWAYS stay at the J. It’s close to UNR -it’s affordable and helps when we stay for 4-6 days per trip. Amazing stay!!

The room was clean only thing blankets were kind of sucky not much of a comforter.

The hotel itself was decent, but the swimming pool area really needs to be remodeled and updated. It felt outdated and wasn’t very inviting, especially for families with younger children. If you’re traveling with little kids, there aren’t many family-friendly features or activities around the pool area to keep them entertained. We got a family room and we had so much space. Our bathroom was nice but the soap products could be better. The view was lovely. The casino was good to us and I liked that i could use my points the next day when i came back. Hannah's buffet was nice for breakfast and J Paul's Steakhouse was amazing, but the desserts were strange. We parked and got right onto the elevator and then right to the room. The only real issue I had that bothered me was that the room didn't get as cool as I'd like and the temperature outside was only 80. For a two night stay this place was great! I'd stay here again.

Fun hotel in Reno. Very offered

I was in the Birch Tower on 6th floor, parking lot side. It was extremely loud with the motorcycle parking directly under my room. However I did sleep well though. I love the new lobby area and front entrance. Food was decent,, I looked at the buffet and it did not look very well kept so I went downstairs to Hannah's. Prime Rib wasnt to bad but my salad was delicious. Good service with a few hiccups while training but all in all a solid 6 of 10. I will return and stay again.

The J Resort was a wonderful place to stay. The casino was extremely clean, with staff being very friendly and helpful. I loved the complimentary hotel shuttle service. My only complaint was the lack of lighting in the rooms, which was very disappointing. I hope that this issue gets resolved. Otherwise, this is a fantastic place to stay with an excellent buffet and plenty of casino games. Will definitely recommend this resort and will be visiting it again in November.

The J Resort was great. We were only there one night. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is well situated in Reno, slightly off the main strip.

I was in Reno to attend several days of Graduation exercises, so only used the room to sleep and did not partake of other amenities offered by the resort. Except for having to walk through the burning cigarette stench the first few yards upon entering, the resort was well decorated and seemed in good order. The room we stayed in was immaculate and did not smell like the the lobby at all :) The parking seemed ample and the Uber services had no trouble picking us up out front and delivering us back when we returned. Over all the experience was very pleasant.

One elevator had a vibration and made enough noise that we heard it several rooms away. The noise increased dramatically on our last day there and it seemed like that was the only elevator running. The hotel did move us down several floors and one more room away from the elevator, but we were still able to hear it. The staff did try to reassure us that it was safe but I would not stay here again without knowing the elevator was repaired.

The staff were great they were kind and glad to have us at the hotel and I have a good time playing at the casino and would love to come again and visit this hotel.

We traveled to help move our daughters from dorm, graduation and to see family.

Stayed in a king room in Birch tower. Gem we tried to check in (at 330pm) our room wasn't ready, so we dropped our stuff and went out. We came back a few hours later and we still didn't have a room ready. Ended up with a mountain view instead of city (which is what I booked.) The room was clean and the bathroom had great water pressure. About half the channels on the tv didn't come in, just displaying a black screen. The fridge was extra small.

The staff were professional, friendly, and very helpful. I interacted with the front desk staff about three separate times (including check-in), and they were wonderful and patient. The room has been remodeled and it was super clean. The only thing is that the room smelled a bit funky (in the Birch Tower). Other than that, everything was clean in the room.

Hotel was nice. Understood still fairly new with some things missing like office space for meetings. I did have one issue technology aspect. When trying to cast with my device, it came up as another room number. There was also missing a Bible in the room. Never been in an hotel that did not have a Bible. The shower body wash was not up to par. Not enough suds.

The customer service stinks. Many men in suits standing around in huddles, yet not a single acknowledgement of a single guest. If gambling there during the day, do not expect to be served any drinks. There is no one to ask you. Player rewards were useless because nobody explained that we had to meet our play criteria before midnight…no matter if you started at 9am or 9pm.

The staff was helpful and allowed us to check in early. This was a very pleasant surprise. The room came equipped with a full-sized refrigerator and a microwave. You also can cast from your device to the TV... if it detects you are in the right room. Furthermore, they also allowed us to keep our bags with the bellhop after we checked out. We used this time to explore the gift shop and to eat at Hannah's Diner. The service offered by Gregg was top notch. The loaded baked potato was tasty and a great deal for the price. Plus, the chicken biscuit was as good as any found in southern Alabama.

Always nice to stay here

The stay was great, the towels however they gave me an allergic reaction. The room cleaners never once came into the room to clean take dirty towels replace them with clean ones nor did they even bother to switch our sheets. To the point where I had little bumps on my skin! The buffet was not all that good and very little choices not only that but food wasn’t even hot it was barely even warm. Took forever to have a waitress to come to the slot machine for a beer. The front desk lady looked confused when I told her about how I was sent a message that my room was getting upgraded and she ignored it. Last year around this time I stayed and I had no problem the staff was beyond nice and they would go above and beyond my room was kept maintained.

The hotel itself was great, but the pool wasn’t available. The hot tub wasn’t available. There wasn’t even a free coffee station in the morning except for what was in your bedroom. Hannah‘s express was good if you wanted something quick to eat and get a cup of coffee.. it had a Starbucks in it but the bare minimum., Hannah‘s table was OK for breakfast. I probably wouldn’t stay here again just because there wasn’t a lot of amenities that come with the property. Everything that you wanted here you had to pay for they didn’t even have room service. They didn’t do housekeeping unless you asked for them to come to your room.. overall for what we paid to stay,I guess this was an OK resort but probably my last time staying here though.

The hotel it’s and staff are amazing! Hanna’s Table, great food but really pricey. The buffet do not waste your money!!!! Most of all hot dishes had been sitting and you can tell. Also, all of the food was cold. Also, when they have the fixing for salad, offer more than one type of lettuce mixture.

We always enjoy our stay at the J Resort. We had a few issues with our room this time..broken couch, squeaky air conditioning unit, and fluctuating water pressure. Hopefully they will keep up on the maintenance so their resort will remain our favorite place to stay in Reno!

Pool is closed for renovation, wish I would’ve known that ahead of time, DEFINITELY wouldn’t have booked here. Food at Hannah’s express/sit down was wonderful, very much recommend.

Rooms are nice and clean. If you book a room with balcony just know it's really no privacy the rooms next to you also share that space only thing separating you are these small gate. But the place is nice still a bit of construction going on. The restaurant is inside which is decent. There are not too many tables to play and the walking bartender was rude and was taking with Co workers instead of doing her job. But over all it was a great stay

It needs outdoor fire pits and lounge areas but obviously they are improving each year. It's so much better. I'm sure over time this place will have it all. I also like the wall that goes past all the statues up 4th street. That's pretty cool.

Everything was above par.

Checking in was a disaster. The female working the front desk was absolutely rude and from what I could tell doesn’t like her job and shouldn’t be working with customers. She gave me keys to the wrong room and then when I came back down stairs to get keys that work she refused to help me. Finally a different pleasant employee helped me. I didn’t get her name but she was completely unpleasant. Black hair black lipstick. I won’t go back there and I won’t refer the J resort to anybody.

AC never turned on and the room was 80 degrees. The bathroom door didn’t slide to close and it took over 30min to get maintenance up to look at it. The couches were dirty. The staff never came up to move us like the maintenance said we waited again and had to request the room. Staff acts as if they don’t need the guests to keep the place running. A bit odd based on their behavior. Just terrible.

During all my visits my room has a view of the construction site which means daily wakeup at 0645 when the work begins. Will be much nicer when that’s finished.

Staff was great! They went over and above to help out in any way they could and made my stay really good. Food was good and great service. The only drawbacks are they allow dogs in the restaurant and not sure how this meets health codes standards and if seated near them takes away from a nice experience. Also, quite of few homeless people going in and out of the casino but security was on top of it.

Paid a visit 68$ daily resort fee for absolutely nothing asked repeatedly for shuttle 2 blocks to Amtrak station to be fed m fused each time while shuttles just take up parking spaces,never to be used.

Only one person working desk when I arrived so despite only one other couple in line, very slow to check-in. First room's hot water didn't work so I had to move to another room requiring to pack up go all the way downstairs with bags just to return to same floor two rooms away. Hotel seems to be wearing quickly. Although new just a few years ago already seems a little shabby / dusty overall.

This wasn’t the best experience. No hot water for showers, the mattress was not comfortable, and the train in the middle of the night sounded like it was coming through the room.

Nice surprise to have a casino and hotel that didn't reek of smoke. Rooms seems newly renovated or well kept up. Nice decor. Good size. Has to switch rooms because first one had busted water temp -- only scalding water. But the switch was made easy. The hotel cafe Hannas Table had a nice menu variety and price. Well prepared. Parking included. Exercise room small and an after thought and likely rarely used but who is really working out on a casino vacation

Very nice clean hotel casino. Breakfast at Hanna’s kitchen was yummy.

Not sure why this hotel is rated so highly. One of the worst places I've stayed in quite some time. The whole place reeked of cigarette smoke. My non-smoking room smelled of smoke combined with bad chemicals used to try and cover up the smell. I could hear the elevators constantly, as well as music and people in the next room through the adjoining door. The carpet by the bathroom was soaking wet (gross). The bathroom soap, shampoo, conditioner were low quality and the soap nearly ran out during my stay. The toilet randomly clogged up during my stay, not due to anything I did. The mattress was old. Some of the lights in my room did not work, in addition to not being well placed or bright enough in some cases. I received many automated emails about check-in and check-out, but despite checking in online, I still had to check in with the desk, who appeared clueless about the online process. I do not recommend J Resort and would not stay here again.

Rooms were great very clean staff was all great except in restaurants and head of security have security made my 77 year old father walked through the entire casino from restaurant to hotel check-in.. Danielle that my 89-year-old aunt over there policies and how I should have had Bell hop bring a wheelchair just overall hospitality was horrible for a resort typically you pay resort fees to have a better stay so the VIP on the room package and it was absolutely horrible

The room was good. It was walking distance to most of the places i wanted to go. Clean, casino was ok, pretty standard. Food was a little pricey. Only issues i had was a lot of people just hangin out in the parking lot area, and someone threw up right next to my car getting some splatter on it. If they had that as part of guard patrol to keep it better, woulda been 5 star.
