Hotel and rooms were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good and well stocked with a lot of options for guests. The indoor pool was nice with the strong winds that Reno was having during our stay. It allowed the kids to swim without getting cold or exposed to the wind. Would definitely recommend and visit again

Our issue was our room. It was very dark, with just a dim hall light, and bedside lights, and of course the bathroom lights. When we approached the front desk and asked for a lamp for the desk, and a tall lamp for the corner, we were told that our room was standard and there were no more lamps. My husband asked for her name, and she asked us why that was relevant. I also received a text from her saying that I should ask the housekeeper in the morning. She did not offer to help. So that night we used a flashlight to look at our map. The A/C did not work properly. It stayed at 78* and when we turned it down, it came on for an hour and never came back on. We would get up at night sweating, and it would be back at 78*. I am menopausal, I need it cold. The next morning, a kind housekeeper named Carolyn gave us a desk lamp. We've stayed at many Hamptons, most have been amazing, but the unwillingness of staff to assist at this Hampton was ridiculous. We came in on a Friday, why did we have to wait until Monday to talk to a manager? Judy-Ann Holena

Our suite was HUGE! Very clean and comfortable. Fit our whole family perfectly. Breakfast was great as well! The front desk person was quite rude and snooty. The beds were slightly small.

Good safe location right off the interstate on I80 on the west side of Reno. Nice high ceilings. Nice saltwater indoor pool. Breakfast was really nice. Good outdoor area. There was a used tissue under a piece of furniture when we arrived but I was able to throw it away myself. It was expensive..

We’ve stayed at this hotel before. It was a great experience then. This time the breakfast was less spectacular and we ended up in the “baby wing” (it looked like every room around us had at least one toddler). The crying from the various rooms was annoying. We ended up turning the room fan on high to drown out the noise. We won’t come back here again.

Our go to place to stay in Reno.

What was unfortunately not clear from the booking was that the hotel was in the middle of renovations. The pool was not available, only one of the two TVs in our room worked, and the TV Guide button did not work, requiring a manual search through a printed channel guide that we had to go get from the front desk - all factors related to the renovations. On the other hand, when we requested a different room, the staff was very helpful and even provided a room upgrade at no extra charge. The complementary breakfast was pretty good for the typical hotel breakfast offering, and the 24 hour coffee in the lobby was very nice. I'm sure that when renovations are complete, this will be a very pleasant stay, and it was OK despite those factors.

Clean and updated. Staff are generally kind and helpful. There was construction in progress in the hallways that I didn’t know about at the time of booking. The pictures showed a hot tub but they removed it. The pool was closed for maintenance. Front desk staff wasn’t friendly at time of check in.

Room was clean and staff was friendly. The bed cover was scratchy and the bed no so comfortable. Pillows sucked. They were either too flat or if stacked too bulky and still flat if that makes sense. The bathroom door is a slider door that didn't close without gaps around it. Basically privacy was an illusion.

We won't likely stay here again due to the high pet fee. It makes the nightly rate too expensive for us. There are other options in the area with a lower room rate, lower pet fee and still very nice. Without our pet we would stay again.

Wonderful stay for 3 days! Clean comfortable room, and the absolute best fruit salad every morning with berries,oranges, pineapple, and melons ! All fresh! What an amazing treat!

The hotel was clean but the beds were terrible, creaky and so hard. The showers also had terrible pressure and the temperature kept fluctuating. We also weren’t told when we booked that the property was going through renovations- no gym, no pool.

The hotel was updated and clean Beds were hard as a rock. The breakfast was mediocre. There was a gap in the bathroom door, i guess because it was a pocket door, but that reduced privacy for us. I booked for the hot tub - and it was out of order. Not a great value.

There was also a REAL hair dryer as opposed to those that are stuck on the wall and rarely work. Check in and check out was very fast. Only complaint was the overly complicated thermostat for the heater/AC. We called the front desk and someone came up immediately. It would help if there were written instructions posted next to it, but other than that no complaints (except maybe the quality of the tissues and toilet paper). I highly recommend this facility.

The staff were amazing when I went to the wrong room. I thought that the key wasn’t working, but then the receptionist came up the stairs with me. She really went out of her way to be extremely helpful to my son and I.

Also, the refrigerator in my room froze everything I put in it. However the location is excellent If you want to get away from the hectic downtown area, the hotel is clean and well-lit and the staff is friendly.

This is a party zone. After 12 hours of driving, I just needed to sleep. There was a group of very active people in the room above mine. Footsteps were noisy, caused the ceiling and walls of my room to vibrate, and continuous until 2 or 3 AM, at which point they became louder/heavier, and then stopped. Needless to say, I did not sleep well.

When we checked in the rooms were "close" but not adjoining. We needed 4 beds between the 2 rooms. The option given was a room with a single bed and the second with the 2 beds. Then the front desk said we could always check out. Extremely rude!

There was a stain at the bathroom counter. It looks like blood stain. I asked the clean lady to please clean it and she did.

Check-in a bit odd as incidentals had to be charged using an actual card for tapping - no Apple Pay although this was advertised. Also was not allowed to swipe card. Bathroom had a sliding door that did not stay closed. It would slowly roll back on the rail. Also it hung away from the wall by about two inches. This combo basically made for zero privacy for anyone in the bathroom

Felt bad cause we had a noise complaint about our 2 yr old grandson. We were put on the 3rd floor even though I mentioned it would be a bad idea cause of our grandson jumping and running in the room. The receptionist stated it was fine. I’m so sorry.

Spent one night here on a road trip from California to Colorado. This hotel is wonderful! The staff, the service, the amenities, the food, the beds, the pool and fitness area, all exceeded our expectations. This was the best night’s stay of our entire 10-day trip, and that’s saying something

We stayed for 2 nights, and most things were fine. However, we did not have any room service, and they failed to clean our room, make the beds, or replace towels and the like. We left the room at 10:00 am and returned at 10:00 pm so they had plenty of time. Not life changing but pretty disappointing.

Tv remote did not work. Staff said the remotes do not pair but only informed me after I had to call them and scan a QR code. The toilet would not flush and did not stop running for awhile.

Everything was great except for the dog areas. The sand is not a good thing for some dogs because they will not eliminate. I had to go find a patch of grass so my dog could do her thing. If you had more grassy area that would be much better. The fee I paid was good, but not accommodating for eliminations. I would suggest more grass areas

Computers were down so I couldn't check in, desk staff were friendly and professional but the lack of a backup process for computer issues is a major failure at an enterprise level

We had a great stay. Room was nice, and location convenient to rte 80.

It's located on the west side of Reno before the hustle of downtown which was great for us. Clean, kind, good breakfast.

Enjoyed our stay here. Staff were very friendly at checkin. Found a roll a way bed for us which was so appreciated. Breakfast was one of the bests we have had with a great selection.

The hotel is conveniently located, clean, & in good condition. It’s a safe neighborhood. The hot breakfast is good. Staff could be friendlier - front desk & cleaning staff - & walls are very thin. Heard the room next door’s tv until 3AM & sounded like a running gym in the room above us.

We asked for a different room because the first was too far to walk as I am handicapped and forgot to mention when booking. They switched without issue. The bed was incredibly comfortable. It was quiet and super clean. All the toiletries were provided. I barely had to unpack anything but my toothbrush and pajamas. They were very pet friendly and my 2dogs were very happy

This was not a great experience. First, we waited 45 minutes past checkin time while the room was being cleaned. Then we found that the AC unit in our room made a horrible clicking noise that could be heard from outside the hotel. They eventually moved us to another room.

I needed a late check in and the staff was very accommodating. The room was lovely and clean. I also enjoyed the excellent breakfast.

I need help getting a refund for my stay. I couldn’t stay, due to my age. Which Expedia didn’t specify on the listing. So once I arrived in a whole different state then mine, I couldn’t stay at any hotel because there is an age restriction of 21 to book a hotel. And I am 19. Hampton Inn does a great job to ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay for their guests. My favorite part is how CLEAN it is. Front desk is also helpful and courteous. Complementary hot breakfast was perfect before snow day in Tahoe. We stayed for 2 nights and would absolutely stay here again for future trips.

Clean, quiet and friendly staff

The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was not great by any means but that was not an issue since we rarely eat breakfast.

Everything was doing great. Had breakfast following AM and ended up getting food poisoning. Spent Saturday afternoon in bed with vomiting and dyrehra. Cut out stay short and went home. Today is Tuesday and still recovering. Went to critical care who confirmed food poisoning.

Nice and modern. Very spacious. Check in was fast and easy. Front person was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Bed was comfortable. Pillows were kinda flat. The only real complaint is all the outlets were very loose and it was hard to charge my phone. Other than that it was great!

It was close to a relatives home in west Reno.

We liked that it was close to our place of business. The room was good, and the beds were decent. We enjoyed the free breakfast, which had a great variety of selections.

Bed and pillows were not comfortable.

Room was very poorly built. It was very noisy and you can hear everyone walking or running. Someone knocked on our door around 10pm due to my kids talk so loud and of course we didn't open it since we never open to strangers. The front door called us and told us to be quiet! Very unbelievable! It was a new years eve and 10pm they told us to be quiet because of my kids talking!!!!! So bad hotel this is. I understand if this is just a regular night but this is a new years eve and it was just 10pm!! Please build a damn better walls and hotel! Also the bathroom door kept on jamming and we couldn't open it sometimes. Also soap and shampoo were low and we ran out as well. The plugs for the night stand was loose. Overall very bad experience! Do not stay here look elsewhere! Breakfast tables also very limited and a lot of people waiting for table. Will not come back!

We had a very noisy neighbor one of the nights- but otherwise it was quiet, safe and convenient. The breakfast options exceeded expectations and the staff was very good about replenishing the food— and breakfast hours were very good too! We enjoyed our stay very much

wonderful stay besides the difficulty of operating the thermostat in our room. we called the front desk and someone came up promptly to reset the device so we could set it at the temp that we needed. Very nice staff! Will stay again

Great hotel in Reno on the west side of town right off I-80. Good gym, good hot tub and the staff was courteous and helpful.

Very nice property and the rooms were extremely clean and nice. Can't beat the breakfast every morning and the nice kick-back area in the lobby to take in a game while you relax. Shout out to the front desk staffers Gracey and Logan for being so accommodating to all our family's needs. Great place to stay!! Tom (San Diego)

I liked the room a lot, very spacious and accommodating. the breakfast included was very good with many choices. Parking was scarce in front but ample in back. Staff was very friendly and professional but I never saw more than one staff member and several times went by the front desk with nobody there. They were however, there when I needed them. Great place, I would return.

Hotel and staff were great. Door keys didn't work the first night. So staff had to let everyone into their rooms. After room key system was fixed. Everything was great.

At the breakfast buffet, there was no coffee the cranberry and orange juice were out and the front desk clerk told me that that’s the responsibility of the kitchen people, but I never found a kitchen person to tell, staff acted like they didn’t wanna do anything.

Friendly staff. Large room. Shower products provided. Landscape and views were beautiful. Breakfast was good and fresh fruit, too. Coffee provided all day. We felt safe. Room was quiet. We would stay here again.

Staff provided exceptional, friendly service. However, the room had no view. Very few gluten free options at the free breakfast buffet.

Nice property

The first stay at a Hampton Inn was Kalispell, Montana. Quite a nice experience so we picked this one in Reno. Convenient location. Staff were all friendly & helpful. Only issue was the room itself. The sliding barn door that doubled as bath/closet door was terrible. It wouldn’t close all the way so there was about a two inch gap & no way to latch. Also, the bathroom was immediately facing front door so if you’re sitting on toilet & someone cranks that front door open? You can wave at people in hallway! Absolutely ridiculous. Curtains on both windows were a joke. Couldn’t close them completely & left gaps in middle. Sofa bed was pretty much a joke. I know you can’t expect too much from those but trust me when I say it’s not suitable for an adult. Small kids would probably be fine with it. Water pressure in shower was abysmal!! Most people probably expect that to some degree, but between that & soft water, it was bad! If we stay in that area again, it will be a B&B most likely.

The most I like is the location to my son and family on the west side of Reno, within 5 minutes.

Staff was friendly, and the hotel was clean , the only think I didn’t like was that we had to pay $75 cleaning fee for my little puppy.

At the end of a long road trip, this very spacious and comfortable room was most welcome. The staff were friendly and efficient and the breakfast buffet had a variety of items, including fresh fruit. Will definitely stay here again.

This particular Hampton Inn is conveniently located right off Hwy 80 and thankfully has no freeway noise. The rooms have very high ceilings for an extra feeling of roominess. A microwave and small frig are handy. The breakfast options were decent and plenty with hot food options which is much appreciated. Oddly, the seats are too low for the tables so we sat on throw pillows. 24 hour coffee and tea are also much appreciated. A well thought out hotel that I will stay at again if I'm in the area.

I used to live in the area, so it was close to family and friends. Wonderful, clean, safe hotel for a single lady. I would stay there again.

The property was just fine, easy entry and exit to the highway.

Wish we could open a window-always enjoy to get a fresh air breeze. Breakfast standard. Fresh fruit salad was not so fresh though :(

Breakfast buffet was one of the best hotel ones we have had. Clean, pool area is inside so can echo a bit but was clean and great space. We had a baby with us so able to park his stroller against wall and still swim close but wasn’t too close I felt unsafe. Kids really enjoyed it.

My stay overall was good. I was a little disappointed that our window view was mostly of other hotel rooms windows and the side of the building. For the price we should of had a better view. Next time i will make sure our window is not facing the building walls or other hotel rooms windows. The shower was an issue though. If you were 8 ft tall or taller it was great, but for someone shorter like 5 ft or 5.5 ft you could not reach the shower head to move it where you wanted it etc. I had to stand on the edge of the tub to move the shower head, which is very dangerous. The shower head sprays all over the floor and makes a mess. The complimentary breakfast was very good and the service. The room was very clean. I will give it a 4.

Nice stay. Beds could be a little softer. Overall great place to stay.

They have a bunch of hidden fees. My $200 room suddenly became $300 without prior knowledge. Also the bed was awful. The sheets were like sandpaper. I figure the Hilton could invest in decent sheets and not one ply super cheap toilet paper. The room was also very hot and the air didn’t work. That was the last time I will stay at a Hilton.

Had a wonderful stay, came up for a friends wedding with our six month old the girl at the front desk was very considerate and told us the best room to take with having her. It was wonderful very quiet room!
