Courtyard by Marriott Reno

My vehicle was backed into right in front of the building. I requested footage of the parking lot and never heard from any employee. I am super frustrated with this situation and can’t believe a Marriott doesn’t have parking lot cameras.

Great updated rooms! Perfect amenities such as state of the art gym and restaurant on premises. The front desk staff were wonderful and very inviting!

Easy access, close to my needs and places to dine and shop. Everything is ala cart and no typical continental breakfast. Other than that, its a good location

I contacted customer service regarding these concerns and was told that I needed to go to the lobby at 3 p.m. to speak with the manager. As a guest, I should not have to track down management because the room was not properly cleaned or inspected before the next guest arrived. This issue still has not been resolved, and because of that, I would not recommend staying here.

Bed was rock hard but otherwise the hotel was great. Clean, friendly staff.

Clean hotel, convenient location. The walls are thin so you can hear everything, like your neighbors shower. The tv didn’t work. The conditioner and body wash were empty and no wash cloths were provided. The shampoo is awful and the hair dryer literally lit my hair on fire. The food at the bistro is terrible (as in my scrambled eggs were cold two days in a row- they’re not freshly cooked), but the Starbucks coffee is good. The woman working the bistro is the hardest working employee, but the front desk employees seem tired and indifferent to guests. Parking is hard. Amenities for a basic businesss trip are lacking.

Buyer beware!!!!! This place is awful! I reserved a 2 queen room and at check in they gave me a king bed only, did not tell me they switched it and when I showed them my reservation they told me it was my fault despite the reservation clearly showing 2 queens! When the manager arrived on scene she told me the hotel was full and they had no other rooms and that I had to take what they gave me! Wow!!!!! So don’t trust them! Staff was absolutely awful! It was so bad I cancelled my reservation and went somewhere else to salvage the trip.

Toilet needs to be updated. It was the old model that is very low. It makes it difficult for any person to get up without holding on to something for assistance. Toilet lid kept flopping down on you during use. Fixtures were also outdated in the bathroom. Also, the room needs more lighting imn most areas.

It was a little on the expensive side and the laundry facilities were very small and the dryer didnt really dry clothes even after adding extra time.

My only comment is that I was unaware that housekeeping only cleans the rooms every other day. When I asked why they didn't come yesterday, I was told about this and the front desk staff said that I should have been told when I checked in. I wasn't.

It took 15 minutes of just standing at the counter before we even got to give an order, then another 20 to get the food, but it was all heat and serve Starbucks food, so I don’t understand why, except needing two people would help. Oatmeal was barely warm. I asked if I should expect this both day we were there and the front desk basically just said yes, they only have one person and the dining counter and one in the back. We had to leave early so I had to get down to the dining room and make sure I was early just to be sure we got food, even though there were only a few other guests there. Be prepared to wait a long time…or get food somewhere else if you are in a rush.

When I found out they only clean on the third day, unless asked otherwise, I was pretty disappointed. Housekeeping was gone for the day and so I could only get more clean towels. I paid $560 for two nights and didn’t get my room cleaned! I was pretty grumpy about it with the front desk, but when I apologized to them later, they graciously accepted.

Best Courtyard Hotel we have had the pleasure of visiting. Associates were pleasant and respectful. Especially liked the bathroom without a bathtub. Bed was comfortable also. Very satisfied with our stay.

We were very disappointed your website states you have a pool and spa, this was our main reason for booking at this hotel. We wanted to escape the valley heat and enjoy a getaway with a pool. Please update your amenties on your website. Wound up just sitting in the bar area trying to enjoy a cocktail and got over charged by the bartender saturday night. She was very unfriendly and did not want to give us a receipt, stated "We usually keep these" Once we saw the receipt she had charged us twice for the drink. Also our ice machine was broke on our floor and disappointed the coffee wasnt a keriug so we could bring our own coffee

Location was perfect centralized for what we needed to get around and do. The bonus part was convenient of store and eateries. The bedding was too old for good support and comfort l. Towels were a bit rough.

There was a third charger that was missing the J1772 adapter… So no charging for me. When I asked the receptionist for an adapter, she kept telling me it was with the charger, even though I told her a few times that it wasn’t. When you have only two working chargers for an entire hotel, you probably should not advertise EV charging… Oddly, more of half of the parking lot was empty, so there would have clearly been plenty of space to install a few more chargers. And the installation of a level 2 charger isn’t expensive, either. The tech difficulties didn’t stop there, the hotel had also advertised free WiFi, but the WiFi was only accessible for Bonvoy members… Normally, this wouldn’t have mattered much, but my cell reception inside the hotel was virtually non existent; I couldn’t even receive texts. For more than $200 per night, you should have WiFi!!!

Location was excellent, and the breakfast at the bistro was made to order and covered by the room rate. So much nicer than a boring buffet. Also, when we had an unexpected incident with the bathroom sink being backed up with what appeared to be coffee grounds (though it did not smell like it ) when we returned from a day’s outing, staff member Sukhmani took beautiful care of us, relocating us promptly to another room. She was prompt, apologetic, and exceedingly kind. She and her manager saw to it that we had a credit on our bill to compensate for the disruption and room relocation. This is one of many reasons we will continue to stay at Marriott and are happy to be Bonvoy members.

Seems like a design flaw with the AC as it was put right in front of the TV cabinet, and the privacy curtain also kept getting in the way so you had to do some tricks to get the room to get cool in the evening. Not really a dealbreaker, but an observation.

Bed is comfy. Blackout shades are good. Staff were very friendly and my breakfast sandwich was delicious, however I would have still preferred continental breakfast. And for the price, a small pool and hot tub would have made the cost make sense. Otherwise it had the basics so I could play my softball tournament and parent! Thanks for that!

Bits of noise of the freeway, but that can’t be helped. It didn’t bother us really the door locks are kind of funky that you have to hold the one from the inside to close it.

Everything was great, really didn’t like the shower! No pressure, took forever to wash my hair. I hate the low flow shower head.

Great staff very wonderful. Gym was the favorite 24 hrs and the restaurant also good. Atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for! Will definitely be back in the future.

I would also suggest adding more bathroom amenities in the room, like lotion and shower caps. Other than that it was nice.

We were a little underwhelmed with our stay. Upon entering our room it smelled of faint cat litter. For dinner we stayed in and ordered from the bistro. Our burgers were over cooked and dry. The salad seemed spoiled.

We checked out early due to the air conditioner, which made both my daughter and I sick. The front desk staff- woman working in the AM, charged us anyway for the night, although we checked out before 11am, due to getting sick from the AC unit. We have stayed in many Courtyard properties, but will never stay in another one in the future.

The window in our room doesn't lock, the latch appears to be broken so the window doesn't seal. Wind was blowing in all night keeping us up. Also breakfast doesn't start until 7, if you work, or your on a trip chances are your gone by then which was true in our case. The window though really ruined the stay.

It was a great experience and stay. The hotel employees were friendly and helpful. Codie contacted me to verify if I was staying another night because I had made a mistake with my booking arrangement. I needed to extend my stay for one more day, and Codie helped me with this process. He made it very easy and ensured that all of my belongings were handled. I would stay here again when visiting Reno.

The check in progress was very smooth. I really appreciated the personal touch of check in. I really have nothing bad to say about my stay. The room was comfortable and clean, the desk in there was very functional. Loved the chargers on the nightstand. Overall, a very easy stay.

This the first hotel where I didn’t have to complain or ask them to give me a clean room. I loved everything about this hotel my 6 year old daughter didn’t want to leave.
