Paid in full through Bookings. As soon as I arrived the desk clerk demanded a credit card. I explained that I already paid but he refused to give me the room key until I gave him a credit card it left me with an uneasy feeling. I tried to check out the next day but the clerk refused he said no matter what he would not refund the final day. I asked for a receipt which he gave me but I noticed it was for the following day. So I contacted Bookings but they were unable to help me. I would not recommend this hotel it's in a bad neighborhood alot of homeless outside the clerk warned me not to Even go next door to the Jack in the box. I will be filing a complaint with the district attorney for resolving this matter.

Property is well-located for events in downtown Redwood City. Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating in all respects. Room was large, bed comfortable, good lighting, clean and in excellent condition. Breakfast was a notch above motels of this price range. This is of course not a luxury property (we did not pay for or expect that). But they do it right all the way around. Nothing.

I booked this room as my son is a patient at Stanford Children’s and we were in town for a procedure. I was traveling alone with my two children. Upon arrival I noticed the area seemed a bit sketchy. Pulling into the parking lot (At night) my heart sank. It was a small hotel, but the first thing I saw was several men standing around in the parking lot. I checked in and we started to unload the car and head to our room. The men were also staying at the hotel not just randoms loitering. However, I couldn’t help but feel unsafe as these men just walked a woman and her 2 kids walk into their room alone. The room itself was clean and decent. I work remotely and traveling with my laptop and an additional screen so a desk is a must. This room had a desk area but absolutely not a single available outlet to plug my computer in. This was also a big issue. The only place was on the nightstand and that wouldn’t work. I was very uncomfortable and couldn’t bring myself to unpack yet. I kept thinking there was no way I would be able to sleep and we were there for 3 nights. Ad I was contemplating leaving (and losing over $500) the people upstairs started making noise. It sounded like 50 people jumping up and down. It sounded like they were coming through the ceiling. I made the decision to move to another hotel, further from the hospital but somewhere we were familiar with and felt safe.

I wasn't thrilled with the absence of an elevator. My room was directly under the outdoor staircase, and I woke up every time someone bump-bump-bumped their luggage up or down the staircase. The presence of a supermercado across the street and a 24-hour Jack in the Box are of course out of the control of the property, but did give a dingy feel to the area.

Man at the front desk provided me two complementary bottled waters when he checked me in. Sadly, that was the extent of the "customer service" I recieved. 1) The hotel is tiny, and if you drive a full-size vehicle, getting into and out of their walled parking lot, let alone parking, will be a challenge. 2) The Rooms look clean, but get any water on the floors, even the fake hardwood in the room itself, and when you wipe it up, the towel will be nasty. The rooms are all tile floors, but I don't think they have been mopped in months, if not years. I witnessed the rooms being vacuumed by turnover cleaning staff, but there was no mop or floor cleaner anywhere to be seen. 3) The bed was terrible. Might as well have slept right on the hard floor. It was like the staff threw some sheets on a box spring and called it good. 4) I had initially booked my stay for two nights, but received a message from my spouse that I needed to return home ASAP due to a family emergency. Thus. I had to cut my trip to only one night. I informed the man at the front desk before 9 AM that I needed to cancel my second night due to a family emergency. He flat out refused and told me that because I booked through booking.com, he could not help me, and I would have to take it up with their customer service team, which I immediately did. The booking.com customer service rep noted that I had paid the extra for the trip insurance (I had already had my planned meeting changed on me three times at the last minute, and it happened again as I was on the phone with the booking.com rep, so I bought the insurance knowing it would likely be needed). She informed me it would be no problem to cancel my second night, she just needed to call the hotel. She did so, and the hotel told her it was impossible to cancel due to their 24-hour cancellation policy, which was totally different than what was posted on the booking.com website and app. The hotel refused to cancel my second night. I returned to the hotel's front desk and told the guy that he had never told me about any cancellation policy. I showed him on the booking.

It was accessible, comfortable and clean. I appreciated the variety of options for breakfast as well. That a housekeeper came into our room to change towels (I suppose) a while after us checking into the room and getting ready for bedtime. It just seemed very odd and out of place.

An ice cube melted on the floor and when I went to wipe up the puddle, the napkin was black. We checked the bottom of our feet and they were also black. This was after being in the room for approximately one hour and a half. The night clerk did mop the floor after complaining and said the room would be thoroughly cleaned the next day. Housekeeping made the beds, took some of our towels and did not replace them, and did not replace the coffee pods. We wore socks that second day, and the bottoms of the socks were also dirty. The room does not get much natural light and the lightbulbs in the lamps were not bright enough to adequately illuminate the room.

Was working on a project in nearby Atherton, the most expensive zip code in the US. Since the parking lot was small, I didn't want to move my van once I was parked. There was a jack in the box, a liquor store, a grocery store, and a dominos, all within walking distance so, zero complaints. Great deal, clean room, nice area. Also, great coffee and breakfast.

I recently stayed at a brand new Best Western Plus (in Coaling) and was impressed by the very stylish modern decor and total spotlessness. This one in Redwood City is a good effort at upgrading a former motel in the same style, but felt a little more low-budget (though at a similar price point). Nevertheless, I appreciate the move toward clean, modern interiors, which are much more appealing than some of the more dated hotels you find.

My family and I were here for three nights. It’s a basic no frills place, but I knew that when I was booking. The ladies and gentlemen that work at the front desk are so friendly and polite! We ate breakfast there all three mornings. The breakfast area is extremely small, but everything was very good. They had eggs, potatoes, sausage, pancakes, bagels, juice and coffee. My only complaint was how loud the people were above us. They checked in late, we were already sleeping. The footsteps were so loud it woke us up. It sounded like a herd of elephants! Hearing the the people above would be my only complaint about this hotel, stay on the 2nd floor and you’ll be fine.

Staff are all nice and room was clean and nice !

The front desk clerk was very welcoming and friendly. The room seemed clean and spacious at first glance!!! We open the beds and the sheets had not been changed for either bed, the side table had hairs on it. I was completely taken aback because I worked at a BW plus before and this was not our standard! I had some very cranky and sleepy kiddos whom I just put to bed on top of the comforter. They need to check on their house keeping staff!!!

Nice accomodations

Clean and up to date. Shower pressure and heating was quick. Lighted mirror was a nice touch. Awesome breakfast, really cool automated pancake and the coffee machine made cappuccinos. Staff was quick on restocking. Could use more parking area.

Very convenient location. Flexible staff & very accommodating. Just 2 stories and Only drawback is no elevator. Could be a problem for some.

Hotel was in a convenient location and a good value overall. The room was updated and pretty clean with a comfortable bed. I didn’t realize rooms were all on a common exterior walkway opening to the parking lot and street.

Small parking lot. Very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Lots of breakfast choices

Area: It's not fancy and I wouldn't walk around because it's a busy street but there's easy access to whatever you might need. Breakfast: Good. I hate when hotels say they offer breakfast but it's literally granola bars and muffins. Best Western actually offers a decent breakfast. This part makes what we paid for this Best Western totally worth it because we didn't have to pay for breakfast somewhere else. They also offered free water bottles. That's a small perk that makes a big difference since so many hotels nickel and dime you for these things.

The rooms were not cleaned properly on a daily basis, and toiletries were not replenished once they were finished.

This hotel is a hidden gem. The staff was great, the room remodeled, clean and spacious. We enjoyed the light breakfast I’m the mornings, just enough. We will stay here again.

There were used towels in the shower hanging behind the door.

Area was ok, nice room but AC ran different. Otherwise I would go back

But the shower really needed a mat as floor was quite slippery. Had to put a towel on the shower floor!

Lugar muy agradable y limpio desayuno bueno aunque el lugar donde se sirve es muy reducido pues es de acuerdo al tamaño del hotel el cual no es muy grande..

I typically don’t leave reviews but it was that bad.

Clean, updated furniture, good breakfast, attentive staff

The room's floor is not cleaned well. The hotel is located right at side of busy traffic roads. Inside the room is OK but outside is very noisy. I doesn't recommend this hotel to seniors.

Under renovation so we have to somewhat understand and live with it during our stay.
