Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating its proximity to beaches, dining, and shopping, as well as its cleanliness. However, there are consistent complaints about the high cost, lack of amenities, and poor customer service.
- Close to beaches, dining, and shopping
- Cleanliness
- High cost for value
- Lack of amenities and services

room not as nice as other hiltons or other local hotels for similar price. added a $40/day parking charge and mandatory $35 food and beverage charge, covered one drink each for both of us at$34, had to leave cash tip, won’t be back
- 4/5
Hotel is definitely not a resort, thus that fee shouldn’t even be applied despite using it as a credit towards purchases. Parking also definitely shouldn’t be charged unless they have security walking around ensuring cars are safe. These are not negative, only providing my opinions.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, and a great bar. NOTHING
- 3/5
The hotel is clean and in a convenient location. Beds are super comfortable. My only issue is upon check in I had my service dog with me. I made it clear she is working and is always with me. I was charged a deposit and parking fee upon check in, obviously normal. After checking out and being home a few days I noticed an unusually large charge on my card statement from the hotel. When I called to inquire I was told I was charged a pet fee, that was a little over 80 dollars. I was never told this would be charged as I would have educated the gentlemen who checked me in on ADA laws. I was refunded the money eventually but I think management should be aware I was never told I would be charged this fee and maybe they need to train staff on ADA rules/regulations.
- 3/5
Staff was horrible. Acted as if I was an inconvenience.
- 4/5
The bar tender was rude. He said that he was tired and ready to get off work. I told him that he should treat his last customers just as if they were his first customers of the day.
- 5/5
Staff very helpful and courteous
- 4/5
Good distance from the pier The parking fees, the cost of the room and incidentals should be your only charge.

Great location, great staff & great service Nothing to dislike
- 5/5
The room was clean. The staff was friendly and they have a great coffee bar and bar so it’s wonderful. The only issues we had just had to deal with checking out there seem to be some extra charge to our room that took a little a while to resolve, but it did get resolved.
- 4/5
great location, nice to have micro and fridge in room there was a sewage smell in the bathroom when we first checked in and it persisted through the trip

The location was very nice allowing for an easy walk to restaurants and ocean views. HH member here. We were not given a comp coupon for breakfast. In fact, didn't know about it until check out. At checkout, we were charged $35 per day for the privilege of parking our own vehicle in an open-air in and out lot. The rooms are smaller. We had to ask for more towels, as 2 bath towels for 2 adults wasn't going to cut it. We stayed here before the renovation several years ago. The rooms still do not reflect the quality of a supposedly nicer Hilton property. Oh, and we were supposed to pay a resort/property fee. It's not a resort. The one elevator has a very narrow entry and made it difficult for access and egress with luggage. As an HH member an ocean facing room might have made me happier.

Ocean pic online is deceiving lol looks closer than it is
- 4/5
Room was clean, staff was very helpful.
- 1.5/5
The location the smell and it was out dated
- 3/5
We booked online through Expedia and paid about $540/nt. I assumed this high rate was due to the proximity to the music fest we were attending but while talking with some other guests we found that they had only paid about $225/nt. The location was excellent. Very convenient to restaurants and the beach. Thr room was very clean but smelled of cleaning chemicals. Kind of like an old motel. We asked for a quiet room due to the music fest across the street and they moved us as far away from the venue as they could however the ice machine was right outside our door and made a lot of noise when people were getting ice at night. Not a huge deal though. 2hrs of free bike rental per day was a definite plus. The lighting in the bathroom wasn't bright enough for me to see to shave.

Very good
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the food with a Starbucks located in the hotel. The bed linens and pillows were wonderful.
- 1.5/5
Location Facilities were very average Noisy rooms but above all, no Breakfast offered whatsoever. Inflexibility in booking (I needed to extend my stay for one day and it was not possible)!
- 4/5
Nice stuff , easy parking.
- 5/5
Great location. Will stay here again.
- 3/5
WiFi connection was spotty, ok only if in your room. Room was clean, but bathroom had a bad smell that we noticed when we checked in and throughout our stay. The front desk staff were disappointing, smiling on the surface when greeting, but not very accommodating and seemed put out whenever we asked a question or about amenities. This is the third time we’ve stayed at this property and we keep coming back because of the excellent location, but not sure we will come back after this stay. Other properties close by for similar pricing.
- 4/5
This hotel is a good stop for the area. From the outside and hallways it does not look like much, but the rooms are renovated nicely and very comfortable. Staff was good, certainly a smaller hotel but perfect for enjoying the near by area.
- 4/5
The people at the desk were excellent but there weren’t enough of them. There was completely inadequate coverage at the bar/cafe. But room was ver clean although very tight. Could hardly move chairs into a position to sit in.
- 3/5
Great location. Use of beach bikes is a bonus. Cons $40 parking charge Not cheap
- 5/5
We would certainly book this again, convenient, clean and good value
- 5/5
Internet was perfect, clean room, plenty of towels. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly.
- 5/5
The room is very nice and quiet and we really enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
Internet was awesome love the stay looking forward to my next visit
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 3/5
staff does not have any hospitality experience given Hilton is attached to it. Honestly, stay away if you can.
- 4/5
We did not have hand soap or shower caps. There’s no place to hang towels and the housekeeping staff did not speak English. Also the cook was not working when we came down for breakfast at 9:00 am. I was not able to check out in the room.
- 3/5
The bathroom had ants in the tub area. Also, our room wasn’t ready for check in so we had to opt for something else. We still got the marina
- 5/5
Spacious room great location!
- 4/5
The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Fresh towels were provided which was nice.
- 3/5
Ok
- 5/5
Liked hot tub and early check-in.
- 4/5
We stayed one night. Hotel was clean and comfortable. It is also in a great location.
- 5/5
Just close and had open parking lot for Van
- 5/5
Great little hotel to stay in while visiting the Redondo Beach area that I love so much. The rooms are rather nice and I just love the convenience of having everything nearby. The hotel had a nice lobby with food and drink available. Will definitely consider staying here again next time!
- 4/5
The location was great and virtual check in easy. The main issue is the room had a musty odor that was very strong and was a detraction.
- 2/5
Got a handicap room, was not notified. A/C blows right on the bed. Check-in individual not pleasant. Wouldn’t stay there again.
- 1/5
After a long travel day, I arrived at midnight to the hotel that I reserved and paid for only to find out that they had oversold the hotel and had no room for me. They wanted to send me 15 minutes away. I had to book a closer room and nothing was covered. I will NOT be back again.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean rooms.
- 2/5
We were on the first floor. Room was very outdated, room was musty and damp. The room needs to be updated, it felt very old and dingy. I wouldn’t stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent!!
- 4/5
The staff was great, the entire hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. A great location near the pier and restaurants.
- 1/5
Arrived at 4:20PM but have to wait near one hour in the lobby for the room.
- 2/5
Was average at best.
- 3/5
The hotel should give us the same amount of nights us a credit for us to go back and have a better experience!
- 5/5
Quiet clean
- 5/5
All was just perfect. I was even pleasantly surprised that the jacuzzi was in operation during December. This made for a very relaxing and more enjoyable trip. Thank you !
- 5/5
The room was very nice, comfortable bed and the staff is very nice.
- 5/5
Location k service
- 3/5

- 5/5
Nice place. Staff has been friendly and helpful. Great location
- 4/5
Great location. Lots of restaurants around.
- 5/5
Cleaning staff was excellent.
- 5/5
Very nice and convenient.
- 5/5
The room was perfect: clean, stocked and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The gym and the pool area were clean and well equipped. We’d definitely stay at this hotel again.
- 5/5
The room was very clean, well stocked and the check-in agent was excellent!
- 5/5
Courteous, clean, comfortable beds!
- 2/5
Let’s start with we got to the hotel for check in on Saturday at 3pm and we were told we couldn’t check in (apparently they didn’t have any clean rooms) finally got checked in to get up to our room that smelled mildew. Went to take a shower and the water only go lukewarm, went down to speak to the front desk and was told maintenance wouldn’t be available until the next morning. They never fixed the issue, never addressed it with me at all. We’re from Redondo and expected much more from our hometown.
- 5/5
Clean room , great staff
- 5/5
The room was very clean.
- 2/5
No key the whole time we stayed and managment didn’t offer any compensation for the inconvenience
- 2/5
Dirty foot traffic carpet and old beat up furniture. Needs update
- 5/5
Great as always
- 2/5
No room key available during my entire stay.
- 5/5
Comfortable stay
- 5/5
Water was not hot enough for a hot shower. It was lukewarm. Otherwise facilities would get 5 stars.
- 5/5
The rooms was great and the staff was awesome. We were able to get an early check-in and a late check out, which was so very helpful for our situation that weekend. We enjoyed the hot tub very much and the workout room. The only thing I wish is that the bar would advertise their drink prices. We were charged $46 for three glasses of wine and I might have selected otherwise if the prices were listed somewhere.
- 3/5
Smell in the rooms
- 5/5
Room was as expected
- 5/5
Great location and good rooms!
- 5/5
Nice hotel with courteous staff. Excellent location!
- 4/5
This hotel wasn't bad at all. Comfortable, close to many restaurants and things to do. The elevator is way too small. Walking the floors seems like a maze getting to rooms and guests shouldn't have to pay for parking.
- 5/5
Great stay at the Redondo! Check was smooth and the receptionist was very accomodating! The room was very clean and quiet! We enjoyed our brief stay here.
- 5/5
Very helpful staff. Great location
- 5/5
Very clean room, hot tub was very warm, they had parking but not sure about ut being secure, the hotels is in walking distance to restaurants and the marina, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the bar area was very inviting
- 5/5
Walking distance to the beach!!!
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
Just pricey for a simple, clean room and car parking. Nothing fancy or extra.
- 5/5
great stay
- 5/5
Clean room. Staff was kind of unprofessional at front desk and seemed put out. Might want to smile more. Be more welcoming. Love this place for the location.
- 4/5
na
- 5/5
We had an awesome time! Everything was great! Thankyou! Paul&Tina Lozzi
- 5/5
Nice rooms and great location. Love that they have Starbucks coffee options in the lobby and a full menu of food at all hours. My only criticism is that you have to pay for parking.
- 5/5
The rooms were cool. The bathroom was too small. But the convenience was incredible. We were able to cross the street for our daughter’s birthday dinner with ease.
- 3/5
We had an event to attend and this hotel is a basic cost effective option. The bed was comfortable and room reasonably clean.
- 5/5
Good
- 2/5
Surprised by the unguarded, open-air, self-parking only fee of 35 USD per night of stay.
- 3/5
Hotel was fine - don't be fooled by "tapestry" - it's a motel that was purchased by the Hilton and the sign changed. No frills pool and the "rooftop patio" left much to be desired - hard to share 1 umbrella with other guests. It was clean and quiet - if you're not looking for fancy, this is your jam.
- 3/5
As a Hilton Honors member I don’t believe the $35 per day parking fee is appropriate. I will not return to this property, it is average at the very best.
- 5/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Nice hotel close to the beach. Very clean, friendly staff!
- 5/5
We have stayed here multiple times and really enjoy it, especially the breakfast
- 5/5
Best hotel in this area that is spacious, clean and very comfortable. Love staying here because it’s convenient to places I want to get around to. Thanks Redondo tapestry!
- 4/5
Visiting friends in the area, so good place to stay. Walking distance to restaurants & shopping. Also felt safe in area. Pool a little small, water cool, but did have a hot tub. Hotel dot com did not mention the $35 daily parking fee, so had a bit of a surprise at checkout. Beds for us were very comfortable. One issue is other guests allowing their room doors to slam shut in the mornings! Uhg! Would stay here again.
- 2/5
The room and bathroom were clean, location itself was great - easily walkable to Redondo. However, would not stay again. Our week and a half long vacation to California ended with two nights in Redondo at over 270 a night. We knew we would need to utilize laundry given three days at Disney and visiting family (which we had planned ahead of time to do at this hotel as it was a listed amenity when booking). The reception staff said they were unable to swap my money for quarters to use the laundry room and to return the next morning. I got the same comment the following afternoon after returning as they advised and ended up opting to use a local laundromat. I was a bit annoyed given the price we paid but understood. The receptionist staff however were rude and unwelcoming. We travel often and have not had a customer service this bad in quite some time. Would strongly recommend re-training the check-in staff to greet guests upon arrival and put cell phones down when communicating with hotel guests.
- 5/5
Overall great
- 5/5
I'll go back and stay again when I'm down there.
- 5/5
The hotel is older, but it has been nicely remodeled. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location is great, with several restaurants within walking distance.
- 2/5
My husband and I booked a two-night stay at this property and on the first night, the room provided had air conditioning that was broken and the room was basically a sauna. The front desk was unable to change rooms because it was nighttime so we ended up not sleeping at the hotel instead on a friends' couch for the night. The front desk staff (Tyrell) said that he would compensate us for the night and the parking as well. In the morning, we were able to change rooms but since we booked and paid in full through Expedia, they were unable to comp us without a case through Expedia. I'd like to escalate this case to management and see about a reimbursement for the trouble of not being able to sleep in our room for the first night. Thank you in advance.
- 4/5
Redondo Beach was great! This hotel was just average. It's a very standard hotel, nothing special, but it has everything you need for your stay, including multiple plugs for charging devices. The beds are comfortable, it's clean, and the rooms exactly as pictured. I really enjoyed the California bowls at the restaurant for breakfast. The location was great, a 10 minute walk to the beach, and the price was right.
- 2/5
Good view but beds were very high to reach by short people that you cannot lay down to enjoy the view
- 5/5
Really enjoyed my stay here! It was clean, bright and within walking distance to the pier and other dining options. There also was a bar with food and starbucks coffee which was convenient in the mornings. There also is a bike rental right across the street which you can take up the strand which is about a 5 minute bike ride away. Loooved the pool and hot tub as well, nice and usually not busy! Would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Location is amazing!
- 5/5
Great rooms, king bed and clean from bathroom to sheets and towels. Always our go to when in Redondo beach. Close to everything.
- 3/5
Our room had a terrible musty smell our entire stay. We immediately informed the management, but nothing was ever said or done to fix or move us. Toilet roll holder was loose. Microwave was so low you had to get on your hands and knees to use it. Window latch broken. For the price paid, was a letdown. For a Hilton brand, didn’t meet expectations.
- 5/5
Very quiet, very comfortable, very clean. The room was great. The site gave an option to pay a fee for daily breakfast, but no one seemed to know about it or what it entailed. Odd. People at the front desk did not know and were surprised when I asked about it. However, the people behind the bar who ordered the food and brought it out were extremely accommodating and kind.
- 5/5
Your bicycles should be loaners, like most places.
- 3/5
Looked better online then it is in person
- 3/5
The pictures made this seem like a more luxurious hotel than it is. It is not right next to the beach. It was very much a beach vibe hotel, however with tile floors, and a kind of chlorine smell.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel close to the beach and marina. One guy at the counter on Sunday was the most hospitable. Did not like the idea that I was with my husband but since the reservation was in my name they would not honor his Hilton Honors number. Also did not like we only got two bottles of water, the rest of the stay we had to buy bottles. Screen door came off and nonfunctional.
- 4/5
Staff was not rude, but they also were not friendly. Room was very clean and we loved that we could walk to fisherman‘s wharf and the beach. The area was quiet and relaxing! We would definitely return!
- 5/5
Checking in was easy, loved the proximity to the beach
- 4/5
Very clean hotel, great customer service and it’s close near the beach and boats and stores and food places even to be walking around exploring!
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, room was nice and clean.
- 3/5
I used this property as I prepared for my cruise leaving out of Long Beach. The area is great for beach goers, and bike riders. The restaurant onsite was nice as well as the pier. Unfortunately I am hot naturally and was unable to adjust the temperature in my room. Not sure if the unit to the hotel was working properly but I put it on 68 and the temperature in the room never cooled down. Also the water pressure was not great. My honest opinion is the shower heads need to cleaned or replaced. Overall the hotel served its purpose for an overnight stay. Once I laid down, the bed was nice and the pillows fluffy.
- 4/5
It was nice and quiet and tidy. Easy walk to restaurants
- 4/5
It is small and located near the shore.
- 5/5
Excellent location; pool and spa were in great condition; room was clean, good size, and had Starbucks coffee. No breakfast included and happy hour was minimal.
- 5/5
It was great.
- 4/5
This is a beautifully placed hotel, 2nd time staying, but they are on the verge of being very outdated in the rooms where the price is a bit much. Everything seems to leak, or is not working well. Examples: Shower system sprays water everywhere or toilet seat not secured, or AC smelling a bit off. There was a sign about beds being replaced, we weren’t so fortunate to get a room with one done yet. Our mattress was worn out. Was doubled charged parking but staff is always very kind and helpful. Update this place!!
- 5/5
This is our go to when we are in the area. It’s convenient and close to so many dining options. We have never been disappointed with our rooms, cute lobby with bar and Starbucks.
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay. Will stay again.
- 4/5
We didn’t have breakfast there once. It seems complicated. Someone came in shouting and stole chips and what have you and left cursing in the front of our family and kids. The police was called and we didn’t go to the pool later that day for that particular reason. It would help to security in the hotel. Other than that, the manager was nice.
- 4/5
THE PROPERTY WAS CLEAN INSIDE AND OUT. HOWEVER, THE STAFF WAS NOT TOO KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT THE LOCAL CUISINE. I FOUND A JOLLY RANCHER WRAPPER UNDER MY BED. I DID NOT EAT JOLLY RANCHERS. THE BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE AND THE ROOMS WERE NICE AND CHILLY FOR BEDTIME.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice. It was clean and perfect location.
- 4/5
BarCafe
- 5/5
I’ll book this hotel again !
- 4/5
Hotel is in excellent location, however it is substandard as a Tapestry collection hotel due to its outdated room layout, the reception staff is not very friendly and unhelpful.
- 5/5
Beautiful lobby. Location was close to many restaurants and the Redondo Pier
- 5/5
Excellent stay with numerous restaurants around beach environment. I would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Nickle and dimed over water bottles with HIlton rewards. Just annoyin
- 4/5
It was adequate for our needs. I paid extra for a marina view room, which turned to be across a noisy street and not much of a view, mainly a parking lot & bigger hotel that obstructed any views of marina or harbor. It was rather misleading.
- 5/5
The room was lovely, the beds were super comfortable. two complaints: $35 per day for parking seems excessive. the AC unit in our room was encased in a wooden box, which made it very aesthetic, but it never fully cooled the room. if the outside temperatura had been higher we would have had a lousy night.
- 2/5
Hotel was fair, but the person who checked us in looked like she had the worst life ever. Completely unfriendly and unhelpful.
- 5/5
Great day, clean value, easy to walk to the beach Marina and the Redondo strip where there’s plenty of restaurants, all at a good value compared to the prices around it
- 3/5
Really was no amenities, most hotels offer free coffee, and free breakfast. This hotel did not offer any of that.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay. The room had a little bit of a musty smell, but it was clean. You can tell the building is a little dated with some things, but nothing the over the top.
- 5/5
Great experiences
- 4/5
Quiet hotel ..
- 3/5
The hotel was fine they need better security, my car and room were broken into, I had to change rooms
- 2/5
This is an old school hotel that badly needs updating. Corridors and rooms are very mildewy smelling. Our room had a sewer backup/smell every time the faucet or shower was used. Pretty nauseating. The beds were pretty comfortable and nice linens though. The coffee pot is not a Keurig - just some old device that you pour water into and put the coffee packet it in. Pretty expensive for the condition of the hotel!
- 5/5
海が見えてゆっくり出来ました!
- 4/5
Great location, walkable to Redondo and Hermosa Beach areas, friendly staff
- 5/5
Close to redondo beach pier
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
Parking prices are way too high. Bed was extremely comfortable. Towels were great
- 4/5
Beautiful view from the 3rd floor.
- 5/5
We needed a win when we showed up at this great hotel, and they delivered!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again!
- 3/5
Staff were friendly and helpful. By the way, park by the surf shop 1 block up for free.
- 5/5
Great shower
- 5/5
Great location close to many of the popular Redondo Beach attractions.
- 5/5
Great place to stay at
- 5/5
Great location.
- 5/5
Our new favorite!
- 5/5
Very quiet, clean and accommodating.
- 5/5
Many thanks, Nicole Stephens
- 1/5
TV’s didn’t work for 3 days ,dirty cloths from previous guest in room. Continental breakfast paid didn’t exist
- 5/5
Great location. Starbucks should open earlier than 7am
- 2/5
Had to wait outside to be let in, room was musty and toilet seat was delaminating. Nice location
- 4/5
it was great
- 5/5
Great hotel next to pier in Redondo Beach
- 5/5
My only complaint was no TV service except streaming.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and when they changed the bed linen they did a wonderful job
- 4/5
Loved my stay here very cozy vibes .
- 4/5
Centrally located within walking distance of pier and restaurants on the water and marina. Nice coffee seating area inside the lobby, Enjoyed being at the start of the annual Redondo Beach Super Bowl 10 K run.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
It was a great place to stay. Perfectly located and handled a lot of people as we had at least 50 people in town for an event.
- 5/5
Great location, clean, employees were welcoming
- 5/5
Very quiet
- 5/5
Perfect for families and those looking for a casual vacation hotel. Upper class vibes, but not posh. Suitable for all types of people. I would consider staying here again. Parking is an additional $25 per night. Property requires your keyed access after 10pm. Bar restaurant on site. Nice large comfy rooms with plenty of seating. Side note: Don't allow them to give you a room next to the ice machines. People get ice all hours of the night. And staff seem to enjoy filling up ice buckets between 6-7am. Other than that, all good. Lol
- 1/5
The check-in person did not know where the room was relative to entrances. She indicated that it was in the middle of the hotel. It was actually at the end of the of the hotel. She did not even know that the room was on the second floor.
- 5/5
Beautiful view!
- 5/5
Altogether a very pleasant experience! Happy to find a small fridge and a microwave in my room... Only wished the weather was warmer so I could have swum in the pool!
- 4/5
Room was fine but extra costs made it not so nice.
- 5/5
Great location. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
A nice stay near the Redondo Beach marina. Close to several good seafood restaurants and a good view of the Pacific
- 3/5
It was just ok
- 5/5
Just love Tapestry
- 2/5
The room had a bad moldy smell, and the view ... well, there was no view, and they charged $25.00 to park on their property! Why? I paid $330.00 for one night, and on top of that, there was not even a continental breakfast on the house; pay for your breakfast. For what they charge a night, they should have clean-smelling rooms and don't charge for parking!!! And Free Breakfast!Too expensive for nothing.
- 3/5
Room was musty. I expected more for the price. Lobby and gym were good though.
