Room was a big and clean. Pool was lovley Blackout curtains far from window so the very lit parking lot lights lit the room. Shower itself was in need of repair and water temp was uncontrollable

They were remodeling and only inconvenience was getting new tv to get reconnected and easily done over phone… Hot water needed a little regulating but didn’t interfere with having a good shower just dialed to cold and it was warm and felt good pressure… Pool area clean and even had a barbeque you could use very clean.

The desk woman was very nice and responsive. She was the best part of the hotel. The furniture and bedding was new. The room clearly had been hastily "redone" - in the parking lot were mounds and mounds of discarded furniture. The fridge was not plugged in. The outlets did not have outlet protectors-just open. The TV was difficult to get to work. The shower was unfinished and had a random bench. The outlets were not installed in easily accessible places. It was obvious someone wanted to remodel but cut corners, and did it as cheap and quick as possible.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. The location of the hotel was very convenient. Everything was nearby or a ten minute drive which wasn’t too bad for us. Our room floor had a cracked dent next the bed. The sheets were a little stained. Our bathroom door was weird. We had to push it towards the hinges in order for it to close. On our last night, we did encounter a giant cockroach but it was the cockroach we encountered or saw through our stay. Our hot water took forever to cool down so we could shower. It made our room very steamy. After everything, the cockroach is was what really put us on edge because we were paranoid of bugs but thankfully it was just that one.

We were surprised that everything was updated, clean, and comfortable. One thing I really liked about the room was that everything smelled wonderful. The room, the sheets, and the front office. We don’t pass through Redding often but if we ever do again we will definitely revisit. When we travel we always stay at Wyndham hotels. Their standards are always higher than most hotels that offer rooms at this price point.

I stayed there more times then I can remember with no problems then I had a late night and had my family and wanted to rent a room because my home is over an hour away, when I got there they told me I was a local and can't rent a room. I never left a mess or had issues with anyone. Crazy to lose a good customer like that

Hotel was nice on the outside my room had dirty walls missing pieces of flooring the TV remote had now backing just batteries exposed this morning went to take a shower and the water would not come on. I did get the front desk know all of this when I checked out

Not ideal, check into the room and there is a large smeared dead bug on the pillow, okay it happens. Then head to the restroom, no TP. No extra TP either. Hmm. Okay, Back to the bed and sit down and observe a bunch of boogers on the wall...and the side of the bed has dirty bodily fluids on it.. Everywhere I looked was frankly so dirty I couldn't comfortably lay down in here. Cut fingernails too...YUCK! Went to front desk and brought it to their attention and asked for a refund because I was pretty disgusted. Told not an often they don't offer refunds "its against policy". Asked to show us to another room so we agreed. The other room was slightly cleaner but by no means "clean" by average standards. Usually can count on a Travelodge for a clean, basic room but this fell REALLY short. Not recommended and I have a lot of travel experience- this isn't the place to book at.

There is NO breakfast. The listing said there was. There were also dead gnats around all the drains in the morning. $30 per pet per night negates any cost savings

We have stayed here previously and had the same great experience this time! Room is great, they take pets, and the front staff were so helpful and kind!

The room was surprisingly big, no wait for check in. Location has pool, room has desk, table with chairs, TV and bathtub, vanity mirror.

Neighborhood was sketchy but I felt safe there and my car was right by my room. Room was nice. Bathroom shower area could use a deep cleaning. Grout was very dirty or stained. Bed has a thin metal base that makes it impossible to sit on the bed without it making a very loud noise. The people above me were very very noisy for hours. Staff should be aware of extra loud people.

The staff was amazing.

Breakfast wasn't included since they remodeled. The staff were wonderful ans was the bed. The room was on an upper floor and I couldn't handle the climb but the clerk was able to fin me a lower floor room. I slept like a baby on the thick mattress.

Couldn't get onto WiFi, noisy, coffeemaker didn't work.

When I reserved the room, it said it came with a continental breakfast and also that it was pet friendly. I was informed when we got there that the breakfast was canceled back in November and there was no designated place for dogs. Plus there was to be free Wi-Fi and we were told that just a few days earlier they changed it to where you had to sign up and sign an agreement in order to get Wi-Fi. Not happy.

Cons: Room is outdated despite the new renovations that was mentioned in other reviews (wall stains, painted peeling off, water leak behind sink, ant, bathroom fan doesnt work. Very dusty clock on nightstand, 2 dingy pillow cases. Overall if you're in a pinch and need something for 1 night this will do. Cons

The oven in room 254 was broken. And then the rains came and there was a leak in the roof. The poor girl at the desk was doing everything she could moved us to a smaller room but at that point all I cared about was sleep.

We had a super late check-in due to trip taking longer than expected and the front desk staff were super helpful & friendly. The room was clean & nicely setup. Since we came in so late the Front Desk allowed us to do a late check out for no additional charge. I would definitely stay there again.

The lady at the front desk was very kind, she was great but the room was dirty. tloors were sticky, bathroom was not clean. It didn't not appear that they had swept or mopped. There were alot of dirty spots on the floors.

Have you ever felt scammed ? That’s exactly what my / family experience of only a few hours were at the TravelLodge Redding , and I have the pictures to prove it ! Blood on the bedsheet, cracks in the floor, ring of dirt in the toilet bowl, water on floor from a leaking refrigerator.. and the list goes on .. We spent close to (2) hours on the phone with Expedia to help us out of this predicament, and refund was contingent on (an unseen) property manager who only gave back half the refund ! It’s our opinion that this locations reviews are exaggerated, and wouldn’t recommend a stay, there .

The three bed suite was great for our family. We enjoyed the hot breakfast. There was a small issue with the toilet handle that we reported at check out and the front desk wrote it down and said they would take care of it.

Sunny greeted us with grace & charm. My sister & I enjoyed the size of the room we booked. It is a very easy place to get to, that I plan to stop in the next time I pass through.

The shawer was not good difficult too use. There was ants on the floor in barthroom . The staff said the pool was heated, but it was cold. Brekfast was good.

Poor choice of location which was our fault. Hotel is in need of some updates. Noisy AC unit, hard pillows and noisy guests above made sleeping a little challenging.

Manager was great!!! Room was good! Some cracked tiles on the floor and I wouldn’t call the tub deep. But overall we enjoyed our stay!!!

As we checked in around 7pm and got our first room ( foreshadowing) we found hairs in the beds We asked to change and Room#2 reeked of sour milk , back to the front desk 😩 Room #3 also had hairs in the “ freshly “ maid bed and floor was scuffed and dirty .. room #4 had the Sam issue but by them were were beat , cleans up and slept the night ! In the morning we asked to leave and due to our experience cancel the rest of the stay! The hotel would Not refund up the 2 nights we did not stay !! ( see pics from all 4 rooms ) Find other accommodation!!

The lady I spoke with on the phone was nice and when I checked in the man was rude and told me I was late for for check in and said I was a no show when I already paid in advance… the room was dirty and the sheets had stains and towels all had stains as well, the walls were all chipped paint and the floor boards looked like they have never been cleaned . I was not happy at all with our stay. I will never stay there again!

The property itself was fine and the included breakfast was a nice little bonus (not continental but waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal and yogurt). And the front desk staff were really friendly and efficient. However, the room itself felt like it hadn’t had an update in 30 years. There was some type of wiring hanging off the wall (maybe an old outlet??), the very dated sofa had tears in the fabric, the beds were hard and uncomfortable, and there was no remote for the TV. It felt much more like a Motel 6 than a Wyndham Travel Lodge.

I recommend this as a quiet stop off of 5.

Room I had had a bad odor. Bedding seemed clean ezcept for a stair on bedcover. The worst part was the toilet which had not been cleaned.

Rooms should be inspected more often. I had to mention maintenance issues they should be fixing. The chair cut me their only answer was remove the chair not even a swap out.

Clean and it was okay. My husband woke up with bites on his side possible bed bugs no one was at the front desk so I was unable to report it. Also there was someone playing loud music after midnight which made it difficult to sleep.

The room seemed clean and it was spacious. The beds were comfortable. There was a big (hopefully) stain on the bed skirt and while there were 2 clothing irons, there was no coffee maker or coffee, which I thought was strange. I would also suggest a moveable stool for the roll in shower in the wet bathroom for personal items. Thank you!

Nice quiet and comfortable.

Our room was difficult to enter due to a faulty door knob/jam. Bed was so worn we could feel the springs beneath the mattress. It also rolled when we leaned against the bed board. I had to put magazines against the wheels. The bathroom fan was metal on metal grinding and no one was available to fix it. My wife tested the floor and the paper towel came back thick with black grime.

This place was wonderful!!!! Clean. Comfortable. Laid back. The staff was awesome and so friendly and generous. The rooms were clean and comfortable as well. Breakfast was great. My favorite part of this hotel is that it's not the fanciest in the world, with lots of "bells and whistles", but it feels like you're on vacation at Granny's house. Safe and comfy. We left fat and happy. 😊

The front desk staff is great, and so nice! The guy, i think his name is Alex, is such a nice guy! The bed comforts are white! Which i love. But can we all talk about the REAL manager, Mr. Bobby Socks!🐾🐈‍⬛️. The adorable tuxedo cat that roams the front desk. He's very welcoming and completely adorable🐈‍⬛️❤️

Beds were clean and comfortable. Laminate floor was flithy! We realized the floor was turning our feet and socks black. Rest of the room looked clean but it made me wonder. Breakfast was good. Kids loved the pool. As we were going to bed we realized the hide a bed wasnt made up and there were no sheets in the room.

it is not 5 star so minor problem didn't bother us. Like its a challenge to open the door or no toilet paper holder. The room was way bigger than the other hotel/inn with same price in the area. My 2 small dogs were able to play around. Its clean, quiet, safe, convenient and good continental breakfast... we are definitely staying here again.

The stay itself was rather nice, although our bathroom door handle was practically falling off. My main complaint is that I accidentally left behind a very special flask, and the front desk staff refused to answer the phone for days. I eventually got a hold of them, and it seems as though one of the staff has stolen it, considering their response is that the flask is gone. I know for a fact it was left in the (impressively full sized) refrigerator in my room, so either the fridge was not cleaned and the next guest stole it, or more likely, the cleaning staff decided to be dishonest and keep it for themselves.

The washroom was not cleaned, and during our stay, the toilet flush didn’t work, which caused a lot of inconvenience. Our child fell sick due to the poor hygiene in the room. Please be cautious when booking.

Dirtiest room ever , bathroom light didn’t work. Inside fridge there were still left over pizza, chipotle from previous people, floor was sticking to feet, stove top wasn’t cleaned well. We did late check in at 2am between the drive so had to adjust with whatever we got.

I chose this hotel for convenience and price - it is actually quite nice with an excellent pizza place just two doors away. The lady at the front desk (Alex) is wonderful! She made sure I had a good, quiet room that was ready to go.

Your review and rating of this hotel wss inaccurate. Our room was filthy! The bathmat gor the shower looked like it wasnt washed. Bathroom sink didnt drain. You need to do more research before you give such a high rating gor a hotel.

The Travelodge was easy to find and the accommodations were sufficient. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good. Good hotel for the price while traveling I-5. We got a room on the 2nd floor and found that there weren’t any elevators, so had to haul all of our gear up the stairs.

Traveler from out of town. The area felt unsafe. The towels were filthy. You could see dirt on them. The grounds are old and unkept. Had it I see the place before booking, I would not have stayed.

And well maintained. Each room has it's separate entrance to the outside. Therefore, making the road noise more noticeable. The staff were friendly and breakfast was basic. Eggs, sausage patties, bagels, cream cheese, jam, butter, waffles, syrup, cold cereal, small oranges, yogurt, milk, orange juice. And packets of prepackaged oatmeal also, coffee and hot water. No peanut butter, no dairy-free beverages for cereal or coffee, or gluten-free options.

I was welcome by a really nice lady named Sunny and she was amazing. I reserved a suite and noticed there was not a coffee pot and found out that all the coffee pots have been removed over a year ago, which was the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard. For this reason, I would never stay there again I think it’s terrible even in a suite that you cannot have a coffee maker And the company really needs to take a good look at this and change their policy. The room wasn’t cleaned. Well there was a condiment container of jam next to the toilet. The hood of the stove wasn’t cleaned, and it was full of debris. Other than that, the bed was comfortable, but the usb charger in the room did not work.

I think me and my friend got some bug bites from the bed we were sharing, but i am not sure of bed bugs as there are other bugs in that part of california as well. Maybe inspecting the beds would be useful.

Room was clean, large, and comfortable. Hot breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Pool area looked very inviting tho we didn’t have time to use the enjoy it. The people had some unique and lovely plants both in the lobby and outside. The location was safe and convenient. A very pleasant stay and good value.

The hotel had a convenient location and easy check in. The room was bigger than we expected and had everything basic that we needed. Simple and clean no frills hotel. It was great for a quick one-night on a road trip. They are dog friendly and allow pets, which is nice. However, they don't have anywhere to potty the dogs. And most of that block doesn't have grass either so its inconvenient to find a place. A lot of the area around the hotel also has piles of dog waste, Im assuming because they don't really supply a place to take them. Overall a decent stay, but wouldn't recommend to someone with a dog.

This was the worse experience ever. Pulled up with the desk clerk yelling to me not to pull into their parking lot as I was in a UHaul truck. Then she was locked out of the office, had to ask someone to break in to unlock the door. Then when we went in to check in she said we would have to park the truck a block away on a very busy road with homeless people walking around. When I asked if they would claim responsibility for my truck I’d anything happened she said no.. and proceeded to tell me fine don’t stay here, I’ll sell that room in 5minutes & was very rude. She was absolutely the rudest person I’ve ever dealt with.

The room was close to a family with small children & I was awakened by loud conversation between the adults & a crying toddler after midnight.

The staff seem very friendly. The room is clean but the bed is old and very firm. I like firm but this is too much! Writing this befor breakfast so we’ll see how that is. I’m sure it’s the regular stuff. Does have a cute little pool.

I believe the motel was either nearly or completely full the night of our stay. Despite that we never heard any exterior noises or interior thumping and bumping. We really needed and good night sleep and we certainly got that!

The continental breakfast was really really good. Eggs, sausage pattys, bagels and cream cheese, yogurt, cold cereal, and make your own waffles in a waffle maker. We will be back soon.

My stay at the hotel would of been fine if they didnt charge my card twice for my stay i really didn't want to deal with that headache during my trip and the nat problem was so bad at night they infested my room while i was gone they must of made they're way in the room because the weather strip was worm down in the door way they must of seen the light through the crack and that must of drew them into my room there was so many of them i couldn't sleep for awhile it made me so itchy i ended up switching room besides all that my stay was fine

This is my new "go to" when visiting of traveling through Redding. This is my second stay this year. The staff makes you feel at home, the location is perfect. The property feels safe. The housekeepers do an amazing job. There is breakfast in the morning that has everything that you will need to get the day going. I adore the front desk staff, especially the evening person. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable. I will certainly be back!!!

The price was right for the area and the general condition was very good. But the TV was too small for the room and the volume could not be increased enough to hear it from the bed which was the only spot available for viewing. My browser would not allow internet connection over security issues. Otherwise a very nice stay.

Rooms are basic but clean.Hot breakfast is also basic but good enough to start the day and the dining area is clean and spacious. But the one thing that really stood out for us was how friendly and accommodating the staff were. We checked in late around 10pm, we were tired from a very long drive, and there were 2 groups of people also checking in before us, the lady at the front desk was fast & efficient and yet was very welcoming as she chatted a bit with each group while doing the check-ins. I think her name is Sunny and it set the tone for our stay. Area is quiet, there’s not much around within the immediate vicinity, but we stayed in this hotel to explore Redding and Shasta area and I think it’s pretty good location. Check out was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again.

I was given a room and the toilet was not working. Then I was given a different room, as soon as we walked in it smelled like smoke and the smoke detector alarm was covered with plastic. The bed also was covered in hair. I would not recommend.
