Room was cold and uncomfortable, white lighting aggressive. If you must stay here because of central location: make sure you ASK for an upstairs room with a working ac or heat unit. I was in unheatable room on ground level and - no exaggeration - person on top floor was up all night walking back and forth and knocking stuff over

The room had not been cleaned, evident by the many cockroaches that were dead and scattered around the room. There was also one living cockroach we had to trap under a cup. We didn’t stay

Rooms were very hot and even after running noisy ac for a good while they were still uncomfortable. No bed side lights, just very bright overhead lighting. Overall it felt like staying in a prison cell.

Staff was very friendly. I can tell they are trying to keep up with building as it looked like new paint on the walls in the room and bathroom the sink was up to date. However, pillow cases were dirty/stained. A lot of creepy men that stayed there one who asked to “bum a ride off of me” and stated he had an ankle bracelet on. He kept staring at me from above the balcony and then when he asked me he was on the bottom floor near my room for the ride that night after I got back from my day. I said No and called front desk. The front desk was nice enough to do a walk around the premises and talked to him. I felt better after but kept hearing noise and then At 3 AM I heard a man yelling and angry from the back of the Inn. Didn’t realize there was a back alleyway behind the Inn. Couple other men kept staring at me while I was leaving. One blatantly stood from the door of his room with a blank expression. I wanted to leave that night but it was non refundable. So instead I prayed for protection over myself and my room. Needless to say I scurtted out of there that early morning. Next time I’ll opt in to paying for a nicer, safer stay at a hotel.

Considering what the room rate was, the lock om the door should have worked, the curtains could have fit the window. The overall condition of the room was shabby but mosy clean.

Don’t be fooled by the outside, loved the updated bathroom. The door needs to be remodeled because it looks like you can definitely kick the door in. Bed needs to be changed for better comfort. The curtains needs to be changed because it was so sheer that you can see the outside. The outside looks trashy and old. A new paint job will surely do. And weird people/ car be parking in the lot. Wished it was in a better looking area. We liked our stay.

Absolute worst service. Spent $180 and they were knocking on our door and trying to get us out. The front desk lady actually walked in. Lucky I didn’t call the cops.

Close parking good, rooms were beyond hot took hours to cool off, got 2 rooms for me and my fire crew, to had trouble getting into 3 different rooms for me, only nice thing was the bathrooms were remodeled

No one at the office till after 5 PM, she had another job. I never saw them. A shady looking character called her and then let me in a room, my key wouldn’t work I had to go find him to let me in and out of the room. He was in a motel room. Do Not Use This Motel it isn’t safe

Stayed here for one night as a stopover through Redding. Had to request a different room due to first the toilet leaked upon flushing and was not sanitary. Second room the beds were hard and second bed was very unstable. Put drinks in fridge only to retrieve in morning and find out the dam thing wasn’t even plugged in so they were not cold. Would not recommend for the price staying here.

We never even got to stay there we need a refund been trying to contact you guys because my car was charged and travel in is saying that they are not booking online so someone needs to contact me they said they were going to contact you as well and they were explicitly rude when we called the prior and asked if they took online exceptions and if there was a deposit they lied

This is an older hotel, however i could not have asked for a more comfortable stay. The bed was great, shower very clean, everything was fine. You can tell the owners put a lot of effort into making this place comfortable and homey. I was unable to get any breakfast d/t the coronavirus outbreak but that was not a major disappointment. I would definitely recommend this place to stay!

Maintainance is good though it is a some how old one and the size of the rooms are ok for family.The owner of the property is patient enough to help on any thing.That is a good thing i observed.Location wise this is a good place.

It appears that the owners are updating and restoring an old motel with success. There is more to do, as of Nov 2019. All things considered, I'd stay there again; if for no other reason than the value. But, be advised, it's located in a "sketch" part of town (according to local relatives.)

too expensive for such a tiny space. felt claustrophobic and I am well accustomed to small spaces. this one was just too small and for the price it was offensive. sure, it was clean inside I guess. if you don't count bed bugs. thank god I only saw one of them but it was there, no mistake. I know a bed bug when I see one. the bed was terrible, a "full" size mattress that nearly used the whole space of the room! the springs hurt my back, one of the lowest quality beds I've slept on in years. better off at motel 6, and I despise motel 6. No need to get gouged on extra money because they put paint on the outside and pretend to be a quality hotel. construction noise from early am. always "renovations" at these types of hotels but never anything good. How about a quality mattress? Bathroom window opened up to an alley with passerby's and traffic. If you don't close the window then you are seen 'doing your business' by anyone walking past. Where do these people get off gouging customers under false pretense of a tolerable condition? The motel business is one of the worst on the west coast with always exorbitant and unreasonable cost for very poor accommodations. Hey, as long as the parking lot looks good you can take the money! I despise bud bugs and would strongly recommend against staying at this motel. This place is okay, but not exactly a great deal (especially if you have more than one person per room) and isn't in the best location. Also there are not fitted sheets on the beds which means that several times in the night they slip off and you find yourself laying directly on the mattress which isn't pleasant.

It was so hot in the room that it was unbearable. The AC unit is old, and the staff of the hotel should have already turned on the AC. It took 2 hours to coll it down and sleep.

Clerk give me a small rm than expected. It is cozy & comfortable bed has one table night stand. Not many outlet. Very cute place like a studio. I love the big shower have 3 shelves too corners. I love the coffee maker, microwave, fridge rm. Good cable get tomeatch my tv shows.

Great getaway for business. Didn't turn on the TV, but had the AC on the whole time we were in the room. Lots of excellent and inexpensive places to eat nearby, so, glad we had the fridge and microwave, but didn't really use them. Would give it 5 stars, except the AC was noisy, the desk (which was situated in a corner of the room where the staff called the closet) had no lamp, and we had to ask for toilet paper, even though the maid had been there earlier. My friend loved the place, so we give it 4 stars.

I had to wear sandles in the shower as it was that gross. By 3:30 the room still wasn't cleaned. Gave up on that. Part of the ceiling was crumbing off on to the bed. Room looks more like a prison cell then a hotel that should be charging $150 tonight. On top of that the owner waited for me at my door to tell me she had to charge me more because there were 2 of us even though we both stood in front of her when we checked in and that she would call us and have us remove our vehicle from the property if it was to busy. The parking lot is clearly not to code as vehicles were blocked in all night. Even a pizza delivery guy that delivered to another room told us we shouldn't be outside cause it's the worst part of town. The lobby smells horrible and you have to pay for ice. The owner also made a woman after I checked in pay a deposit on the room on top of the normal rate but not me due to her being black. This place is absolutely ridiculous. The bright side to this was Hotels.com customer service was very helpful and got me setup somewhere else. I am writing this review from a very pleasant hotel.

The Travel Inn motel was really super awesome the only drawback is they don't like you using hotels.com pay for the hotel they only like it when you come and pay cash upfront that's the only drawback other than that the Travel Inn is really awesome place to be they're very wonderful kind caring people I'm very loving

You know, when you find a deal that's probably too good to be true it probably is. However, not in this case. Granted, area was a little run down, but I wasn't looking for area. I was greeted by who I assume is the owner. He met me when I pulled up with a smile. This made my arrival pleasant from driving 200 miles after being with my ailing father. Check in took maybe five minutes. The room was clean...and I mean clean. The bed was comfortable...for a hotel bed. Shower and bath were clean as well. I slept very well. Then, a little surprise when I was leaving. It is smack dab in a neighborhood with food places and a Dutch Bros! Score! Anyway, hopefully they keep their prices the same because you definitely leave feeling like you found a deal.

You cannot beat this place for the price. In a great centralized location, managers were great and the look of the place was clean and fun. Loved it.

Come to the room around 12 am walk in and it was never been clean still a mess from previous Tennant. I don't recommend to stay in this hotels

Wonderful find! A surprising gem....i did not expect an economy 2 star motel to be this pleasant a stay! Super clean. Modern renovated room. Wonderful mid city location next to Sacramento river. Very pleasant staff. We will return to Value Inn Whenever traveling to Redding.

The building is older, but the room itself is decent. Beds were comfortable. Towels were decent. The front desk staff was so nice and enjoyable to work with. I would stay again.

The building is older, but the room itself is decent. Beds were comfortable. Towels were decent. The front desk staff was so nice and enjoyable to work with. I would stay again.

While booking the room, by mistake, I chose 1 guest, instead of 2. The person checking me in said this is not ok, even though the price of the room for 1/2 people is the same. He asked me to pay $30 in cash, and since it was late at night, we had no other option but to do so.

Not happy I paid for a queen size bed and got a double. Bathroom door was very dirty on the backside. Other then that it was ok.

Accidentally booked a smoking room but was upgraded for free to a non-smoking Suite. The room was very clean and had modern amenities. Did not spend much time in the surrounding area but I assume it will get better once the Rams stadium is built

Hotel has nice rooms with hardwood floors, clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Check in was easy.

The manager was very nice and recommended me to some places to visit. I’m glad he told me because we went to each place like the McArthur Burney Falls and crater lake! Lovely places!

Very hard bed!!! Dated but clean. Carpet scrap covering construction work in closet. Floor of shower had adhesive all over, making it look dirty

The air conditioner was to height to reach and it was to noise won’t stay there again because of that.

There's a $9.00 charge for a second person, which is not the industry standard. I chose to pay the fee separately, the manager also charged me for her card fee, so I had to pay $10.01 on top of the room price. Management seemed very intrusive, and I felt like I had no privacy. Additionally the rooms are very small, cheap and not particularly comfortable. The floors were unever to the extent it made it difficult to open the fridge and drawers. The newly renovated bathroom was done extremely poorly, including sharp and uneven tiles, a dark shower, and large holes in the ceiling. The parking lot has super small spots with some really horrible angles. On the up side the bed was fine, it was quiet and dark. I would not recommend staying there for more than a nap.

Room was clean and quiet enough. Stayed for one night. Bathroom is very small and tight. Not terrible for a cheap hotel.

There were a lot of dark curly body hairs inside the bed sheets. I tried to contact the front desk to have the sheets changed but nobody came to the front to speak with me. I was so tired I ended up throwing a blanket over the top of the mattress and sleeping on top of it. Everything else was fine, and things looked new, but I was really grossed out about the inside of the bed. If the sheets were changed then the comforter must be really dirty and getting the new sheets dirty.

This hotel seems to be going through a lot of renovative improvements. Each room seems unique with patterns, styles, modern bathroom fixtures and super-soft sheets! My only complaint is that the A/C-heater unit is still an old school insert in the wall that didn’t work very well. Otherwise, this was a nice place to stay.

The motel is older. We booked it an hour before our stay, so our arrival was later in the evening. The owner was very nice and even recommended a restaurant in the area. The room is dated. There was a carpet patch that would come up if you stepped on it. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom window looked out into an alley. Our window wasn't latched all the way when we got the room. I did latch it but that bothered me. For the money it was good. Not horrible but not great.
