Our stay at the Super 8 in Redding was just ok. Room was fine. Basic but did the job ok. For some reason the A/C didn't have a fan option. Just A/C on my, so we couldn't get air flow consistently. Also the 'breakfast' was pretty sad. They had a sign that said they had to cut back their breakfast due to health regulations. But it just seemed more so they could save themselves some money. They didn't even have any toast or bagels. That is pretty standard everywhere. Just an ok stay.

It was in a good area, the staff was really friendly and helpful. Couldn't have asked for a better spot for the price. Its nothing like you would expect from a super 8. Redding is such a nice area it was great.

The property was very basic and very clean. Pool was excellent. No alarm clocks in the rooms. No lamps or radios with USB ports for charging electronics. Coffee was hot and available 24 hours.

My room was quite clean and stayed that way through out my stay (5 nights). The staff did a great job!!

Room was clean and tidy but the air conditioning was loud. The lighting was also not the best in the room, and in the evening the wifi was SUPER slow.

The rooms look old and outdated but were clean and stocked. Air conditioners are old and noisy. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Thomas checked us in and helped us find a room that better suited our needs and had a quieter air conditioner. Breakfast was blah, coffee was super weak and they just have some cereal, oatmeal, yogurt or banana. Overall good for the price and if you just need a place to sleep.

I greatly appreciated that I arrived early morning and the receptionist arranged for me to stay in a room which had already been cleaned. The location was good in being so close to shops and restaurants. The room was very spacious and clean. There could be more choice for breakfast items. There was nothing which I disliked

I was very pleased with room, clean, and breakfast. Having breakfast there helped me to get to the business meeting on time. The room is a good size and had all that I needed.

No issues with the property itself and the staff was great. The location of the city of Redding. There were so many ticks by the gravel area along the side of the property. I didn’t realize Redding had such a tick problem. The ticks caused some stress during the stay but the room was nice and the staff were great.

It was clean, the rooms contained a microwave and refrigerator which was nice. The air conditioner worked well the bed was comfortable the water pressure in the shower was great. The swimming pool water was clean and the swimming sunbathing area was well maintained. The rooms were small and cramped, the sinks water pressure was extremely low so I ended up using the water from the shower to wash my hands and fill the dog's dish. The free breakfast was just so-so not quite what I expected but it was enough to get something in my stomach.

The room had a terrible smell. The bathroom was gross, and their breakfast.....what breakfast? Never staying here again.

Room was clean. The sink lever was broken, so its bowl cap was closed, resulting in water blockage; thus, I had to go and ask for a screwdriver at the front desk to remove the stuck bowl cap. The toilet had a water scape, running water noice, so I had to turn the water off to avoid the running water noice.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, but the bathroom vanity was kid height. WIFI didn’t work when I first checked in, but the desk clerk came up to fix it. In the morning it was offline again. Breakfast was skimpy.

We had a great stay overall! While the room was a bit dated, it was still very comfortable and clean. The breakfast options could have been better, but the nice pool area made up for it and was a great place to relax. The staff was incredible—friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely return!

The room was so dirty, the floor was covered in hair and dirt, the fan was broken and covered in dirt. We booked this motel for 2 separate nights book-ending a long road trip and we already cancelled the 2nd stay as it was a terrible experience.

AC/heater machine was a little loud and odd sounding every time it kicked on but overall a wonderful stay, clean room, I felt safe, slept really good!

Chipotle, In & Out, McDs., Costco, I-5 and lots more nearby. Bed was clean, comfy, and good linens. Hot shower with nice towels. Hard surface flooring inside my secure room. No smells. Parking lot, hallways, and lobby were dark and dated. Late night check in to just sleep & shower. This is a good, safe budget option for roadtrip.

The room and bathroom were not that clean. The bathroom had rust covering the door frame, the plug was missing from the tub, the floors were not that clean and felt gross walking on, the wall behind the toilet had multiple stains and streak on it, the beds weren’t comfortable and the whole room smelled really bad. We roughed it out since we only stayed one night but we won’t be coming back

The kingsize bed was comfortable, but of course not top of the line. It had a thin metal guard all the way around it that was way too easy to bump against with your foot. It made a boom sound that sounded like thunder. Walls kind of thin. Could hear mumbled talking/snoring in the next room and talking in the hallway. Outer wall well insulated though. The wood surfaces of the tv stand/dresser, the desk, and even the tables in the dining room felt sticky, even though they were clean. Due to old finish? All the people we met that worked there were very nice and courteous. The faucet looked new and was the higher arching kind but it was a little loose so we had to be careful to not bump it. Plenty of hot water at the sink. The shower had a temperature limiter to prevent scalding, so even turned to max it was a warm shower only. It felt just warm enough to me but some might say not warm enough. The continental breakfast is now very minimal. The tv worked well but their Wi-fi was very weak in our room (far from front desk) and strong in the dining room. Overall to save money I would stay here again. Comfort Inn & Suites is much nicer but also costs more.

The furnishings in the rooms (we had two) were dated and poorly maintained. The dresser top finish was sticky, the wood furnitures was peeling slightly, and there was, inexplicably, sheet metal on the sides of the bed the sounded like thunder if you tapped it with your foot. The air was musty so I opened a window, which was OK until the diesel truck 3 feet from my window started up and idled at 5am. The free breakfast consisted mostly of oatmeal packets, some green fruit, and drinks. We took some coffee and drove up to Oregon to get breakfast.

The room was sorta okay - perhaps what I'd expect at that price point. But the "breakfast" wasn't even the standard empty carbs - just granola bars, some whole fruit, and urn coffee. That should never be advertised as "breakfast included".

Parking was easy, not sure if secure? Room was fairly clean, hard lanolium floors, beds not too comfy, mildew in showers a little bit. Overall cleanliness was fairly poor. Pool was shut down for the season. Breakfast had fresh fruit, instant oatmeal and granola/fig bars, thats it.

The facilities were excellent. I paid $40 more for this motel than others in the area because breakfast was included. The breakfast was subpar consisting of granola bars, yoghurt and bags of instant oatmeal. This place would do better to reduce their nightly price and let people go to nearby breakfast places.

Just a couple heads up things about this place: it doesn’t have an elevator so for anyone who uses walking assistance devices or has limited mobility you’ll need to make sure you have a bottom floor room reserved. WiFi is hit or miss if you rely on your hotel/motel having it. Otherwise, the 24hr coffee/tea set up was nice. I’ve maker was reliable and the breakfast choices were just fine. Location is literally RIGHT off the 5 and across from a big shopping center. Would definitely stay here again.

I didn’t want to believe the previous reviews, but they were accurate. There was a dead cockroach in my restroom on the floor, the t.v. did not work. The entire lower floor smelt like cigarette smoke, worse than a casino hotel.

Oh and housekeeper was badly berated by being screamed at my some old woman that worked there that kept going to the door to smoke. That poor girl didn’t deserve to be embarrassed like that! It was so unprofessional and uncomfortable!

This is a quiet motel even though it is close to I-5. It was clean and had a microwave and refrigerator in the room. It has a small breakfast with some juice and fruit primarily with the room. A decent value for a brief stay.

They showed Breakfast (they should have to say when it's a Grab in Go) they had granola bars, yogurt & oatmeal (how can you eat oatmeal on the go) I called to find out what was fof breakfast I asked how can you have oatmeal in grab in go she said thank you & hung up on me

Even though this is a “budget” hotel, I was very pleased with my room. Clean and comfortable.

This place stunk of cigarettes. Both inside and in the parking lot which is odd. There was toothpaste on the bathroom door. Hair was even stuck in the toothpaste. All around I felt very uncomfortable staying here especially as I was traveling on my own. The pictures are very very misleading.

The motel absolutely needs an update. The furniture is scuffed and the room we had smelled very musty, likely do to the AC. On the plus side the AC worked very well and the beds were clean. Though they are VERY firm.

Pool was great and rooms were good. Mattress was not real comfortable but was okay it worked great for a 1 night stay

It’s pretty beat up but what I expected for him a super eight but for 150 bucks a night breakfast is terrible and the room was in very used condition. Missing floor molding needing paint.

The room smell was unbearable. Everything felt gross. The surfaces in the room were sticky. The pool had tons of dirt and hair in it. The breakfast was a few things of yogurt, bruised fruit, and instant oatmeal. Service people were find and the beds were comfy but everything else was disguising. I would never stay here again.

So, this property actually sucks. The staff are all kind. But the motel is not in good condition. My biggest issue was with the Internet though. It doesn't work. Like at all. Apparently it's an issue there that everybody just deals with. But that's unacceptable considering they claim to offer internet... which they do, it just doesn't work. I was there 3 days and only had a couple hours worth of the internet working..

The room stunk, towels were stained and had a terrible odor. There was a weird hole above the shower with a vent covering it. Floor was sticky and dirty.

We had an excellent time! Everyone was absolutely great and helpful, and everything was working. Overall, wonderful stay! Thank you all!

The breakfast is nothing. Literally nothing. Few snacks and hot water apples.

It was ok. Just a place to lay our heads for the night. In and out is across the street so that was good. We wouldn’t stay here again though

Location very convenient: right of I-5, close to Costco, lots of casual dining options close by. Breakfast was really just coffee, tea, fruit , and instant oatmeal.

Good location and we stayed to visit mt. Shasta and Burney falls. Both are at the same 50 miles distance but are in triangle. So, we completed one first and then went to the other next. Overall, nice hotel and good experience

Everything was great. Staff was helpful over every need i had. Room was almost perfect. Only thing which is a personal issue the bed was uncomfortable.

About as good as you get at a budget place. Traveled with my dog and the pet friendly room was fresh. Bed was decent and bathroom was clean. Pool was a nice and In and Out burger across the street was convenient. Perfect for a quick overnight stay

This property is out of date. While the staff was friendly they are working with a property that needs a complete makeover. I get it… it’s a Super 8 but… for the price it is unacceptable. Please update with fresh rooms and air conditioning units that are quiet. Put the shower head at at least 6’ high. Not 4.5’ feet. I mean really? That’s what you do? The free limited breakfast is an embarrassment. UPDATE THIS PLACE ASAP!

Hotel is at a convenient spot. Hotel lobby and room smelled like smoke tho the second time we stayed there. Second floor rooms were cleaner and newer than first floor one it seems. Breakfast only has oatmeal and 2 kinds of juices. Hot tea and coffee are provided. Not much special tbh.

Room was a wee bit small, but good for a one night stay. The bed was comfortable.

This is a 2 star hotel, it’s very basic. Yet they still charge $95 for a room… way overpriced for what you get. There’s better places to stay. I won’t come back.

We like the location, in our room, the surfaces of the furniture was sticky, the advertisement was breakfast, but the breakfast was not a breakfast. It was just snacks, very disappointing.

The bed was comfortable. The room was very dirty. Black mold on the toilet and bathroom floor. No wash cloths or hand towels only two small thin bath towels. Room unclean every where. I don’t like to complain but this was just unacceptable.

I did not like that the shower head was so low that the water hit me in the chest, and I'm only 5'8". The bathroom fan was hanging down and overall the bathroom has seen better days. There were no lights in the middle of the room other than one lamp. The bed was less than comfortable and the pillows were downright terrible. I ended up sleeping without the pillow under my head.

the gentleman at the front desk, checked me in with a great smile. He was professional and friendly, Breakfast was minimal, overall, a nice stay. Right off Hwy 5.

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We wanted to change rooms because of a very noisy AC unit and they accommodated us well.

This is an amazing property. They have an in and out across the road which is at a walking distance. A gas station across the street for mid night munchies. Very clean property.

Should not advertise breakfast. It is granola bars and yogurt. Outside exits should have key entry available so you do not have to go in through the main lobby. Fliors and furniture were sticky

We stopped in to sleep after a lengthy road trip. When I walked into the hotel, the carpet was torn and dirty. The gentleman was nice and helpful, but that’s where the good experience ended. When we entered the room, it seemed clean enough, but in the bathroom, there was dried urine on the back of the toilet (gross!!) The walls were so thin I could hear every sound outside of our door as well as the loud cars on the freeway outside of our window. The toilet ran all night and then wouldn’t flush in the morning. We got out of there as quickly as we could. I will not be staying at a Super 8 again.

The room was cleaned. Just didn’t like the bed frame which is metal but otherwise mattress and pillows were comfy.. Staff were okay but not as friendly… Breakfast included were not what I was expecting but otherwise satisfied with our overnight stay for a stopover for a long drive…Cribs linens smells like dust…

If your looking for a place to sleep then this place works but don't expect much more then that. Quality of beds and room is poor. Very strange bathroom setup. Super small sink right at door. Says it includes breakfast but they had a bowl of fruit, some yogurt and granola bars set out. Coffee is 24 hours. It's ok if your just passing through and need to lay your head down but I had 2 kids and would probably look at another hotel for our next visit.
