Very clean hotel and beds are comfortable would recommend for stay.
- 5/5
Helpful and cheerful staff. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice hi res TV but few movie channels. Overall excellent stay for the price.
- 5/5
I found the bed to be comfortable, the room to be clean, and the pool to be excellent.
- 5/5
Great motel for the price.
- 3/5
Marina at the front desk was very friendly & welcoming. Room was nice and quiet (especially with loud AC). Decent shower pressure, and the two queen beds in main room were comfy. Main problem was the 3rd queen bed was much harder and uncomfortable, and in a little stuffy room where the AC couldn’t reach it. Made bearable with fans though. Thought it was strange the door to that little room couldn’t be closed and had no doorknob. Keep open anyway to make less stuffy. Overall however it met our expectations and was nice to find a place to accommodate our teens not needing to share a bed or get a whole other hotel room. Good deal overall!:)
- 5/5
Beautiful place as always. My second time staying here and it was so peaceful, so quiet and so clean. The owner is such a great person as well. Will definitely stop here again when visiting California.
- 5/5
Centrally located, fresh towels daily.
- 5/5
What a nice hotel! Gentleman at the desk very kind and helpful! Bed very comfy. Room was very clean. Will definitely stay again next time we are in Redding. Very easy to find, right off the freeway. The restaurant next door was excellent.
- 5/5
Was very clean and staff was great at helping me have a easy check in and check out

- 5/5
This is a very good hotel.Clean rooms, big pool, easy parking and a great location.Definitely would stay here again.
- 4/5
Pillows were horrible and the beds were hard as a rock. Other than that was very clean.
- 5/5
The staff was nice and very helpful.
- 5/5
Location is great but no breakfast
- 3/5
Fine for price and quick travel.
- 5/5
The property looked great and it was will maintained and looked in great condition. Just the closet area was little small and wish it was a bit bigger. But apart from that, the property itself is great!
- 4/5
We stayed here for 1 night on our CA Road Trip after a day of touring Lassen Volcanic National Park. Location was convenient for that excursion. The Safeway grocery across the street was ideal. The bed was comfortable. The room, decently clean. The hairdryer wasn't working and it took extra time for maintenance to get a replacement, so our day got off to a late start. But overall, reasonable accommodations at a reasonable price.
- 4/5
Room was clean, staff friendly, professional and helpful. Thought there would be some sort of breakfast, but otherwise, would recommend.
- 4/5
Close to Mount Shasta and lake Shasta. Good price and good location, room was in good condition and clean, a little bit of off smell from the air conditioner though.
- 4/5
Close to downtown
- 5/5
It's in a good location
- 5/5
In town and across the street from a supermarket. Not too close to the freeway. The room was as pictured but it was not cleaned thoroughly.
- 5/5
I already gave this place 5 stars but hotels is making me write stuff to submit my review. I've stayed here tons, always 5 stars, jeebus
- 4.5/5
Clean, friendly staff and easy to get to Nothing
- 5/5
Just cool!
- 5/5
Close to downtown. Most major attractions about 1 hour away. Clean hotel and quiet area
- 4/5
Room was clean. No body lotion bring your own if you are planning on staying in this place. There is a hairdryer and clothes iron. I don't know if they work. I didn't use them. There is also a flat TV and small refrigerator and coffee maker. Plenty of parking.
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
I checked in and the room smelled. I think it was because no one had used the room in a long time and the drains stunk. After running some water the smell went away. The dinner next door has good food. The Inn is centrally located and easy to get to different places in the area.
- 4/5
Quick and easy check in. Conveniently located across the street from grocery store and gas station. Clean room and bathroom. It was adequate for our one night stay passing through.
- 4/5
The air-conditioning worked very well in the room stayed very cold
- 4/5
First time staying at Inn/motel. We are Marriott members. There are a lot of inn/ motel in the area. This place is a very good value. The bed is super comfortable and I like the place was remodeled. But The room I was in have some water damage in the bathroom probably from the roof and patched up holes in the wall because it didn’t have door stopper. Shower door handles were missing too. It’s no Marriott, but it’s still is a decent and comfortable stay. Having said that, I might stay again depending on availability in the area.
- 5/5
Very helpful staff when registering. Airy rooms with all you need. I'll be back.
- 5/5
The property was well maintained and the room was updated. I enjoyed the quiet environment and had a great stay.
- 5/5
This is a great value stay, always clean and helpful staff and conveniently located. Have stayed many times, and will stay again!

Luckily, we stayed only for one night for a wedding. We informed Hotel.com regarding an early check in so we can get ready for a 3 PM wedding. We got there around 1:30 PM and try to check in with the front desk staff. He rudely and said we can't check in until 2 PM. All the rooms was ready, but he made us come back 30 minutes to check in. We waited for 30 minutes to check in and he took his time to help us. He went around and made coffee for himself and come back after 10 minutes knowing that we told him that we got a wedding to go to at 3 PM. He didn't seem to care about our urgency and took his time checking us in. Well, we were late to the wedding!!! We asked for lower floor for check in, but he ignored us and gave us 2nd floor without listening to our needs that we have person with knee and hip issue to use the stairs. Once we check in, we went to our rooms and was surprised to see the hair dryer with it's electrical exposed; posing an electrical shock or fire hazard; the tub handle falls off as we tried to turn on to shower. When it's time for us to sleep, the bed was awful and creaks with every little subtle moves. The floor is nasty and dirty like it's never been mopped for ages. The cleaning staffs was not friendly at all. We didn't feel safe and can't wait to check out early in the morning. I took pictures of the broken door, broken shower handle, and broken/hazardous hair dryer that posed electrical shock. I tried attaching pictures, but can't.
- 4/5
Good for what it costs. Great location for walking to bars, restaurants.
- 3/5
Parking easy and seemed safe. AC effective but loud. Room big and clean. TV didn't work until we fixed it. Coffee poor. No breakfast offered. I rated it at 3 but was more like a 3.5
- 5/5
It was hard to get in touch with the front desk on the phone due to service issues but other than that, no issues.
- 5/5
One of the best hotel we’ve ever been to. Highly recommended ♥️

No issues with parking. Staff was nice and informative. The floors in the room were pretty dirty. Had to wear socks cause the bottom of our feet would be black from the dirt on the floor. Sheets were a bit stained. Water took a while to get warm. Its good if youre going to stay for just the night.
- 5/5
Great inn. No breakfast but excellent for the price.
- 5/5
Very quiet and easy to sleep. Comfortable bed and AC. Convenient frig, microwave, coffeemaker, wifi, plenty of outlets. Easy free parking. The pool looked clean and very inviting. Wished I could have used it. The only thing I would have like added would be something to put my suitcase on rather than the floor. I will most likely stay here again, but bring my own suitcase stand. I wonder if I could have gotten one if I had asked?
- 1/5
Hotel wouldn't accept an ID that was damaged and therefore wouldn't check the customer in. While that wasn't appreciated, Red Roof Inn in Redding CA is unwilling to refund the cost of reservation. Since the customer paid for the night and Red Roof choose not to accept the ID a reason concession would be to refund the fees. The customer incurred further costs at another near by hotel for the night.
- 4.5/5
There was a bunch of black hair next to the toilet. Also not enough toilet paper. There was just part of a roll. Other than that it was great! Thank you!!

You painted parking lines are to small. Parked in my line and the car next to me was their line and had to crawl out the back to get out! The desk person was grealt he was friendly and so understanding he really should get recognition for all he does! Thank you, Sherry
- 4/5
The room was quiet and clean.
- 2/5
Didn't need A/C in April so can't comment on that. Parking didn't feel safe as downtown area known for car break-ins...we just took everything out of car or out of sight, locked-up, parked under a light and crossed our fingers. The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Pillows were like bricks...bring your own. Next to zero amenities. No lotion or any of those typical amenities left for guests to use. There are some handsoap and shampoo/cond. combos attached to the walls in the bathroom sink and shower areas. There are towels. There is an ironing board/iron and only a tiny little individual package of tissues...no box of tissues as are usually available at most hotels/motels. There is a coffee maker in the room. There is a little fridge and a micro sized microwave. The coffee machine in the lobby was inoperable. The ice machine/s were all inoperable. Bring your own water...and most everything else you need/want. We only needed a place for one night to attend a wedding then back home so we didn't mind the spartan nature of the property...but wouldn't want to stay long.
- 5/5
It’s a nice convenient place, at a reasonable price!
- 2/5
Room was not clean, previous guest clothes was in the bathroom! Bathtub clogged, fridge was not working
- 5/5
We stayed there for one night and it was really nice. The fact that you don’t even have to pay for bringing a dog should give that place 10 stars ⭐️ You have to pay for the second one, if you have one, but only $15. The beds and the sheets were really comfortable and super clean. We had a great night sleep. It was also relatively quiet. And, the Saveway is just across the street! What else do you need?
- 5/5

Very friendly staff. Big room and cosy bed. Quiet place, no busy/noisy roads overnight.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and spacious. I really had a good nights rest. Especially after traveling for 6 hours. The guy who helped me really explained everything with regard to my stay and I didn’t step out of the lobby without not knowing where I’m going. The property was very clean and even when I was leaving I saw a guy attend to the pool as well.

- 5/5
Stayed one night. Room was clean. Staff was friendly, professional. I felt safe and the price was good. No complaints, will stay here again.
- 3/5
Dreaming has been working late today would come twice to fix it I have not. Don't have a coffee pot. The people of us at 3:30 in the morning are very noisy for about 45 minutes.
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay. Restaurant has an "oldy but goodies" type of music bar (right on site with hotel). Excellent comfort food (did breakfast and lunch). Plus there plenty of places to eat and shop nearby as the hotel is downtown
- 5/5
Everything was absolutely perfect except the fridge didn’t get cold at all in some parts of it and the cooler reset during the night but that was fine, it was amazing for the price and I would love to return! Thanks so much for the kind and friendly helpful staff giving me the WiFi pass
- 5/5
Clean rooms and very convenient spot close to downtown

Very good
- 3/5
-Quiet at night (at least while we stayed) -First floor rooms if traveling with bikes (me), or cats (sometimes) -Clean, nice staff -proximity to downtown and our very favorite Redding restaurant :) -across the street from Safeway with a Starbucks -beds reasonably comfy (pillows not as much) Not as good- -our room was perhaps in the middle of a remodel? Art was removed from walls, with picture hangers left in place -shower seemed to have been partially disassembled, with “mounted” bottles just sitting in the tub -broken hair dryer :( -no breakfast I love their pet friendliness, general kindness, and the price point, so depending upon what matters to you, this could be a great option. We will stay again!
- 3.5/5

- 5/5
Such great place to stay, clean, super comfortable beds, quiet. Will def come again.
- 3.5/5
Remodeled facilities at a great location, comfortable and quiet at night. It’s a classic roadside motel, which suited us fine but others may want a more “upscale” stay.

The hair dryer not working
- 3/5
had some questionable towels, bathroom was small and shower-head was quiet outdated. Scuffs all over the wall and baseboards were really old which in retrospect doesn’t affect the quality, it seemed clean despite all that. Fine for a one night stay.
- 5/5
My best hotel happen to be my shortest stay I just needed a place to rest a few hours in the middle of the night 🌙
- 5/5
Parking was easy. Check in was a breeze
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Pleasantly surprised. Property has a checkered past, as do most budget hotels in Redding, but has been updated and improved tremendously. Manager very careful at screening guests to avoid criminal activities. Very clean and convenient to the downtown activities, within walking distance
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and available even at late/very early check out hours. Room was clean and property was well cared for. Convenient location.
- 5/5
Yes nearby
- 4/5
The room was comfortable and clean. We stayed here overnight on a trip. I wouls stay there again
- 2/5
just so so
- 4/5
Staff were great. Room was clean and bed was comfy but the aged air conditioning sure is loud. Probably fine in the summer when you can turn it off at night but when it’s cold and you need heat it’s tough to cope with. Other than that it’s great value and better than most similarly priced hotels I’ve tried in Redding in the same quality bracket. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Room was clean and the bed was great
- 4/5
Clean hotel. Honestly what you expect to get for $60 can’t really complain.
- 5/5
Front desk was courteous and helpful. Room was clean. Perfect for a one night on your way through.
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 5/5
Extremely courteous and friendly staff members onsite - made the check in process seamless and enjoyable. this hotel is usually a go to for my partner and I when we're staying overnight in Redding. Convenient location with Safeway across the street, local restaurant next door, and downtown Redding/sundial bridge a hop, jump, and a skip away.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay at the red roof inn
- 4/5
Nicely renovated room, clean and well equipped, convenient location.

Clean room
- 2/5
A decent place to stay, Lulu's Diner is right next door which is very good, my only complaint is it's really gross that all the towels have bad stains of brown or yellow on them. It's tough to use on your face and body.
- 5/5
.
- 2/5
Outside people playing loud music
- 3/5
The room could have been cleaner, they left a dirty towel on the sink and the bed cover was dirty. I had to ask for a new bed cover.
- 3/5
Pretty clean nice and helpful employees
- 1/5
The property’s absurd rules. No guests that live within 55 miles and no expired IDs. I’ve NEVER had a hotel ask for ALL guests IDs and I’ve stayed at numerous hotels. I wish I would’ve booked somewhere else.
- 5/5
Overall good experience, friendly staff and quiet environment
- 4/5
Nothing the hotel can do about this, but just a warning to other travelers; you have to turn left onto a one way street when leaving the hotel with cars coming fast around a blind corner to your right. Be very careful.
- 4/5
Great stay but the shower leaked all over the floor.
- 1/5
There was a leak on the floor. Reoccurring, as in the morning, the major leak was by the sink again. 2. The shower was "stripped". Either boiling hot or cold. 3. New "check-in" desk person. We said, "quiet room". We were put in a room by the I-5 freeway. The meth heads had the rooms by the office.
- 1/5
Terrible hotel staff and gross dirty room! My husband and I stayed 3 nights. The last morning at 7 am I handed my keys to the guy that works in the lobby at night. I was charged an extra night for not checking out! I have been calling and fighting with the hotel ever since. Check other reviews, they rip people off! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
- 5/5
Older but nicely remodeled, clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Older but nicely remodeled property, clean and comfortable, helpful staff.
- 5/5
Redding rain was quite heavy, though.
- 3/5
Room was fine. Front desk friendly. Only concern was the shady cars and people hanging outside their rooms.
- 5/5
Chris at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. He took time to help me park my Uhaul that I was having trouble parking. He was wonderful!, thank you Chris
- 4/5
Great stay, excellent staff attentive to our needs, comfortable beds, would stay here again.
- 5/5
good
- 5/5
It was good, the only problem was that the Internet speed was slow for watching YouTube on TV
- 5/5
Convenience
- 5/5
Loved the clean room, I'm a huge germphobe and this room made me feel at ease. Love the location, the only downside was no complemtary breakfast but there are some pretty good restaurants within walking distance
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. We were exhausted from driving and booked the room through Expedia on our way into town at midnight. I confirmed the reservation for the correct date but since it was 12am when I clicked the confirm button it changed to the next day. The guy at the front desk fixed it right away with zero hassle and was really nice about it. Expedia bookings can often cause a lot of issues with things like this (from my many experiences) so we really appreciated his help.
- 5/5
Clean, updated, friendly
- 5/5
This motel stay was a legit $75 diamond in the rough. Newly renovated. Simple, modern and super clean. Comfortable king sized bed and a 45” flatscreen with Netflix… what could make it any better? Saloon/restaurant sharing the parking lot serves perfect French fries along side the delicious prime rib dip sandwich I ordered for dinner.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Clean room.

Great room!
- 5/5
great
- 3/5
Bad light bulb, empty shower soap container, warped floor outside bathroom and very, very noisy heater. Heater was so loud we left off so we would sleep. But still woke because of the rooms next door loud heaters.
- 5/5
fortune
- 5/5
We checked in late in a Sunday. I liked that we had Safeway right across the street.
- 3/5
Beds were comfortable, the room was definitely out dated and wasnt very clean. Oarking was awful also, we got lucky and there was a right squeeze spot left!
- 4/5
Overall good. Good water pressure and hot water you actually have to add cold to. Minor maintenance issues like broken tp holder. A stand for suitcases would be a nice touch
- 4/5
Clean room, nice shower, staff was very helpful and nice.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was helpful!
- 5/5
Everything about the room was good. Clean sheets and towels. Bathroom was clean. Outlets worked, lamps worked. Had a microwave and fridge. Could have used a box of Kleenex.
- 5/5
Front desk guy was great. Quit safe area close to the hospital. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
- 5/5
The room was clean, bed was comfortable and I felt secure on the premises. The surrounding area was questionable in the evening but I still felt safe. The front desk staff was friendly, welcoming, and made nice conversation when we arrived. It was a very good spot for a stop over hotel. I would stay here again while passing through.
- 2/5
I booked a 2 queen bedroom. One of the beds had hair on the sheets and was dirty. I tried to call the office, but our room phone did not work. I went to the office and the front desk staff gave us clean linen to change the dirty linen. The room had a weird odor. I would not stay here again.
- 2/5
Room was clean, not noisy BUT, no hot water. I let the office know that there was no hot water and they were like, sorry... didn't even offer to comp for me not being able to shower.
- 5/5
The room was clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay and may be back in the future.
- 3/5
room doesn’t have microwave and bodywash and toothpaste
- 5/5
Very quiet hotel, no unnecessary traffic thru property
- 4/5
All was good
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and courteous!
- 5/5
Good value
- 4/5
Staff has been great, it is a very quiet place, very comfortable stay
- 5/5
I have stayed here over 3 times and 80% of the time it has been awesome, this was one of those times. The only thing I would suggest is cleaning the hard wood floors, because there is a lot of dust that accumulates everywhere, but the furniture was new, the bed was clean, and it was a quiet , great night's sleep with lots of parking with plenty of parking and a friendly staff
- 1/5
A/c leaked water on top out shoes and made a puddle and made creaking noises all night had to shut it off and slept hot
- 2/5
The room smelled bad, the sheets smelled bad, and there was a dirty washcloth in the bathroom left from the last visit. Furthermore, that dirty cloth was not picked up my second day when the rest of the towels were refreshed.
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable room! Bed is perfect, shower has great water pressure and comfy floor. Staff are exquisite!!! And Lulu’s Restaurant is yummy and affordable.
- 5/5
Ir Wat good
- 5/5
The location is quiet and well managed, there arent people coming thru at night
- 4/5
It was fine for its price point. Recommend cattleman’s for dinner.
- 1/5
They refused to rent to me because I was a local. And after already verifying through expedia that they would as long as I had a hundred dollar deposit. But when I showed up they refused and now they refuse to refund me.
- 5/5
Staff was great, room was clean, but the kicker was the great restaurant and lounge right next door.
- 4/5
The room was satisfactory - no frills but clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was louder than expected. Parking was available and the restaurant within walking distance.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice complex, felt safe
- 4/5
Staff was courteous and efficient - room was clean and well appointed. The area is a little sketchy but the property itself is nicely maintained.
- 5/5
Clean comfortable room with plenty of space. Quiet at night without alot of strange stuff in the parking lot. The setup makes it feel private and protected from the street
- 5/5
Quiet, clean, & comfortable! Have stayed here several times and won’t hesitate to book this location in the future.
- 5/5
This is a great spot for getting around town and safe. There’s a great restaurant attached to the property with excellent meals and very friendly service. The staff at the hotel are very friendly, helpful and ready to assist with any of your needs. There’s also a big grocery store across the street to stock up on all your needs. Rooms, tv and bathroom are spacious and new. Nice family friendly space.
- 5/5
Nice Property to stay
- 4/5
Didn't use AC/parking good I didn't like being hit with a surprise $100 "security or damage deposit. There was no paperwork explaining types of items that would result in a charge and no detail on when the deposit would be returned or whom to contact if it wasn't returned. No form to note items that were damaged or missing when we arrived. This charge should be in the Expedia listing.
- 5/5
The room seemed clean. Iron and hair dryer not present. Wooden edges appear chewed on by dogs.
- 1/5
We did not stay very dirty smelly it has a one star review on yelp not one good review we left after we ask to see room before checking in Expedia has it a 9 out of 10 very good I don’t know were they get there ratings had to go to another hotel
- 3/5
Room was as expected, a little dirty, mold in shower. Parking was convenient. Safeway right across street with homeless camped all around it. Friendly staff and great price.
- 3/5
Hotel was ok for sleeping, not in the greatest shape otherwise.
- 3/5
One of the wall outlets wasn't even screwed into the wall with exposed wires hanging out of it. The bathroom door didn't even close correctly. You can just tell there's a lot of small things that weren't done with effort.
- 5/5
It's my first time to stay in this place, pet friendly
- 1/5
Paper thin door ro room next door. Can 100 percent hear the complete conversation of room next door.
- 4/5
Love the stay. Great pricing for a nice set up
- 4/5
Entry/exit to properly lies at a dangerous blind corner. Property itself is fine.
- 3/5
Air on unit hanging off wall and hair dryer plug broken. Nice Italian just round the corner
- 5/5
Overall, nice affordable hotel option located near downtown Redding. There's a community pool & restaurant on-site. The room has the basics, was comfortable & suited me well during my road trip. Check-in was easy at the front desk. The parking lot is a bit tight & snug. But overall, a good experience. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Ac worked great
- 3/5
Easy access to freeway. Check in and out was a breeze. Towels are little dirty luckily we have our own. The bed was too soft for me. Being on the 2nd floor I can hear people walking outside. For the price I cant complain too much.
- 5/5
We just stopped to sleep half way through our trip but it was clean and comfy.
- 1/5
HORRIBLE AND DIRTY AND UNSAFE!!!
- 1/5
It was so bad, that I had purchased 2 nights to stay, and I only could stay one night this was only because it was really late and I had no other option. But the next day early in the morning I looked for another way much better.and almost for the same price. If you ever come to Redding, CA. DON’T STAY in THIS HORRIBLE HOTEL named “Red Roof”. It totally sucks! Instead, Pay a little more and get something way better than this crap. Don’t say I didn’t warn you guys…
- 5/5
Staff friendly and courteous. Rooms were immaculate and the king bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 1/5
Stained sheets. Missing buttons on the telephone, no shower curtains, Door lock doesn't work. Dirty floor. No provided refund. No excuses!
- 5/5
Easy check in. Comfy bed! Clean room.
- 4/5
Bon accueil
- 3/5
Unfortunately, my main complaint was the noise. There was loud yelling either outside or from the next room that went on well past midnight, which made it difficult to rest. Then early the next morning, a leaf blower started up and continued until I checked out. This really impacted the quality of my stay since I was exhausted and needed rest.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable. Near a lot of shops and restaurants
- 5/5
Great hotel! We always stay here when visiting Redding.
- 4/5
It was alright.
- 3/5
2) Poor WiFi reception 3) A countertop in the bathroom would be helpful.
- 5/5
Es un lugar muy seguro, me encanta que acepten mascotas, es tranquilo.

Door key cards did not activate correctly. TV did not work. This was for room 114, should anyone get to looking at these 2 items.

Easy, friendly and quiet.

Hotel is budget friendly. Condition okay, not great. Everything works, not ideal.

It was very clean. Even smelled clean. It was a wonderful stay.

Affordable, clean, comfortable room.

We stayed for one night on our way to bring my son back up to Seattle for college. Our priorities were pet friendly, easy in/out with bicycles, and close proximity to downtown, because we prefer to eat at final draft every time we stay in Redding :). This is the first time we’ve traveled with a cat; my son brought one of our cats back up to be his companion this year. This was a really easy stay. Check-in was easy, we got a first floor room. Our room was clean, and easy to navigate with a cat. It was quiet and we were able to park almost in front of it, making transport of bikes and cat into the room super simple. Beds were OK/not great. Plumbing/fixtures were just fine. It would’ve been nice to have breakfast, but there’s a Starbucks quite nearby, and the price point for this hotel meant that that was not a dealbreaker for me. They do not charge for the first pet, which was very nice. There was a lovely looking pool, which we did not have time to use. Overall, we would stay here again, especially with pets. No loudness, no problems, just a quiet night and close proximity to our favorite restaurant.

Im not sure what was going but the room next to mine had TV full blast ALL NIGHT long. I turned on the AC just cover the noise. that my thoughts on the place.
- 5/5
Safe area, clean comfortable bed, and nice staff
- 5/5
Excellent stay in Redding at the Red Roof. The location was very clean and comfortable. Good location for restaurants and easy access to the freeway.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Easy to find. And the restaurant and lounge next door is out of sight!
- 5/5
We've stayed here many times. It's clean, comfortable and basically quiet.
- 5/5
The beds were worth the stay! Very comfortable. Quiet area.
- 4/5
My only criticism is that there were only two bath towels for the 3 of us. It was a little out-dated and old, but convenient location and great price.
- 2/5
It was extremely lacking in sound-proofing. I was disturbed all night long by other customers on either side of my room-their tvs were on high volume all night long. Also, I was traveling alone with sensitive documents and there was no internal extra safety long that would prohibit anyone else with a key from entering the room while I was sleeping or in the shower. I consequently did not relax and rest well. Please install those extra security latches that prohibit entry into the rooms from unwanted intruders.
- 5/5
Loved the place!
- 3/5
It was a decent place for the price, but when we got into our room, there was a faint but consistent sewage smell. We couldn’t figure out where it was coming from because the bathroom actually smelled ok. It wasn’t horrible, but definitely unpleasant. There was also a black widow hanging from the air conditioning unit, which was quite disconcerting when we were about to spend the night.
- 4/5
Area is a bit ding y but rooms were updated and clean
- 5/5
It's relatively quiet, parking lot seems safe. A restaurant on the property and rooms are comfortable and clean. Water pressure could be better.
- 5/5
I had a wonderful experience here. It was very quiet, organized and clean. Staff was amazing as well. Truly appreciate it after 10 hours of driving, getting to rest in a neat room was wonderful.
- 5/5
We like it safe and quiet
- 4/5
Good location, it was near a Safeway and a couple restaurants that you could walk to. It was also near a freeway so you could get to your destination pretty quickly. Room was clean, room service was good there was a little stain but they quickly took care of it.

Clean room

Staff at check-in were very busy but also very polite to me and all the others in the lobby. Not excited by the room which wasn't very clean. Every hotel/motel I've ever been to, the bed covers are tucked in, these beds weren't tucked in at the ends, only the sides which was and looked unkempt. The bed sheets are very rough sandpaper feeling. Bathroom: although the TP was folded over, there were sheets of TP on the floor, so I grabbed clean tp from the roll to pick up the TP sheets on the floor, I then found black curly hairs on the floor which grossed me out, in addition when I wiped up the floor the TP was blackened with dirt, like the floor had not been cleaned/mopped. There is dry caked dirt in ever corner around the room from never being wiped after being repainted. The motel appears somewhat remodeled but looks more like a DIY Job. The tiles at the top of the shower are peeling away from the wall. Towels: there is one bath towel for 3 people in the room. In the morning I will have to go to the lobby to request bathroom towels.

It was a quick overnight. Price was good and worked well for us.

Friendly staff!

- The roof of the building I was in was dry rotten under the eave in the back, falling chunks on the ground - soap bottles were knocked off the walls - there was no shelf to put our personal soap/shampoo, we had to sit them on the floor of the shower stall when showering - towel rack above toilet was half pulled out of the wall on the right side - the room reeked of bleach smell when we entered, made our eyes water - there was no drain cover/stomper, it is good I didn't drop anything in the sink or it would be gone in seconds. Ok, so you have a good revenue stream coming in with the number of bookings you get weekly so there is no excuse for any of these things. Stop putting the money in your bank account and invest it in some good maintenance on your hotel. You can do better!
- 5/5
The beds are EXTREMELY comfortable, the rooms are clean, and the staff is super nice.
- 4/5
Easy to get to. close enough to nearby restaurants.
- 5/5
Great for a night stay while passing through. No complaints
- 5/5
The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean for an overnight stay for our road trips. We stay here often as it is conveniently off the freeway and across the street from a Safeway grocery and gas.
- 4/5
Nice clean place
- 5/5
The motel itself was nice. It included a pool, which is a delight on a 107-degree day! The AC is also very good. Right across the driveway from the office is a friendly, reasonably priced family-style restaurant, very handy! The streets around it are pretty terrifying, though. The motel and restaurant are are a sharp, awkwardly angled intersection, with one-way streets on both sides, and very few safe pedestrian crossings -- the real California experience, I suppose!
- 5/5
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable & the room rate was great.
- 3/5
The price is good however the lack of maintenence in the room was terrible. The shower door water

First room air conditioning was not working after about 1 hour on. We were able to switch rooms but new room door keycard was not working. We pushed the door very hard and it opened. But keycard was not working to open the door. We were just staying the night so left as is. The air conditioner worked but not strong enough to cool the room. It was very hot that day.

If you want to save money but don’t care about your safety or the cleanliness then stay here. I’ve never had to do this before but my mom and I drove in, saw a good number of sketchy people, tried to give it a chance, went into our room and immediately decided it was not safe, clean, or worth the $120 they charged us. They have weird rules regarding reservations and the whole thing is not nice and not in a nice area. Maybe if I was a buff man who slept with my gun I would stay here but never as a woman. We tried to get our refund and they did not refund us even though their conditions are terrible, unlike the photos they show online. We ended up driving over to best western and paying only $40 more even night of and it was so much better. Red Roof Inn, please rethink not refunding us, it is really not cool.

Other than the toilet seat was detached (lack of screws), and also the bottom faucet in the bathroom did not shut off completely when transitioning to the shower head... this was a good place for a night's stay. Reception is very courteous, prompt, and very informative. Would stay here again on next round.

Woke us up around 11am to say there was a water main break and forced us to move in the middle of the night. Not even a thank you for the inconvenience or discount. They even charged me the 100 deposit on top of it. Toilet in the first room was not anchored to the floor and there was no power to the nightstand to plug in our chargers. Bed pads had huge stains on them. Ect ect.

One night staff member was so high, he kept interrupting the person trying to check us in. It took 25 minutes because these interruptions.

Professional, friendly staff at front desk. Room was nice and clean for the most part. I did find a catapillar on the ground which freaked me out. Maybe they need to exterminate their hotel more.

The staff was friendly. The place is an older style. The rooms were small which was okay but the dirty room was not okay! You could obviously tell the room had not been cleaned decent in a long while. I liked that they had laminate floors instead of carpet, but it was so gross. Had not been mopped in a long time. It was filthy under the desk, furniture, and the corners had piles of dirt in them. Pool was out of order. Room said it slept 4 but we only received 2 towels. Got a little tiny individual pack of Kleenex, not a box of Kleenex. Would not recommend to family or friends. Will never stay here again!

Great experience coming into town late at night staff was friendly and room was clean. Couldn’t have asked for more.

It was really nice to have 3 beds in the room. I had a total of 7 people with me and it had plenty of space to sleep comfortably.

Always a good stay
- 4/5
Nice, clean and comfortable. No cups for the in room coffee. Parking was horrible, spaces were tiny and hard to come by. Unsure if there was more than one ice maker, but only one we found was way up by office, and had to have it turned on by office staff to get ice. The floor near bathroom was a trip hazard because it had bubbled up. Bed and pillows were nice. Good a/c and room was nice and cool which is great for Redding.

Customer Service was fantastic! The gentleman who helped church in was friendly. He even went out of his way to try to help us with the issues we had with the TV and wifi.

This is my second time staying here. Nice location and close to shopping. We stay in the 3 bedroom. Roomy and comfy in the room. Upgraded floor and furniture. Very nice…

Very content with my one night stay. Pleasant staff, clean room and pool. Shares parking lot with neat old school restaurant.
- 4/5
Wonderful
- 3/5
This is a very normal motel but with a relatively high price which made the value for money the lowest in that area. Staff doesn’t represent the real spirit of hospitality. I’m not a guest in their (his) eyes. Smoke sensor was left on table, wood floor was very dirty, water is leaking from the shower…just one night so we kept silent.
- 1/5
The room was clean however we had a horrible situation. My child did cause an accidental stain on one towel and they took the deposit and also an additional $72 charge totaling extra $172 charge on top of the room charge. The pool was not maintained at all and made us all sick. I will not stay here in the future or will not recommend to anyone.

This place was an interesting mix of run down and obviously taken care of. Got there late in the middle of a long road trip. The guy at the front desk was chill, but after getting all checked in lugged my bags across the whole property, passed several condemned rooms, to find my key didn’t work. Went all the way back to get two more keys which also didn’t work. Noticed through the window there seemed to be furniture stacked on top of the bed. Went all the way back to make sure it was the right room and had to walk all the way back with the front desk guy to prove the lock was broken and the room had furniture stacked inside it. He said it had happened a few times already that week - really feels like the first time you realize they didn’t put rooms back together after doing the floors you’d do a sweep and make sure rooms you are renting out are ready for people. By this time my shoulders were seriously hurting from my bags, I was hot, and so so ready for bed. Had to go all the way back to the front, get re-checked in to a different room. The room was so hot, smelled bad, and when I went to take a cool shower the shower head was broken and sprayed water everywhere. It was… a very long day. That being said, the room was clean, the parking lot was well lit, and it felt like they bought furniture from a more expensive motel. Was overall grateful for a place to stop and rest for the night.
- 3/5
Staff and check in was great. Pictures and reviews are not representative of the actual facility and conditions. Outside smoking allowed in front of rooms. The smell fou d ita way into my space even with thw window open. Parking can be tricky if the hotel has high occupancy. Lots of homeless in the area.
