Oxford Suites Redding

Staff were great, breakfast was wonderful and the room was fantastic. Best stay I’ve had in the US.

Hugo was great to work with, he answered all of our questions and helped us feel at ease with our choices. The hotel was clean. The staff were very helpful. The bartender on Friday night went above and beyond helping all the guests even though she was working alone. Will definitely stay there again.

Rooms and hotel itself were very clean. Breakfast was also great! It was a pleasant surprise to have a chef preparing the scrambled eggs in the kitchen. Pool area was lovely in person as the photos online don’t do it justice.

The complimentary drinks were a disappointment but nice gesture The buffet breakfast was great We did not get to use the amenities due to a soccer tournament in town with MANY of the players and family staying at the hotel made the pool overcrowded, the hot tub not relaxing and the sleep interrupted because we were downstairs with the players above us Probably would have been a great stay if we were upstairs away from the pool and commotion Bed was very comfortable and I would possibly stay again on a quiter night

We where told that there was no water turned on our arrival and they where working on the water pressure. Maybe 1 to 2 hours delay to come back on. They had it on within the timeframe given and even notified us by cell phone that all was up and running. Other then that it was ok.

The room was very clean and staff was very responsive. Loved the cookies and nightly drinks.

Stayed as a last minute decision for a soccer tournament with my son and unexpectedly a bunch of his teammates were there too which was a nice surprise. I know it must have been hard on the staff having about a million screaming kids and floaties in the pool area but they took it in stride, were patient and I always saw someone cleaning up, and checking in. With all those people the hotel remained clean and stocked with towels, salad bar, etc. The bartender was super fast when I went for my complimentary adult beverage, and although she was inundated with sun swept soccer parents, she was totally fast and efficient, with a smile on her face. I have stayed here before for work, and for fun and every time have a really good experience. It's my go-to when visiting Redding, CA weather I'm with family, friends, or myself.

Our bedding was used and dirty. They did not switch us rooms because they over booked the property and barely had any clean bedding for us to use. We were unable to use the pool or hot tub because there was a large group of out of control guests kids. They would take our stuff, not give it back and their parents were smoking around the pool. We notified the staff and they did nothing.

The room and bed were great, 3rd floor. it was quiet and we slept well. Redding has gone down hill, unfortunately Oxford Suites is stuck in an economically depressed and high crime area of Redding.. I can't believe how run down all of Redding looks but especially where Oxford is.. The Chilis next door is shuddered, or maybe it was a macaroni grill.. several closed stores. Some fentanyl dopehead wandering on site, another one casing the parking lot actively as we parked. (i'm far from prudish, it was really scary at night and the people surrounding the hotel are desperate enough to make it concerning). Breakfast was objectively dissatisfying both visually and in taste. the packaged yogurt isn't yogurt, its milk with corn starch and flavoring. the eggs were cooked a couple days ago and left out to eat? the staff seemed to enjoy the food as they were also eating while at work and preparing food for the buffet i assume.. or maybe for themselves. I dunno. i've been to three oxford suites now and 2/3 were five star. this one was 3 star at best but i'm being generous.

Room was quiet. Breakfast was very good. The breakfast and bar staff were the most friendly. Definitely fit our needs.

They had given me a free buffet voucher in my key holder but frustratingly I hadn’t noticed until I checked out so make sure your check yours. The hotel is in a good location too and easily drivable to nearby shops and restaurants.

I was looking forward to my one-night stay at the Oxford but was very disappointed. The pictures on the site including Expedia do not adequately represent the property. In the pics, it looked fresh and clean. Reality is the flooring, door jams, elevators are old and not clean. The room was not fresh with old furnishings. I was not comfortable staying, fearing there were unseen insects in the room. The staff were helpful but were on their mobile phones, less than a professional appearance.

Room is clean. Breakfast is awesome. The only issue is that the room is not sound proof well. We all woke up by some noises in other rooms, even AC noise from next door, and people talking/crying in the hallway at 3am.

The room was excellent, clean, roomy, fabulous. I just wished it hadn’t been so noisy next door. I asked for a quiet area and room. For this reason, I might not stay again.

The room was modern, clean and well appointed. Felt upscale with reasonable rates. Pet friendly with plenty area to walk dog. He even got his own welcome package. Great breakfast. Snack bar available in evening. This was our 3rd time staying there.

We had another wonderful stay at this hotel — this was actually our second time staying here, and once again, we were very happy and satisfied! The service was excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. We also appreciated the great parking, which made everything very convenient. The breakfast was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the evening salad bar socials they served at night — such a thoughtful and enjoyable touch! The relaxing atmosphere and overall experience exceeded our expectations once again. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely love to return again!

It was a great place as I was traveling solo yet I felt safe. Staff was very nice! They offered great price for several of the things that you receive such as evening cocktail or mocktail along with appetizers and a breakfast. The rooms were clean and I believe spacious for the Price. The only problem is that I could hear my neighbors who had their TV up pretty loud during the night gaming. But otherwise great stay!

Secondly, the place was NOISY. It was overrun with screaming children, and the rooms simply had no level of sound proofing at all (thin walls?). There were noises all night, from the parking lot, from the pool, from other guest rooms. The AC unit was super-loud. The bathroom was not very clean (hairs from various previous guests kind of mop-shoved into corners). The hard floors were sticky (ew), and the carpet didn't look very clean. There was just no value in the price for a night here.

The only downside was the noise from the guests in the room above us, who were quite loud throughout the night.

Nice hotel, I think it's over rated. You can see how they cheap out on repairs and the showers suck.

The shower had no shelf, no towel bar, no grab bar, nothing to place your razor or personal items, no bars to hold if you feel like slipping, nowhere to hang your wash cloth. Nothing.

Nice hotel with charging stations across street. Not right next to freeway which is good. We asked for a quiet room but were given a room next to the elevator. Lots of people talking at elevators by our room. Very noisy. All that being said, we will comeback again. Nicer than most in Redding.

One of the best pet friendly hotels we've stayed at on travel days during road trips. Thoughtful amenities and staff.

It was clean, quiet and staff was helpful and friendly. Bar has strong drinks at reasonable prices. Parking for Hot August nights was safe (security on site) and well lit. Trailer parking in the back and nearby. We will stay aging.

Pleasantly surprised with supper beverage and breakfast. There was noise from adjoining room like they were in our room talking. Hope we did not keep them up with our snoring!

The inside is a whole different story First off, the smell of the place is like an old miners boot The smell of the room, like the miners socks It's a 40 year old hotel that's been painted and vacuumed maybe, 10 years ago

As Hilton and Mariott member this is my first time staying at an Oxford Inn & Suites hotel. I was very impressed with the entire hotel, rooms, bathrooms and extensive breakfast selection. The best hotel bed I've actually loved. Impressed. I will start adding this to my favorites.

Walls are thin and we could hear man in next room coughing. We were on the first floor and it sounded like someone was running track upstairs. If you stay here get the top floor.

The staff was great, the drinks were good, the food is ok... The hotel itself is nice however the surrounding outside area looks almost dystopian.

We have stayed in this hotel before and had excellent internet. But the room we were in this time, 154, did not have good internet. All we had to do is walk 30 Steps From the room and the internet was fine. I assume there was a internet router that was not operating in our immediate vicinity, but they were unable to fix it promptly. That was a big negative for us. Other than that we had a delightful stay the pool area is very pleasant the breakfast is quite good the evening reception is a nice Plus and we were able to stick around after check out to do a zoom meeting in the breakfast room which was helpful to us on this trip. We will probably stay here again but not in that same room area.

The outside grounds were covered in garbage and needle caps. When we checked in at 6pm, the man who checked us in was rude and i dint appreciate him in anyway. Our toilet was loose and not connected to the floor, our door was also covered in something sticky. Not the experience we ar3 use to at an Oxford property.

All The staff were very pleasant to work with. I encountered many of the staff and it is rare that all the staff seemed to be happy which shows me management is taking care of them. Quiet clean spacious room. Excellent breakfast and hotel is right next to a nice steak restaurant. Would stay here again.

Staff was wonderful about placing us in a room away from guest traffic as our Corgi has super sonic hearing. The evening soup and salad meal along with a complimentary adult beverage is such a nice touch.

The TV in my room wasn't working when I arrived and they sent soneone up right away and took care of it. I also had a question about the Fitness Center and I sent a text. They responded immediately. It's a great place to stay!

Friendly, helpful staff. What I did not like was work crews staying at hotel hanging out in the bar. The hotel offers a one free drink in the bar. As a female traveler I did not feel comfortable going into the bar with the work crew in there.

Nice space on the inside of the hotel. Outside was not very inviting. The wind was howling and the windows were shaking, not sure if that is a constant experience though. We were only there one night.

This hotel is constantly good. We have stayed at this property at least 6 times and we are always satisfied with the staff, the condition of the rooms and property. And the experience.

Staff made us very welcome as we had our sons family join us for the evening to celebrate Christmas. We took over a few tables in the lounge for dinner we bought outside of hotel and were told that the hotel wants us to feel like it’s our home. Great staff all around.

I needed a place to stop for the night on a long drive. The front desk staff was warm, welcoming and accommodating! I traveled for work for the past 11 years, staying over 100 nights per year in hotels. This hotel had a nice vibe! Clean, safe, quiet. No weird smells! Room was large and comfortable! I was treated much nicer than at Hilton or Marriott where I have top tier status!

The room was amazing and the amenities would have been amazing but the hotel was packed with young soccer teams that were out of control. Check-in was terrible. The guy in front of me had a card that declined and instead of helping the next person while he figured it out she let him make several calls taking over 30 minutes.

The room was clean and spacious, and the heater worked extremely well in the cold winter weather. The hot tub and salt water pool were a real treat after a long drive, and the morning staff were a very sweet group of ladies.

Enjoyed our recent stay here and there are lots of positives. Front desk staff were wonderful. Love the social hour each evening and the bartender was fabulous. Breakfast was good and warm. Room was very clean and we loved the water pressure. Linens were clean and bed was comfortable. Our only issue was being able to regulate the temperature in the room...we had the AC turned down to 61 and we were still so hot. With the exception of that one item we thoroughly enjoyed our time

Great location and very clean establishment. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Daily hot breakfast was a nice perk. Our only complaint was that we wished the bed was a bit firmer. It wasn't lumpy, though, which made it tolerable.

Stayed 2 nights, 1st night the sausage for breakfast was salty. Some ice machines are not working. Did not allow pet to stay while we were out but in other locations, they allowed. Staff in the reception doesn’t not smile, just flat affect.

Everything is good enough for a highway hotel except the pillows are not comfortable as we had a couple of weeks ago at Confort Inn in Medford, OR

The staff was great. The bed and pillows in the king suite were heaven. Air worked amazing. Overall I will be staying at Oxford again in the future.

Homeless in the parking lot. Rooms were old and outdated. The tables in the room were in terrible shape. Since I was traveling solo, I switched hotels a night early.

Our stay was excellent. We were pleased to be offered a room on the fourth floor, secluded from the crowd. We prefer not being near families with children, so this was perfect for us. The happy hour was a delightful surprise; it filled us up and allowed us to skip dinner. Breakfast was fantastic too. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, and I plan to do so very soon.

The room was lovely, the open air walkways are refreshing (and feel safe since they're in the inner courtyard), the breakfast was convenient and the spa/pool was wonderful!

This hotel was pleasantly very comfortable, clean, and the decor seem new as the hotel seem to have been fully renovated not too long ago. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Was very taken aback by the extremely rude check in experience after staying here so many times over the years- unfriendly, unhelpful and would’ve let me stand there for who knows how long without asking me if I needed to check in until I got their attention and acted extremely irritated before telling me they were almost off work. After being a loyal visitor of the hotel I think it’s time to venture out after this experience. Still love the hotel and have had nice check ins before, but this was a big bummer.

Nancy and Lucy at the breakfast bar were doing a super job; breakfast service was outstanding! And I felt that the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

Very friendly staff. They had welcome drink vouchers which was perfect after long day on the road. Pool is great. Room was big. Would come back, would recommend.

We've stayed at other Oxford Suite locations that were much newer and nicer and in a better location (i.e. Santa Rosa for example). This property was much older and not in the best area. In fact, as we walked to a local restaurant next door, there was a homeless man who was known to hang out in the area that started yelling and swearing at us for no reason. Definitely didn't feel safe outside of the hotel as the area was a bit sketchy. Loved the lower pet fees and social hour that they offered. Rooms need updating.

The rooms are large and very clean and intact. Very friendly staff was welcoming. I would prefer carpet in the rooms but understand the ease of cleaning linoleum.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They made sure all your needs were met. The cookies at check in were delicious and we joyed our free drink in the bar. Rooms are very cleam and the bed is comfortable. We hoghly recommend this place.

Communication was poor. The bar was closed and the buffet hours were adjusted and no one communicated that.

Great place to stay when passing through Redding.

Check-in was fast and easy. Lots of families staying at this hotel, so the pool area was noisy until it closed at 10 pm, but it quieted down after that time. Comfortable bed. The bath mat was very yellow on one end and gross looking. Good stop for the night on our way through town.

Everything was so clean and cared for, it was amazing. The front desk staff was wonderful, and I can't say enough about the housekeeping staff. By far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Pool was clean and provided nice swimming. There could be some improvement in cleanliness. I tossed several pool towels for having stains. Our room had a previous guests forgotten belonging left in it with the spare sheets set, that appeared to be used and not replaced. When I notified the staff they replaced it right away. However more detail could be taken when cleaning.

The guests next door were making super loud noises and screaming for help around 1-3am in the morning. The staff checked in with them but they were still pretty loud. Didn’t get a good night sleep.

The property was decent for the price point. The hallways did have a smell of mildew and smoke. It was unpleasant but once inside the room, it was better. The area feels sketchy but just a few minutes driving is a mall with plenty of popular food options. Overall wasn’t bad for a one night stay.

Everything was clean, plenty of towels in the room for the 2 of us. Convenient fridge and microwave. Hotel gave us 1 free drink each from the onsite bar. Hot Breakfast is the usual mid price hotel fare which was ok for us. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. There are stand up ashtrays out front for those that smoke. Had a good time with other guests at the bar. Will definitely stay here again as we see trips in the future passing by here. Thanks Oxford!

Breakfast was wonderful. The staff exceptional. However, the indoor portion of breakfast sitting area was way too small and overcrowded for the amount of summer vacation families. I struggled to get my elderly mother around in her walker and dreaded every morning (3) surrounded by the noise of screeching kids whose parents must have been deaf and blind.

I arrived there on Tuesday 12 around 6:PM One of them accompany me all the way to the entrance of the section where I was staying.

Perfect location for anyone traveling on I-5. The environment is welcoming, the staff are friendly, and check-in was a breeze. Breakfast was excellent, and it was wonderful to see the staff assisting with service. Delicious food and an overall amazing experience—thank you all!

The room itself was very nice and comfortable, but the check-in process was so bad that it ruined our experience. We arrived at 6:00 PM and we're told our room wasn't ready. "Gianna" was extremely rude and didn't seem to sympathize at all with our kids who had been in108 degree weather at the water park all day. We said we thought check in was at 4pm and she snapped back with "STARTS AT 4pm". I have never been treated like this at any hotel I've ever checked into...the other lady was trying to step in and help us in some way, she went above and beyond to try to make things right but Gianna was just awful. At one point my sister said why are you being so rude and she snapped back that we were the ones being rude. I don't know what was going on, but it was a super hostile atmosphere and it literally ruined our trip. If we could have got a refund, we would have definitely stayed somewhere else. Other than check in, room was nice and breakfast was really good. Elevator felt like it was dying though.

The check in time at this hotel is 4pm. We arrived to check in after a long day at the water park with multiple kids and three adults in a group of three rooms. Our rooms were not ready at arrival and upon our arrival at 6pm the staff checking us in Gianna, was extremely rude. Rather than being nice about our rooms not being ready 2 hours after check-in time, Gianna was extremely rude, I mean downright awful. I have never experienced such horrible customer service in my life. She didn’t offer us extra drink tickets or to wait by the pool or anything. She just told us we could go elsewhere! She also lied and said the rooms weren’t ready because she was putting us on the same floor, so we said that’s fine we will have different floors, then she said actually those rooms aren’t ready either. There was another staff member, Chelsea who was friendly and offered drink tickets. Didn’t get into our rooms until 6:45 after being treated like garbage. There was no manager available to speak with at the time. Highly recommend staying elsewhere unless you enjoy being yelled at by an employee when the rooms are not ready at check in!

Arrived and was greeted by 2 front staff asking me to please wait. I waited for 8 minutes as they just talked amongst themselves about nothing work related, ate candy and then after 8 minutes decided to actually attend to work and greet me for check in. When we got to our room, the first opinion of the room was “ok”. Dark and old Looking. Went into the bathroom and was disgusted. There was black hair on the toilet, bathtub and shower. Ugh! Breakfast was ‘ok.” Other places have better breakfasts. Would not recommend this place as there are many other options to choose from in Redding!

AC does not work properly room is noisy someone constantly walking on ghe floor above makes a lot of noise. Room with 2 beds is very tiny

This hotel doesn’t match the images on the listing. It’s not nearly as nice. Our room smelled like bleach and then mildew. There wasn’t a shower curtain. The staff wasn’t very helpful or kind at check in

Although the hotel property is dated a bit, the hotel is cozy and the extras you offer are appreciated.

The check in was very quick, the receptionist was kind and changed our room location per our request. The check out was even quicker: the hotels sent me an email with a link to check out- I didn't have to stop by the lobby to return the key. The room is big: king size bed, a sofa, a desk, etc. and the bathroom was very clean, nice and the right size. The perks they offered (5:00pm appetizers and drinks were beyond my expectation.

Stay here quite often

had to wait long time before the front desk associate came to me for checking in. Then the room she gave was worst experience Air conditioner was not functioning have to struggle hard for change of rooms , average breakfast my kids were disappointed with food when there is no pancakes and waffels, i request you to remove the ' wonderful ' tag for this hotel from your recommendations, i felt that i have wasted my $179 orbucks on this booking

The check in experience was smooth and welcoming. The breakfast buffet staff however were rude as they were controlling the portions. Granted there were many guests that weekend with a swim meet but it felt like they did not like the hotel too full

Hair in shower and it was really small

The place was crawling with children and the pool was packed (and a lot smaller IRL). The welcome drink at the bar was nice. Stagf was friendly. However, I didn’t notice when I got in my room because I dropped my bags and left for the evening, but there were some things not cleaned/cleaned well. I'm picky about that and often find myself seeing if I can clean it with a cloth or toilet paper. It wasn't a deal breaker especially with the place being pretty full. Breakfast was not so great. It tasted cheap and processed. But hey, it was free. I'd stay again overall. I liked the sitting room area and decor of my room.

Excellent room, really quiet and the best shower we’ve had on our trip! Location to Lassan National Park was really awesome too.
