Everything was short for breakfast. No egg at all.

I never had a bad visit at Best Western. Thank you for making my stay so nice.

Stayed here for a night in preparation for a houseboating trip. The location is not walking distance to anything, but it's a short drive to everything. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, but it smelled like someone drained an entire can of Lysol deodorizer in the room before I got there and the smell was only somewhat dissipated by the next morning. The free breakfast was what you'd expect (waffles, cereal, eggs, yogurt, etc.). For a utilitarian place to stay on a trip it does the trick.

Basic and easy access place for stay, great staff!

Very outdated. Not what we would expect from a Best Western Plus. We were overall very disappointed.

The renovations are coming along, however, the carpets were exposed, some taped down, the bath tub plug was stuck and had to be pried up, the shower faucet started shrieking and shooting out sounds like a machine gun, and the smoke alarms went off when the bathroom was steamy. Horrible. The clerk said she would inform the manager. Horrible.

Friendly staff. Nice place. I did not use the amenities, so I won’t rate them other than average. The two negatives are that the air conditioning unit blows directly on the bed. And it kicks on frequently. The other negative is how much road noise carries into the room. Truck noise pretty much all night.

Room had fewer amenities, was smaller, and was more “basic” than similarly priced properties we’ve stayed in including both BW+ and other comparable brands. Breakfast was better than some.

The property was nice enough, but our room door did not latch shut from the outside. Also we had two separate issues with room keys not working. The breakfast was very good and the bed was comfortable.

Morning breakfast was decent, better than some. TV set up was a little below average. Beds were pretty good. Room was a little noisy and difficult to regulate the temperature- either too cold or too hot. Location was convenient.

Room had a horrible smell as soon as we entered. We ultimately found a huge soaking wet spot in front of the bathroom on the carpet....guessing it was the smell source. We could not go barefoot or in socks and jumped as far as we could over the spot to get to the bathroom. Also, the little cord hole on the middle nightstand had qtips, bread and who knows what else. That's poor tenants on that but still.....the room grossed us out. When I spoke to the lady at the desk about it, she did apologize but did not offer any discounts or anything for the bad room. I'm pretty easy going.....but this room was BAD.

The hotel is old and we had to weave through from one side of the building to the other. It was a bit confusing. The upgrades are nice, but we would have appreciated a small table where we could eat. There is a microwave and refrigerator so we brought snacks, but had to balance them on our lap and the foot stool. Thank you for a lovely bed and nice friendly service. Hugs, Sandy Czaja

Property is dated but well kept. Breakfast area is a little small but has the standard breakfast you expect out of chain hotels. It was a hot breakfast along with the usual cereal and muffin options.

The heating/cooling unit was one of the noisiest we've had to endure, making sleep very interrupted. Sheets were crazy itchy and the beds smelled of urine. We also found a cockroach in the bathroom.

Parking was good. Breakfast was good. No yogurt in the machine and the eggs were kind of watery/soft, maybe not cooked long enough.

The parking was great and easy to access. Breakfast was average. However, the room had a stuffy, unpleasant air when we entered. When we turned on the heater, it started blowing a very strong and unpleasant odor, so we had to turn it off and sleep without heating, which made the room cold. Overall, not a comfortable experience.

It's a very convenient place to stay with reasonable rates

After you book on Expedia, this property will hold an additional $100.00 "deposit". I got in at midnight and they spring that fee on me. I paid it but they said they didn't receive the payment "on our end" even though it had come out of my account under BEST WESTERN in my banking app. So they made me pay the $100. 00 fee AGAIN or they said I would have to find somewhere else to stay. Scary and disgusting If I knew I would be shelling out over 300.00 I wouldn't have been staying at this wet dog and pennies smelling rot hole.

Breakfast was amazing and the entire staff was super friendly and over the top helpful. Even got a breakfast bag Togo as we left super early. Highly recommend this hotel. Will visit again if I am passing through.

Clean rooms, just older

This motel is at the north end of town, and there were really no dinner options without driving back into town, in the dark and the rain. As we were going north, it was nice in the morning to grab breakfast (provided) and hit the freeway without having to go back through town.

Joyce was amazing!! They were faster than the computer and so kind and friendly.

Beds were kind of hard and it’s close to interstate five so you hear trucks driving by all night.

Room very clean, and we were put in a quiet room away from a lot of foot traffic, elevator, stairs etc. Any questions we had were answered most pleasantly and efficiently. We will definitely stay there again, and hope that the two reception ladies are the same when we do. They were so upbeat and eager to make our stay pleasurable.

The parking lot had a HUGE hole in the asphalt by the back of the building and was difficult to see-surprised it didn’t bend my front wheel rim. The outside of the hotel looks like a prison-bars everywhere. There was an alarm/beeping noise in the hallway outside my room door- like the one you hear when your smoke detector needs the battery replaced. Woke me up at about 2:20 am. Was still making the same noise when I checked out at 6:15. Notified front desk-no response. Terrible room, terrible front desk and terrible location. I’m embarrassed (for Best Western) that they would put their name on such a place.

We have been coming to this location for probably 10 years, because we live in San Diego and my husband‘s children and grandchildren are in Redding and Shasta, California. The staff is always courteous, the rooms are always impeccable, and they’re at breakfast spread is fabulous! Kudos to D, Jason, Joyce )who appears to be an energizer bunny), and I believe the other front desk person was Jennifer? All of them seem to enjoy their jobs, and make the guest feel special.

When we tried to check into our room card key wouldn't work. Had to get staff with master key to open door. We asked to move after they suggested they send someone to fix our door. This place isn't full occupancy so should have offered to move us .

Room was clean and comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was easy to access and had plenty of options.

My only complaint is that the apple I chose for breakfast was rotten. Despite it's being nicely wrapped in plastic, as all the apples were, some of it collapsed in my hand as I gave it a squeeze. I took one bite and immediately wished I hadn't. I promptly threw the rest away.

I used window heater. It looks never used before. There is lots of smoke and triggered smoke detector too. I have to open the windows one hour long and made the room more cold.

There are no cameras to watch your vehicle towards the back, just the front parking lot of this Best Western Plus. Luckily we found parking up front by the office. There are only 2 luggage carts, and apparently the vending machine guy doesn't have a dolly for his stuff, so he was using one of the luggage carts for his products when we were checking in, and the other one was being used by another guest, so we had to wait... a while. Then when we went up the elevator, it smelled of onions. When we got to the second floor, it smelled like cooked canned corn. Our card ley didn't work, so I had to get Emily at the front desk. Again, she's wonderful and super helpful, when we got back to the second floor, it smelled like pot. She got the door opened, thank you Emily! The room was clean, the bathroom area was small, our closet door was broken, but we didn't need to use it, the beds comfortable and clean, the A/C loud. We had to go back out to our vehicle to get water, when we returned upstairs, the hallway smelled like chicken (there wasn't a restaurant open at the time). Sensitive to smells Breakfast: tried the yogurt, granola, and banana - all good. The sausage patty was like cardboard on one side. I don't know about the rest, but the waffle looked okay.

Was given a room for disabled guests without being asked or notified. Shades do not open. Shower soap nearly empty. Holes in room walls. No wipes in gym to clean equipment and weight machine was broken. Sink and tub drains were both left plugged closed.

Our 1st room smelled of Mold , so we asked for a new room , the 2nd room had Ants and the floor had bread crumbs.. So we left and went to different hotel.. we never got a refund. I will never stay at a Best western again. And to top it all of we never reviewed a refund. at this point I'm not sure if I'll even use Exspedia again..

Bad: Parking is not well lit. Seemed little uncomfortable in the night, when the card didn’t work for entry. Ugly : it’s scratching hot during the day and absolutely no trees/shades for parking. Your car would feel nothing less than a furnace.

The hotel was great! Unfortunately, we couldn't stay for both nights we had reserved due to the loss of a loved one. We had to cancel our trip and only stayed for the first night. The hotel kindly refunded us for both nights. For our next visit, we will definitely reserve the hotel again.

We got there at 2 PM, and they wanted to charge us $30.00 to check in a little over an hour early. We decided to wait. After waiting in the lobby for about 30 minutes, the front desk attendant said she got approval from the manager to let us into our room for free. We checked in and walked all the way back to our room only to find housekeeping in there. We then had to wait another 20 minutes. They have one snack machine that was only 1/3 loaded and was so old that it only took cash. Carpets in the room and hallways were filthy. Nothing in the hotel or room was in great shape—nothing. This was nowhere near a Best Western "Plus." Will not stay here again.

The property was right off the freeway, so it was easy to get to.

Upon check in, front desk lady was pleasant and helpful. She told me about breakfast time but we would be checking out earlier so she recommended the grab bags. As we were checking out, I asked the young man at the front dedk for 5 grab bags, he said with a rude tone breakfast is over there and gestured with his head. I told him we needed to get on the road and said the lady night before told me to ask here at the desk. He said, " I wish I knew that ahead of time" sounding rude. It took him maybe 3 minutes to get the bags but I could tell he looked "put out". We had 2 connecting rooms. One room the foor didnt lock and my room the sink sprayed water onto the floor.

Room we reserved was not clean upon entering. Went back down to desk, waited 1/2 hour, went back up, room still not clean. Given a different room, that was not accessible, got up to 2nd floor, key not working. Bed too high for a disabled person to get on and not sure why the accessible room is last room down the hall on the 2nd floor. Very hot in the halls, not easy to navigate a wheel chair on carpet and with narrow hall leading to elevator. Not impressed, should have been offered a rate reduction for all we went through.

Had to switch rooms because of ongoing maintenance. The new room we were switched to, had ants in it.

What welcome gift? Staff was wonderful. Location was right off the freeway-easy on and easy off. Breakfast was the same as every other hotel offering. Sausage is rarely good, but the saucer / disc shapped ones are not my favorite. Seems clean and the staff was nice.

Alittle dingy with age but overall not bad stay. I will say though that before checking out the next morning, I realized that our door did not lock from the outside. Without the key you could easily open the door. That said, we locked and deadbolt the door at night anyways before knowing, and we were only here for the night so it wasn’t the worst scenario. If we had found out sooner, I would have let the front desk know but we really only noticed right before checking out.

Overall a great experience, kind staff and amazing service. If I had to nitpick I would have to be that there where ants in room on desk table. Don’t blame staff or hotel, looks like someone spilled something behind or around mini fridge.

Staff was very nice however the room was in rough shape. Closet doors broken. Odd smells throughout the hotel. We had infestation of ants in our room. Wanted to tell the front desk at check out so they could fix it before next guests but there was no one there to talk to.

We have tried other hotels in the area over the years. This was our first time here and we loved it! The front desk lady was so nice, she also nicely helped another guest who asked to change rooms. The lady helping with breakfast was so sweet too!! We wanted to use the pool but didn’t get there in time. Hopefully on the way back!

Rooms were clean and even though the hotel was full it was very quiet. The view of Mt Shasta and Lassen were also an extra treat.

Cleanest rooms in the Redding area, at least that I’ve seen, also never too busy and has a decent breakfast. All in all would definitely stay again.

The stupid, I say STUPIDITY of having two motels in the same city listed as Best Western Plus means every request for directions and phone takes a client to the same one motel and you can never find this one. Easy freeway access

The room we booked was for a person who suffers from a limited ability to walk. Unfortunately, the hotel decided to put the accessible room on the second floor as far as possible from the elevator. Ulitmately we had to use the luggage cart to get her to the room as it was impossible to walk to the furthest point in the hotel. Just dumb.

Beds were great to sleep in, so comfortable. Room was cozy, and hallways were narrow, but it was an excellent place to rest.

Our stay was perfect. Easy access & got a great dinner recommendation from the front desk girl!

Check in was good. The staff is friendly. The rooms are sufficient for a short term stay. The breakfast is nice especially when you have children to feed.

Room was updated but was a little too dark for my taste. I like a lot of light in the evening could have had added another floor lamp in the room. Water pressure was poor but it was hot! Emmy was very helpful and accommodating my needs being I’m handicapped. I would stay there again.

The staff was excellent, Julie, D and Kellie (new trainee) were just wonderful gals (I hope I spelled their names right) The breakfast attendant (didnt catch name) she was friendly and greeted us everytime we went to the area. Stayed one night here during our travels, would stay again. Beds were decent and rooms were fairly clean.

The room was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The halls could have used a bit of vacuuming, but that wasn't a big deal to us. We'd stay there again.

An older property; needs updating but it's safe and close (too close) to the freeway. Breakfast was the usual BW fare; not bad. Parking area was well lit and convenient..

Breakfast is not very good, undercooked said ages, powdered eggs. Fruit was good, cereal and bread options were good.

Not around places to eat

It’s a bit dated and pillows are uncomfortable, but for one quick night, it suited our needs

The staff were great, breakfast was awesome, pool was nice, room was clean. All in all good hotel.

The room was not as nice as I expected. The showerhead was rusted, towels were fraying at the edges, and there were unpleasant chemical smells.

It is an average room, as expected.

No soap or shampoo in the dispensers. The key card didn't work (had to make 3 trips to the lobby) and still didn't work at the end.

I felt the room did I not block out noise very well, the beds were not comfy, and the room smelled like vomit. There was also a huge wet patch next to the bathroom.

The new soap dispenser but I had stayed there before and knew to ask for a bar of soap.
