    Unfortunately, what would have otherwise been a great stay was significantly impacted by a malfunctioning air conditioner. We set the thermostat to 72 degrees, but the room temperature never dropped below the low 80s. As a result, we were extremely uncomfortable throughout the night and got very little quality sleep. Because we checked in late, we initially assumed the room simply needed time to cool down and did not realize there was a problem until much later. By the time it became clear the unit was not functioning properly, it was too late to report it. We brought the issue to the attention of the front desk the following morning. What was most disappointing was the response. The front desk associate offered only a minimal apology and made no meaningful effort to address the inconvenience or provide any type of accommodation for what was a very uncomfortable night. The property itself is excellent, but the lack of concern shown when a legitimate issue was reported left a negative impression. I would consider staying again, but only if I felt confident that guest comfort concerns would be taken more seriously.

    I was amazed at the lack of attention to detail in my room. First, One bed side light flickered like a strobe. Perhaps it did not earlier. the shower door continually slid open. I had to pack a towels on the inside to keep the door closed. Every bath towel in my room was frayed. They should have been been discarded. Everything was resolved the next day at my request.

    Great place, I cannot say anything but positive things. I was worried about only 2 elevators but they moved fast and there was a separate maintenance elevator so it was not an issue. The grounds are beautiful with lots to do, I wish I had more time to enjoy them.

    Stayed for 2 nights for graduation. We've been here before and enjoyed ourselves. Great outdoor area and indoor common spaces. This time, beds (for me) were a little harder than expected and shower head was very low. Didn't work for the over 6' guests! We were 4 people, and only had towels for 3 (not a huge deal, we got extra). Had dinner once at the hotel and my husband's $$ steak was thin and overcooked. Not the cut advertised. Staff was great and we do love the location, but it was $$$ (maybe bc it was grad week? Didn't get offered a discount either).

    The air and heat was broken in our room. It was very hot in the room. Maintenance took forever to come. By time we found out our air was not fixable we did not have time to change rooms because we were running late for our plans. The hotel did not even offer us another room. I also was told by maintenance our room had been in a group chat for months due to its issues. I was very upset that someone who place us in room 537 knowing it had issues. The hotel is beautiful but it seems like comfort is not a top priority for guest.

    This property is absolutely immaculate. The check-in process was amazing. The staff was very responsive, personable, and professional. The room was incredibly clean and very spacious. We were in a corner room so we had two large windows. I could not have asked for a better stay.

    The hotel itself is not a 4-star hotel. This hotel is a 3-star hotel at best. The place was clean and looked nice, but the staff seemed clueless most of the time, and I got charged double for the room. The shower handle was broken and there were stains all over the comforter.

    Upon arrival the lady couldn't figure out my reservation (that I had already paid for through hotels.com) and charged me 5 different times for the stay and deposit. YES THAT IS CORRECT I HAD 5 FULL STAY CHARGES on my card. It has been over a week and I am still trying to get one of the charges off. The actual hotel was nice and clean, and if it wasn't for the people that work there, I may return. I am sorry but you need to do better Stateview Hotel, when you take water away at 8:00AM until 4PM, you need to give SOME kind of compensation. Some people in our party were not even notified of this issue . THEN when you realize you have OVER charged a customer 5 times, you should more than likely contact them and I dont know, APOLOGIZE? This is something that their higher ups should know about because if I am not the only person that has had problems, they are loosing potential customers in the future. **CHECK BEHIND THEM ON YOUR CHECK INS**

I found out later that it was a scheduled water shut off and there was no communication at the booking of the hotel or prior to check-in. Even at checking into the hotel, no staff mentioned anything about it. There was no discount. I would have absolutely stayed somewhere else had I known. They took the reservation and money and never said a word about the water being scheduled off from the hotel or Expedia.

    This is the second time we stayed here. It has become a Christmas tradition for me and my spouse. We would like to come every year. The room is very clean, neat and lovely. We usually have a view of the lake which is nice. Coffee in the AM is an extra treat. The staff at the front desk is always helpful. The only thing I noticed this time was a charge for the parking. That was new and unexpected. Not sure why that changed. All else was wonderful!

    I loved the view from the fifth floor, the location, and the cleanliness. I did not like that you have to pay $12 extra for the parking. Also, I ordered room service and the lady knocked on the door and didn't even wait one full minute for me to open the door. Then, she took about ten to fifteen minutes to come back with the food. Last but not least, I ordered a burger well done and it wasn't well done, but after the bad experience with the lady that delivered it I didn't want to "bother" them anymore and I also didn't want to wait for the food to be redone.

I had the salmon, my daughter had steak, and both dishes were amazing. The waitress provided excellent service, and the Mule I ordered was honestly the best one I’ve had so far. I did have a small issue with the hold on my card, but it was resolved and didn’t take away from how great the entire experience was. I would absolutely recommend The StateView Hotel to anyone visiting Raleigh and can’t wait to come back!

    I have stayed here many times. It’s always clean and quiet. I didn’t feel like the current staff was very friendly- they didn’t do anything wrong, but other places I have stayed in the past year have been more welcoming. Also, I was annoyed that they now charge for parking. It’s not a garage, so I don’t see a reason for suddenly charging when it’s been free before. Total money grab for no reason.

    Front desk was not as welcoming to me when I arrived and seemed annoyed. I wanted a breezy friendly check in after my 8 hour drive. On top of this, the TV was not working upon arrival and had to call the front desk multiple times, a fire alarm test happened during my stay, and the elevators were not working!! I also had to pay for parking. For the price I paid it was 100% not worth it! I've stayed in budget hotels with better customer service!

    Everything about the stay itself was great. I was a little surprised that with their location and the oversized parking lot that they would charge guests of the hotel for parking. It seems very greedy and ridiculous.

    The hotel was very pleasant and excited to be a wolf packer. The two things that I wasn't crazy about is that I ordered extra towels that never came and I thought the parking situation was very inconvenient. Especially since it cost $24 to park for the night and then had to walk a pretty far distance to get to the hotel and back again the next day.

    I was disappointed with this hotel. I selected it because it was an Autograph Collection hotel, which I thought meant top quality. The air conditioning did not work in our room. The first morning, the water in the shower did not get hot. We requested a different room and a refund for the first night. The staff did both. The second room was better, but the AC still not work very well. The hallways were also quite warm. The hotel restaurant was just okay. This hotel was a disappointment. It was close to the NC State campus, but still can't recommend the property.

    Key cards did not work for pool and they claimed to have table tennis, horseshoes, etc but when I asked they say they would call someone to get it and over an hour of waiting my son and I just called it a night. Rooms were clean. But everything else was horrible. We ended up checking out a day early because of the noise and no help. Would not recommend this place to anyone

    I come here because it is a quiet,beautiful property with lots of parking (included). My favorite part is the pool, and especially like that the pool entrance is on the lower level. My only complaint this trip was that there were no dry towels when I was finished swimming. Probably it was just a busy weekend.

    It’s June, it’s hot. It should be made clear your pool is under maintenance before booking. Did not find out until I read the little sign on reception front desk.     I paid over $300 per night after taxes, and honestly, that’s outrageous for what you get. I recently stayed at a beautiful spot in Nashville for less, and the quality there far surpassed this. I was really looking forward to cooling off in the pool since it was so hot—but the water was super cloudy and just looked dirty. Definitely not inviting. Also, the bar and food service doesn’t start until 5:30 PM, which is a problem when you’re so far removed from everything else. The food itself was just okay, though the drinks were solid. The room didn’t feel clean. There was pink mold in the shower and visible dirt in several spots. Some of the towels were so worn out they should honestly be repurposed as rags. The bed was uncomfortably hard, and the pillows reminded me of the kind you find at your mom’s house from 30 years ago—not in a good way. The photos make this place look way nicer than it actually is. For the price, I expected so much more.

    The StateView Hotel was a great place to stay for a relaxing weekend in Raleigh. The location was convenient, the hotel bar had great cocktails, the outdoor pool area was clean with lots of seating, our room was spacious and clean, and the staff was attentive.     Excellent place to stay. Fun, friendly professional staff they’ll get you anything you need. The gym was wonderful open 24 hours. I did water aerobics in the pool. I love the out dining. I like the outside seating with umbrellas that makes the difference the inside buffet and also breakfast was amazing. Must stay here. The cleaning crew amazing the Housekeeper fabulous

    Came for business. I’m a stand up comic. I was greeted professionally. The weight staff morning noon and night are all very lovely. They deserve double pay. I got the opportunity to meet the kitchen. Staff the bartenders the cleaning crew and I really loved the housekeeping staff truly great people. It was a beautiful opportunity. I’m also a part-time travel agent and I will recommend this hotel to everybody. I used to work at Disney World. This is 10 out of 10. I had a lovely time. Everyone deserves a raise. Thank you.     We arrived to check in. It was very noisy from a wedding reception that was in the immediate lobby area. When we went to check in, there was only one staff member working the front desk. We had booked a room with two queen beds and was told that they were sold out and they could only give us a king and a rollaway for three adults. Upon our arrival, the next evening we were to switch rooms and when we approached the front desk to advise the person working the desk that was the situation she kind of gave an attitude so you wanna move rooms? So we proceeded to say no it’s too late in the evening. We were tired. We were just going to keep the same room wasn’t overly pleasant. The hotels carpets in the hallway and in the rooms are in need of replacing the accommodations in the room. We’re just OK. The bathroom sink was clogged. Overall expectations were not met.

    The property itself is nice. Our room was nothing out of the ordinary. It's definitely off the beaten path depending on what you want to be near. The restaurant and bar was lack luster. I would probably not pick to stay here again.

    Love this property although I think it is my last stay; my son graduated from NC State, so I probably won’t be back as he moves out of the area. Staff is beyond friendly and Miss Jill is AMAZING!!!

    You need a place for people to go without the thumping music. At least at 6:30 in the morning. With such a great location in the woods by the lake why not just let the birds provide the white noise while youre outside.

    Hotel is great. They seem to always have a staff shortage. The staff that are there are wonderful though. Outside area is beautiful but never wiped down. This needs to happen all the time but especially in pollen season. Loved our room and it was very clean.

    There was a Saturday wedding that went on into the wee hours on my floor. It prevented me from grabbing a nightcap at the bar and interfered with my sleep cycle a bit. Other than that, my stay was great. I got to do my daily walks in a very welcoming environment.

    This was an overnight stay for a concert in a local venue. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and professional during check-in and check-out. Room was very nice, and the outdoor setting (on the lake) is beautiful. We'll definitely plan to return.

    Staff was very friendly, but when asked questions about the college campus, they couldn't explain where the track/football field was, or how to get there. They also did not have good maps of the campus to share with guests.

    What a pleasant surprise. The stay was very comfortable and we especially appreciate the lobby facilities and outdoor spaces which provided a great place to relax in the evening. The front desk staff was always helpful!

    Worst employee on duty at check I’ve ever encountered.. broken room door first room , second room broken air conditioner.. 79 degrees for 12 hours ! Yet not once did I get contacted from management when I reached out .. never again !!!!!!

    This was a gift to my mom. She loved it! She said that the hotel and room were gorgeous! Their room overlooked the lake. Although breakfast was supposed to end at noon, they were told that it ended at 10;30, when they arrived at 10:28 am. They were served food. However, the coffee was cold, and the service seemed rushed.

    It was very quiet and the grounds were lovely. The bathroom was filthy with balls of hair on the dirty floor and strands in the sink—clearly not touched and the rooms are old—need updating. While some of the front desk people were lovely, the manager, Samatha needs some better customer service training. Her own staff was far more professional. I was also mislead. This booking was supposed to be cancelled, ONLY, because I was told by the hotel that it would be. However, apparently, I wasn’t given the correct information and Samantha refuses to uphold the approval her staff provided. Shame on her for putting that on a longstanding and loyal Marriott member. Never again!
