Employees were really friendly, but the place really needs renovated. The bed was squeaky…. The place just looks terrible and smells.

You walk in to a lobby where the front desk has protective glass. Not. Reassuring. Rooms have no carpeting — slick laminate because I guess guests leave a mess. Very skimpy amenities — thin towels, tiny soap, plugs that don’t work, lamp not working. Never staying here again.

Staff were lovely and helpful! We got a room on ground floor which was perfect for travelling with a baby! Beds were pretty comfy! Was great to have boiling water on tap! There was a wierd smell! The breakfast was terrible, consisted of pre packaged cinnamon scrolls! Very very outdated! The area was a bit sketchy which we didn’t realise coming as a foreigner

Nothing!! The guy at the front desk was rude, they require a 40 dollar deposit for the room which wasn't disclosed until I went to check in and I actually ended up going somewhere else to stay because of it!! Bad experience all the way around!!

The location was fine and the noise cancellation of the room was very surprising. Minimum continental breakfast. Only 2 pastries and coffee. No water, juice, fruits, etc. Inside of the building you can see that it is outdated and not well maintained. The carpet in the halls was worn out completely.

During my week stay. Check in until check out, ALL of the staff were not only very nice; the front desk managers were above helpful and who I'm assuming is the GM(he worked day shift) was just flat out an awesome gentleman.

Upon entering, the rooms were spotlessly clean and maintained at a comfortable climate-controlled temperature. There was ample parking and security presence during the night. The rates were reasonably priced for the property.

Front desk is very nasty and the property manager is very racial

The check in took too long and I did the pre check in and then there was trash there fussing loud for a lost phone that was up front the whole time which made the super long check in worse! Also there is a lot of door slamming and loud talking in the hall ways at all hours Over all I would stay again room was clean and the price was good for the location.

Do not go if you want to sleep

The property was well kept, cleaning staff throughout the building. The elevator was broken. I wish I had known. The building wreaks of cigarettes, please use air purifiers if you are going to allow people to smoke. My room was pretty clean. Guest slamming doors all night.

when i went to check they charged me an additional $40. They said Hotels.com doesnt include security deposits or key charges. i explained i will leave a credit card they told me no cash only. Worse check in i ever went thru. For a non smoking place i was surrounded by smoke.

Staff was nice and the room was clean. Ours was on the street side of the hotel, and the noise level was loud. Unfortunately, the elevator was not working, so a room on the top floor was tedious. Breakfast consisted of muffins. Coffee was decent, though.

I did not enjoy my stay due to the fact that upon arrival, a first floor room for my disabled daughter, the elevator was not working throughout the duration of our visit, the continental breakfast was lacking. It was only dry blueberry muffins, and water down apple juice. Upon entering the room, there was water all over the floor. Someone unplugged the mini fridge and the defrost had melted all over the room. I called down to the front desk to let them know and he came up to have wipe up the water and then informed me that in about 10 minutes or so the floor should be OK enough to walk on. The room smelled stuffy and slightly like mold, but because of the nature of my visit, I was not able to find other accommodations.

I stayed here for one night and it was a very uncomfortable experience. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the entire place had a strong smell of mold mixed with cigarette smoke. There was no way to open the windows to ventilate the room, which made the air feel stale and suffocating. I barely slept because of the odor and the lack of fresh air. Overall, the conditions were far below acceptable standards, and in my opinion, this place is not worth even $10 a night.

Absolutely a disgrace. The rooms were dirty! Roaches crawling on the walls and bed! I canceled my reservation as soon as I got there which I did pay to have that covered with a plan through Expedia. The hotel refused they do not have an elevator so they cannot accommodate people with problems with walking upstairs. They’re selling drugs out of their clearly also prostitution absolutely not a safe place to stay.

My stay wasn't pleasant, towels and wash cloths were dirty with hair on them, pillow case had stains, turned water on this morning and there was no water, then when it came out it was Brown (I have a video). Couldn't shower, wash face, or brush my teeth before I had to leave at 6:30 this morning. Was told when I checked out they had a leak and was without water for two hours. I truly feel like staying here was like flushing money down the drain.

The room was spotless, the amenities cool my grandson said especially the Wifi. Every staff member we met helpful and like meeting old friends. I especially appreciated everyone being so attentive to my grandson. He does love to talk and ask questions. Thank you!

Elevator has been broken for several weeks. My room was on 3rd floor. Staff was not polite. Had cockroachs everywhere and continental breakfast consisted of tiny mini muffins that's it. Hotel should be shut down. Smelled of marijuana company constantly

Fairly clean room. The bracket to hold the hand held shower head was broken. Breakfast was a joke, only store bought mini muffins, orange and apple juice and coffee, not a full breakfast. I gave 1 star because the elevator is not working. Looking at the reviews this has been inoperable for months. How long does it take to get it repair. Carrying luggage to the 3rd and 4th floor is a lot. Please get this fixed immediately.

Way to much noise in the hallways after hours some lady was arguing 4 am in the morning. Seen a roach in the bathroom also the elevators and vending machines where broke.

Outside the whole building, garbage everywhere! Cigarette butts, trash, liquor bottles. Bottom floor is infested with cockroachs!! Crawling everywhere at night, so gross I woke up to one crawling up my arm!!!! Disgusting!!! Hall rugs look like they have NEVER been cleaned. No smoking - yet the halls smelled horrible! RUN-- DON'T STAY HERE!!!!

The breakfast included muffins, coffee, and tea. Expected more. The location is in a less safe part of town. People were in the hallway outside our room arguing loudly and swearing late at night and very early in the morning. Not a pleasant experience. Canceled a future reservation because of this.

I booked this room for me and another person. That person got there before I did and they would not let them check in. When I got there, I immediately felt unsafe because of all the loitering going on in the parking lot. There was only one person working the front desk and the wait to check in was incredibly long, even at 10pm. The elevator was broken, but this was not noted anywhere during the booking process. There was refusal to give any lower floor than 4th. Due to medical conditions, the person staying with me could not climb four flights of stairs. I tried to cancel the reservation due to this, but was told they would only cancel one night, not both-even though the negligence was on their part.

Super 8 is Super 8. But this location does everything they can to make your stay as accommodating as possible. The maids are here and attentive during the day and management is actively changing, cleaning, painting, etc. The bathrooms are clean. Room itself is just older. Decent lighting. Beds are okay. Vending Ice Microwave available. Located at a decent section of Capital.

No continental breakfast, stale old muffins, the hallway smells like urine. Old carpet. The ac doesn't work even when it's on in the 50s it blow hot air. One of the office staff personnel is nosy, broken elevator, police always at the hotel. Do not recommend. Do not stay there, rooms extra on the small side.

This place was not upto par to any standards , just like last place thru Hotels . Com. We will not be using this website anymore. False advertisement.

I waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the desk to check in and I called the number 3 times and the call was never answered. The elevator was out of service The stairwell and hallway were dirty but my room was clean. The area had individuals loitering and at night a private security officer patrolled. The breakfast consisted of mini muffins and coffee. I will not stay here again

Near most of your favorite eateries and in a great location.

The breakfast was crappy. Walmart mini muffins next to pictures of fine pastries. Coffee was good though. Staff was wonderful. All needs and requests for change of room and broken chair were addressed by wonderful staff folk. Clean room and soft bed. I will stay there again.

About the bed ( the blankets have holes, AC wasn't works good , the box of the tissues it was have 3 only, when we gets in we find cockroach and spider dead in the middle of the room and the bathroom. But the hotel era its an amazing because it have alot of places to go around, it was little vacation with my kids so we stay out all day as much as we can so we come back to sleep only so.

They didn’t have enough towels for all of my guests (4). Also, there was a sheet with a burn hole in it.

Overall a pleasant stay a good cleaning in the common areas ie hallways and entrances but for the most part my room itself was clean though. I would stay here again.

The staff is great, very caring and respectful. They really try to accommodate what you ask for. Tge rooms are very clean, and very quiet.

Unfortunately the towels had hair stuck in them from previous guests. The chair in my room was broken. There was a burn hole in the top blanket on one of the beds. The smell of the room was not very pleasant. It was a bed for the night though.

Was able to change to a room more aligned with my needs without an issue. The room had only soap for toiletries, no coffee pot or iron, but the room itself was clean and bright.

Room was clean and bed comfortable. However, the work station chair, I felt like I couldn't sit back in it....fear of falling backwards. No ice bucket, probably because no ice machine on my floor. No freezer, fridge didn't seem to cool properly.

The room cleaning could have been better; and there was noise from nearby rooms early in the morning and occasionally in the middle of the night. The price was a bargain, though.

The phone wasn't hooked up so no phone service, the continental breakfast food was stale and banana rotten, didn't smell well messed with my sinus allergies, noisy and overwhelming scent of marijuana.

Roaches galore in room and facility clean but needs mad pest control. The hotel attendant tried to accommodate and change to different room but still had roaches. Smoking smell in non smoking rooms, stragglers, say maxi pad in hallway, and facility needs cleaning 24hrs. Came previously in 2019 was more decent than current conditions. Bed was comfortable and only highlight of stay. Went out for State Fair came back roach in bed

I have stayed at many Super 8 hotels over the years. I chose it because of the price as I was going to be there for 4 days and was planning to only be there for sleeping. Here are the good things: it was close to where my family lived and the cleaning staff were friendly. Now comes the list of bad things: there were no iron or ironing boards available. Desk staff informed me that they were getting stolen. Complimentary breakfast was basically non-filling. They did have coffee, tea, juice & an assortment of individually wrapped, bite-sized muffins that you could finish off in two bites. Definitely not something that you would take family too. It wasn't exactly pet friendly unless you count the occasional roach that wasn't paying anything towards my rental. There was a desk in all of the rooms but mine didn't have a chair to sit at so I couldn't do some of the work that I needed to do. Oh, let me not forget to mention that it was a room with double beds. Great for me and my kids except for the fact that most double beds that I have used are queen size. These were full-sized so sharing a bed unless you were spooning was not comfortable as you fought for space. Super 8, you really disappointed me this time & I don't think that I will be returning. It was a good run while it lasted but it's time to say goodbye. It wasn't you, it was me & my expectations of how it used to be. Maybe it's because I was in Raleigh, North Carolina and that's normal for there but I doubt it.

It was very noisy in the hallway thru out the night making it very difficult to get a good nights sleep. There was no clock, TV guide, hair dryer or extra blanket in the room. We notice police present when we first got to the hotel.

Well the elevator broke down which really brigs the rating waaaay down for me. I'm physically disabled. Climbing stairs oh brutha, too much discomfort plus I have hips and a kaboose. This shouldn't be a Wyndam property at all. I've stayed at several Wyndam hotels and this one doesn't deserve to be onbthe list. The room was dirty, bathroom had a lot of blonde hair in the shower and on the floor. Room smelled horrible in addition to the smoky smell. Roaches crawling, I bought roach spray. The elevator was out of order since Wednesday and I checked out on Saturday and had a 4th floor room. Don’t waste your money. Carpet in hallways are filthy with stains and smells terrible in those hallways. Horrible experience. Sketchy area. Never again.

Got a new room 3 times due to the first two having a non functioning tv and ac and smelled like smoke and marijuana. Our room we stayed in smelled like chemicals and smoke and we woke up with cough in morning and headaches. Bad area and crackheads staying there

Room was spacious and well-acoutered. Staff was helpful and courteous. Location was good, though (as with much of the city) access and egress on the major road was occasionally problematic. Gas stations in the area had the best prices around. Elevator was decent, rooms quiet. Good value.

Husband side had dip in mattress. No ice machine on each floor. One ice machine for bldg and empty, no snack machine. Free breakfast cosisted of mini muffin and coffee. Liked hardwood floor and room attractive. Rocks filled the pool! So, thats all folks!

Stay was okay. I had a smoking room that had no ashtray, no iron or ironing board, and the sheets had burn holes in them. I think it would be better if they would put these items in the room and not let the mistakes of others damaging the property to be insufficient in what they allow the room to be adorned in.

It was ok, They definitely need to upgrade the breakfast, That's pitiful. The housekeepers are awesome. There was a lot of shady homeless people and prostitution going on and someone asked me if I wanted to make some money. But as long as I stayed in the room I was ok

Our stay has been amazing. The front desk clerks have been awesome and the owner is there quite a bit and he is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He makes sure everyone is happy with their stay. The housekeepers are awesome as far as giving extra towels or if you would like your sheets changed. These people are all very friendly and helpful!
