Was happy with every thing except the in room coffee maker didnt work

It was my first time at the Hyatt…. It was okay for an overnight stay.

I asked to have regular coffee pods for my room as there was only decaf pods in my room. I was told by the front desk that the hotel had no caffeinated coffee for the hotel rooms, only decaf. I was invited to come to the hotel dining area in the morning for caffeinated coffee. Also, when I ordered an adult beverage, with lime, I was informed the hotel had no limes available. There was a photocopy of a small menu available yet the "cook was off," so it was suggested I order food to be delivered. I was traveling on business and needed an internet connection to complete my work. The internet connection in my room worked for the first night of my stay. The front desk staff apologized yet stated they were not aware of an internet issue. The room itself was acceptable. As a recognized name in the hotel industry, I expected the important details, as promoted on the hotel website, to be available.

We showed up late because that is when our flight came in and we could find no staff. No one was at the front, I called and could not get a hold of anyone. We started wandering around the hotel and calling out to get a hold of anyone. We finally opened an office and found a staff member asleep. It took some doing to wake her up. This took us 20 minutes to finally find her. After waking up, she took 20 more minutes to actually get into the system and get us a room. The reservation that we had was given away and we did not get the room we had reserved. We were then downgraded to a room with 2 double beds, when we had reserved a king bed. In the morning we tried to speak to a manager about our experience and there was no manager there. We left our information for the manager to reach out to us. They never did. The room we got was small and not great maintained. The breakfast was cheap. As an example the orange juice was clearly watered down and tasted awful. Probably the worst hotel we have visited.

We went inside to check in and the front desk was literally abandoned. For 20 plus minutes we stood there with the front desk unattended. Another lady waiting to check in went behind the desk and answered phone calls. Terrible experience.

I would stay here again, though, due to the airport shuttle which left the hotel on time and got us where we needed to be.

Picked this hotel so my son would have a place to hang out while recuperating from surgery. The pool was dirty and never did get cleaned. The so-called grill was never opened. You couldn’t get to the coffee during the day and they never have regular coffee pods for the room first time I’ve experienced such service not counting the big roach that went to the bathroom with me during the night.

The hotel shuttle was so convenient! The morning shuttle lady was amazing. So kind and helpful with my 4 grandchildren under 12! The only reason not for a full 5 star is the pool was not cleaned up on a Saturday and the kids were stinky when they got out of the pool.

The body wash bottle was empty in the shower. They had only decaf coffee in the room. The breakfast was bare minimum, it was pathetic. I have stayed in Hyat place before and had a really good experience, but this one was terrible.

Only complaint I have is I couldn’t adjust the thermostat on the ac. I even set to 60 and it would only cool to 70 and cycle off.

Extremely disappointed with this hotel. The management oversold the rooms, and when my brother arrived, he was told there was no room available despite having a confirmed reservation. This created unnecessary stress and completely disrupted our plans. The staff was unhelpful, unsympathetic, and offered no reasonable solution for a problem they caused. A reservation should guarantee a room, and it's unacceptable for a hotel to sell more rooms than they can accommodate. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to others.

Good location, clean rooms and hallways. Front desk staff was too busy on her phone to give attention to check-in and check-out. Tried to get staff to put up umbrellas at the pool, never did. Cost a bit high for the lack of attentive service. Have to get used to airplanes coming in for landing zooming right over the hotel.

Based on website photos and text, I expected better food/restaurant options. Unlike the website descriptions, breakfast was disappointing. Cold ‘hot’ water, instant oatmeal, mediocre coffee, etc. Instead of ordering dinner on site, I ordered dinner delivered from a nearby restaurant. The facility, room, and shuttle were fine as advertised.

Very loud in the rooms due to the airport being nearby. Our room was leaking water from the walls somewhere. Woke up at 5:30am due to the ac turning on/off and the airplanes flying in. When I went to use the bathroom there was water all over the floor. When I shared my concern with the front desk she smiled and dismissed me pretty passive aggressively. Didn’t offer to provide a different room or anything to make things right. We decided to check out that morning. The only bright spot was a staff member named Ashley. She was amazing and very helpful when I went back to discuss a refund with Expedia. I’m hoping for a refund for the unused 2 nights.

I’m a local with a broken hot water heater that was craving a hot shower. Shower was amazing. The water pressure was awesome. The front staff desk could maybe be a little friendlier, have eye contact so know that they heard you when you speak to them. The breakfast buffet was nothing exciting, basic foods.

Check In was quick. Front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was hot with lots of variety. I will definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel. Definitely needs some upgrades, & microwaves inside of the rooms… but it was good overall for a weekend stay.

Guest services at checkin were horrible on a long weekend maybe have more than 1 staff member working and possibly someone who actually has a good attitude. This place as horrible and 1 person manning a desk and bar. Not at all suitable for Memorial Day weekend

Physical property was fine. Staff was inattentive to needs. The facility had no regular coffee for its room coffeemakers. I had an early flight, and coffee isn’t available with breakfast until 7. The room has a refrigerator, but needs a microwave.

The room was spacious and comfortable, though the shower had a GIANT crack on the back end, and the wallpaper was peeling up (likely from water damage). Bathrooms are a bit hard to navigate even though we are a skinnier family (this would be hard for a larger person), Otherwise, the rooms are very comfortable. I chose this location because I love to watch aircraft (near RDU) and I certainly got my fix of landing planes directly overhead. Breakfast was okay, it served its purpose, easier than navigating to find an alternative. The gym was ok, also served its purpose.

This hotel is dated, dark and depressing. Somebody made the decision to use only low watt lighting. My room had a tear in the carpet by the bathroom which was bad and never repaired. The hotel also had no coffee for the rooms only decaf. How incompetent can they be? It is overpriced and very disappointing. Will never stay here again.

Booked because of the pool photo on Expedia and was completely disappointed. Not only did it not look anything like the photos but was absolutely disgusting and closed. Came with kids on a hot weekend and was looking forward to the pool or we never would have booked here. Corners of the hotel could have been cleaner and lots of hair. Down stairs ran out of water bottles which is ridiculous. Will never stay here again.

The hotel was clean. Time to replace the pullout sleeper, mattress was horrible. The parking is limited; on our last night we had to park at the parking lot across the street. The pool was dirty and not in use, that should have been announced at time of booking. Breakfast is okay. Housekeeping did not clean our room nor leave any clean towels.

The staff was friendly, and the room was reasonably clean. However, there was rust in the shower, which was concerning. I did not eat breakfast because I was hesitant, but parking was not an issue.

The rooms appear outdated in person than in photos. Some of the outlets didn’t work. The bathroom was quite small. And worst part was the toilet did not properly flush. It ended up getting clogged and we couldn’t find anyone to help. One positive is that they offer free breakfast.

When arriving we were given a room key, but there was someone already in that room. Then the next room the one bed was used. The staff did apologize about the inconvenience The shuttle was great and timely for pick up and drop off

Close to airport. Friendly staff. Found out we were charged by more than $100 extra compared to rate that day possibly because we were visiting from abroad and booked via booking.com. For reference, the price we paid for the night would be similar for one night in a 4-star hotel in Ireland.

This hotel is amazing for access to the airport if you have an early flight. BIG rooms, and very nice that way. There is no restaurant or bar, so you need to leave to do that, so if you have a car great, if not there is only 1 option across the street (which is good).

Although the bartender was friendly, it was extremely difficult to get service because he was the only person checking on guest, making drinks and answering the phones. Everything about the experience required more time and patience then should be required for a hotel say. The shuttle driver in the morning looks also the front desk person he was not friendly or polite. The bar had a poor sanitation score as did the dining area. A 90 and a 91 are not score as I would expect for a hotel charging $200 on a Monday night.

Our room was clean and so was the fitness center, but the rest of the hotel was not. Floors were clearly not mopped, tables did not get wiped down during breakfast service, bugs in the lights, crumbs in chairs, cigarette butts on the walkway into the hotel...lots of small things that added up. Staff was mostly absent, so when there were no forks or knives at breakfast on our second day, there was nobody to ask.

This was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had and I travel quite a bit. The rooms were small and hot, the AC did not work. The man at the front desk was in a hoodie, sweat pants, and basketball slide sandals, was flirting with me and was overall unprofessional. There isn’t enough parking, no parking on the side of the building at all and we had to park across the street at another hotel. The breakfast was a disaster and the lady “refilling” the items would put out 6 Eggo waffles and 10 strips of bacon at a time when the hotel was fully booked. Nothing was restocked as far as bowls, plates, cups, lids, milk, juice, cereal, etc. it was a mess. We left without eating the free breakfast due to lack of food. This place is a mess and needs to get it together because this stay was unacceptable. If I could have gotten a refund I would have immediately left and stayed elsewhere. Never again will I be back.

I got upstairs to my room and realized that the light wasn’t plugged in nor was the alarm clock. When I plugged the alarm clock in, I realized that I couldn’t actually set the time because the back of it was screwed in and I didn’t have a screwdriver Internet was in and out. It would always redirect me to a captivate screen, but wouldn’t always sign in. I was late to multiple online meetings because of this. I usually stay here when I come in for work, but I’m probably gonna look for somewhere else.

The check in process was easy and the hotel was clean, well appointed, and close to the airport.

Everyone on staff is very nice, but the breakfast has declined, the facility is somewhat worn, and the gym is very small (two treadmills and free weights). I had an unusually hard time connecting to wifi and many of the outlets in my room didn't work. There was none next to my bed. This is my third stay in 3 years. I'm noticing a change each time.

The staff at the front desk continued on personal call for 10” while I waited to check in. The hotel is showing its age but their ability to accommodate a family of five in a single room the night before departure was more than worth it.

We managed to make another reservation with a different hotel, with a shuttle. We’re still being charged for the Hyatt Place room, even though we told the Hyatt we were canceling within minutes of making the reservation. We explained our situation to Expedia customer service when the room charge appeared on our bill. No help. We’ll never use Expedia again!

Other issues, contacting the desk from the room was unclear and seemingly impossible. I had to go downstairs twice for simple questions. Finally, the tv was a pain to operate and the offerings were dismal. I won't likelbe choosing Hyatt again. It was not a pleasant stay.

Not the cleanest or comfiest place we’ve stayed but got the job done since we only stayed 1 night before our flight out of RDU. Would probably stay somewhere else next time though.

I’m giving 4 stars because we woke up to go to the airport and were supposed to have free breakfast, but nothing was there. Not even coffee, water, or anything set up at all. The different front desk person said “it’s usually set up but I don’t know what happened today”. That was about 7AM. Also there was no bartender last night. Place seems short staffed.

Everything was great, the Hyatt’s have not failed me yet. The rooms are clean, comfortable beds, water pressure and temperature of shower is good. The breakfast is always a winner. I loved the staff personality, each one I encountered had something special to bring to customer service. I will stay again and you should as well if you haven’t already.

We arrived at noon on Thanksgiving day. We could hear the construction echoing through through the lobby. We were told construction hours are 8:30am-5pm every day incl. weekends and holidays and that floors 11 and up were being worked on. We asked to see our assigned room, which was on 2nd floor. It was so loud that we didn't check in. We found another hotel. Staff were unapologetic. Expedia did not disclose the fact that the hotel was under construction till AFTER we booked. No refund. Waste of hundreds of dollars and time.

My mom and I were there for a funeral. The hotel was very clean and smelled clean. We were greeted by Ashley she was the best the two days we spent there. She checked on us to make sure that everything was going well. She gave us pointers of area restaurants to eat. On the last day of our trip, Ashley took us by airport shuttle, and she was pleasant got us to the airport with more than enough time. Overall, a great hotel experience and staff.

The room was ok at best. It served its purpose. I’ve stayed in a lot better in that area at that price. Breakfast was meh. Furniture and floor in the room was stained. Tub/bathroom was rusty. Needs updating badly.

The problems started at check in when they didn’t even have a room for us, even though we booked well ahead of time. We got attitude when questioning about why there wasn’t a room available. The hotel tried to check us out every morning even though we were staying 3 nights. Multiple times we had to get new room cards because they hardly ever worked and we got locked out of our room multiple times. Nobody spoke English in the breakfast area, so that made it very difficult to even get a new napkin. When we missed breakfast by 5 minutes, they refused to even offer cereal for my 2 hungry children. I would never stay here again. We spent $550 to stay here for the weekend, what a joke.

Staff was really nice. Rooms were rundown. Scratched furniture, cracked shower walls, stains on sofa.....Breakfast area had shelves above food being served....they were dirty and dusty, as was the decor on the shelves. Outside dirty. Needs pressure washing.

When my daughter and I checked in we went upstairs to the room 202, we had problems the toilet not flushing called front desk they sent someone to fix it. 2nd day problems again with the toilet and the shower would not turn off. Again they sent someone to fix it. He said we tighten the handle too tight and that was the problem. I was a little pissed off that they were blaming us for the problem he had to get a tool to fix it. How can we make it that tight. Also that night there was blood stains on the sheets. They sent housekeeping to come change it. She is blaming me for not noticing the blood stains. Said I should have noticed when I walked in the room the first day. I said that’s not my job, maybe when you put sheets on you should look to make sure there are no stains on the sheets. We left the room at 8:40ish the next day. When we came back to the room it looks like the shower exploded there was water everywhere, and again the toilet was not working. We had to change rooms I have pics of the sheets and the water all over the bathroom. I was there 4 nights to me this was unacceptable. But didn’t want to ruin the reason we where in NC. I paid over $600 for a Hyatt hotel not a motel.

At check out there was no personnel at the front desk. I called the facility number and even knocked on the staff door. I couldn’t wait long because I had an early flight to catch, so I had to leave my key cards on the desk. Other than that, the convince of the location near the airport and quietness was a plus.

Amazing and beautiful sat

The worst was no airport shuttle Sunday at 7am when most had to leave. Would not have booked it had I known.

The staff from receptionists to airport shuttle driver was very helpful and welcoming which made the atmosphere feel good

Bed was very comfortable. The area was quiet

The staff was very friendly and professional. For me the menu, was a little pricey. I don't eat out a lot.. Nothing too inviting on the menu.

The staff was quite great, there's only a few of them but they do a lot!

My biggest reason for booking was the pool. It was closed the whole time I was there. I was hungry in the middle of the night and ordered a chicken sandwich. I had to go to the front desk and was charged $16 for a very dry chicken sandwich on a dry roll. There was no bell service. I use a cane to walk so this was very difficult for me. I’m checking in the front desk clerk never even smiled barely even looked me in the face.

Honestly staff really need to work on thier hospitality here . It is important .

Hotel was nice, clean, and we had no issues. Right by the airport so unless you are getting on one that may be the only downfall hearing airplanes most of the night.

The lady that had checked us in was extremely rude. walls are so thin you can hear everything in the hall. They gave me a room where one sink didn’t even work and the other the handle would easily fall off. Went to complain about the sinks and then they moved us to another room.

We stayed at this hotel so as to use the airport shuttle, which was scheduled for 6:30 AM. At 6:20, the front desk phoned and told us they have no staff and the shuttle is cancelled. Furious with this hotel.

My stay was great friendly staff clean comfy the suite was a good size. Hot breakfast offered and close to airport I was would stay there again.

Our flight was delayed to the red eye, putting us in at 6am, I called tried to make sure we would have a room ready when we landed so we could get some sleep before our next flight at 4pm. Shuttle picked us up but the system is down and they are unable to offer any help or solution. My daughter and I are sitting in the lobby, tired and little sleep.

I thought I paid a little bit more in price to have a better experience at our hotel staying. Our flight landed super early in the morning and check-in is in the afternoon however I called around 12 o’clock to see if we can do an early check-in and they did have a room available so I was able to check in early, which was great upon making our way to the hotel, I noticed the outside wasn’t Maintained properly. There was a lot of food laying around at the entrance. There was a bag of cherries and a water bottle on the front ledge of the wall. The TV wasn’t working properly. I had to call for service.

The complimentary breakfast was very good, they had lots of choices everyday to choose. However I could barely get any sleep due to planes flying over the hotel every minute, also I was very disappointed that the pool was not in service.

Poor service. Airport shuttle was included in the reservation. I called the hotel and was told that shuttle will pick us up in 10-15 min. After waiting for 30 min or so, I called again and was told that shuttle is not operational. Had to pay to Uber to get to the Hotel. Front desk staff very unwelcoming. No bedding for sofa bed and had to go down to front desk to pick up the bedding. Terrible customer service.

The room was clean but had to request housekeeping ( read for towels etc. & not change of sheets) for a three nights stay. It seems that's the policy but wonder why. The toiletries were minimal. No microwave in the room and a small coffee maker that diid not work. Not a great experience.

It was fine. Would have been easy to find except for going road construction. Bathroom sink didn’t drain, tub could have used repair, otherwise it was fine. Staff was efficient and personable.

The property feels quite outdated and poorly maintained. There’s barely any staff around—just one person seems to be managing everything, which makes the place feel unprofessional and a bit shady. To make matters worse, the noise from passing planes at night is constant and disruptive. Overall, not a comfortable stay.

This property is extremely convenient to the airport, so we decided to stay there overnight when going to the airport very early in the morning. Checking in was a breeze, and the desk clerk was helpful and informative. Unfortunately, we found out that the airport shuttle was out of order--something that would have affected my reservation if I had known about it in time. We went to the room, and while entering with our bags, knocked a small piece of plastic trim off a corner. Looked like it was there just to be a bumper for luggage anyway. Finally, it bothered me that this HP does not seem to be up to par with 21st-century plugs. There weren't enough and they were not in good places.

We liked that our room had a partition between the bed and the sofa as well as a desk area and kitchenette. Spacious king size room.

The shower pressure was great! However, the pool was not open during our stay. The king bed was very firm and uncomfortable.

We booked because of the shuttle service to the airport. We signed up for 5:00 a.m. shuttle. Next morning, no shuttle service. A scramble to find transportation.

Great location, clean and spacious room, good breakfast

For breakfast, I only had decaf available so the attendance should be more thoughtful in replacing and preparing coffee. The bed was very comfortable.

We arrived planning for our grandchildren to be able to swim…pool was closed…3rd day of June. Smell of marijuana was in the hall of our room.

The morning staff was very polite but he couldn’t do anything. There’s no sign in the lobby stating any shuttle times. Will never stay there again.

I understand that they can't help the flights that fly within a few hundred ft over the top of the hotel all night long and keep you awake, but they could try to do some other things to make our stay better but they don't. The hotel is horribly understaffed. The front desk clerk was really snotty on checkin. Most of the electrical outlets in our room we're out or had issues. Desk phone wouldn't work. The sink by the coffee pot wouldn't turn on. The bathroom in the suite is so small that you have to go in and close the door behind you before you can sit on the toilet. The bathroom fan broken. The furniture is old and worn all the corners are torn off just about everything. Our partners room had no hair dryer or iron. They had to come borrow ours. There are only 4 drawers and they are very small. The coffee pot is horribly dated. Where are the Keurig coffee pots that are in most hyatts? The television had issues. It took almost a full minute to respond to any remote control commands. I just gave up. There are no vending machines in the entire hotel. The drinks at the front desk are about $6. The breakfast was a minimal compared to other hotels. The toaster broke and jammed and the fire department showed up because the lobby filled with smoke. The next day there was no way to toast any of the breads. The good thing is it had plenty of hot water.

The room was fantastic. Double bed with a separate living room area. All the amenities that we could need were available. I loved that there were full sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash rather than the wasteful travel sized bottles. Beds were wonderful, temperature was perfect, hotel was very quiet. There were plenty of breakfast choices, and breakfast was free. I usually only have yogurt so I can't say much about the food but the coffee was great! I will definitely stay here again.

Expected a bit of a nicer place with the Hyatt name attached. There was a weird funky smell in the room each time the AC turned off, TV was broken (screen very blue), the lobby was loud/annoying, lots of buzzing noises from the housekeeping room down the hall and the lights kept flickering. Staff was friendly and great, but the upkeep needed some focus.

Bed was amazing and surpassed the Marriot’s. The service was excellent.

Pathetic

Property has a tiny bar with very limited beverages and the manager was mixing drinks, buthad no idea how to make the 5 cocktails listed on menu. Nice guy (and friendly staff overall, but he had no experience making drinks. Overall, I would not stay at this property again. Outdated, secluded from any restaurants or things to do. Only plus was it being close to airport.

However, at 5:45 this morning, I sent the following text to the hotel text line after calling downstairs and ultimately going downstairs for towels. I had an appointment early this morning. After not being able to locate anyone, I sent a text regarding my request for towels and empty water bottles in the trash in my room upon check in I wanted to ensure I would not be liable for. Unfortunately, upon going back to the desk to see if someone was available, I was immediately confronted by Shauna who accosted me for sending the text to the Hyatt chat line as she stated she was right at the desk the two times I went downstairs. I acknowledged my actions, with the intent to later advise the issue was resolved. She continued angrily stating my actions would affect her employment. I am BEYOND appalled at her temperament, actions, and disposition. I will NEVER stay at the Hyatt and intend on escalating this matter with the District and Regional Manager.

Amazingly clean property. Staff was efficient and professional. Beds were great. Nothing to complain about. Definitely will stay here again.

The room was filthy and the front desk staff was horrible the room had never been cleaned - there was blood smeared on the bathroom wall and other peoples personal towels were u see the sink so the room had never been cleaned I saw and went to the front desk to request that they send housekeeping - they were dismissive and unresponsive— I took video and pics and showed it - hotel manager did not come in until 3pm - he was very professional and pleasant- he sent the info to their corporate office and I am waiting for resolution at this point to get a refund on this room

Was a good size.

The only thing during our stay that was a minor inconvenience was not having a microwave in the room. Other than this the Staff, facility, and stay were relaxing!
